- This is a handy little guide to handwriting analysis. Even beginners can quickly access clues to anyone's handwriting. I have had lots of fun learning what handwriting may reveal. I highly recommend this one!
- I have been studying handwriting as a hobby for many years, and I found this little book, with its pert little one or two word descriptions for many handwriting strokes, to be inaccurate as well as too general. Many descriptions do not agree with the majority of the handwriting experts that have written other books on this subject. The only useful info I found in this book was about doodles.
- The best little book on the subject that I have been able to find. Very thoroughly explains most "in's and out's" of the handwritten word. Helpful and informative, start with this book and it may not be necessary to buy an other book about handwriting analysis.

1 comments about They Write Their Own Sentences: The FBI Handwriting Analysis Manual.
- This tiny, 56-page booklet had almost nothing about the topic of handwriting analysis. The last two pages just mention that handwriting styles indicate personality traits. The booklet was really about FBI techniques for investigating check fraud. And it wasn't even very interesting material on that subject either. Overall, a waste of money.

- Mr Cammarata's book is probably one of the more comprehensive Handwriting Analysis reference books i own but it is still disappointing.
This highly referenced book is so careful in its presentation of description of handwriting but it offers NO EXAMPLES. Not a single one. So, if you have the list of books in his bibliography then it's probably ok, but without those other references - this is an academic text and not easily useful as a reference, which as a handwriting analyst -is sometimes good to have.
However, if you are an academic learner - this book would be ideal for you -just hope that your understanding of Primary Thread Connective Positive is exactly the same as Jacob Cammarata's or else you will not know how to apply the extensive details given in this obviously well researched book.
CLEVER BUT NOT USER FRIENDLY

- I came across this book quite by accident and I am so pleased that I did. I had no idea that someone's handwriting could divulge so much personal information. Once I started reading Love Letters, I was inspecting everyone's handwriting trying to determine their personalities, it was great fun! Thankfully, after studying my fiancé's handwriting, I found that we are a perfect match! I loved this book and will recommend it to all my friends! Cheers to Ms. Roberts for sharing her fascinating knowledge of graphology.
- I'm enjoying Love Letters tremendously as it is not only entertaining but extremely informative. Once I pick it up I find it difficult to put down. It's presented in an easy-to-read style with numerous clear and interesting examples of handwriting.
In searching through the book looking for insights into your own handwriting traits you hope that you haven't been revealing to the world that you are 'frugal,' 'secretive' or 'boring.' I can assure you though that after this wonderful course of instruction each time you put pen to paper you'll be wondering what you are telling other knowledgeable folk about yourself. Of course, a great benefit will be having some additional insights into the character traits of any new relationship that you are contemplating and, thus, heading off at the pass any pitfalls. Everybody can benefit from Love Letters as it brings into sharp focus an area of awareness about others that you may have overlooked previously.
- A different and fun book. Full of interesting stories and
the exercises at the end of each chapter are enlightening. This would be a nice game for a party. It's always fun to have different (and useful) information.
- This is why handwriting analysis and graphology are not given any respect. All this book does is profile handwriting of celebrities from a "love" standpoint. It is not at all entirely accurate to graphology standards and the author does a poor job of the analysis. Many of the samples could have many meanings in regards to intimate relationships, but only certain aspects were covered thus exposing the authors limited knowledge of this subject. While it does cover several celebrities, it is a very slim offering.
If your looking for parlor tricks to amuse your friends, this is the book for you. If you are a serious student, do an Amazon search for handwriting analysis books. There are much, much better books on handwriting analysis out there by trained experts in the field.

1 comments about Strokes: Inside the Fascinating, Mysterious World of Handwriting Analysis.
- Graphoanalysis claims to be the only scientific handwriting analysis system. According to the author, one individual, M.N. Bunker supposedly evaluated 30,000 people (page 133). However, the 30,000 specimens have never been available for review. According to the author, Bunker didn't care about fulfilling scientific standards (page 57). No one, including IGAS ( the International Graphoanalysis Society) has duplicated acceptable "scientific results" in the last 50 years--WHY NOT?

- Psychology says that everything we do is a function of our personalities, from what foods we like, to where we sit in the movie theater, to what cars we buy. How we write is no exception. By studying this book thoroughly, you can gain deeper understanding of yourself and insight into others whenever you see their handwriting or even just their signature. I now become more aware of what state I am in by temporary changes in my writing. For example, I notice that I use lighter pressure when tired, etc although I wonder how useful this really is to know. It can be hard to interpret some writing samples that are plain and lack unique traits. But this book, more than others, provides a complete and well- rounded approach to interpreting writing, and shows you that putting graphology to work isn't that hard to do once you understand the basic principles behind it.
However, I disagree with "Chapter 18 Therapy". The author alleges that because our writing reflects our personality that by consciously changing our writing our personalities will conform to our new hand. I tried this and found that with much effort and practice I could change my writing style. However, it didn't change my personality and from time to time I found my writing reverting back to my natural style.
