1. I enjoyed the tape (one cassette). Information was interesting. I found myself wanting more step by step information about how to do the focused prayer. This tape is mostly about how being in the feeling tone of already having what you desire can help to bring it to you. I'm convinced already. Help me be there.

   I bought the book at the same time, perhaps it will help with this.




2. I love this audio book. It is very informative and enlightening. After listening to this cassette tape, I found myself reaching the same wave length and conclusion that Deepak Chopra and Gregg Braden did. I would like to master this kind of focused prayer.

4. I loved listening to both Deepak and Gregg. Gregg is one of my favourite writers and speakers and his well researched ideology of Ancient philosophies is very relatable and intriguing. It is amazing how his scientific understandings come together with the writings of Chris Thomas who writes from Akashic records.

1. great philosophy of healing, but Ayurveda. You must be kidding? Can't say as the Hindus are the most healthy and long living



2. Time honored ancient healing practices coincide with the laws of quantum physics, as Simon brings these two seemingly unrelated subjects together in a seamless cosmic dance. From the beginning of creation to the end of our physical lives and return to spirt we are taken on a journey supported by the latest theories on physics. Simon is able to take the Ayurvedic process apart and using conventional medical terms, he shows us how to be aware of the first subtle level of disease.

   Following our "instincts" regarding our mind body system, becomes the initial diagnosis tool. He gives us permission to feel rotten, trace it to an emotion, a stress or just a bad day, and then provides tools to deal with each such event before one stage leads to another and an unspeakable illness crops up diagnosed by x-ray or lab results.

   Giving credit to the intelligence of our own "machine" Simon leaves the responsibility with the owner. It is the first "owner's manual" I have seen for the human mindbody that makes sense.

   Traveling through the suggestions we are acquainted with parts of ourselves we knew existed but have gotten away from due to the flood of medial and sociatal pressures that tell us we have no control over anything in our world any more, not even our own body.

   Honoring and respecting ourselves just the way we are, and not buying into any other source of information that proceeds to tell us something we do not, in our hearts, believe, is the first step in the return to wholness.

   I found it enlightening, exciting, rejuvenating and honest. A well written manual for the beings we are today.

1. The Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen experiment is often touted as an example of the bizarre nature of quantum mechanics: two elementary particles with complementary properties (spins of +1/2 and -1/2) are separated by an infinite distance (well, not really infinite, but infinite for all practical purposes). We do not know (in fact, neither do the particles themselves) which particle has which property, but only that if one particle is measured to have a spin of +1/2, the other one will be found to have the opposite spin (-1/2).
   
   After this separation, we measure the spins of both the particles simultaneously and find that the spins are as expected. The only catch is, since the particles themselves don't 'know' what spin thy have, how did they coordinate between themselves (at a rate faster than the speed of light) and decide which of the properties each will exhibit? This sort of communication is termed a 'nonlocal' connection.
   
   Deepak Chopra really goes to town with this nonlocal connection in his book Synchrodestiny, employing it to 'explain' such phenomena as how the human body performs the various metabolic activities so that one can enjoy a jog at the beach, how cognition is effected by the "'phase and frequency locking in' of the firing patterns of individual neurons in different parts of the brain," and so on.
   
   I stopped reading Synchrodestiny after about a hundred pages or so. The problem with these books which attempt to draw legitimacy from science [a plague on your house, Capra, for starting the whole thing ;-)] is that you already have to be a believer to get anything positive from them. If you read them with an open mind, you end up shaking your head in skepticism at sentences like these, which have to be taken on faith, since there is no way to prove or disprove them:We are both local and nonlocal, an individual pattern emerging from nonlocal intelligence, which is also part of everyone and everything else ...The personal, local part of the soul exists at the quantum level.



2. This is a masterpiece from a master. Of all of Deepaks books, I found this to be the most practical. If you are new to these paradigms or an ardent practioner you will find the way that Deepak unpacks the somewhat mysticism of this subject so refreshing. Yes there are other books on the topic, yet this one is the one that inspired me to take take action through daily rituals. Becoming even more aware of synchronicity and harnessing this power is the greatest gift you may receive. Thanks Deepak, I continue to follow my bliss and inspire youth to their full potential. Until we meeet again my firend, all that is divine in me honours all that is divine in you.

For someone who loves reading books on metaphysical and spiritual topics, I have hardly read any of Deepak Chopra's work - apart from one of his fiction books, SynchroDestiny is the first of his books that I've delved into! Luckily, it was a good introduction to Deepak and his style of writing, so I'll definitely be investing in some more of his books soon :).
   
   This particular book focuses on the phenomenon of synchronicities - those apparent coincidences that illustrate the larger forces at work in our lives. As the book's blurb states, "...there is no such thing as a meaningless coincidence."
   
   The first part of SynchroDestiny focuses on the science that lies behind synchronicities and the Law Of Attraction. If you're looking for a simple, clear explanation of some of the principles of quantum physics and nonlocal intelligence (the field), this is it. Deepak is definitely very skilled in explaining complex concepts in a very user-friendly manner! This section of the book also goes deeply into the concepts of coincidence and intention.
   
   The second part of the book is devoted to the practical exploration of the concepts. These exercises are centred around the process of meditation, using mantras to focus the mind. I found these exercises interesting and useful, although I altered the process of meditation described to fit with my own style of meditating. Deepak's methods may work for him and for others, but I found them to disruptive to my own rhythm, and I therefore had much more success when I integrated his techniques with my own. Don't be afraid to experiment a bit to find what works for you - there is no "one size fits all" size of meditating!
   
   Throughout the book, Deepak makes reference to the ancient Eastern wisdom of Vedanta, which describes much of what quantum physics is only now discovering regarding how the universe functions. In this respect, it is also incredibly interesting to read SynchroDestiny's Appendix A, in which Deepak outlines the principles of the Hermetic tradition, which has its origins in ancient Greece, Rome and Egypt, to illustrate how these principles match those of the Vedanta. Reading these ancient teachings demonstrates clearly that the Law Of Attraction is not new!
