  1. Pat Farrell is as delightful and motivational in person as she is in this wonderful book. I recently met her at a writing conference and radiance vibrates from her. She lives her philosophy. So if you need some helpful advice, pick up this book--it's well worth the cover price and plenty more.

  2. This book is a gem... each page brings a new and positive filter through which to view life. I open it to a page and read it... the message is relevant, presented in a gentle yet reassuring way and each time I read I feel better for having done so. Pat has reminded me of who and I am why I am here over and over. I am willing to have it as good as it gets and in case I forget, I pick up this book.

  1. Couldn't believe that such a simple, easy to read book could make such a difference to help anyone feeling down in the dumps to start looking forward again and find a little hope in seemingly hopeless situiations that we all face from time to time. I gave a copy to a friend in hospital and it was such a huge hit with the all the staff, I had to buy another copy. Truly inspiring words and beautiful photos and presentation.

  2. This book gave me a lift so I kept it by my bedside...but it kept sprouting wings and traveling around the house. I have three daughters aged 11 to 15 and they loved it. One started sending the motivational quotes by IM to her friends. They loved the quotes and want the book, too. Now I am picking up several for quick gifts...it works for all ages. From teen to granny, there is quick, easy stress relief on every page of this book. I finished with the realization that our only limitations in life are those we put on ourselves.

  3. There is nothing better than to be able to reach for my Hope Happens book and let it open randomly...I am amazed at how the right saying will appear for the right situation and uplift me out of my despair and dejection. Having initially read this book from cover to cover I have found many a favourite saying which has got me through tough times. This is definitely a book that should be left on your table top at work and at home and not shelved in your bookcase. Hope Happens is only ever a hands reach away.

  4. While I was browsing, I saw this book. I glanced through it & decided to buy a copy for my daughter. That evening, I decided to read it through.
I couldn't put it down. IT WAS SO VERY INSPIRING. I decided I wanted to buy 6 more copies for gifts. Everyone can use this very uplifting and inspiring book. It applies to everyday life and is a real gem.

  1. This book was presented to me when I was already on my deliberate conscious path. If I would have read this book when I first begun my journey perhaps it would have resulted in having even more clarity to work with. But either way, the book is a must read for those who desire to move forward int their lives.

  2. Wow. This lady does present some interesting ideas. A different way of looking at life but makes good sense to me.

  3. This is a great book. The used book option is fantastic choice. I have used this option several times and have always been satisfied with the experience.
This particular book is an easy read, and is suitable for most!

  4. A friend recommended this book, and I must say that I was skeptical at first, because the design makes it looks like a nice little "coffee table" book. I have read over 100 self-help books and feel extremely qualified to rate this book in an educated way.

This has easily become one of the best books on the subject.

I have a habit of highlighting important material so that when I want to go back I can re-read things, and this book is now a MESS of highlights.

I went and read all of the 1 and 2 star ratings, and I frankly can't believe them. All of those people want a book with THEIR rules for life in it, and judged the book on what they wanted it to say. That's what little minds do.

This book is wonderful, and I hope I come across more with such depth.

This is going on my top list- I really think this is a phenomenal book, and I hope the author gets it out to everyone.

  5. This is a great book. Is there anything new here? Not really however the presentation made good sense and the practicality of the advice was relevant to my own life and it might be for yours also.

  1. Bonnie's book is a must-read for all women and any men keen to learn quite a lot about women from reading it! After reading it twice, I promptly passed my copy onto my 15-year old step-daughter in the hopes that she could apply these empowering tools in her life and relationships now. Bonnie is spot-on in this short, sweet, fun book.

  1. The Kanes exhibit masterful insight, teaching
about a shift in perception which human beings
can make to experience profound transformation
in their lives. They work as a harmonious team
with great frankness and skill. In many
people's lives, years of gradual preparation
lead up to an "Instantaneous Transformation."
Hearing Ariel & Shya Kane can serve to speed
up this process substantially, as those who
have done it "the hard way" can look back upon
the teachings of the Kanes and say, "Yes.
They know and understand. Listen to them and
make the jump." Overall, one of the finest
and most inspiring guides I have read or heard
in the last twenty years. Highly recommended
for open-minded spiritual seekers of all ages.

  2. This is the best audiotape on transformation I have ever listened to. I have listened to it many times and I always discover something meaningful each time. There are many jewels of wisdom on this tape!

The Kanes share an approach to living that is both new and old. It is about Being Present, which of course many people have talked about. But what is new is they talk about it in a pure and simple way that is easy to grasp. They don't seem to have any religious or new age trappings. And they have helped me to see it in very practical day to day terms.

All I know is I feel more relaxed, centered and alive after listening to this auditape.

I have given the tape as a gift many times and people love it.

  3. This was the best Audio tape I have ever listened to on Personal Growth. The speakers both seem amazing and have very great insights that helped me feel more at peace, more centered in my life. I have listened to the tape a couple times in the last two weeks... and I feel good every time I listen to the tape!

What they are saying is so simple - Just become aware of your thoughts and behaviors - and they will no longer have control over you! But while I have heard it before - They add nuances to it that have made listening to them very powerful! I see myself more clearly, I feel better about myself. But it is different from all other motivational or meditation oriented tapes I have heard before.

The authors exude a sense of centeredness and joy. It seems to rub off on me. My life seems to get better every time I listen to their tape. And that's the real thing...not just an affirmation...

I just ordered their book...(Working on Yourself Doesn't Work: A Book About Instantaneous Transformation) and some of their other tapes...and I am waiting expectantly...

I am so glad I stumbled onto this gem of wisdom.

  1. Finally a dating book that's filled with insights into what each of us brings to the relationship ... good, bad, or ugly. With tools to help you better understand yourself, combined with stories from real folks and their relationship struggles and successes, I really saw myself with new eyes as I looked back on so many relationships that just hadn't worked out right. I learned about how I'd ignored Red Flags I should have seen all along. And I realized how much I compromised what I really wanted in a relationship because I just forged ahead blindly. The Seven Secrets of Love is fabulous at helping you examine all your relationships, not just the dating types. For anyone seeking healthy, happy relationships and are ready to move on past the disappointing ones.

  2. Relationship Rules, 12 Strategies for Creating a Love That Lasts

Dating in 2007 is like shark fishing in the desert. After reading The Seven Secrets of Love, I look at dating differently. Mary Jo's stories of dating made me laugh and inspired me. Men and women might be different but we all want to love and be loved.

  3. Imagine what the world would be like if we all read this book and heeded its advice. No botched first dates, no tears spilled over relationships gone bad! Instead, you start to feel like you finally have a chance at real love. Isn't that what it's all about? I've known author Mary Jo Fay for nearly a decade and can promise you, she knows her stuff and has proven it time and again in her many books. She has an honest, straightforward conversational style, but you never feel put down or lectured to (even when you realize YOU'RE one of the Desperate Daters she is talking about!). In The Seven Secrets of Love, she proves her wide range of expertise as she discusses those "red flags" we should be watching for, the all-important first date, the pitfalls--and benefits--of Internet dating, and how we can truly get what we want by understanding ourselves. Thanks, Mary Jo.

  4. FANTASTIC book. It should be required reading for anyone wanting to be in a relationship. That is, a SUCCESSFUL relationship!
    A+

  1. Our Bible study was expecting something a bit different and better than this. There just isn't that much to it. All we are getting out of it is a reassurance that our lives are out of balance but that is about it. There is some scripture but it doesn't always seem to go along with what the chapter is about.

The book has been good in the sense that it does bring us together each week and we do focus on some aspect of the Bible.
