- This is a nicely written book which describes most of modern moire pattern theory. The emphasis is on the Fourier domain and several chapters are merely an extension of papers written by the author. Another novel topic is the use of colors in moire patterns. In the area of moire pattern, this book is clearly the best so far. It has most of the recent developments and Amidror has put many nice figures which help clarify the material.

- This book is broken into three sections.
Part 1 is a general introduction to the study of color. We all know that some colors clash with each other, but why? Some colors harmonize with each other, we don't know why there either. This part of the book gives a survey, an overview of the main thoughts and theories of color down through the centuries.
Part II of the book is a detailed review and analysis of twelve books on color that were written over a span of about 150 years. These are books that have stood the test of time in their importance to understanding the theory of color.
Part III is a much more complete, even exhaustive bibliography of books on color. The bibliography is broken down into several categories to facilitate finding the references being sought. Finally there is a list of books that again is broken down into subjects, but this time into a couple of dozen categories.
All in all, this is probably going to become the standard bibliographical reference book on color.
