5 comments about Jesus of History, Christ of Faith.
  1. This book is a fine expression of faith- for liberal Protestants. For Catholics, "JOHCOF" represents the indoctrination of new generations with the same confusion everyone has felt in the recent frenzy in the Church. Used as a teaching tool, this is especially deadly to the Faith. Every thing a Catholic would have learned just half a century ago is openly rebuked in this mess. To the writers, Jesus is just a man who lived in Galilee. Every thing supernatural- from the miracles to the appearance of the star and the magi at Christ's birth are all analyzed from a "scientific" viewpoint to try and explain away the Divinity of Christ and the historicity of the Gospels. The Church teaching on the authors of the Pentateuch and much of the New Testament are thrown aside; this book prefers to make use of secular "scholars" in cracking the origins of the Bible. The whole book is about "Jesus the Jew," and makes it appear as though He never renounced the immense errors of Judaism. It adds a vocabulary word- "anti-Semitism" for anyone who espouses the traditional teaching on Christ's criticism of the Pharisees and the Jews' eventual murdering of Christ out of envy- both sound Catholic doctrines. The book lacks any element of the rich sacred Catholic Tradition as well. There are hundreds of images of Jews worshipping in their synagogues and Mohammedans in their mosques but you will find not a single image of the Roman Mass, the only Sacrifice that actually goes to the True God, as used by the Holy Church for 2,000 years. The book teaches the very anti-Christian heresy of syncretism, and denies that the Church is the only way to salvation in Heaven. No teachings about Catholic doctrines such as Purgatory, and nothing about the Popes and the teachings of the Holy Office against heresy. No teachings about the usage of Latin as the universal language of the Church, the language used in the Mass, which is the offering of the Sacrifice at Cavalry, not a meal like the Protestants have. The Catholic Church is just an accident left over by the life of a Jewish man 2,000 years ago, if this book is to be taken at face value. The only time the Catholic Church is mentioned at all is in the last few pages- to mention the wonderful "fruits" of the "Second Vatican Council," the source of all this confusion. When will these people stop kidding themselves and cut this charade out? It is a shame that something coming out of "St. Mary's Press" is such a sorry peace of work, but there is no doubt this book would hit the Index Librorum Prohibitorum if Pope St. Pius X saw this abominable Modernist piece being circulated. Stick to the doctrinal security of the Roman Catechism, and avoid this large editorial on what liberal laypeople want the Church to teach. Pray for an end of this grand mockery... the Catholic Church is the Church of the Christ of Faith, Jesus of History established Her in A.D. 33 and She is the Defender of the Sacred Deposit of the Faith, not these Modernists.

  2. My son needed this book for class and I was very pleased that I could promptly purchase a new one via Amazon. I had access to it elsewhere but it was only available in poorly used condition.

  3. This book is based on a very flawed Christology that denies the divinity of Jesus. It brings doubt, not faith. It has been found by the American bishops to not be in conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church. I am appalled that there are Catholic high schools who are still using this text.

  4. My son needed this book for school. The service was great and it arrived in time for new quarter.

  5. This beautiful piece of work s filled with pretty pictures and wonderfull lessons on history. The books uses carefully chosen historical facts to back up it's commentary. While explaining the life of the ancient Jews during Jesus' time, the book uses this carfully chosen historical fact, "The Jews were great walkers." The book is filled with these beautifully stated facts. Another example: "A day for the Jew begins at sunset." The book goes on to contrast the difference between Jesus and the Jews. Examples of this are the comparison between the Jew's narrow-minded love for only eachother, and Jesus' love for everyone. The Jew's view on the inferiority of women, the ill, the homeless, and the crippled, and Jesus' acceptance of them. The Jew's journey in the desert and failing to stay true to God, and Jesus' success in staying faithful. The brilliant comparisons lead to the book's conclusion that the key to faith is recognizing flawed Judaism and accepting Jesus as the new and improved version.
    It is fact.

5 comments about The Return of the Prodigal Son: A Story of Homecoming.
  1. This is an excellent life changing book. Presents the core truth of the Christian Gospel in a way that touches everyday attitudes and struggles. A book so personal and touching you may find that Nouwen is addressing your own unique circumstances. I certainly did. You may find yourself thinking about a new way to live. This book changed my life.

  2. This book opened up so many different ideas on the well known story of the Prodigal Son. I loved reading this book. It was my first Nouwen read, and it definitely will get me reading more of his books. If you are not familiar with Nouwen, this is a good first read.

  3. "Return of the Prodigal Son" is a wonderful opportunity to hear the gentleness and genius that was Henri Nouwen. The book was originally a talk given at retreat when Nouwen was 57, about 8 years before his death, in the time following his famous service at Toronto's L'Arche Daybreak facility for severely handicapped adults. Nouwen's humility is on display, as are his deep spiritual and psychological insights.

The impetus for Nouwen's reflections was Rembrandt's "Return of the Prodigal Son," painted when the artist was elderly, and following multiple tragedies in his own life. Nouwen's inspiration is less the painting, though, than the parable. His lecture is split into three parts, focusing on the younger son, the older son and the father. Nouwen's take on the parable is Jesus's radical break with interpretations of God that held sway in his own day as they still do in ours. The God that Jesus defines is not angry, vindictive or retaliatory, but completely open in love and forgiveness. While many will agree with this description of the Father, fewer will agree with Nouwen that this image of the Father exists the rest of Holy Scripture (both OT and NT) as well. While many of us are willing to accept Scripture's seemingly schizoid vision of God, Nouwen does not. He is completely committed to the loving father portrayed in this parable. For those committed to the God of condemnation, hell and judgment, Nouwen will be a disappointment (or a challenge). Human beings separate themselves from a God who is always anxious to take them back, teaches Nouwen.

In Nouwen's take on the story, the younger son teaches the journey from dissolution to containment. Dissolution includes dissipation of the kind associated with the younger son in the parable -- insults to parents, arrogance, squandering of resources, immorality. But dissolution extends to other activities and attitudes that spread our energies beyond our capacities. We spread ourselves too thin, spiritually, usually out of a desire to impress those in our lives whom we want to impress or influence. But by recognizing our sonship with God, we realize that we do need to impress of fathers (whether heavenly or worldly) into loving us, allowing us to bring our spiritual energies into containment and focus. The elder son often lives in our hearts alongside the younger son. The elder son's error is in resentment and separation. He cannot rejoice that "this son of yours" has returned from death, whining about his own ceaseless and unrewarded labors. But his error also speaks to a misunderstanding of the Father's love. He feels he will be loved *because* of his obedience (evidently given grudgingly) and has missed that his gift is to have been in the presence of the Father all along.

Nouwen's deep insight into the parable, whose subtlety and profundity become apparent the more listen, is astounding. The parable has the power to heal as well. For any who have felt conflict or hurt in family situations, as has Nouwen himself, the parable points the way toward a recognition of our true place in the world, and in God's eyes. This is not a dewy "I'm OK, You're OK" insight, but can lead to a profound shifting of our existential relationship with ourselves, our parents and our God. What false fronts and defenses we might shed if we truly believed in a God who loved us as beloved children -- no matter how far astray we had gone?

Nouwen's style and delivery belie the intensity of his own struggle and the wisdom of his teaching. Yet the insights continue rolling in, like waves following the passage of a ship, long after the book is over. A fascinating and potentially life-changing book.

  4. Henri Nouwen had a truly God-given gift - the gift of explaining timeless spiritual truths in very clear, ordinary language in a conversational and deeply captivating way. His words and his explanations imprint themselves into the memory and stay in the heart, and truly help to change lives. Much of his wisdom surely comes from his own struggles, which he admits to in the book - he personally struggled with depression, pride, desire for success and fame, envy, etc. - common human ailments. He also struggled with feeling unworthy of God, and with feeling distant from God. Yet, he learned to overcome his struggles (though he admits that he is still on a journey), and he describes how.

This is the third book I have read by Neuwen. After reading Life of the Beloved I really didn't think that anything could compare, but this book, if not better, is at least just as good. It is an instantly timeless spiritual classic. The whole book is a reflection on Rembrandt's painting, The Return of the Prodigal Son. First Nouwen reflects on the younger son who came back from a foreign land. Then he reflects on the older son who witnesses his younger brother's return. Finally, Nouwen reflects on the father figure. His insights are deep and beautiful. He leads the reader to a natural and yet incredible insight: that after identifying ourselves with both the younger and older brother, we must realize that rather than being either of these two brothers, we are called to become the father!

  5. This book is soul-wrenching. A Must for everyone, regardless of religious affiliation. Brings together both priest and artist: Rembrandt's insights and those of Henri Nouwen. . .

5 comments about His Favorite Wife: Trapped in Polygamy.
  1. I am totally fascinated by the FLDS society and being a librarian have found lots to read on the subject. This was a favorite. Living in Utah makes the subject all the more interesting because it is going on here. I would recommend this book to anyone. It is traveling on to my daughtger next and then will find its way to Indiana to a good friend. Had lots of startling information......both funny and sad. My heart goes out to all the people, young and old in this society.

  2. This book is very compelling (hard to put down) and insightful. Its story is similar to many others about the cult of Fundamentalist Mormanism. It is sad to think that many women and children are stil trapped in polygamist situations. There are many implications pointing to the cult of Mormonism itself and why and how it has grown so large. Think broader than just this one situation when you read this true story!

  3. This is a fabulous book. She was a strong women and managed to get out of this life, but so many do not get out. These women and children are truly trapped by a warped way of thinking about God. I became interested in this subject from a religious perspective. And wow, I really began to feel for these people.

  4. this was a real story, moving and touching and definitely gave insight into why these woman accept this way of life in the first place. it sure makes you wonder where the stories come from where you see the sister wives trying to make us beleive its an easy way of life...

  5. Excellent book giving good insight into what really goes on in an zealous absolutist religious sect. It was a non-stop reader, for sure. The print was very small, however, making this difficult to read.

5 comments about Simply Christian: Why Christianity Makes Sense.
  1. Simply Christian: Why Christianity Makes Sense
    N. T. Wright is a gifted writer who has written a wonderful book on the basic tenets of Christian faith for both the person who is searching and the seasoned Christian. He starts with the innate yearnings of the heart which are answered in the Christian faith. As the title suggest, this book truly does reveal why Christianity makes sense.

  2. If you are on a faith journey, you want to begin here. Wright's book builds the argument for Christianity step by step, idea by idea. In the meantime, his writing is beautiful, poetic. Wright uses verbal pictures to illustrate his points. Remarkable book.

  3. As a university instructor in Bible, I found Dr. Wright's book to be a good start for someone not fully understanding Christianity, the development of the redemption story, who Jesus is, the formation of the Bible, and other doctrines of importance to Christian faith. NT Wright is one of the world's leading scholars on the Bible. As an instructor, I found his book to be unapologetic for the basics of Christianity. The book begins in a bit of a confusing manner related to the things to be made right in the world, but they are fully brought together by the end of this work. Some may see this book as too conservative and simplistic, but the reality is Wright is a foremost scholar on the intricacies of the Bible, beyond what most people will ever approach. His insights are valuable as he simply puts forward scholarly concepts that have taken a lifetime of study to unearth. I highly recommend this book for those seeking an elementary overview of Christianity. For more in-depth scholarship, see his other critically acclaimed works.

  4. N.T. Wright has the ability to write with such simplicity, and yet never loose the depths of intelligent explanation. He can write at a popular, easily understandable level, and then turn around and write a tome of in-depth theological analysis. This book is a welcome read both for those exploring the Christian faith, and those looking to review their own faith. It is simple enough for those searching and exploring and deep enough to challenge those who have been part of the faith for a long period of time.

Wright begins by exploring the echoes that resonate within the human soul; reminding us that there is something more to this life. These echoes are not the answer, nor do they lead all the way to the answer. They simply call us to the search. Then he spends the rest of the book explaining the Christian faith's key tenets and how those tenets answer the echoes; how the Christian faith ultimately fulfills them.

You will not be sorry for having read this book, or any other by N.T. Wright for that matter. Clear, concise, articulate, and humble.

  5. Bishop N. T. Wright's "Simply Christian" is an elegant and readable explanation of the basic tenets of the Christian faith. In the spirit of C.S. Lewis's "Mere Christianity," this book attempts to and succeeds in describing the role of God and Jesus Christ in our lives.

Wright starts off by examining mankind's yearning for justice, spirituality, and beauty, and then proceeds to explain how the existence of God explains these yearnings. Wright describes how God interacts with our world, refuting those who claim that God is distant and hands-off or that the meaning of life is in self-exploration and self-fulfillment. He then builds on this to portray an over-arching picture of Christianity.

This is an excellent short discussion of the Christian faith. Anyone wanting to understand their own faith better or interested in exploring a personal relationship with God should read this book.

5 comments about Boundaries in Marriage.
  1. The authors make a great point: Boundaries protect love. When we respect each other as individual entities, it's actually easier for each of us to grow into wholeness. We don't lean on our partner unwittingly or place blame or responsibility where it doesn't belong. Boundaries help make clear: whose problem is it, anyway? All too often we may cluelessly point to our partner as the source of our problems, but the problem is really our own upset, and that's something we have to claim, own, and do something about. The book is excellent in giving clear step-by-step examples of how to work through formerly perplexing issues through loving assertiveness. Highly recommended.

Lee Liebner, author/singer of As You Go, an inspirational gift book/song-on-CD/scrapbook-journal for young people about to enter the world.

  2. I have WAITED in SILENCE for 50 years of ABUSE from an in-law - BOUNDARIES helped me BREAK-OUT in ONE DAY..a letter and a call saying, "NO MORE VISITS, woman!" I GOT IMMEDIATE RESPECT!! AMEN.

  3. It arrived in record time, about a week ground mail. It was BRAND NEW. And the price couldn't be beat.

  4. Book had many positive topics. If applied correctly, I believe that the topics discussed in this publication could work. Unfortunately for my marriage, it did not. I would still reccomment this work to a couple that would work to save thier marriage.

  5. I found the book most helpful in understanding the dynamics in a relationship and why a spouse can be hurt by things that would not bother me. It is so important to be truthful about feelings.

5 comments about What's So Amazing About Grace?.
  1. I got this book as a Christmas present last year but didn't pick it up until this past fall (sadly). I fully believe every person needs to read it, Christian or not! We live in a beautiful and messed up world and I think Mr. Yancey shows us that in this book that we need to be handling it and each other with grace. I know this isn't a huge theological excavation of every mention of grace in the Bible but Yancey gives us examples, really great, humbling examples. Which is kinda what CHRIST gave us as the living example, basically what we (the Body, myself included) really need to be doing, uhhhhhmmmmm, showing a lot more grace! (ding! ding! ding!)
Giving this grace (aka unearned favor) not only to those who don't know CHRIST but also to those who do, i think some one once said that they will know we are HIS followers by our love, hmmmm not our condemnation/theology/gifts/money/talents or anything else. I absolutely love this book along with every other one of his I've read to date. Please do us all a favor and read this book, carefully, thoughtfully, contemplatively. (And often!)
    It will change you!!!

  2. Necessary read for someone wanting to get to the next level of spirituality coupled with empathy and compassion.

  3. God if we could just live the grace filled lives of this book. This is without a doubt one of the all time greats

  4. Aside from the Bible, this is the best book I have ever read. This is a life-changing book about a life-changing subject. I find Philip Yancey to be a tremendous communicator. Since reading this book, I have bought and given away as gifts at least 7 copies of this book.

  5. I just read the first chapters but this book has really touched me inside. The gospel is not a story about how to go to heaven or how to avoid hell. The gospel is the most beautiful love story ever told, about how God, being God, denied himself everything for our sake. And now, being totally acepted in Him, we are not left with the rest of our time on Earth to only daydream about heaven, but to enjoy the privilege and happyness of sharing God's love and grace with one another in this world. God does not want us to pay Him something back, He has everything He needs, He want us living close to Him, enjoying His company, His love, His grace, happy to be with Him and being a channel of His love and grace to the people around us.

3 comments about Wide Awake: The Future Is Waiting Within You.
  1. The author is a pastor in Los Angeles. The book reads like a sermon to young people complete with bible stories on each page. According to the dust cover, I will learn how to unleash untapped potential and live the impossible. Instead I found simplistic religious answers that God will take care of everything for me if I do what the bible says.

I was hoping for a book based on cognitive behavior therapy to help me eliminate self-limiting behaviors or at least a Tony Robbins style exciting book to propel me to new reaches.

  2. This book is for the depressed. This book is for those who feel they are trapped in the mundane. This book is for those who feel they are just slogging through life, not really experiencing, not really living. McManus inspires, pushes, compels, and challenges you to dream, explore, create, adapt, and live your life.

In Wide Awake, McManus connects living life to the fullest to the teachings of Christ. So often we think that our Christian lives should muted, reverent, holy, and that we should just step back and let God control our lives. McManus reminds us that Christ came to bring life, and life more abundant, and that we could be living our life to the fullest.

The author does challenge some commonly held ideas in mainstream Christianity. Even if you don't agree with everything McManus says, Wide Awake will challenge you to rethink your philosophy of life and your purpose for living.

    A must-read for every Christian!

  3. Erwin McManus was a special guest professor in the very first course I took at Bethel University - Seminary in St Paul, MN. He set a very high standard for all who followed. I have quoted from and recommended his book "Seizing Your Divine Moment" for many years.

In "Wide Awake" McManus calls Biblical Christians (not mere religious church attenders but genuine followers of Jesus of the Bible) to seize the challenge of a life of purpose in partnership with the God of creation and the One who loves and values them like no other.

He is no mere motivational speaker, no puffed-up politician spewing platitudes and promises they have no ability (let alone intent) to keep, and no legalist or televangelist who has lost sight of the true message of the Bible. McManus is the real deal; humble, humorous, and transparently human.

Our church is filled with broken people; divorced, recovering from addictions, survivors of abuse and neglect, unemployed and underemployed, orphans and castaways, struggling with their relationships with others and with God. This book speaks the hope of God into their lives as no government program or rah-rah political rally or secular motivational pep talk could ever do - it is the pure truth of God!

God sees every man, woman, and child as filled with opportunities to make a positive difference out of the abundance of love He wants to pour into (and through) them - no matter their temporary circumstances.

The change that matters will never come from a politicians campaign rhetoric or some musicians magical-thinking song or a manipulative commercial - the change that matters comes one heart at a time as we turn away from "chasing the wind" and live the intentionally inspiring "Wide Awake" dream that God longs to place in each of our hearts.

Thank you Irwin for another great book - it is a word from God through your writing.

5 comments about Created to Be His Help Meet: Discover How God Can Make Your Marriage Glorious.
  1. Is this book written well---in a way that grabs the readers attention and holds it? Yes. Does this book have gems of wisdom in it's pages? Absolutely. Is this book founded on a solid base of Scripture?

    NO.

This book does apply a fringe-group's *interpretation* of Scripture, but that's different from being solidly based on Scripture.

Does applying the principles in this book make marriages happier? You bet it does, for many marriages! But not for the right reasons. Marriages are made happier because, for example, the wife no longer questions anything her husband does----OF COURSE it takes out a lot of conflict, no suprises there. But that's a much different thing than saying the marriage is *healthier.*

A healthy marriage is made up of two full adults who learn to work and walk together as they follow Christ. It's like a team of oxen pulling under the yoke of Christ, together, just like the picture given to us at the end of Genesis chapter 1. The Pearls, however, set up a one-line system---the man goes the direction he sees fit, the woman follows the man. Eve stands behind Adam in their version of Genesis 1...

There are so many problems with this book that it's hard to even start, but the most troubling ones to me are the many authoritative teachings about the way God designed men and women...because most of those authoritative teachings are NOT in Scripture at all.

I would recommend that readers proceed with caution. Just because a book sounds good, and just because it "works" (ie, less conflict, happier husband), doesn't make it God's way.

For example, my toddler would be a lot happier if I gave him whatever he wanted whenever he wanted it...but that wouldn't make the relationship a healthy one. The same goes with a relationship between two adults.

YES, honor the man you married. Love him. Have fun and smile. Enjoy your sex life. Those are all *good* things and those are all things that Debi teaches.

It's the rest of the stuff in this book... some of it is honestly dangerous, VERY dangerous, for women in abusive situations. So much pressure is put on the woman...if the relationship is good, it's because she's doing things right, and if the relationship is bad, it's all her fault. All the pressure for having a happy marriage is squarely laid right on her back.

For the woman in an abusive home, this is about the *worst* thing she can hear (that's what her abuser tells her all the time, and now Debi's words are telling her that God sees it the same way)...along with the admonition that the woman who *trusts God* will make the mature wise decision to STAY in an abusive situation.

There are so many things in this book that are just so sad. The negative aspects outweigh the good and make me grieve for all the women under the weight of these false teachings.

  2. Amazing book! She offers in your face approach to what God says about our roles as wives. ALthough sometimes hard to hear, it cannot be argued b/c it comes straight from the Bible! It changed our marriage and made us so much stronger. Just learning the type of husband I have, made me see how blessed I am and how I need to show him love and appreciation. My Mr. Steady and I will be forever grateful!!!

  3. I was reading a five star review of this book that claimed that not one person who left a one star review had tried following Debi Pearl's advice. I am one who DID follow Debi's advice and I'm only giving the book one star because I can't give it zero or negative numbers.

I was apprehensive about trying her advice, but was very open to it. My husband said this book has been the most damaging thing to our marriage so far. I tried following the advice for a couple of months and all it did was make me and my husband miserable. My husband actually turned "mean" because he was frustrated with me and had no idea what had come over me. When he asked me about it I cried and said I'd tried so hard to please him and showed him the book. He read some of the things in the book and it made him so angry he wanted to burn it. He told me it was a damaging book and that I was not to read it anymore. I had borrowed the book, so we did return it, but if it had been mine we would have burned it.

The book is complete and utter trash and should be used for kindling to start a fire. Before anyone says that I must not have followed the advice properly, I followed it to the letter and even asked people I knew who followed the Pearl's teachings about some things.

By the way, I thought that everyone might want to know why there has been a sudden increase in the five star reviews of this book. The Pearl's have publicly solicited five star reviews in the latest "No Greater Joy" magazine, stating that those of us who are giving this book bad reviews on Amazon are taking away the rights of people to have a good marriage. Obviously not many of their followers cared enough to give their book rave reviews before now.

Please do not read this marriage and spirit damaging book.

  4. Don't listen to the bitter women who couldn't handle what God's Word says. This book has great reminders about how God created men and women different. It is all Biblically sound information. I know of many marriages, personally, that have been saved by women reading this book! Give it a try!

  5. Wow...I am really suprised at the negative ratings of this book. I am a christian and found it a very helpful in taking a good look at my attitude and my attitude toward my husband. I thought it was a wonderful book and very inspiring. I even bought the cd's and play them in my car. I have not been "recruited", nor do I know the Pearl's personally on any level. I bought the book to become a better wife and better follower of Christ. I would highly recommend it. Especially to those wives like myself that have trust issues and are constantly berating thier husbands for silly mindless things. For those of you that didnt enjoy the book, for whatever reason, I would suggest Joyce Meyer marriage books. She is more 'women liberated' and may be more up your alley. I enjoy both and incorporate thier thoughts into a well-rounded christian lifestyle. I think many women are so dominant in todays times that Pearl's book can feel offensive. A true follower of the Word, would be open to this book as well as many other christian teaching books. God Bless you all and happy reading!

  1. T.D. Jakes is a great orator and no one can simplify and explain how to Reposition better than the master himself! The opening of the book was powerful! I immediately began thinking who I would invite to my "own" intervention. I could not think of one aspect of my life that was not touched. T.D. Jakes asked the question "If we thought he was qualified" to write the book? I say "YES" his life, his insight makes no one else more qualified. I definitely must preserve my family history and pass on the "valuable traits" I have gained from my ancestors and community to future generation. I realize that this book is a "handbook" that must be re-visited again and again! I finished the book knowing that this was not the end. I must challenge myself to continue growing. Thanks T.D. Jakes for the insightful words.and for reminding me that inspiration is what "ignites" the path for "Repositioning"! I encourge anyone and everyone to read this book it crosses all gender, race and religious lines; its a book for everyone!

  2. I have read several books by Bishop Jakes, but this one by far in my opinion is one of the best one yet. I haven't finished reading it yet, because once I read a particular section I have found myself to go back and reread it. Bishop Jakes is definately annoited by GOD. I just hope and pray that GOD keeps on using him as he sees fit to minister to the world. This book is a real blessing and eye opener.

  3. I love Bishop TD jakes but I could not get past Disc 1 track 5 or so of this audiobook. I listen to him on my podcast but it seemed like the book lacked something. It seemed like the Bishop just focused on a particular individual. I could not relate...I hope to listen to all of it one day...I pray so...

  4. This is a must read. It covers how to be a person that is true to themselves. This book inspired me to write a poem called falling in love with me and I can't put into words how inspiring this book was. T.D. Jakes covers all the elements on how to grow. I would recommend this book to anyone because it has something in it for everyone.

  5. THIS BOOK WRITTEN BY BISHOP JAKES IS A DIVINE BLESSINGS FROM GOD FOR EVERY CHRISTAIN.I PRAY FOR GOD DIVINE WISDOM AND ANNOINTING OF HOLY SPIRIT TO BE UPON MY BELOVED BISHOP JAKES.THANK GOD FOR USING YOU,YOUR FAMILY AND MINISTRY TO REACH TO LOST SOULS ALL OVER THE GLOBE.
