1. At last a practical, no nonsense, guide for those standing at the edge of the all too often frightening world of divorce. Years of experience by these two well-respected divorce lawyers are presented in clear, easily understood fashion; any one of the inside tips is well worth the price of the book. Getting divorced might not be pleasant, but it can be fair and amicable.



2. Just A wonderful book written by two great lawyers with years of experience. If you need a Family Law Book this is it.

The 200 things turn out to be very wise mandates for both women and men struggling with divorce.We were pleased to find that the authors exhorted spouses to pay their child support and to assert their rights to child support since it is not voluntary but a legal mandate. So...don't take out your anger on the kids!



4. Good advise for the wealthy but not for those with a small estate. If I was to follow their advice neither of us would end up with anything to start over. The lawyers would take it all.

   If you have a friend who is struggling through an illness or a challenge of any kind, this book is bound to help. It is an honest and informed presentation of the bright side of these "bum raps".
   
   This lovely book is the latest creation by a woman who has always spoken intimately about things few people discuss. In the supposedly liberated seventies, people whispered the word "cancer" and few even mentioned breast cancer. By writing the intimate and informative First, You Cry, she changed the way we discussed this killer of women. She also spoke about her mother's death in Last Wish, once again breaking barriers by writing about end of life choices. In Here's The Bright Side, she explores post-traumatic growth and shares the latest findings on how we are stronger and, yes, happier after life's bum raps, as she calls them. And, being a journalist, she backs up her insights with studies on post-traumatic growth and other facet of suffering few discuss.
   
   This book is sure to make you smile and look at your life with joy in your heart.
   
   And, for everyone who reads this and thinks...oh, she must be a friend of the author. Ms. Rollin and I only share and upcoming interview. And we both find ourselves happier and somehow grateful for the bum raps we are surviving.

3. If you have run into some tough luck and you have nothing else to turn to but this book, then I'm glad it is here for you. This book is fine for what it sets out to do, but I think it is better to live so you know you will ride out tough times. Betty Rollin said, "I woke up one morning and realized I was happy. This struck me as weird." I'm glad things worked out for Betty Rollin, but I don't want to be surprised I'm happy. I recommend Achieve Lasting Happiness to be happy without being surprised by it. I'm not only happier, but more at peace, calmer.



4. It's the optimistic side of life. It's not a story. They are experiences that everyone may has live or may will live. But, they are the bright side of them!
   Very good.

   Everyone fights; everyone has a best friend, or two or three. Well that's how it is for Abby, Bess, and Christy. They are three best friends until the end, or at least the middle.
   Abby is a boy crazy, Bess is obsessed with Zack, and Christy is the smart quite one that's barley talked about in the whole book. These modern girls are battling the drama of boys, fights, and learning how to deal with everyday rumors and gossip, but witch teenage girl doesn't?
   
   I thought this book was ok, it earned about a five on my list because it skipped paragraphs and had was to many side tracked stories and flashbacks. I thought that the writing style was very confusing. The connection I made to this story was to my life because all teenage girls are into boys and into clothes, and shopping. I thought the characters in this story reminded me of my own friends because each one of them has a totally different personality and that is just how my friends are so I could picture the story a lot better.
   
   I recommend this book to girls between the ages of ten and fifteen, because it is all about teenagers and ho they deal with the rumors and friend problems. Ten year old could read it because it isn't bad in any way and the text isn't inappropriate to that age. I also think a fifteen year old could read this because it is not too babyish at the point of being board. If you are into real life situations such as boy troubles or dealing with the "mean" girls of the school it is all in this book.



2. I enjoyed reading this book. At times it was hard to understand because it would say well Bess did this and Abby said that but no she doesn't mean that. You would sometimes have to read a paragraph over and over until you finally got understood what it meant. If you missed one part in this book, then you would have no idea to what is happening in the next part. Paying attention to what is going on is very important. But it is a really good book to me; I liked how the author made it sound like she was actually talking to the reader. It made it seem like she was at some times actually talking to me. I do recommend this book to mostly girls who are in [...] trough 8th. It was also very entertaining.



3. Gossip Times Three is an awesome book. It is by Amy Goldman Koss. It is about the life and the drama of three best friends, Abby, Bess, And Cristy.
   Abby has had a crush on this boy named Zack for a very long time. She always talks endlessly about him, and how he talked to her or glanced at her. She even carved his name in her drawer. But all of a sudden Bess blurts out right in the the middle of Abby's story about Zack, "Zack's cute." and Abby's immidiate reasponce is "Duh-uh." and continues her story. Later though, Bess also suddlenly comments "Zack has a goofy smile." This gives Abby a horrible feeling inside. Before you know it, Bess and Zack are boyfriend and girlfriend. This story continues with single mom troubles and of course, the Zack dilemma. It ends with a surprise.
   Any teenage girl should read this. It is a perfect story for middle school friendships and hardships. Although it can be confusing at times, it is a very enjoyable book.



4. Very possibly the WORST book I have ever had the misfortune to come upon. It drones on and on and has absolutely no plot. The only people I recommend this book to are insomniacs. If you have trouble sleeping, just read this book and you'll fall asleep right away. Yeah. It's that bad.



5. i read this about 6 years ago or so and i still find myself thinking how good this book was. i really liked it when i read it and i could not wait to findout who was the narrator of the book. the story of the three girls was really good and i loved this book!

1. Both as a pastor who gives this book as the best resource to those involved with helping children through split homes and as a divorced father who's daughter still has emotional scar tisuue, this book provides great advice.

   Unique is this book's advice given by sex of the child, by age and then by relationship to the child, i.e. grandparent, spouse who has custody, non-custodial parent, church, school, etc.

   So well done, emphasizing the two main thoughts that stay with divorced children and how to help them with these two.
