1 comments about Dr. Walton's HypnoCD: Anger Management.
  1. Dr. Walton offers sound principles of human behavior. This is not pop-psychology in the sense of trying to provide "do-it-yourself" techniques for the purpose of undermining the role of formal therapy. Dr Walton is conscious that some human issues require time under the guidance of a licensed clinical psychologist in order to resolve the issues.

This CD is offered not as a replacement for therapy, but as an inducement to get therapy or as a supplement to therapy. I believe it can also serve as an educational tool in that the introductory discussion offers excellent information on how anger works.

Dr. Walton has been trained in all the classical therapeutic procedures and analytical theories. His approach is selective of that education based on years of successful practice.

In the United States, many people who need professional quidance have been taught to fear psychology. Indeed, institutions threatened by the existence of psychology have done damage to their members by claiming psychology is useless and/or evil. This CD is particularly useful for that group in that it serves as a calling card to therapy. Dr. Walton would be most please if this CD became a bridge for individauls to get help.

Dr. Walton's CD on anger is simple but sound, non-threatening but challenging.

It is well worth the money even for those who are currently engaged in formal therapy as reinforcement for the work they are doing or for those who have fininshed a round of therapy and need a booster shot.

Anger is basic to human existence. We need to understand anger in order to learn how to use it for the enhancement of life, not for the destruction of life. These principles apply not only to individuals, but also to groups and even nations.

    This CD is a gem.

  1. I work in a small office, and let's just say that my boss is never going to win "Mr. Congeniality"!! Although he is quick to criticize, I rarely receive credit for my work. I am forced to nod and grin like an idiot while he babbles on incessantly about nothing. I know that sounds like a receipe for happiness, but I believe I had some unresolved anger, frustration and resentment. I cannot afford therapy (as I am also blessed with crappy insurance). So after having incredible success with some of Ms. Decker's other hypnosis discs, I gave this one a try. Once again, the results have surpassed my expectations, and it is not an exageration to say that this CD has saved my job (and possibly my life since my surpressed anger used to manifest itself as road rage)!!
    A Reader In Palm Desert

  2. Ms Decker's voice is very calming. The hypnosis suggestions are practical and direct. The customer service offered at this company is fantastic. It is truly satisfaction guaranteed! Without a doubt, I will purchase Ms Decker's products again in the future.

  3. Janet Decker has a caring voice and firm approach, telling it like it is. Most anger management classes are for men, so I tried this tape instead. I listened to it continually, sometimes as as background noise when working. It really has helped. I remember her admonitions, especially the , " you live in anger, you live in misery", sstatement and it all rings true. I have all of her tapes and I think her work is excellent.

  4. I purchased this CD, spur of the moment and am so glad I did. My issues are not particularly outright anger but more daily frustration and impatience. Right away, I noticed a marked difference in my feelings, feeling more calm and relaxed with each use. I especially enjoyed learning the touchstone Ms. Decker teaches to use anytime you need to, to feel calm, relaxed, centered, which I use often, especially driving. I went on to buy several more of her CD's and have benefitted from each one. I have listened to other hypnosis CD's and this for me is the best so far. If you are at all interested in hypnosis or just relaxation and rejuvenation I highly recommend any or all of Ms. Decker's CDs.

  5. Having been through hypnosis training myself I found this to be an effective approach. I feel Janet did a great job with this CD.

  1. I have read numerous self-hypnosis books. This book was, and remains my favorite. It has great outlines, and suggested scripts for you to use as is, or alter for your own purposes. They also give DETAILED directions as to how to effectively change the scripts for your own use to get great results. It can be used for insomnia, weight control, pain management, or just general behavior modification. Many books enclose a tape of generic inductions. This book offers more, by offering less. They offer the knowledge to create your own self hypnosis tapes that will be more effective than a general purpose tape intended for everyone. Hypnosis is not one size fits all. This book will teach you the tailoring that will rival professional help. Great for those who can't afford repeated professional visits or have trust issues. You know that your tapes will follow YOUR agenda.

  1. This is a simple, clear and interesting book of instruction on improving our lives through the powerful practice of visualization. We alone have the power to change our lives.

  2. I found this a fascinating addition to my study of hypnosis and dealing with the aspect of my "shadow" self. It's really amazing how many of us sabotage ourselves with negative thought patterns. Although it may seem simplistic in nature...our thoughts really are our reality. And Coue takes us right to the heart of the issue. A remarkable book.

  3. This product was billed as a CD. The first copy was in an MP-3 format and would not play on any regular CD player. The replacement copy still was in an unknown format and would not play.

  4. Émile Coué

was a French psychologist and pharmacist who introduced a method of psychotherapy, healing, and self-improvement, based on autosuggestion or self-hypnosis.

He has been called the Father of Applied Conditioning.

Coué, who came from old noble Breton stock, learned hypnosis from Ambroise-Auguste Liébault, the founder of Nancy School, and in 1913 Coué founded the Lorraine Society of Applied Psychology.

His book Self-mastery through conscious autosuggestion caused a sensation on its publication in England (1920) and in the United States (1922).

Coué introduced a new method, the self-starting of conscious autosuggestion. He modified the theory of Abbé Faria by proposing that for autosuggestion to flow from the mind, one has to feed it first.

By repeating words or images as self-suggestion to the subconscious mind, one can condition the mind, and then the conditioned mind will produce an autogenic command when required.

His familiar mantra, "Day by day, in every way, I am getting better and better" (Tous les jours à tous points de vue je vais de mieux en mieux), is sometimes known as Couéism, or the Coué method. The method depended in part on routine repetition of the formula.

Afterwards Johannes Schultz developed this theory as Autogenic training

    Quote

Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better. - Emile Coue

  5. It seems to me that those written works which have the most to say are those of the shortest in length. This little gem gets right to the point while outlining key ideas without overwhelming the reader with that which is really inconsequential. Think of this book as an instruction manual for constructing personal prose.

1 comments about Mindset: Programming Your Mind For Success.
  1. I feel a little funny reviewing my own book but I wanted to say a few things:) I have read many many books on positive empowerment and tried many methods of hypnosis, manifesting the law of attraction, meditation, yoga, etc...and the program here that I developed is what personally worked for me. How well has it worked?

Well, I have set a world record, appeared on television shows worldwide, authored several books, worked with world famous rockstars, renewed my spiritual beliefs, strengthened my marriage, taught through my own seminars and workshops and walked away from a very safe and secure job that wasn't personally satisfying. SO I feel it has worked very well.

I am a man who likes a routine; I needed a precise routine that I could easily apply every single day without feeling I 'had' to do it; something that I could just do, then let go of my worries of success. So, I created that simple routine or 'system' four years ago which includes my 'Mind/Body process' and my '5-question diary' and my life has been improving ever since. I am able to minimize my mental/physical stress and the ideas for new books/products keep flowing out of me like a water faucet, as well as the calls to do new television shows around the world.

So whatever your goals, dreams or desires, I believe I have found a way to help you achieve those goals/dreams desires-Mindset. I like to keep writing simple, concise and to the point so the book is only a little over 130 pages long. But trust me, it is all laid out (in full color) and will get you programming your mind as soon as you read it. I wish you all the same happiness and success I am now enjoying:)

2 comments about Self Hypnosis: Creating Your Own Destiny.
  1. I know of no better book with practical self-hypnosis scripts, for personal use. With the author's guidelines, anyone can learn what self-hypnosis is, how to use it, and can use an ordinary tape recorder to create great results.

As a hypnotherapist myself, I have sometimes used Henry's scripts with clients, and have found them helpful for myself, as well.

    Yes! You'll like this book!

  2. I liked this book because it talks about things I'm interested in:

    1) hypnosis
    2) how the mind works including the sub conscious mind
    3) the Edgar Cayce psychic material as it relates to these things

The main point of the book can probably be summarized by the statements that appear on the last page:

Pessimists blame others for their problems.
Optimists hope others will fix them.
Realists take responsibility for their lives and make their own self help, self hypnosis tapes.

The book provides generic scripts for starting and ending a self hypnosis session and then specific scripts or 'cycles' are provided which cover a wide range of goals including smoking cessation and building confidence as well as more esoteric subjects such as past life recall and developing psychic abilities.

The idea is people can create their own tape recordings and then play them to hypnotize themselves.

For me I will probably just try to remember the scripts in my mind.

This books gets into more than just hypnosis.

It talks about mystical things like everyone has a vibration which is unique in the entire universe.

He mentions the 7 spiritual centers or 'chakras' which are bridges between our physical bodies and the spirit world.

The chakras are associated with the influences of the different planets such as Neptune.

Perhaps somewhere in all of this are important insights into the true meaning of mythology since the different planets all have their unique influences and were named after the mythological gods.
