3 comments about Learn 2 Complete Training for Vista and Office 2007.
  1. this is excellent and teaches you step by step in a video that shows us the programs. It also has chapter review quizzes. It is very easy to use and very easy to understand. It has old office program versions and the new versions too. I'm happy I purchased this and I would recommended this to friends who want to learn computer programs for their career.

  2. I'm very familiar with other Microsoft products but wanted to learn all the ins and outs of Vista. Well, Learn2 Training Complete teaches you how to open a program, save a program, how to print preview and other VERY basic things that if you knew how to use in past Microsoft Offices, you would know how to use in Vista. It says no where on the box that this is the very basic information one needs to know to operate Office 2007. In fact, it says right in the title "Training Complete" which to me sounds like I would learn more that just how to open a program. I can say I picked up a few pointers, but I was overall VERY disappointed with the "training."

  3. I bought this because I needed to have some quick insight to Vista & Office 2007. This is good if you are already familiar with previous versions of MS Office (2003 or 2000).

On each CD, they give you previous versions of the software.
The CDs are listed this way when you get them:

    1 Access 2000/2002/2003/2007 &
    Outlook 2002 scheduling & emailing/Intro 2003/Intro 2007
    (extra on CD OneNote 2003)

    2 Excel 2000/2002/2003/2007 & Project 98 & 2000
    (extra on CD InfoPath 2003)

    3 Word & PowerPoint 2000/2002/2003/2007
(extra on the same CD is Visio 2003 & Publisher 2000 & 2003)

    4 Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista

5 Learn Web Development - Extras on CD
    FrontPage 2000/2002/2003
    HTML 4 & Dynamic HTML Volume 1
Java Intro & Javascript Volume 1
    Visual Basic 2003 Fundamentals
    Adobe Elements 2.0/Acrobat 6 Fundamentals
    Digital Photography Fundamentals

What I liked is it gives you the basics of the software in each version of the software. I would recommend it to novices, beginners, and those who need to refresh or just get some basics down, especially when it comes to Vista & Office 2007.

Mind you, this only gives you the intro and not the intermediate or advanced versions. For that you might want to look at www.keystonelearning.com or www.learnkey.com for those levels. But to just get you up and running and not to be dependent on one or two people in the office, these CDs aren't bad. Remember, you can play them over & over until you're sick of them . . . they never get sick of you!! LOL!!! And don't forget to get some good headphones in case you're doing this at odd hours of the day or night!!

This will give you a good start & a good idea if you want to go on to the intermediate & advanced levels of MS Office software. This was worth the money because I'll be able to give it to those flies in the ointment and keep them out of my hair in the office!!

4 comments about Professor Teaches Microsoft Windows Vista, Office 2007, Web & Graphics.
  1. I highly recommend both this product and the company. I've used the Professor Teaches series as part of my adult computer familiarization classes for the past two years with great success. If you are just starting out or want to learn a few new things, Professor Teaches is the way to go.

  2. I received this product and immediately liked it once I went over the program. It was simple to learn and understand and my daughter loves the cd's which teach how to do graphics. We now understand these software programs and know how to work with them. I would definitely buy another program from Professor Teaches again.

  3. The idea of such a program is good. The programs fails miserably. If you have never touched a computer you may get some really basic intruction, therefore I have generously awarded two stars. The problem is with the funtioning of the course. At least half of the exercises do not work for either the correct nor incorrect responses. If the progrtams were cleaned up, it might be a worthwhile tool, but as it is now don't waste your money. Get an instruction book.

  4. These would be great for you beginner out there who wants to learn from a professional.

5 comments about American English Pronunciation Patterns Professional 3.0 (Based on Phonics) : Perfect English Pronunciation Software to Help You Improve Pronunciation, Speaking, Vocabulary, Spelling, Listening, and Reading, and Reduce Accent..
  1. First I need to say thanks to Mr. Wang for his creativity idea to
innovate such unique software (American English pronunciation
patterns professional) to improve English pronunciation.

Really it is amazing software, it is more worthy than software
    price.

I liked it because it covers from basic to advanced word
pronunciations. It contains more than 4000 words. The beauty of
this software is, we can see meaning for every word, can convert
text to voice, redirected to songs, short stories. I have greatly
improved. There are around 60 lessons that will drive you from
    basic to advanced topics.
I recommend this software strongly to every one who has problem
    with the English language

  2. I have been using this software for around 9 months now and it has been very helpful. I am very much satisfied.

It has got very cool features like integrated browser which allows you to get information from "Answers.com", "VOA News" etc.

I love the way you can create you own Play List and walk through it whenever you get time.

There are few things like a printed hand-book and inbuilt dictionary that would love to have with this. I hope this will be part of next release.

The cost of the product is little on the higher side, but no doubts its worth buying.

The support you get is Excellent. Every time I sent an email asking for help, I got reply within minutes.

Overall, a very nice software with excellent features!

  3. To me the program has proved to be very helpful, even though I haven't exactly followed the proposed lessons. I have used the software according to my own "plan". Firstly, I identified my main problem areas and kept working on them - over and over again. I started out with what I would call the "parrot mode" (first listen and then repeat) and then, after a while, spoke out the words loudly and then checked my pronunciation. Secondly, I systematically began "revising" all 4000 words, since I noticed that even though I know a lot of words and theoretically know all the English vowels and consonants (and how to pronounce them), I have not always learned the correct pronunciation.
This process has been quite time consuming (and I am still working on it) but I think this was my key to success. You should make it a habit to work on your weak points on a daily basis. If English is not your native language, I guess perseverance and the right tool is key unless you belong to that happy 1% who can "imitate" every dialect or language.
The cost might seem high but looking up every word and the respective pronunciation would be too tedious for me.
To sum it up, the product is a great and very helpful tool but you have to invest some time and motivation.

  4. I ordered the CD but for some reason it didn't work on my PCs. I emailed Mr. Wang of the company and got immediate reply everytime. We finally got the problem fixed and it working great now. My wife is using the software and she is very happy with it.

    We are highly recommending it!!

  5. I would recommend Pronunciation Pattern program to anyone who wants to learn how to pronunce english.I been using lots of different programs in the past and and I quit each one of them becaue they made pronuncing english more harder than it was.Even,if i spent long time to study i gained very little. However Pronunciation Pattern helped me tremondously and i can't mention everything in this short paragraph. It abled me learning to speed of my english pronunciation very quickly. It has been a couple months since i got the program and i can say I learned more than i expected. Also, lessons are presented in a clear logical manner. It is very easy to see and visualize the steps u take so you don't confuse what is what etc. Moreover,It is a complete program where you learn everything there is to know starting how topronunce letter, words until u get the confidence you need to speak english fluently. The last but not the least, the people who work at Pronunciation Pattern are professional and helpful.I called twice and each time my problems were solved happily.:-)

1 comments about Professor Teaches How to Create Web Pages & Graphics 5.
  1. Basically, this is a package containing 3 CDs chock full of tutorials on a number of programs like Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop, as well as HTML fundamentals/advanced HTML. It could potentially save you hundreds and thousands of dollars spent on real-world courses of the same nature. Of course, you have to have plenty of free time in order to really get the most out of Web Pages & Graphics 5, but it is definitely worth it. One quibble that I have with this package is that it could have been just one DVD, instead of 3 CDs, but it doesn't make it less valuable, really.

  1. I'm really not a book person - I prefer seeing a demo, then I can practice. Professor Teaches allows me to listen, learn, and participate in the lesson. It's broken down nicely into the different categories. I have books, but they are out-dated now. It's just very convenient.

  2. This is excellent software to learn excel on XP but is not rated to use on Vista. There is a newer version which is rated for Vista which I got from the same company, Nothing but software so I could put it on my new laptop.
