5 comments about Mork & Mindy - The Second Season.
- CBS/Paramount, please don't stall on Mork and Mindy again when there is one season left to release! I wish you release Mork and Mindy The 4th and Final Season (1981-1982) on DVD for the Holidays of 2008. It would be great if Mork and Mindy The Final Season is released on DVD before 2008 ends. You should have the color Blue with Mearth for the cover art of the Final Season. Please release the Final Season before 2009!
- This series is a clasic.
I had a major crush on Pam Dawber at the time of this series.
This series is funny but, strange.
When the studio releases seasons 3 and 4 then, I will buy the complete series. To many shows are released on dvd, that never finish.
Examples: Charlies angels, Alias Smith & Jones, The Partridge Family, Here come the brides. Mork and Mindy, Night Gallery. Just to name a few.
If the series were released as complete series, People would buy them.
- I grew up with this TV Show. I always loved to watch it when it was on. Now I can watch it when ever I want with it on DVD. Without having to watch theshows that are on the TV stations without them hacking the shows to bits.
- I bought the Mork and Mindy- The Second Season because I enjoyed the first season so much,I laughed so hard at times I had tears in my eyes, the second one is funny at times but not as hysterical as the first season. Some of the highlights of the second season is when the charactor Exidor is in the episodes,he brings an extra crazyness that seems to be missing at times in the second season. It still is worth the money if you enjoy seeing the genious that is Robin Williams.I started watching it for the second time and am enjoying it more. The first two disks seemed to be missing something from the first season and that was alot of the costars from the first season(Mindy's father and grandmother and the little boy Eugene known as "Plasma" to Mork who I thought was great on the show).
- This was one of my favorite series to watch when I was younger. Now my daughter loves it as much as or more than I ever did. It's good comic relief when you need it!

5 comments about Star Trek Voyager - The Complete Second Season.
- Star Trek was entering it's 30'th anniversary when Star Trek Voyager began it's sophmore season so there was a great deal of hoopla surrounding this season. In terms of the show the feeling was different.Unlike in the first season where the crew of Voyager were dealing with all their new challanges, this season found them truly facing the unknown from another "cartaker" trying to manipulate Kes in "Cold Fire" to Janeway meeting up with her hero Amelia Earheart in 'The 37's'. This also marks the first appearance of Q in this series,on this occasion moderating a fellow Q's wish to commit suicide in the excellent and topical 'Death Wish'. The doctor also found love and Chakotay discovered an ancient riddle of his people in 'Tattoo';many of the episodes in this season had a slightly surreal and mystical bent as everything of familiarity to the Voyager crew started to be questioned. Even in 'Alliances" Janeway cites the Delta Quadrant as a region of space without many rules. This season also works out some kinks in the shows construction;the Kazon were a rather uninteresting and poorly written adversary and came off as little more then a poor man's Klingon. So a series of story arcs come into play during this season in which they made their exit;a trader on the Voyager crew betrays unformation to the equally tretchurous Seska until being foiled by Neelix. Then Seska lies to Chakotay about having his baby (it's actually the Kazon Cullah's) and,in the cliffhanger the Kazon story is concluded after a failed attempt by Seska to commandere the ship. Over time this is probably the Voyager season I've seen the most because of all the type surrounding the anniversary year, also because I think many Star Trek fans were looking for any signs of sophmore slump. Well there really wasn't;just some weaker moments where the kinks of the series were being ironed out. And for sure great things were by now truly on the horizon for this series.
- The series that brought us back to the original premise of Gene Roddenberry's vision for Star Trek - To Seek Out New Life and Civilizations. Instead of being safe at home on our side of the galaxy, the Voyager crew are thrown into the "deep" end of the galaxy and on their journey back home, they are to encounter things unknown to the Federation. I've even had friends that are not fans tell me they enjoyed the show. It's just good TV.
- Voyager's second season had some of the best stories ever, most notablely.
shows like Innocence , The Thaw, The 37's prototype, non sequitur, Meld, and the rest. Many give a chance to highlight of the stars which also gave us a chance to understand them a little more as the seasons advanced
Janeway, a cross between Kirk and Picard in how she Captains this lost ship makes the show worth watching, However the rest of the cast can not be dismissed.
this is when I started watching the show. It was truly a great addition to the Star trek franchise. Now that they cut the price too be sure to add this to your set. Its worth it watching

- The crew of the USS Voyager has been transported 70,000 light years from home and the trip back is estimated to take 70 years. They have been underway for about 6 months at the opening of the second season, when they pick up a trail of rust particles that ultimately leads them to a colony of human descended from people abducted by aliens in the 1930s. Other adventures include more encounters with the Kazon, a very distorted starship, experiments with Warp 10 and a visit from Q. Couched in a science fiction environment, many episodes featured questions and ideas that face us both when the shows originally aired and today, a decade later.
- Product arrived new, just as described. It also arrived in a timely manner, less than 2 weeks. Thanx!!!!!!

5 comments about Orgazmo (Unrated Special Edition).
- After watching this movie several times over and memorizing most of the lines... I still say this is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen! I understand some people of the Mormon religion were offended by it, but I have relatives that are Mormon and still think this movie is funny. It is absolutely outrageous in it's plot of a young Mormon man on mission who winds up as a pornographic super hero. I will admit, I do have a very perverted sense of humor, which is probably why I love this movie so much. This movie does poke fun at a multitude of groups of people, so be prepared. If it is taken into consideration that this movie is meant purely for entertainment, then why should anyone be offended? After the first couple seasons, I started to feel that South Park was getting boring and stopped watching. This movie I can watch over and over again and laugh twice as hard every time! Anyone with a sick and perverted sense of humor would love ORGAZMO!!!!!!!
- I have loved this movie forever, just could never find it, I bought the movie and the shipping was fast and for a great price. The movie comes with gag reels and making of stuff with trey parker. Very funny if you like south park you will like this!
- But the older teens would enjoy it's craziness. Twix a super hero movie with soft porn and BlammO you have OrgazmO ... four greasy buckets of pop corn and three cans of root beer out of five.
- I highly recomend this movie! Don't rent it! BUY IT cause your going to want to watch it more than once! VERY ENTERTAINING and funny
- This is a very funny movie about a Mormon named Joe Young who needs money to marry his girlfriend. He gets offered a part in a movie, but it's a porno, which goes against his beliefs. He is a porno superhero. He finally accepts the role. Later, the director wants to do sequels, but Joe doesn't, so the director kidnaps Joe's girlfriend. Then, Joe and his porno-star friend need to bring the porno superheroes to life and fight the director to get his girlfriend back! If you love the stars of South Park, action, comedy, and hard-core porn, you'll love ORGAZMO!!!

5 comments about The X-Files - The Complete Eighth Season (Slim Set).
- I REALLY WANT TO BUY THE 8th SEASON OF THE X-FILES BUT EVER SINCE IT WAS UPLOADED, THERE ARE NO CHECK BOXES TO BUY EACH EPISODE. NO ONE HAS BOUGHT IT YET BECAUSE YOU CANNOT BUY IT, IT IS NOT WORKING. PLEASE AMAZON, FIX THIS! ADD THE CHECK BOXES SO EPISODES CAN BE PURCHASED (USING BOTH ie AND FIREFOX THERE ARE NO CHECK BOXES).
- While the 8th season limits Mulder to only a few bit parts, it strengthens Scully to a sharp point. Gillian's performances remove any doubt that she is a capable actor. She carried the last 2 seasons with strong supporting roles from Patrick, Pileggi, and Gish.
While many see the 8th and 9th season as the [...] stepchildren of the X-Files, I see them as genuine extensions of a truly great television series.
I am disappointed that Chris Carter did not use Patrick and Gish in his latest movie. I feel that their contribution would probably have increased it's viewership. But then again, maybe many of the X-Files viewers were just fair weather fans to begin with. This could be the reason so many disliked the last 2 seasons and then vilified the "I Want to Believe" movie, which I felt was a very well written, if not a swan song, to a most memorable show.
I am one of those fans who watches the season over and over...and even though I have seen them 3 times each, I gain more insight into the world that Chris Carter created!
- This series I'm sure people remember was the start of when Agent Fox Mulder's abduction by the aliens at season 7 series finale. The intro episodes has Dana Scully searching fervently for any trace or information on the whereabouts of Mulder when the bureau transfers a new agent to replace the missing Mulder into the X-files department. Of course Scully's suspicious at first of Dogget's personal agendas and feelings but slowly during the season begins to trust and befriend him. For me Agent Dogget was a welcome new character to the show he was what the character of Scully was in the first season a skeptic who believed and the physical facts and science of the world and not hocus pocus or alien life-forms he has never seen. Also later during the series we had another new character Monica Reyes an old friend of Doggets enter into the life of the X-files agents. The episodes on whole were for me hit and misses but still I feel this would have rejuvenated the series for a few more years unfortunately the show was either canceled after season 9 or they decided to end it there I can't really remember. The series sets for this incredible show seem to have gone down to a really fantastic price so if you haven't gotten any if these series sets yet I'd say now is the time...
- Quick service, good price and good quality product. Very pleased with purchase and seller!

5 comments about Suspiria (2-Disc Special Edition).
- I love horror movies, and this is probably one of my top three favorites. The story is ok, but the way the movie is shot and the technicolor are amazing. this movie is too good.
- Suspiria has a very ominous beginning, and great musical score that is not only slightly scary, and used throughout as foreshadowing, but also appropriate for the plot and main character: Suzie, a ballerina traveling from NY to Germany for a dancing scholarship. Upon arrival to her new academy she encounters an eerie, gruesome murder of a recently expelled student. Soon thereafter she falls understandably ill after seeing an anonymous, hideous looking woman (picture the offspring of Capt. Lou Albano and an Eastern European bearded-lady carnival worker) who looks after the schoolmaster's creepy, Little Boy Blue nephew.
Essentially, the movie breaks down as a mystery; the killer, cause, and source of evil is completely unknown and secretive until the final suspenseful moment. It's psychotic and seductive, a true horror tale that leaves the exposition as minimal as possible and saturates the senses with prolonged action and climaxes.
This is where Argento's reputation is well deserved. While the story and acting are average, the framing of colors and shadows are wonderful contrasts that can't be avoided; they simply grab a viewer's attention. The camera angles and scenery are stupendous, with soul piercing close-ups and epic, wide-angle work, each scene is framed with a deliberateness that works perfectly. At one point a shadow is so masterfully filmed during a chase scene that it appears to be the tormentor or evil entity that seems to be ever-so-elusive in Argento movies. Brilliant.
For those who want to jump into Argento, learn from my mistake and begin with Suspiria; because, Inferno is not where you need to begin.
- The work of Italian director Dario Argento may truly be an acquired taste. This tale of an American girl arriving at a European ballet academy and discovering its sinister secrets is interestingly executed but may leave viewers perplexed.
"Suspiria" carries a reputation of being a great horror film. It's not brilliant, really, but it's also not the worst thing on celluloid. I understand its importance as an international horror film. It's known for it's bizarre use of vivid colors and its over the top production design. Those are the most memorable things about this movie.
The best thing in this film is the first murder which occurs about ten minutes or so into the film. It's pretty sensational. But the film overall lacks a lot in substance and story. It's basically a stylish yet flimsy movie. For me it is worth seeing once. I would have no desire to see it again. I'm afraid I was not very impressed with it. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea. I know it has many admirers.
The film is in English but some of the Euorpean actors had trouble speaking English, so their dialogue was later dubbed to be more understandable. This results in a film that seems dubbed but a couple of characters sound like they weren't dubbed (which is exactly what happened).
The music (which has been praised a lot) is too loud, and really isn't great compared to other horror films of the 1970's.
So I would suggest that it's worth renting to see this film that is on so many of the 'Greatest Horror Movies' lists. You may find yourself, like I was, wondering where the real horror was. Personally I'd rather watch a truly scary 1970's horror movie like "Black Christmas" or "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre".
- I'm not going to insult your intelligence. I don't think you stumbled across this movie by chance. You've heard of it from somewhere. You're interested. And if you can suspend disbelief and just enjoy a movie then you've come to the right place. This movie has engaging characters, a storyline that certainly isn't hard to follow, trippy soundtrack, and a few shocking scenes... of what? Watch it and see for yourself! That's part of the fun!
- This movie is just great plain and simple, its a must own edition for any dario argento fan.

5 comments about Space Above and Beyond - The Complete Series.
- I've been waiting so long for this DVD release after watching some of the series back when it was first shown in Australia. What I saw, I enjoyed back then, but I saw only a minority of the episodes. This boxed set allowed me to enjoy ALL the episodes. It's a real disappointment that the series was never continued beyond the first season; there was so much potential for a great sci fi series.
- I caught several episodes of this short lived series and loved it. I had never seen the pilot and, while I believe Sci-Fi picked it up for a short run I still missed most of it.
I like the way the characters developed through the series and the writing, while a little corny in places was generally well done and played by the actors. I like the fact that this wasn't a "Starship Troopers" rip-off but a gritty and human look at people in real situations and the problems we face and are able to overcome without coming back and walking through cheering throngs to have the Princess give you a big medal for saving the Universe and everyone lives happily ever after. Soldiers are heros and "do what they do" and go home to live the rest of their lives with that experience. They train, fight, and grow as a unit and come to trust each other implicitly regardless of shortcomings and backgrounds.
What I didn't like was the presentation and packaging. Basically I think someone had these on tape, hooked it to a DVD recorder and let it rip. There were no additional goodies in the menus and the packaging was mediocre at best.
That said it was well worth what I paid just to be able to watch the whole series through again. I just wish they hadn't cancelled it so soon.
- I purchased this set after recently "discovering" Firefly, which I thought was superb. If only this show had been created after the Starship Troopers movie and Firefly, I think the writers and directors would have realized how much more they could do with the show. In the end, the characters aren't as intriguing or endearing as Joss Wheadon's characters. The potential was there, but definitely not realized - it's obvious why the show was taken off the air.
I trudged through the entire season and found the show only started becoming entertaining during the last few episodes. The scripts are atrotious, plagued by one-dimentional main charaters, cliche-laden dialogue and plot holes you can drive a truck through.
The overarching storyline is that humans are at war with an advanced alien race. While the viewer is to assume millions of humans are involved in the offensive against the aliens, the story is narrowly situated on a five-man squadron and their CO. Somehow the team evolves from being rookies guarding supply lines to an elite, higly regarded commando squadron over the course of a few episodes, which doesn't make much sense as they don't seem to be involved in any major combat. These five seem to consistently be on their own in what one would assume would be an enormous war. I'm sure these plots kept CGI and extras costs down. Regardless, the writing could've greatly benefited from a grander scope, or at least creating a few dozen more CGI spacefighters so it's not five moderately competent pilots saving the human race.
The special effects/CGI are subpar to what the Star Trek franchise was creating at the time (not a Trekkie, just using it for reference). The actors, while no-names, are all good, though I think better writing and directon could've benefitted their performances.
If you're looking for another "one season wonder" like Firefly, this isn't it.
- Having been some time since I first saw this series, I am startled by just how good it is. First rate writing, acting, and set/production values all combine to equal stellar viewing. (Pun intended) Got it for a super duper price too. Best TV sci-fi since ST Next Gen. Network TV's cover is blown; now we know they can do great SciFi. So where is it? Certainly not on SciFi channel. But it lives on in my living room, so it's all good.
- This was one of the best SCI/FI ever conceived, the kind that would even send Gene Rodenberry back to the drawing board. But, FOX time slotted it wrong and like all networks that screw that up point at interest in the show. If you don't like SCI/FI this will probably change that. If you like SCI/FI this will probably make you love it and run down to join the USMC. Okay, I'm exaggerating a little...It truly was a work of SCI/FI art. And please don't compare it to those horrible Starship Trooper movies. I would love to bitch slap the people who made those. Buy this you won't regret it! I honestly think, put in the right time slot and the severe beating of the Starship Troopers movie makers, this show could have seriously hurt the Star Trek series of the time.

5 comments about The Postman.
- Its baffles me that anyone could think this a 3 star movie, but 5 stars? This plays like a hodge-podge assembled from two or three different scripts based on different short stories, with casting giving it a PC spin, probably done to try to deflect the deserved harsh criticism. Of course, the entire story of the savior postman is enough to make most sane people embrace the apocalypse.
Perhaps if Tom Petty had starred as the singing postman it might have worked better as an intentionally funny send up of pop culture fashioning new messiahs.
- This is one of my favorite movies of all time. The story and acting are great, but there are a few episodes in the movie that don't seem believable. Still, it opens ones eyes to what could be ahead and the benefits of working together instead of being alone in the World.
- I LOVE this movie! I am still of the generation that loves real MAIL. As much as I love modern technology and use it, there is still NOTHING as awesome as opening my mailbox and seeing a letter from a close friend or loved one! When the "mayor" yells out--as he's being shot--with the letter he'd received from his sister via the Postman, "Ride, Postman! Do you hear me? Ride!"--I cry like a baby with goosebumps all over my body! It's true. We have become so dependent upon emails and text messaging that we have gotten away from the truest, best form of communication: a simple letter. Amazing movie. I wish more people would realize the amazing value of this great movie!
- I THINK that I want this DVD, but I'm still sour with Universal about the "Jet Li's Fearless: director's cut DVD (in case you don't know, IT WAS NOT ON EITHER DISC, just the first two original versions, and they seem to not be willing to reemberse the money of the people who actualy bought it, so...I'm cautious..
- This is one of the most underrated movies of all time. The Postman is not just your average post-apocalyptic scenario. It is a deeply emotional and philosophical film about the power of hope. What I love about this movie is that it shows how something very simple-- mail-- can become a symbol for everything that makes us human and for everything that makes us American. Yes, its a little long, and yes, the ending requires a slight suspension of disbelief. But the movie is good enough that you wont notice the length, and moving enough that disbelief hardly even enters the mind. I love this film, and recommend it highly.

5 comments about Tru Calling: The Complete Series.
- Very sad that Fox cancelled the series. It was great and really had me wanting to learn more about the characters. Great writers and actors. "Tru" miscalculation on Fox's part.
- I missed this series the first time. I saw a few episodes in rerun and got hooked. It's quite enjoyable, and I'm thankful it was available from Amazon.
- I loved this show when it was on tv. I don't understand why FOX didn't give it a chance before they pulled the plug on it. Eliza Dushku is an amazing actress. I've liked her ever since she was on Buffy. When I saw both seasons of this show together for a cheaper price than the 2 individually, I snapped it up right away.
- I enjoyed the series and the interaction between the actors. I miss the program.
- Imagine having the power to not only save lives, but to alter fate and destiny. Tru Davies, in this series, has the power to rewind a day and save the life of someone who was taken away before their time.
Eliza Dushku stars in "Tru Calling" as Tru Davies. Tru works at the morgue. She frequently gets whispers from corpses that come into the morgue. At first, the whispers are soft, but they increase in urgency as the severity of each case increases.
They usually ask her to 'save them', which then causes Tru's day to rewind and she is forced to relive the day until the person asking for help is saved. Sometimes Tru is forced to search extra hard to find clues to save each individual person, and sometimes Tru is forced to save more than one person.
The show really picks up once Tru discovers she has an opposite. Jason Priestly enters the show as the character Jack, who has all the powers that Tru has; the ability to talk to the dead and to rewind and relive days. However, unlike Tru, he chooses to use his powers to prevent Tru from saving people. He believes that there was a reason why they died.
Unfortunately, this was when Fox decided to axe the show, so this show has no real conclusion at the moment.

5 comments about Waterworld.
- most people don't like this movie, but i love it. i've been waiting so long to get the extended edition DVD, little did i know that they would just spit out the TV version. i'm am livid about this!!!! I WANT THE WHOLE MOVIE!!!!! why can't we have the original? waste of money.
- The product description for this dvd is hugely misleading. Not only is the running time just the extended cut and theatrical cut combined, but the extended cut is the TV version broadcast on ABC without the nudity, excessive violence and profanity. So unless you want the real director's cut which doesn't exist, this is definitely NOT it.
- I got interested in Waterworld after seeing the Angry Video Game Nerd attack the Waterworld game for the Virtual Boy (he'd attack the VB along with the movie itself). I finally went to the local Family Video this weekend to see how bad it was for myself and much to my surprise, it wasn't the abomination legions of people make it out to be, but that's not really saying much.
The plot is that the polar ice caps melt and flood the entire world, creating the setting we know as in the title. The few survivors from the flooding live on islands made of junk and live primitive lifestyles. A guy known as the Mariner rescues Helen and her supposed daughter, Enola, from the Smokers, a group of infamous looters. Enola, has the key to finding "Dryland" tattooed on her back and the Deacon, leader of the Smokers, will stop at nothing to get Enola.
The biggest problem is the lack of originality because think about it, Waterworld is really nothing more than an aquatic adaptation of The Road Warrior. Both are in a post-apocalyptic setting where technology is set centuries back in time and makes the world a "dog eat dog" way of life. Even the characters in Waterworld corelate to those in The Road Warrior. We have the Mariner, whose drifter-like character isn't much different than that of Max; the Deacon is a lot like Lord Humungus in which he leads a group of looters to attack any settlers they find. Lord Humungus wants gasoline, and the Deacon wants a map tattooed on a girl's back; both will kill anyone to get what they want. I can keep going with the similarites between the two movies but I think you all get the picture. While The Road Warrior was an enjoyable movie, this wasn't. Even the movie title isn't good. Come on, "Waterworld?" That sounds like a ride at Disneyland, not a post-apocalyptic action flick!! The movie is a little too lengthy; it's a little over two hours long, but it could have easily done everything in the movie in 80-90 minutes. One of the worst aspects of this movie has to be the Deacon, he's the villan but isn't menacing whatsoever, even when he kills people. I found myself laughing pretty hard when the Deacon had a prosthetic eye attached to his socket and said "It does look like ****." The Deacon looked especially ridiculous when he went on the podium to speak to all the Smokers and was wearing that stupid pirate hat. I kept saying to myself "Was Dennis Hopper trying to be as stupid as possible in this movie?!!" Apparently, he was. His name isn't the least threatening, either. The Deacon sounds more like something that belongs in church, not the name of a villan. The other characters can be pretty annoying in this movie. Enola was pretty bratty shortly after the Mariner saves her and Helen, I was actually laughing a little when the Mariner picked her up and threw her into the ocean after she drew on his boat with crayons.
There are a few redeeming factors in Waterworld that save it from falling into one-star territory. Some of the action scenes were pretty fun, especially when the Mariner gets into some gun fights with the Smokers on the Exxon Valdez. The scene were Helen is naked and tries to threaten the Mariner by pointing a harpoon gun at him but fails when he drops the sailing mast on her and beats her with an ore was pretty funny. The scenes I mentioned above concerning the Deacon's prosthetic eye and of the Mariner throwing Enola into the ocean were enjoyable as well.
Unless if you purposely want to see a bad movie, I can't recommend this for anyone for any other reason.
- Despite what some people say, this is an excellent movie. Now with the added footage which I only saw on network television before, it is even more complete and entertaining.
Costner does his usual great job portraying a man on his own in a disastrous future or similar situation where he has to rely on his own devices and survival skills to live through them. The movie paints a realistic view of an Earth mostly covered by water.
I think most viewers thought The Dennis Hopper part was overblown and ridiculous, but it only added to the entertainment value in my opinion.
And to those of you you think SNAKES ON A PLANE, THE DUKES OF HAZZARD and SHOOT 'EM UP aren't highly entertaining summer feel-good movies; I say - go watch a piece of junk (the word 'junk' here represents a long string of expletive deleteds) like THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY instead!
And please remember, these are just my opinions. You must be your own critic, whether you are paid for it or not!
And to the highly paid TV critics who constantly bemoan about having to sit through bad and awful movies, and are offended when the studios refuse to preview thier new movies for them; I say - Quit complaining! And get off your high horse once in a while and admit that it's just your OPINION, and nothing else while cashing your paycheck.
If you don't buy the DVD, you can always rent it!
- This is the second movie that I have purchased produced by Universal Studios, which included a extended/director's cut that was simply a production of an edited version that was shown on broadcast television. It differs in some significant respects to the actual theatrical version with regard to the deletion or altercation of some dialogue and other scenes considered too explicit for television networks. This is a lazy and sad attempt by Universal Studios to produce a extended/director's cut. Most studios, when releasing an extended/director's cut, include ALL the material included in the theatrical release with the additional scenes cut seamlessly into the movie. Moreover, the sound and picture quality on this extended edition is also noticeably worse than on the theatrical version disc. If I wanted the version that was broadcast on television in that form, I would have videotaped it when it was on. I will seriously consider whether I will purchase another extended edition from universal studios given the little effort they seem to put forth and the little care they seem to demonstrate in pleasing their consumers and fan base.

5 comments about Star Trek Voyager - The Complete Fifth Season.
- I recently purchased this DVD from amazon.com and I was very satisfied with the product when I received this in the mail a few weeks ago. I really enjoyed the episodes, plus the special features. And I thought that it was a really good, reasonable price for a Voyager DVD set..they usually run about $[...] or more. But it was well worth the $[...] I spent! :)
- Overall, season five of "Star Trek: Voyager" offers a very good batch of episodes. Even the few shows that are a little clunky at least have some interesting ideas being explored. But mostly you get intense, engaging episodes with top-notch special effects. Quick shout-outs go to the creepy "Night", the very amusing "Bride of Chaotica!", and the gritty Borg two-parter, "Dark Frontier".
And there's a great season closer, "Equinox, Part One", where the stranded Voyager crew meets up with another lost Starfleet vessel, one whose captain and crew are willing to cross quite a few lines to find a way to get back home, lines Captain Janeway and her crew would never cross, or at least haven't yet. This look at what Voyager and her crew members could have themselves become- or might yet become?- is quite compelling, and results in a darn fine episode (though you'll have to buy season six to see how it ends). And it's only one of many fine episodes.
The DVD set of the fifth season of "Star Trek: Voyager" includes the usual generous special features, and quality picture and sound. And Paramount finally dropped the price of this and other "Trek" boxed sets down into the "reasonably priced" realm. Get 'em while they're still there!
- Voyager is a terrific show that is well worth the purchase. My only complaint (worth a one star deduction) is not with the show itself but that of the DVD's. The discs I received had episodes burned entirely out of sequence. For example I would have episodes 201, 202, 204, and 205 on one disc. Episode 203 would be on an entirely different disc. Furthermore, the episode Dark Frontier was labeled episode 824 and was joined with episode 205, 209 and an empty episode slot. I love the show but I am wondering if either I got a bad set, or if anyone even bothered to preview the discs before they sent them into production.

Great Series, but Paramount NEEDS TO STOP CHARGING SUCH CRAZY HIGH PRICES!! The entire series all 7 seasons are priced too high! I don't like paying such prices. Obviously, I have paid a high price in hopes that prices would come down. The price did come down a little but still has a LONG way to go!
- I bought the entire series of Voyager, its a must for fan like me and it was well packaged, and sent with in a few days.No problem with Amazon, it was also my first buy on the site.Go for it.
