  1. This is a very lite version of Magix Music Maker. The loops are not compatible with other Magix Music Maker programs. When using the loops with other Magix Music Maker programs the programs seem to freeze or lag(I have a 2.8 P4 Sony Vaio Laptop with a ATI Radeon graphics with 512 memory on a 40 gig Hard Drive). This is a great beginners program it is simple and easy to understand. The loops are perfect for kids. This version of Magix contains alot of computer animated cartoons and simple music loops. The music loops are kinda cheesy ,but this is a kids program. Do not expect anything special for adults.

  2. I could not even complete installation. There security scheme would not allow me to run on XP. After registering at the 'support' site, I had to email them. They emailed a 'fix' that required elaborate data entry and reading codes of the rim of the CD. After all that hassle, just a message that the 'unlock request had been submittewd' and then nothing. I can't believe that I wasted the money and several hours on what is no more than garbage. The one positive factor was that i got a laugh out of their Sgt Shultz attempts at english on the support site.

  1. Where can I begin with this game? For any Sci-fi fan, this game is for you. I picked up a copy of Alpha Centauri from one of my friends. And I instantly got hocked on it. The whole concept of this game is wonderful. Earth life is threatned so the UN sent the game charcters up into whole new solar system (which I read you can see from earth) to start a new life. But when the spaceship lost connection to earth and the captain was killed, panic broke out. You start a new game crash landing on Planet. The first priority is to build a defense for your new base. Throuout the game you have to comunicate with other factions ( people who were on the UN ship and have landed on Planet to), build new bases (expand) and base facilities), build up a military, and go to war. You get to chose from a wide varity of characters to chose from. A few examples are Chairman Yang of the Hive and Brother Lal of the Peacekeepers. Each Character has thier own personality. You my find some hard to work with (if you decide you want to work with them). Also, each charcter has their own opinon on how to govern Planet. And when I found the Alien Crossfire Expansion, I was evn more excited. More factions, techs, and projects. I think I've talked enough but if you have any questions about the game please e-mail me.

  2. Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire is the best strategy game I have played in a long time. A boost even from the simpler Civilization II and other programs in that series, it is fantastic to play and a lot of fun. I reccomend the Pirates to play. Hint: Use global warming to your advantage!

2 comments about Brain Bytes I Can Tell Time Ages 4-7.
  1. This game is a great review of time. It is unlike other Brain Bytes products in that the game does not keep track of the child's level and systematically take them through the program. Instead, it has three parts; telling time to the hour, telling time to the half hour, and telling time in increments of fives. You can click on the skill you would like the child to work on. I think overall the game is great and cute. The two clock characters keep my students attention. What I like most is that it focuses in on only one skill - Telling Time of course!. This allows needed drill and practice of the skill.

  2. I was disappointed with this software. I believe that it could help my son (age 3 1/2) learn to tell time, if it could only keep his attention! Compared to his other software programs, the graphics are simplistic, and there is only one task to do, over and over.
