5 comments about Walkers Between the Worlds: The Western Mysteries from Shaman to Magus.
  1. I first read this many years ago under its previous title THE WESTERN WAY. This wonderful book, written by two who have travelled the path deeply, gave voice and clarity to my own vague spiritual yearning, and helped me begin a rich and rewarding journey of my own. I, and many in the West, have looked eastward to find a spirituality perceived lacking in the West. Yet, a beautiful, rich and coherent spirituality does indeed exist in Western culture. This book brought me home again, and stirred the analeptic memory of my soul.

Poetic, scholarly and practical, this book offers many rich and engaging practica for exploration, none of which are terribly difficult. However, approach them with respect; do not underestimate the power of these exercises to open the inner mind and heart.

  2. For those who have been searching for years for a copy of Caitlin and John Matthews' "The Western Way", omnibus edition, which was the compilation of the two prior western tradition magical works "The Native Tradition" and "The Hermetic Tradition", here is their definitive work revised, rewritten, and updated. The Matthews stand as two of the premier writers and practitioners of Western Tradition magic and native "shamanic" modalities, within a Celtic framework. Along with serious Western Tradition practitioners and writers such as Gareth Knight, who wrote the forward for their original works, and R. J. Stewart, who collaborated with John Matthews on quite a number of books, the Matthews have written an intriguing manual for practitioners, leading you on a journey to the Otherworlds, and leading you back safely.

As a shamanic practitioner trained in the Harner method, as well as a Druid with the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids, I can assure you that the practical principles Caitlin and John Matthews instruct in this tome are well worth the time, energy, and effort of those serious about magical and shamanic work. "A rose of the West should not seek to bloom like a lotus of the East", as the pioneers of formalizing Western Tradition have said, referring of course to Dion Fortune, Christine Hartley, William Gray, Gareth Knight, Israel Regardie, and others. This is not to disparage Eastern mysticism at all, only indicates that Eastern mysticism and practice is geared for the Eastern mind. Many people of Western cultures study Eastern practices, unaware that within their own Western cultural heritage there exists a lineage of spiritual and mystical traditions that are every bit as effective and enduring as the Eastern traditions.

Drawing from the myths, stories, poetry, ancient writings, and resources, the Matthews provide ample background to substantiate a legacy of Western magical and native traditions left to us by the giants who have gone before us. The Eastern mind and psyche is more attuned to the stillness, the still center, and simply being, while the Western mind and psyche is better engaged in activities and interactions with beings who habitate the many Otherworlds, as well as with our own Higher Self, and with our guardians and guides. These interactions can range from various divination methods, intuition, automatic writing communications, augury, scrying, inspiration, or actual verbal, aural, or thought-exchange interactions with beings. One can access otherworlds and walk therein, at will, with one foot in each world, hence the title of the book.

Considering there are organizations of medical doctors and other health care professionals who are now actively studying and practicing shamanism and shamanic techniques, in the USA and elsewhere, what was once a small and eclectic group of indigenous practitioners around the world has blossomed into thousands of people from all walks of life, called to this type of work and exploration, for whatever reasons. This book by the Matthews, whether one is drawn to Celtic shamanism, traditions, or magic, or not, can only help to enrich one's understanding and experience of shamanism and magic.

The practical exercises that were the hallmark of the earlier books remain, with enriching and updating as needed, but the structure of the prior works remains intact. I kept my omnibus edition of "The Western Way" even though most of it is incorporated within "Walkers Between the Worlds", for sentimental reasons, because it was the first book I ever read that was such a "synchonious" experience for me, one of the "Ah-ha" moments of my life, that I cannot let it go. It served me well when I was called to assist my late mother in crossing over to the Summerlands, and I took her on a journey to the Underworld so that she wouldn't be afraid of passing over, and she found it beautiful. That was prior to the "Walkers Between The Worlds" edition. All the important material and exercises from "The Western Way" were kept in the Walkers Between The Worlds" book.

Gregg Braden, author and speaker, has said that Mayan and other indigenous teachings refer to this time in the world as the time of the "Walkers Between the Worlds", and this has some significance to the year 2012, perhaps as a time of increasing and accelerating Earth vibrations.

  3. I really enjoyed this book and agree with many of the other reviews- it was a well-written look into the Western Mysteries, and divides its time equally between the shaman path and the magus. What I really liked was that the author's emphasized that shamanistic traditions are not inferior to the "high magic" branches of western tradition: this distinction is key in actually fully understanding the traditions. Overall and in-depth and enjoyable read with some useful exercises as well!

  4. It's impossible for me to know where to start with a book this dense. Even with all my years studying shamanism, Witchcraft, magic, and world religions, this book had lots of information that either elobrated on things only touched upon in other sources or explained things no other text ever tried to do. I knew I'd love the shaman section, but the magi section is where I learned a lot about paradigms I don't always agree with, but ought to know to be well rounded. As someone with no Christian background, I found the sections of early Christianity's involvement with mysticism fascinating. It helps if you have already read dozens of books on the history and practice of shamanism and magic so that the sheer volume of information doesn't overwhelm you. This is the rare book I can actually say advanced workers of magic in the Western Tradition can enjoy.

  5. This is one of the most comprehensive & thorough books I've ever read in the realm of alternative spirituality. It gives an excellent overview of all the main topics in both native/Pagan/earth-centered practice and alchemical/Hermetic/celestial practice. However, it took me almost 2 years to get through the whole book, as it is written very intelligently and requires much reflection to truly digest. Definitely not a Llewellyn-fluff book (although those have their place)! You will need to invest serious thought and time to fully understand & incorporate this book's concepts into your life. For this reason I wouldn't recommend it as one of your first alternative spirituality books; come back to it when you have studied awhile first. It will help answer your questions & fill in the gaps of earlier teachings. My favorite part are the Practices, which are like guided meditations that help bring the sometimes dry text to vibrant life.

5 comments about Clearing: A Guide to Liberating Energies Trapped in Buildings and Lands.
  1. This book is very easy to read and understand. I would recommend this to everyone wanting information about clearing your home.

  2. I found this a good culmination of a lot of good practices I use myself and feel it would be great for any beginning student or refresher for those in the shamanic practices.

  3. on space clearing, but have read several books downstream from this one on the subject. I believe that Ewing gives a very straightforward prescription on this practice, and I intend to give it a go in my house. I recommend the book particularly to those who may be leaning toward native american traditions. That isn't my leaning, but I enjoyed the information anyway and I believe that Mr. Ewing is very much in earnest.

  4. Pathfinder gives an excellent explanation of learning to see the reality that we are seldom aware of in our hurry up world of science and "if I cant touch it and explain it it doesn't exist" In our society we talk of sick building syndrome. Here is a spiritual way to clear our lands and buildings of the very essence of that sickness. In doing so we can begin to heal ourselves and our earth.

  5. I'm a beginner in learning of the Native American culture, traditions and practices. This is the second book I've read by Jim Pathfinder which is guiding me to a new spiritual life. Jim Pathfinder teaches in this book easy ways to do Smudging and what to use to do it with, and along with that he explains how you can rattle, and even what you can make yourself to rattle with to help with clearing negative energies out of you life. This book on CLEARING, is a very Spiritual instruction to help Heal Mother Earth and Ourselves.

5 comments about Masters of the Living Energy: The Mystical World of the Q'ero of Peru.
  1. Having recieved rites from the Q'ero I found Joan's book to be an impressive body of work.

Her intention to share the teachings of the shaman in an unbiased informative way felt impeccable to me. The work is devotional in presenting their truths as she struggled through two language translations. Her pointed questions allowed these masters to convey their wisdom within our frame of reference.

Her book is a reminder of our deep connection to the divine, at once a resource and a tool for our own work. I feel grateful to her for putting this divine mystery into words. I have not found any other resource to be as detailed reguarding the message the Q'ero wish to convey to us.

I recommend this book to anyone on the path of seeking more light for this universe.

  2. Was exactly what Iwas looking for. Book is in perfect shape and was shipped on time. Very pleased

  3. This is an awesome book containing information that is very timely and much needed to save our planet. - Only one criticism - this is an updated version of Keepers of the Ancient Knowledge but the only way to find out is by reading the introduction. Unfortunately I ordered both books and had to return Keepers. It would be awesome if Amazon had a way of letting customers know about updates with different names.

    Thank you.

  4. This is the identical book by the same author as "Keepers of the Ancient Knowledge". I have had to send it back for a refund. I was not thrilled to find I had ordered a book that I already owned, but with a new title. Nowhere was there any mention of it to alert someone of that.

But, it's a great book, and I was looking forward to more insights on the subject.

  5. This is the best book on Peruvian Shamans that I have ever read. I have read many books on the subject of Shamanism and I feel this is the best yet. The interviews she has with the Q'uero and the translators, the culture of these people, all facts pertaining to their beliefs, simply an amazing read. I would recommend this book to anyway who is embarking on the path of a Shaman.

5 comments about The Haitian Vodou Handbook: Protocols for Riding with the Lwa.
  1. Out of the many books that i have read (so far) on the subject of Vodou, this one was the most well rounded. There is no mystical aspect to the lwa when the author is speaking of them, they just are. This gives the reader a greater sense of authenticity, not to the book per say, but to the subject itself. Nor am i a fan of spiritual "excerises," but this book is an exception. i found the examples very usable from a theo-practical point of view. Lastly, i found the info in general to be cohesive and well thought out. Kudos and thank you to the author. Ashe.
    d

  2. A well written factual book which gives an accurate account of this belief system, without any of the 'shock horror probe' stories often associated with Vodouism.
    Well worth every penny.

  3. As a student, albeit a crone one with many years of spiritual reading behind me, I am enjoying this book and the conversational style of the author. The relationship between Lwa and practitioner is easily explained which is something that caused confusion prior to reading the book. A thumbs up! The book is inclusive of all who have an interest in vodou without being too elementary.

  4. I echo many of the sentiments expressed in previous reviews of this work. To add to those, my first reading left me with the impression that Filan not only has deep love and appreciation for her spirituality, but of the culture of Haiti as well. Practices and the lwa themselves are related back to Haitian culture, giving the reader a wider context of appreciation for this spiritual path, and yet, not alienating them from it.

I also found it refreshing that Filan went beyond the "how-to" format that so many texts seem to fall into these days; "I"-centric compilations that center around ways the reader can craft their way to more money, fame, relationships etc. Filan does offer suggestions for working with the lwa for help with such matters, but emphasizes throughout the importance of establishing a friendly relationship with the lwa, and thus with the community, within and beyond the spirituality, globally and locally. This is done in such a way that you don't feel as if you're being preached to.

The book is very user-friendly. Filan's conversational writing style will take you through the vast amount of information presented with ease--and I think the organization of the book helps as well. I found that I was able to open to any particular section for quick reference. For example, one section that I reread, was on "Sacrifice" in the "Practices" section. I raise my own chickens, and am familiar with the slaughter and prep that goes into bringing an animal for the dinner table, and subsequently, ethical use and treatment of animals for food has been a subject that I've been exploring (further recommended reading: River Cottage Meat Book). I thought that Filan's treatment of this aspect of Vodou was both respectful and informative; I don't think that most folks are aware that animals sacrificed to the lwa are also consumed as food. Put into the context of culture, and thoroughly explored, the basic practices of Vodou are revealed as the building of familial and communal spiritual bonds. Filan dispels many myths.

A great read for beginners from a long-time practitioner, this book has heart and substance. I highly recommend this!

  5. easy reading by an obviously intelligent author.Much more realistic than other authors I have read on the subject of vodou. He uses caution and humor. The best book I have read on the subject.

2 comments about Awakening the Energy Body: From Shamanism to Bioenergetics.
  1. Change is so much more than an instantaneous surface reconstruction. Real change is deeper and far more complex. Moreover, as the new change is integrated into the system, it becomes permanently ingrained.

Awakening the Energy Body is based upon Toltec traditions as presented in the author's other works on Toltec philosophy. Above all, imagination and becoming open to new possibilities are key to growth. However, once new ideas are introduced they have to be actualized through a process of orientation, training, craftsmanship, artistry, and mastery.

Awakening the Energy Body is quite an in-depth dense book. It is definitely not a Sunday afternoon read. Still the information is enlightening and well worth the effort.

  2. Both psychology and new age libraries will find much of interest in AWAKENING THE ENERGY BODY: FROM SHAMANISM TO BIOENERGETICS. It uses science from bioenergetics to study the ebb and flow of body energy and draws important connections between psychology and physical matter, and uses the author's Toltec tradition studies to reinforce the possibilities involved in body energy understanding.

5 comments about Instant Healing: From Cutting-Edge Scientific Research to Ancient Rituals and Holistic Medicine, Powerful, Drug-Free Methods to Help You Heal Your Body and Stop Pain NOW!.
  1. I got several books, videos and audio tapes from Serge Kahili King but his "instant healing" , which I have labelled "it never happened" technique - saved my life several years ago, when half of my face became paralyzed and when doctors told me that I'll just have to accept it and that it may even get worse over time.

The paralysis was bad enough that I couldn't even speak coherently (I'd have to hold my lips with my hand in order to make an understandable sound), nor could I eat properly due to lack of sensation and because I couldn't move the muscles of my mouth. It was simply unacceptable to me to live like that, so I remembered "instant healing" technique.

I have adapted that "instant healing / it never happened" technique with NLP Time-Line technique and spend few days running the new pattern in my mind re-living my life from before the event until the present moment as if my face was always normal and it never became paralyzed.

It was not INSTANT healing - but it took ONLY FEW DAYS for my face to become COMPLETELY NORMAL and to FUNCTION PERFECTLY. My friend said that that he was utterly amazed as he watched the transformation on my face returning to normal - he said it was just like witnessing a miracle. Yeah, our minds are truly miraculous.

  2. A wonderful guide to simple but profound healing techiques taught with humor and wisdom. Very enjoyable to read and offers great tools for quick, effective healing techniques.

  3. Serge K. King is a really important master spreading Huna wisdom around the world.
Is a really good book, written in a way everyone can understand and use in their lives.

  4. I think my title says it all. I thank the Gods for Serge Kahili King. I have been a Healer for 30 years and have also read a lot of books. His is the finest I;ve ever read on the subject...why? Because his techniques really work. I shall be recommending this book to all who come to me for Healing in the future so that they can learn to help themselves.

  5. Akashic Who's Who: Of Psychics, Mediums, Healers and More!

Here is a book that surprized me totally, what this is is a dictionary of a variety of styles and methods of healing that can used any time any where on anyone. I am keeping this one on my desk for easy reference. It cleary explains how to incorporate healing into our every day lives, sort of a personality match for different energies. It stresses that anyone can heal any ailment, disease, addiction and pain. Not only do these different healing techniques work, but they are quite easy to follow with the information given. The research on these techniques gave enough credulance that I came away wanting to immediately try some out at least once to see the outcome, i was amazed! If something works out likek this then lets all incorporate our attitude to be ready to heal at a moments notice under any sudden circumstance, could be a first aid tool of sorts.

This book is indeed timely, the manner of our changing times that we live in is bombared toxically in all elements, affecting our bodies, minds and soul, this is the hand book to use. It opened me up to many more techniques that effectively heal clients, other people and pets.

Nice work by author Serge Kahili King, Ph.D., btw he has published other books that are excellant sources of information.

4 comments about Shaking Medicine: The Healing Power of Ecstatic Movement.
  1. I've always loved watching documentaries that show traditional African or North American Native dancing. The participants seem so deeply focused into the action that their bodies are doing the movements without conscious thought. That many of these individuals have deep spiritual experiences during these sessions doesn't surprise me at all. The dance is simply another form of mediation, much more active but still so all focused that nothingness is achieved so that the spirit self is given its freedom.

Shaking Medicine is a wonderful introduction to ecstatic movement. The author himself is an experienced shaker. He is also a life-long learner who is extremely interested in finding out why people choose to shake, how they shake, and what they experience during and after the experience. Much of this book resembles a memoir of his experiences and his explorations of shaking in various cultures around the world, past and present.

I found this book fascinating. I came to realize that there is no real right or wrong way to shake. Being with others who have traveled that path will certainly be a good resources but ultimately every person needs to find that something inside themselves. Reading Shaking Medicine and using the included CD of ecstatic drumming is certainly a good place to start.

  2. If you are drawn to movement as a therapy, this book is a must. I have been interested in energy medicine and practicing as a homeopath since 1996. For years I have studied shamanism and have walked the path of a shaman. More recently I became fascinated with the idea of movement. I felt it from the inside out. This book was able to give me historical and practical information about "shaking medicine" that i have always known on a gut level. I also liked that the book explained the relationship between "sitting still" meditation and "movement" meditation. In my practice there are many clients who struggle with beign able to sit still yet they have a desire to meditate. In Shaking Medicine, I have found a tool to help them. This book has been of great help to me. The CD is also excellent quality.

  3. I am conflicted about this book.

There is no doubt in my mind that shaking is good for us. At its minimum, rhythmic movement of the body connects body systems into an organic whole. Shaking restores the flexibility of the connective tissue and eases communication between ligaments, bones, fascia, blood and lymph vessels and the endings of afferent/efferent nerves. Furthermore, when done with a proper attitude and surrender, dancing propels the dancer into the transpersonal.

Here is where it gets a little shakey for me. What Keeney promotes as "shaking medicine" may not have that much to do with the !Kung (Bushmen). Here is an interiew with a !Kung recorded by the anthropologist Richard Lee: "Trance medicine really hurts. As you begin to trance the power (n/om) slowly heats inside and pulls at your insides. Your mind and your senses leave and youdon't think clearly. You can't listen to people and understand what they say. In !kia (trance) your heart stops, you're dead, your thoughts are nothing, you breathe with difficulty. You see ghosts killing people, you smell burning, rotten flesh. Then you heal and you pull sickness out." During the trance, the shaman (according to the anthropologist) "trembles violently, sweats profusely, staggers, lower his head, bleeds from the nose, froths at the mouth and finally crashes to the ground."

How many people at Keeney's workshops bleed from their nose (a result of dehydration), dance the whole night into exhaustion, exorcise ghosts or fall unconscious to the ground? How many will "journey" into the sky where they learn from the ancestors in a village in the sky, animal totems (giraffe and eland especially) and the "Big God"? My guess is: zero, and that includes Keeney himself. In other words, Keeney's "shaking medicine" is, in my mind, an invitation to innocuous social feel-good dancing. No problem with that, i enjoy shaking booties as much as any other guy... but this has little to do with the !Kung.

Keeney is never detracted from name-dropping... he has studied with this Zulu, that Bushman, this cybernetic specialist, that African-American church all of whom have had (according to K.) the wisdom to recognize the importance of this holy man. Unfortunately, in this day and age name-dropping is at the very core of the definition of a spiritual charlatan. What has the man actually learned? Real spiritual message should stand on its own - yet when dissociated from these 'credentials", there seems to be little to Keeney's insights. I kept asking myself, what is this man's ACTUAL contribution to spirituality? The fact that we need to shake our bodies?

I would be more impressed if Keeney actually learned from the Bushmen how to "ascend the ropes to the Sky God". This does not seem to be the case, at least it is not mentioned in the text. I am inclined to think that, if anything, this book reveal a man who is the quintessential opportunist and trickster. As for the CD, "arrhythmic cacophony" is what comes to mind.

  4. For anyone who enjoyed reading the author's first book on shaking titled Bushman Shaman, Shaking Medicine gives the reader a more in-depth look on the shake itself. Amongst other things Keeney talks in length on what the shake means to different societies and how it has evolved or became suppressed over time. How the shake relates to our society and/or religion. And he also discusses how anyone can learn to shake.

Quite a fascinating book that I would highly recommend. I would also highly recommend Keeney's other book, Bushman Shaman.

5 comments about Secrets of the Talking Jaguar.
  1. I give this book as a gift to everyone I know who has read Marlo Morgan's appalling book of lies about the Australian aborigines. Here is a story that actually HAPPENED, has none of the racial arrogance of many "new age" books where some rich whitey goes off and lives "with" the natives and grants them recognition. (Morgan's 'Mutant Message Downunder" has made +100 million, even though the woman made the whole thing up, stole a whole lot of religious symbols out of some anthropology journal that shouldn't have published them in the first place, stole the end sequence from a film called "Quigley Downunder", wrote absolutely absurd and stupid things about the Australian landscape and when the real aborigines demanded that she stop spreading lies and saying they want to die out and are no longer real aborigines, and to stop pretending she is the true guardian of their culture, she admitted the fraud, but her publishers sheltered her and told her to keep going.)

Prechtel's mother was a native american, and he suffered being brought up on a reservation. This book is a solid dose of reality, not sugarcoated with esoteric fantasy, but full of reality. Grief and beauty are in western culture (he says) seen as a side show attraction, but actually they are the right and left hand of the goddess of life.

It is really one of the most beautiful books I have ever read.

  2. This book is such a pleasure to read and reread.... lots of food for thought about modern culture and alternative ways of living, about aging, about wisdom, about Mayan culture, and about seeing the challenges of life in humorous ways!

  3. Martin is a great storyteller and transmitter of wisdom. I could not put this book down.

  4. Martin Prechtel paints a magic world that we all at some points of the book wish we could live in. But I feel that the book is far from in the truth as any sci-fi book I have read in the past. The book outlays personal Spirits and ways in which we can find our indigenous soul. I worry that in Martin Prechtels search he lost sight of what he was looking for.
If you are looking for a book that will through you into a vivid world of imagination and full of exciting metaphors and mental illustrations this is the book for you.
However if the book details the beliefs of the Tzutujil people correctly I seriously doubt the fact of him publicizing about them. I find the book is in the wrong genre and if you want to know about the Tzutujil/Mayan people then read something else.

  5. If you liked Don Jaun, this is for you. A total fabrication. Even the references to geographic locations are wrong. A literary mess on top of that. Enough New Age drivel to go around. It will appeal to the same touristas that crowd Solala. No resposible anthropologist would touch this.

5 comments about Dance of the Four Winds: Secrets of the Inca Medicine Wheel.
  1. In this book Villoldo, perhaps one of the most well known teachers of Inca shamanism in the West, describes his initial encounters with the shamanic world. The book is devoted to Villoldo's experiences with two Peruvian healers - don Ramon Silva (an ayahuascero from the Peruvian Amazon) and don Antonio Morales, (a Qero style healer and philosophy professor!). Villoldo's recounting of Peruvian healing practices is gripping and the final chapter, in which he describes the death of his teacher's teacher in a little cottage on the Peruvian altiplano, is simply breath-taking. I also quite liked the description of the "operation" which allowed V. to see energy patterns and his animal allies.

If V. only recounted his experiences with the old shamans, the book would have been superb. Unfortunately, he decided to insert into the book his own personal issues and musings on the nature of reality (which tend to go on and on) and which to me seem to be rather cliche-y. this guy is a doer, not a thinker and all the theory just detracted me from the magic of his experiences. V. also seems to be unduly impressed by his newly acquired Ph.D. in psychology (from a little known local college) as if a degree means anything these days.

Still, I find Villoldo's accounts to be trustworthy and in my opinion this book is a useful read for people interested in Peruvian healing practices and in energy work in general.

  2. For those seeking more info about Dr. Villoldo's lack of detail and other concerns regarding truthfulness in contemporary shamanism, please see "The Selling of the Shaman and the Problem of Informant Legitimacy" which appears in the Summer 1990 issue of 'Anthropological Research', Volume 46, Number 2. Dr. Villoldo is prominently featured.

  3. a great and by-now classic book on the theme of shamanism by an anthopologist and psychologist. I LIKE THIS BOOK BECAUSE HE TRIES IN IT TO DECRIBE HIS PERSONAL EXPERIENCES IN COMMON WORDS

  4. I absolutely loved reading this story, and haven't read any story as stimulating since The Celestine Prophesy.... the difference, of course being - that this book recounts true life experiences. This was an engaging, enjoyable read with many eye opening insights into other ways and worlds. I have vivid memories of the images and experiences described in this book. Fascinating!

  5. One of the best books I've ever read. One can always return to and learn from. I highly recommend this and Villoldo's other books.

  1. Few people today have a message which cuts so profoundly to the heart of what is needed in society and our lives as the message of the Grandmothers. Ruthelessly honest about her experiences, Sharon McErlane's journey of meeting this Council of divine Beings is a journey she offers us all, and in the bearing of her soul to us, she allows us the opportunity to take that journey with her. A must read for anyone who has felt lost and like there must be something else in life!

  2. Rarely have I encountered a book which gives such hope for the world and individuals personally. Sharon is honest in her recounting of this most amazing event in her life, the meeting of this Great Council of the Grandmothers, and we as readers take the journey with her each step of the way. The story is riveting, and the message compelling, one which will lift your spirits and warm your heart.

  3. The book makes perfect sense to anyone who is struggling with issues in their own lives and those around them. Not only does it give us hope, but invites us to become part of the solution. While the Grandmothers suggest that women must lead the way to restoring balance in the world, the book is meaningful to men as well. Empowerment really is the key and the message leads us in the right direction. A must-read for every thoughtful person who is ready to embark on the journey of a lifetime.

  4. I find myself coming back to this wonderful book whenever the world's pressures seem too heavy. Defining what my role is, and how to just be with it, in a way that is joyful, relevant and without adding more stress is beautiful. I feel all women, of all ages, and their men would find this book of great benefit.

  5. This book is quite interesting. Lets hope more women learn to put out their Yin energy in reading this book. And Sharon's love for animals is wonderful. Pearl S.
