  1. The story didn't seem believable..the editing was questionable and I just didn't care for it. I expected much more, I can't recommend it.

  2. I thought by rading all the reviews on this page that it would be a good book...NOT! It wasn't beleivable or very realistic. The whole thing seemed far fetched and questionable. I had to force myself to read it. It was not a good book at all. I saw so many errors in the grammar and spelling throughout the entire book. I can't understand why a publisher would put their name on this book!!

  3. I can't beleive I wasted my money on this book! What a disappointment! The story is unbelievabley bad and poorly written. The grammar is horrendous....why the publisher didn't demand a re-write is beyond me! I hope no one else is mislead by these 'ficticiuos' reviews, like I was. I believed them and am very upset that I wasted my money and my time buying and attempting to read this book. It'll burn well in my woodstove...ah, money well spent now!

  4. I stumbled unto this book looking for another I ignored the negative reviews and now I'm reporting on my disappointment from my decision to purchase this book. After the first few pages because of so many errors you don't even want to continue reading it. Dare I say I would have enjoyed getting my teeth pulled more than trying to finish this book. It is a book of such poor quality that I wouldn't even use it to line the bottom of my bird cage( I love my birds ). Anyone considering wether to buy this book or not, I say not. You can have my copy, it's at the city dump.

  5. NIGHTMARES ECHO is autobiographical in nature, portraying the author's life as an abused child and the resulting mental turmoil that followed her into adulthood.

The sexual abuse began at the age of nine by Ms. Stewart's father and continued for years after that. This young child, however, refused to condone the behavior of the perpetrator, while being forced to keep the secret to herself due to threats made against her mother by her father. Subjected to physical and emotional abuse, as well as the sexual abuse, Katlyn was special, exhibiting a backbone of steel and fierce mental strength in trying to keep the abuse from affecting her. However, as a grown woman, her efforts began to break down and she made poor decisions concerning the men in her life, while trying to deal with the anger the abuse had left behind. One very positive observation to be made is that Ms. Stewart broke this cycle of abuse and did not allow it to penetrate her own children's lives.

NIGHTMARES ECHO is a powerful read, heartbreaking as well as heartwarming. The reader is allowed to witness the mental state of a young victim of child abuse and her growth into a woman trying to deal with the resultant anger and pain. Ms. Stewart delivers a poignant look at the effects of sexual abuse and one woman's attempts to deal with the aftermath and her eventual absolution of what occurred to her. An engrossing read, one that will touch the heart.

5 comments about Stone Cold in a Warm Bed: One Couple's Battle With Pornography.
  1. So many of us have suffered the tragic effects of sexual addictions. This book is a courageous revelation of one couple's struggle to recover wholeness. You will be enlightened and encouraged. As a pastor I highly recommend this excellant work.

  2. Stone Cold in a Warm Bed is a wonderful resource for couples struggling with a sexual addiction and for anyone dealing with this issue in a counceling environment. It is not a clinical study or explanation of this addiction, but rather a clearly written and very candid account of one couple's experience. This book offers help and hope to hurting couples, and insight to those who councel them.

  3. Stone Cold in a Warm Bed is beautifully written. The Wilson's have confronted a difficult issue with sensitivity, compassion and wisdom. They not only share their story, they take the reader through a step by step process of healing. Kathryn Wilson illustrates what women need to know and what couples need to share in order to bring their marriage back into a healthy union. Readers will learn how faith can rebuild a marriage and heal the wounds of a sexual addiction. Kathryn Wilson's personal account and guidance will instruct and inspire women. They will find the hope they need and never feel alone again after reading this book. The most helpful Christian book on this topic that I have seen!!!

  4. The words of the author were a mirror image of the words of my heart, except I didn't know how to express it quite so succinct. This book provides practical and Biblical advice for couples faced with sexual addiction. It moved me from anger, bitterness and denial to coping strategies. I finally began to make sense of sexual addiction and how it has affected my marriage whether I realized it or not. I recommend this book for any wife that finds herself broken hearted and not knowing what to do next.

  5. I did not find this book helpful or comforting. It basically was about the author's marriage and did not offer any helpful suggestions. I was comforted to know that another woman experienced the same hurt, however, I needed ways to help get through the pain....not read the details for her marriage.
