- I don't even have it on my machine at the moment. Get that, you pay for something and don't use it. The irritating fact that it holds up your computer for a length of time at start up and you can't do anything. Its just like the computer is locked up and then finally Spy Sweeper releases it and you can go to work. Very Very irritating!
- I bought Spysweeper to try to get rid of an infection. Their phone support was excellent. However, the software slows the start-up considerably and freezes the system when it's run. It did not succeed in removing infection either.

1 comments about Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Master Collection [Mac] [OLD VERSION].
- It is a must have software if you are working with graphics and sound. Be prepare to invest extra in RAM for a better peformance. CS3 is a universal base program and my Mac (Intel_Base) was having problems with my CS2. Now all my Adobe native programs and my Macromedia native programs are working fine. Photoshop has some improvements as well as Flash. The Master Collection has all you need. It was a good investment.

2 comments about Norton 360 2.0.
- I purchased Norton 360 Version 2.0 and tried installing it.
Installation would never complete, went round and round with re-starts and now My computer has crashed and I can not re-boot my system.
Extremely frustrating.
Tech support is e-mail only and is based in India = no help.
Phone support is $9.95 per call. (After I spent $80 on software that destroyed my computer they want another $10, no way)
I used Norton in 2005, 2006 and 2007, but no more. (So much for helping a loyal customer)
I now have to take my computer to a tech.
Suggest you look for another product.
- I tried to install this program on my computer. AFter 3 hours with Norton tech support, it finally was partially installed. Unfortunately, it screwed up several other programs including my printing. My favorite foulup, is that I can not access my bookkeeping program if I backup the info before exiting. I have to turn off the machine to get back to the program. Turning off the program causes other problems. There are 2 error messages that come up everytime I try to shut the computer off. All of this is new since the install.
Will I buy this again--NO! I've had it and will start shopping for a new brand after 18 years of Norton. I'm through.

5 comments about CA Internet Security Suite 2007 - 3 User.
- I agree with the bad reviews here, and wish minus ratings were allowed. I've never before had a virus so destructive and hard to get rid of. My PC was stable for years when I upgraded to CA Security Suite (CASS) for free from San Diego Road Runner. As soon as installation was complete:
THE GOOD
The interface looks nice. It caught a lot of spyware that the previous iteration of CA Security had missed.
THE BAD
- I lost internet connectivity. That took about a full day to come up with a workaround (cold boot the cable modem).
- When I got partial internet connectivity, the computer hung frequently, or I lost connectivity periodically.
- Full and stable connectivity wasn't restored until I uninstalled CASS.
- The computer hung even in standalone work, like opening two Word documents. CASS is a resource hog, on a par or worse than Rhapsody.
- Cookies were destroyed almost as fast as created. That means I had to log in with passwords for most of the internet sites. Who remembers dozens of passwords and user names?
- My Outlook Express stopped working. RR support told me how to reset the password, which worked for incoming mail, but not the pop-server. Repeated calls to RR support didn't cure this.
- My PC became slooooow.
- With CASS on it, Windows XP often didn't come up. I'd have to boot up in protected mode, shut down, and restart...sometimes two or three times.
- CA has no email or chat room support from their site. I gave up on phone support after hours of retrying and waiting.
THE UGLY
- There is no UNINSTALL function with CASS. Attempting to uninstall using the Windows Control Panel generated an E9011 error and a suggestion that I log in as administrator. On a standalone PC? It took another day to figure out how to log in as administrator.
- When logged in as administrator, Control Panel Uninstall only removed a few components of CASS. Those components and others deleted manually (I decided to worry about a messed up register later) were promptly reinstalled automatically by CA.
- In Protected Mode as administrator, I removed all that I could find in the windows/programs/CA tree and elsewhere.
- Upon reboot, CA reinstalled CA Personal Firewall. I've already installed ZoneAlarm Security Suite which included a firewall.
- Its been almost a week, most of it in front of my PC, trying to kill that last CA Personal Firewall-install-demon lurking in my once beloved computer.
- My PC now has a very different look and feel, and I'm about $80 poorer from buying all that Zone Alarm offered.
I'm outraged that CA could take over my personal PC like that, do so much damage, and not allow itself to be uninstalled.
If you install this on your PC, you may not have the many problems I've had, but why take the chance? I've got a hunch that the people who like CASS have the latest and fastest PC so they don't notice the slowdown, and they may have gotten lucky and set the CASS switches differently than I did, but the instructions and implications when installing aren't that clear. Once it's installed, you're stuck with it. I doubt that many would persevere getting rid of it like I have. The only alternative is to wipe your PC and start again, or have a costly Microsoft Certified technician try to clean up the mess.
Beware, you have been warned.
- This is the worst software I have ever used! First, I got about 15 virus' while using the program that totally disabled my computer. After I had to go to outside help, I was finally up and running again only to discover that I could not connect to the internet throught MSN. I contacted my provider and figured out the the firewall was preventing access. We disbled the firewall (since I couldn't tell it that MSN was ok no matter which level of security I chose) and it worked just fine. I went back to McAfee through my provider and have had no problems since. I deleted the antivirus and antispyware from the CA suite, however the firewall software will not remove and I cannot remove the actual CA software from my system. It says I don't have suffient right to do this. Now each time I turn my computer on I have to manually disable the firewall from CA. This is a pain and I hope my license expires really soon!! This is terrible software that I DO NOT recommend to anyone!
- I read reviews on this product.I purchased it with any way and thought I would see if that many problems where there.I have had no problem with this and it installed perfect.I had CA anti-virus with my DSL for about 2 years with no problems.
- Very good protection and does not bog down the computer as much as some virus software does and does not have that invasive annoying popup window that some virus software has
- I have used previous versions of CA firewall and they were good. This version is a nightmare of user interface. Its sluggishly slow and on top of it I just can't make it work other than to lock out everything. I am a geek and still can't make it do flexible stuff, can't imagine for an average user!! Stay out

I have been using Act since 1990 and without this I would have lost clients that today help me to own my own business. As I said, without this program I would be lost!R Jones

1 comments about Adobe Creative Suite CS3 Production Premium Upsell.
- I had wanted After Effects for years, but when I found I was eligible for the upgrade path because I owned Photoshop I got the Production Premium suite. For me it was like getting eight programs for free. And these are awesome. I am an amateur animator so this is this most versatile package for animating as a one-person studio. I combine it with Toon Boom Studio to achieve much better results than I could previously achieve.

2 comments about Ghostsurf 2007.
- I'm running XP SP3. I'm also running BOINC (a distributed computing app) and LCDC (which drives a front panel information display). GhostSurf broke both somehow - it may have been caused by GhostSurf's installation of .NET 1.1. Whatever it was, XP's System Restore failed to repair the situation, and my machine is running very slowly. I have no choice now but to reimage my whole hard drive from a (fortunately) recent backup.
If you're running any unusual or complex apps on your machine, or depend upon the .NET framework for any apps, I DON'T RECOMMEND THAT YOU INSTALL THIS PRODUCT.
- I feel this product is awesome for the price.
Unfortunately I had to uninstall the software after two days because I have Norton also installed and think the programs were uncompatible. I kept having to run in safe mode half the times to get into my Vista user even after I changed default options.
But I enjoyed all the features when I could get in and am waiting for their support to get back with me on my questions about compatibility.
I really regret having to remove this software from my computer. Any one of the features that come with the product are worth the purchase price, IMO.

2 comments about Adobe GoLive 6.0 Upgrade.
- I've been a dyed-in-the-wool FrontPage fan for the past few years. I bought GoLive 5.0 thinking I'd make the switch to a product that's a bit more os, platform, agnostic. While that was the case with GoLive 5.0, I found it to be too cluttered and difficult to "pick up", so I stuck with FrontPage. The upgrade to 6.0 is truely a wonderful thing for those of us using FrontPage who are looking to migrate to another tool for web dev. GoLive 6.0 is now much more organized and easier to understand for those used to working in a FrontPage environment. I'd definately recommend giving it a try.
- I stepped over GoLive a few years back, don't remember which version, but didn't get into it then.
I decided to get into it now during version 5 however, with the free upgrade to version 6, since I couldn't be bothered waiting for it to reach the market! However the user-friendlyness has been improved a lot with GL6 and it is now not only a lot stronger and yes, slower, but also a bit easier to get around.
Oh, dear I forgot to mention the diagrams when I submitted this review the first time!! They have appered to me as the best thing yet with GL - just because I find them very useful. When you first start a site up (you can do it later too of course), you have the ability to create a site diagram, OK that might not be that revolutionary.. What is so great about them is that you can create them with different symbols from the objects palette; database, PDF, page etc and once you've set them up GL actually creates a site with all the pages you've specified in the diagram. Further more you can show the diagram as a PDF or SVG file to your client online! Of course you can use the diagram as a reference throughout the design process.I was recommended GL years ago by fellow webdesigners in London who told me that it would be good for me since I don't know html and that way I would learn it. My London co-workers couldn't have been more right - I have learnt a lot since I've gotten GL and I am still learning. Now with version 6 I also find that I am learning ASP, JSP etc as well and I mean I learn it practically, there is only so much you can read yourself to!! Web Workgroup Server 1.0 that comes with this version is also something that I've started to enjoy, especially with consideration to that it now makes it a whole lot easier for me and my collegues worldwide to check pages etc in and out of a website, without me having to do, way too much supervising either - it saves time for me and that is valuable!! It's got a weblog with it, but I still haven't been able to figure out whether or not that shows who has been trying to log into the server and who had problems, or who got in straight away. The other bad thing is that I was reading the instructions for how to set it up and while I was doing that, I missed the few seconds I had to change the "system" and "password" -> I found myself locked out of the server and the only way I saw, was that I had to re-install the whole thing and fill in the password before time-out. That was annoying, but of course it is very likely that I missed something, since I had to do that, considering the server is a whole new program and part of GL.. After I got in, it was however fairly straight forward to configure the website, publishing server and users. I find that Adobe is best for me since there are so many resources over at Adobe Studio for one, you can find free actions and new templates and just get so many great ideas from other users on how to do things quickly. It's great because there is so many ppl around who you can ask for help if you need it.
