1. Not very good. They "forgot" to add the folders needed for the lessons, and you have to take the time to go to the website and download them. I am STILL trying to find the data base they said could be accessed from the download site. Some of the lessons assumed you knew absolutely nothing(which is ok, that is what the lessons are for), but, in others, assumed you knew far more than you did, and had to hunt around trying to find what the heck he was talking about! Very frustrating in that sense, all lessons should be on the same level.



2. am new to web developing and had to get up to speed quickly with the FrontPage 2003 application for a work project. BDG FrontPage 2003 is a good well rounded and comprehensive intro. And it even covers how to work with databases. The only fault I found was, the CD was missing some image and html files needed for the exercises. The sample database for the exercise was also not on the CD. The solution was to call the company, they directed me to http://download.shop4all.com/samples/ were I was able to download the missing image and html files for the exercises (look under FrontPage2003).
   
   The Sample Database was not under that directory there but it is a simple database and table easy enough for me to make with Access 2003. So even when there are a couple of minor issues, I am giving it a well deserved 5 for covering the subjects that I was interested on and at a very reasonable price.
   
   I also did the Professor Teaches FrontPage 2003 course before the BDG and found it good but a little light and it did not cover the how to work with databases. I would recomend Professor Teaches FrontPage 2003, as an intro to the Mastering FrontPage 2003 course.



3. I've been battling lesson #2 for 3 days. I found the infamous missing files that you need to complete lesson #2 from one of the other amazon reviews of this product(thanks for pointing me in the right direction, fellow reviewer!) I would follow the directions to a "T", but would continually come up short somewhere along the line. There are too many things left out in the lessons. Like you need to have something highlighted before you do a particular step. Anyway, I've finished lesson 2 three or four times, but my finished product still isn't quite right. I DO like the format of learning right on the computer screen, but when you hit a snag, there's no glossary to turn to. Or help section to click on. I think I need a beginners book on the subject, and will study the reviews on the various frontpage 2003 books offered in Amazon to come up with a good one for rookies.

1. Tons of spelling and gramatical errors in the D50 video. Not a very useful video. Take a course instead - save your $$.

1. I bought this to teach Word to my homeschool highschooler who is now writing research papers. We own the Macintosh version of Word and the product is geared towards Word on Windows, but it really was no problem since the screens are remarkably the same. I have been a Word user for over 10 years and learned a few new tricks with this product.
   
   The program is mostly a person talking while you watch animations of a word screen. As the voice describes the actions, you see typing in the Word document and the menus and widgets being manipulated. I usually opened my Word and worked along with the lesson. Lessons are organized into Units. Each unit has from 1 -13 lesson. You can choose which Units you wish to watch, in any order you choose. You can also choose any lesson you want within the Unit. This is nice because it meant we could avoid having to watch lessons on boring material (like how to print) and material we just don't need to know (like how to create a mail merge).
   
   The product includes manuals on PDFs. The manuals are organized the same as the program, each manual section matching a program Unit. Each section had three parts: 1. Recap of the video lesson with screen shots and text. 2. Summary of the actions learned in the Unit. 3. Exercises. We found the Exercises useful in reinforcing the lesson.
   
   My only complaint about the program is that it lacked a Unit on Styles, which I consider very basic to learning Word. I was forced to make my own lesson for that concept.



2. A really great product. So much easier than just reading from a book. I'm very impressed with the quality of the training material. Well thought-out lesson plan that makes learning simple. Love it.
