1. Freeway 3.5 is super great! I'm an artist who was tired of pestering my web designer to update my site...and got tired of paying for it too...I have a decent design sense, so I did some research and found Freeway. I now do the website for the architectural firm I work at too. It really is super intuitive! There were a few bumps along the way...but overall I'm thrilled. Email the company that writes the program softpress.com to see if they have any online user group coupons to get the program cheaper! : )



2. I searched high and low on the internet to find Mac OSX software to develop my website, and am I glad I found Freeway! I had first tried using Adobe GoLive. What a headache! I slogged through their incomprehensible manual and I couldn't even figure out how to set up a new file. And I even had a 16-year-old computer whiz helping me! Dumped that program off my computer fast!
   With Freeway, I did the two or three tutorials that came on the CD or that I downloaded from their website, and I was well on my way to developing my own site. The program even comes with a full-feature printed manual besides the "getting started" manual that has the tutorials in it. Call me old-fashioned, but I just can't get used to pdf manuals on CD. I find it so hard find anything in them, let alone find it again!
   My background is in graphic design for the print industry, and using Freeway is a lot like using a print-based design program like CorelDraw or QuarkXpress. I didn't have to worry about html encoding or any of that. Freeway does that for you. If I had a question and couldn't find the answer in the manuals, I was able to go to the website support documents to find the answer. There is also an email discussion list to which you can subscribe.
   I don't have alot of bells and whistles on my website,(...)but I'm able to update and maintain it very easily myself. If I had more time, I'd like to learn more, but being a sole proprietor of a fiber arts store, time is scarce. I must say I've gotten many compliments on the website. And it was all possible because Freeway made it fast and easy to do.
   If you're looking for a Mac-based program for web design, look no further. This one will do you just fine!

1. Framemaker is still the option to choose if you want to make books. This is because it has the most comprehensive .pdf conversion options, and includes the ability to integrate mathematical formulae for the creation of complex academic documents.
   
   Apart from Framemaker 7.1’s ability to work with many native Adobe file formats directly, the most important concept of Framemaker, with respect to very long and complex documents, is its ability to work with a number of small files that go to make up the book or document, and let the user update page numbering and indexing as the constituents are created. Ordinarily, with an application such as Microsoft Word, the user has to keep everything together as one unwieldy and delicate file, with the fear of it all crashing.
   
   Framemaker can also be used for writing screenplays after making a simple template to align the text with paragraph styles. Your screenplay can be written as individual files and then combined as a book. When the screenplay is saved as a .pdf you can choose to include the sluglines as bookmarks. The final text looks cleaner and is much more pleasingly spaced than any screenplay formatting application can achieve. The printouts are impressively immaculate.
   
   Framemaker 7.1 contains many collaborative features, and is able to work with SGML and other structured document types. In comparison to 6.0 it is pretty demanding of system resources, so be aware of this, if upgrading or buying as new.
   
   Users of Framemaker 7.1 should also purchase Acrobat Professional so that they can manipulate any .pdf output, since Framemaker can only create a .pdf and cannot do any editng of a .pdf.



2. This is a great product, but you can buy a brand new full Windows version (7.2) from Adobe for $799. Why would you pay $1200?
