1. While the product DID arrive in a timely fashion and was packed well I had an issue of *computer compatibility!* My problem was with the Customer Service or *lack of* that I received. My problem was later resolved by Amazon.com themselves and NOT the seller. I would not buy from this seller again. To me... Customer Service IS more important than anything else in a purchase.

1. Chatchecker Lite is FREE online, but it doesn't save the conversations for longer than 1 day. I thought ordering a "paid" subscription would get me use of all the features, but after installing I found out that I would still have to pay more $ to have all the features of Chatchecker Plus. Now to get the features I thought I was getting by buying this Family version, I still have to pay more $.
   
   All I get for my money is the ability to see the conversations online for more than one day. As far as I can tell, that is the only difference between the free version and this one I paid $29 for.



2. I started using the free version of Chatchecker on the recommendation of a friend. I was really glad I did because I learned a lot about what my kids and their friends were doing online. We eventually advanced to the Family Plus edition which is $50/year because we found we actually needed to monitor more than the free version allowed and because we have more than one computer. I had a bit of trouble getting the program to work properly on my computer due to my particular firewall, but the support staff was very patient and was able to work "hands on" with my computer to get it up and running in a short time. Amazing service!
   I'd recommend going with the free Lite version until you see how much monitoring is needed in your family. Then I'd upgrade as needed.

1. Filemaker Mobile was simply in the right place at the right time. While on the pc side, you can sync your palmos device with outlook, unless you buy Office 2001, you cannot do that on a mac with the provided software. Which didn't really matter, all our client records were in our filemaker database anyway. Filemaker mobile provided us with a way to take our contact infomation with us, versus manually imputing 900 records. Installation was simple, all it requires is that you specify what fields you want echoed on the mobile device. The next HotSync takes a bit longer, but worked well. 900 records of general contact infomation plus the app itself took up under 300k of memory.

   On the negative side, apparently, updates only work one way. So if the main database has a change, and the palm has a change, you have to duplicate a record and then manually re-edit. One-way updates work fine, either way you pick, although you do have to specify which database is the correct one. Also, because of the size of the screen, records in list form are centered, in that the title of the field is cut off on the left side. Minor problem, but can make reading similarly titled fields difficult.

   Altogether a nice application, with just minor issues.




2. Filemaker Pro is a great product. It's power lies in its relational capabilities and its scripting and calculation capabilities. I have been able to generate solutions to data storage and data relationships that even take me by surprise. The capability and flexibility of the product to layout information is better than any other software I've used.

   These are just some of the reasons that Filemaker Mobile is a dissapointment.

   A new user of Filemaker Pro may start by building flat databases that are little more than lists of items. Pretty quickly, however, the power of the product becomes apparent, and the user will be using relationships, calculations and scripts. Filemaker Mobile gives you none of these capabilities, and if you buy it, you'll be stuck where you began: building flat databases that are little more than shopping lists. So if your happy to fork out for this product only to find that the only thing worth synchronising is the database that contains your CD collection (the first one you ever designed), then go for it. Serious users should forget all the great applications that you thought this product would be able to provide when you heard the product was to become available.

   Filemaker PLEASE release a Palm product worthy of your moniker.




3. I hoped that this mobile version of Filemaker would be up to the standards of Filemaker 5, but it fell far short. FM mobile allows you to transfer only 20 fields of your database. Furthermore, you can't transfer calculation fields and you can't use pop-up menus.There's probably more that can't be done, but I returned it before I could find out. FM Sync/JFile is a sync/database application that allows more fields and doesn't have the other limits of Filemaker mobile.



4. There must be something than this better out there. Though it says it's compatible with Windows 95+, the download version doesn't install properly on Windows 98 and the technical support team is a joke. Once you get it installed, the Palm-side databases are limited in function.

1. I found it relatively simple to install and begin using. Definitely reveals the keystrokes, screen shots etc. at whatever settings you wish. And it is stealth without the password. However, not until I began using it, did I discover it is NOT compatable with AOL users or email. This means if you want the results to be emailed to you and you're an AOL member it won't forward the info. There was no indication of this on Amazon.com or the packaging. Not until I contacted the manufacturer. So, even though it works, it is useless for me.



2. This software works exactly as advertized, and has proved to be a vital part of being sensitive to the needs of my teen son. The installation was flawless, completely undetectable, has settings that let you regulate the amount of information you want to gather on the activities on your computer, and doesn't have any detectable impact on the performance of the computer. I would highly recommend use of this product.



3. My wife is happy beause this program lets us limit our childrens computer time to a certain amount per child per day or per week. It can also be used to limit the parents computer time to certain times.
   
   Things that I don't like about it are that it seems to reset what the power button does from hibernating to powering off. This tends to lock up my computer running windows XP, as it does a logoff before shutting down. The other night, I was installing a microsoft service pack that takes 40 minutes to install on my PC using 100% CPU. The program was set-up to give 5 minutes warning before time was up, and a 1 minute warning before it boots you off. Well, I tried to hibernate to save my work, but it booted me off anyway (perhaps because of the high CPU utilization?), 30 minutes wasted. It seemed to reset my user passwords one time, but I just went into the child safe account and reset them to what I wanted. Another problem is to change user account settings, the user can't be logged in at the time (I use multi-account login on XP Home all the time).
   
   The filtering isn't perfect. I suspect no filtering product is. I have no way to compare to other products.
   
   It does let you restrict your browsing to a certain set of websites, and you can add a website to a list to allow you to view it even if it sets off one of the filtering criteria. You can customize the filtering categories per user, as well as the types chat / instant messaging each account can use, as well as which exact programs each user can run, as well as whether a regular user can install new programs. The options are very flexible and powerful.
   
   Now if they would just fix the little problems that drive me crazy sometimes!



4. When installed, this program will not allow programs like Real Arcade to run, because they do something to the windows registry each time they run. That makes Child Safe useless to us, as our kids use Real Arcade a lot, and it is pretty safe (at least, we choose to trust it).
   
   I asked tech support if there was a work-around, and they didn't reply, except for an automatic acknowledgment of receipt.
   
   Two weeks later, I asked if they could reply please, and they didn't reply at all.
   
   So, the program really is useless. I uninstalled the whole thing and would have forgotten about it, but then I saw this listing on Amazon and had to comment.

1. The other reviewer is right. Do not buy this. I happen to have version 1.65 and it may be even worse. I'm also in the IT business and I've not seen many products worse than this.

   My administrator password keeps resetting itself and you have to call them to get a temporary password. Of course, they almost never answer their phones.

   I had to uninstall it using regedit which I'm comfortable with but most home users would not want to go through that ordeal.

   I'd give it zero stars if I could.




2. Although it was extremely fast and easy to install, it was all downhill after that. All letters and numbers entered for my password and registration number at installation were turned into jibberish upon rebooting my PC to start the program. I couldn't access ANYTHING on the program, any of the help features on Enova's website, or any other web sites. As for the Telephone Support phone number, no one answered the phone and no one returned phone calls left on their voice mail, and no response was received from my e-mail. After digging around in my PC for about two hours, I found a back way to uninstall. What a nightmare!!!



3. SOS KidProof 1.5 appears to be a very good product, according to the description of its capabilities and attributes on the package. And it does appear to do what it claims it will do. But, BUYER BEWARE! After installing it, I ran into significant problems. I am unable to access the control center, customize settings for different users, or any of the other things that made the product attractive to me. However, the most significant problem, and the one all prospective purchasers should be very leary of, is there appears to be no customer or technical support. In fact, I have to wonder if the company is still in business! I have attempted to contact them by phone, using the number printed on the package and on several pieces inside the package. That number is disconnected. I've tried to find a working number via Directory Assistance, but the number they have is also not in service. Finally, I've tried e-mailing their technical support center for help. My message could not be delivered. I received the following explanatory message from my e-mail service "Unable to deliver message to the following recipients ..due to being unable to connect successfully to the destination mail server."

   Based on my experience, I'd suggest that purchasers be very, very careful installing the product because if something goes awry, you're on your own.




4. This program locked up 2 of my computers. It would not recognize my pass word. I have spend 3 days trying to get in touch with the company that produced it and have been unable to do so yet. It seems as though they are out of busness. I have tried e-mail,web sites,phone. I am now trying to get it off my computer.



5. ive had this program for a while now. at first i thought it was just wonderful, it blocked all needed sites and such but then i realized it was blocking sites that i new were acceptable in my mind for example a friends site had a picture of me (a really bad one when i just woke up) and it sarcasticially said "oh sexy ;)" and SOS kidproof would not let me on to this site becuase of that reason. i understood that and figured i would just delete it untill it didnt recognize my password and i knew that was the right password! i tried many other ways to delete it and it wouldnt work! i even got my brother in,to try , whos an expert in computers and he couldnt do it either! i tried many ways and times to contact their company but was unsuccessful. i now have to live with my computer not letting me onto half the sites i wish to go on and boy is it frustrating.
