1. I had Norton Securities and was hijacked by one of those super computer hackers, Instead of "Lan" my computer was looking for "Wan", I already knew Norton was not so great but I was offered a good deal so I tried the new Norton. But yet again, Norton could not fix it. I then tried AT&T Securities, No Luck, Then I downloaded the "Free" version of Spyware Doctor. It removed the problem along with a lot of others that Norton or AT&T didn't find. I highly recommend Spyware Doctor!

1. I have been through the lot! THIS IS THE BEST COMPREHENSIVE SECURITY SUITE I EVER HAD! And I had them all...(well, almost)
   
   For years I sweared by NORTON - until two years ago it got so heavy and demanding it slowed my computer to a crawl. Then I gave McAFEE Internet Security a try which, although lighter, pestered me with pop-up messages. When that license expired I gave KASPERSKY Internet Security a try: real secure feeling and detailed settings control; however, a number of internet applications, although given full internet access, were slowed to a trickle.
   
   About a month ago I downloaded the AVG INTERNET SECURITY as a 30-day trial. Not two weeks had passed and I decided that THIS IS THE ONE!
   
   Light, heuristically effective (it even found a malware that KASPESKY failed to locate - and KASPERSKY has the best reputation on cleaning out everything!), no conflicts, email integration (although not with ThunderBird yet, a minor glitch), excellent AI and quiet.
   This Suite contains the legendary AntiVirus that blew the whistle on BIOSHOCK's RootKit.
   
   It may seem a bit pricey, yet keep in mind that it comes with a 2 YEAR license, not the usual 12 months that most other Security applications come with.
   
   HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
   
   UPDATE [April 26, 2008]: AVG offered the FREE option to upgrade to v8.0 for the remainder of the license to every customer that had bought v7.5. Now, THIS is a company that knows how to built customer loyalty!

3. I have bought and installed AVG Internet Security on both family computers and my wife and I have both been attacked by Trojans and other viruses that have been fended off by AVG with no harm to our computers at all.
   
   AVG has served us well and I highly recommend it to anyone who takes internet and computer security seriously.

1. For the second time in two months, a trojan that is known to the majority of all other AV vendors, but not known to Symantec, has invaded my network. This time it was a variant of Rbot/SDbot. I had to download AVG AntiVirus to remove this item. Symantec was set to auto-protect and nightly scans, yet this trojan was merrily uploading away until I noticed it in my traffic monitor.
   
   According to SAV, I've never been infected by anything. Batting 0 for 2 now, that's not a good track record for me. It's going in the trash bin. I'm just glad I'm not the one who paid for it - my university provides it with a corporate license (this is the closest version I could find to review).



2. This is for a business, so unless you are buying for that, I'd avoid this software. Our son bought 5 licenses for our home computers/laptops. All seemed ok until the licenses had to be renewed 6 weeks ago in March (2008). Their website said this program was replaced with EndPoint 11.0 so we bought that with 5 licenses. Not knowing this was a totally new program, I ended up having to get tech help to guide me thru the install, but the tech never had me reboot to check it before we hung up. And the next time I booted up, and every time since, I got a warning message saying if I continue the install, I may do irreparable harm to my OS as the software has not passed testing by Microsoft. So, for 6 weeks I needed to click on "stop installation" each time I turned on my laptop, all the while speaking with different tech people for help with this and a few other problems. One day, I accidentally clicked on "continue to install" instead of "stop installation" and the next thing I knew, my OS began to act up. The warning also said to contact the software mfr and ask for a Microsoft approved version. Symantec has yet to tell me why this is. I ended up having to save all impt files and do a reinstall of my OS, but I now get an alert every time I turn on AOL. Otherwise, it seems to be ok. We bought a one-year subscription but I'll look around when it expires before I renew next time.

1. I purchased this product thinking it would allow me to take my dvds on my ipod to see them. when you put a dvd in to be transfered, it will tell you all dvds are copy-protected and it can't copy! These people are misguiding thieves, they should specify that it is only homemade dvds!



2. ....talk about being misled! No where on the packaging of this product does it say "Copies home videos only".
   What a waste of my money...this software is useless and I won't bother returning it so some other poor sucker gets roped in on this dopey deal.

1. Just wanted to give a heads up, According to adobe I'm not the first or last person to do this, This will not upgrade the bundle version of fireworks in studio 8, With all the confusion with the merger of the adobe and macromedia products if you upgrade to cs3 design premium and you want fireworks you have to buy a new stand alone copy.



2. I have been using Macromedia products for years and always purchased the Dreamweaver/Fireworks/Flash suites. I ALSO have been purchasing Adobe Photoshop Design CS Suite, then CS 2 suite, now CS3 Suite. Well now that Adobe has purchased Macromedia you have to make a choice. I already had to have the Design suite to get those programs so I purchased the Premium Design CS3 suite which also gave me Dreamweaver and Flash. I figured with as many serial numbers I had for everything, all I needed was the Fireworks Upgrade. WRONG -- Adobe will NOT let you upgrade this version of Fireworks with anything except a STANDALONE (not Suite where they make more money???) version.
   
   It is a pitiful situation when two otherwise excellent companies get together and create something that is actually WORSE than the two separate entities.
   
   I am not looking forward to now trying to switch this product out, but sometimes the simplest things are complicated by corporate greed and oversight.



3. He's right. You can not upgrade Fireworks using your bundled package serial number. I can not explain how mad I am right now. Who has the stand alone version of fireworks MX, or MX 2004?? Not me, I have the bundled version, which I'm sure 99% of the people of there do to.



4. This a rating is based on trying to get this product. The ordering and paperwork were correct 3 times, Fireworks CS for Mac OS X UPGRADE, however there is probably a barcode goof in the warehouse, as I was shipped the WINDOWS version 3 TIMES. Upon the third shipment the Amazon customer service guy I spoke to said that he wouldn't try to re-order it again for me as I would probably just get another copy of the Windows version and not the Mac OS X one that I was expecting. I will have to go to the Apple Store to buy my Upgrade. I loved Macromedia products and fully intend to purchase this latest version of Fireworks.

1. This product works as claimed, and the interface is well designed and easy to use, with lots of customizing options. An update some time after I purchased went smoothly and easily, and online support forum is friendly,lively, and informative.



2. Window washer is a neat program that frees up alot of space by erasing un-needed stuff on your computer. It is a little to much money for all it does.



3. This product is too expensive for the little it does. It is a lame duck compared to Webroot Spy Sweeper. Ultra wincleaner one click is a far better product.



4. Easy to use,does what it claims,many options for technical intrest or at the same time can be used very simply.
