1 comments about Hey, this is fun!.
- Martha Jacobson Bauer was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, October 1913. There, at age seventeen, Joanne Modder led her to the Lord in Peniel Tabernacle where Faith Home ministries deeply influenced her life
After graduating from North Central Bible College in 1936 she spent seven years helping Pastors R. Sharnick, R. Spencer and E. Olson pioneer the Racine Assembly of God. Also during this time she was with her sister, now Marian Savich, conducted D.V.B.S.s throughout Wisconsin. They ministered together with Mathilda Birkland for one year on the Ojibwa Indian Reservation at Couderay until Mathilda and Martha left for Nigeria in 1945.
Six years before retirement in 1986, Miss Jacobson married Missionary Arthur Bauer. Hey, This is Fun! describes the fun of serving the Lord.

1 comments about The gifts of the spirit.
- This is a wonderful book on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Harold Horton writes from the depths of his experiences with Howard Carter, who came out of the Pentecostal Revivals of early 1900s. Horton gives an accurate and detailed analysis of 1 Corinthians 12, 13 and 14. There are chapters on each of the gifts of chapter 12. Horton makes no apologies for returning to the true supernatural impact of the Holy Spirit. This is the power of the Spirit at work in the believer today - he gives no weight to man's attempts to make the things of the Spirit into mere human derivatives.
Written in 1934 and republished continuously for 60 years, this is a modern classic. It is refreshing to go back a few generations to be reinspired by some core teaching on one of the essentials foundations of a life of faith.
