1. I've used GoLive since version 4, and this is without a doubt, a step backwards. On my G4 533DP, this product is terribly slow when working with sites with more than a few hundred files. Random crashes are frequent, requiring me to do a "save" after almost every operation. It appears that Adobe rushed to get this one out the door. I'm hoping a point-fix is released soon addressing the performance and bugs.



2. On my G4 (I do have ample memory- 1.5 gb RAM) Go Live 6 is great. Substantially faster than previous versions. I have had no crashes, freezes, or other annoyances. After about 9 months, I don't want to work with any application that is not OS X native anymore. This one works for me as advertised. I would give five stars but for a few clunky idiosyncracies that have always been present in GoLive. (I find that this is a two-monitor application: site window and tool windows on the left monitor; open page on the right. I've used it with one monitor and it's really crowded.)

1. this product is terrible. the studio graphical tools are very poor and smp support is not so good.



2. The data mining is really cool for data warehousing. No one else has this stuff right now.



3. Don't take my word for it, I'm biased. Check out the independent performance and price/performance figures at the Transaction Processing Council's site, www.tpc.org. SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition simply blows the competition out of the water. For both performance and price, no other solution makes business or technical sense on the Windows platform. I've used this product in production and development since the beta 1 release (that's how stable it is, even then) back in mid-December 1999, and I can only say that it is reliable, very, very fast, highly scalable and easy to administer. Plus, independent productivity assessments have shown it is 3-4 times faster to get something done in SQL Server than it's nearest rival. That's a lot of consultancy bills saved! I've been a Senior DBA/Software Project Manager for seven years now, and I'd not even consider another relational database system now, because nothing gets even close. A mature product which gets better with every release.

1. I'll grant you, the learning curve on Flash is steep. Once you get past that, Flash is a mandatory program in today's web environment. Now, with easier to learn functions and drag-and-drop ease, Flash MX can take it to the next level. You can incorporate QuickTime videos. You'll see improved workflow with more informative, easier to use menus. You can incorporate dynamic elements like never before. My personal favorites are the little touches that Macromedia made to just make the everyday tasks easier to do. Plus, the layer folders option is a stroke of genius (even if Adobe got there first). All-in-all, the first upgrade in years is well worth the wait. Also, it runs under both OS9.1 and OS10.1.



2. Well, it's not exactly the most SIMPLE program to use, I don't care who you are, it just isn't. Even so it's better than version 5, and no other program that makes SWF's comes close to the features of Flash MX.



3. I was hoping to purchase the commercial version of this program because the 2004 version isn't compatible with my Computer. I'm very familiar with this program's features though. I recommend over the 2004 edition any day.
