It is not as hard to learn as everybody says, the interface is great. 3. Caution: MX2004 is out. Personally I prefer flash 5. It was intuitive and you didn't need two monitors to use it effectively, but I guess Macromedia have to make a buck somehow and are following the Microsoft/Norton software release model. (MX2004 PRO, MX 2004). The only thing the MX2004 software release in 2003 confirms is that MX wasn't that mature.



4. If you have used previous versions to Flash MX 2004 and are not an actionscript programmer- DO NOT BUY MX 2004. MX 2004 has done away with the "Normal Mode" in the actionscript editor and has replaced it with another screen hogging panel called behaviors. Instead of having a wizard like interface to aid in fast prototyping of sites and such, you will be forced to learn Actionscript. Unless you understand the code structure and syntax of either Java or Actionscript 2.0, prepare to not accomplish much. If you are a programmer, Flash MX2004 should suit you fine. If on the other hand you are a designer that uses MX or even Flash 5 and do not have the time to learn how to program- STAY PUT! Flash MX 2004 is not the designers tool any longer. Because of Flash's prominence, MX 2004 is now a programing interface for creating advanced appliances more than it is a creative tool.



5. It is an extremly useful product wihich I would immensly reccomend BUT the price is extremly high so it is impossible for normal people to have.

1. don't waste your money on this product. it promises a lot, but is actually just several low end products packaged together (almost like the ones that come with the computer). you get errors with no explanations and ZERO support. best to stick with Nero or another package that has proven its self.



2. I dont know why the other reviewer had problems but i just got my software today and it works absolutely great...it copies movies, and i have already converted avi's to dvds with no issues....it seems to be alot like how roxio used to be back in the day for those who know what i am talking about...but it is definetely great for the money and better than nero in the sense that u can install media now as many times as you'd like instead of nero allowing a few times.......

1. I've tried a few different CD label software apps, and various types of paper. SureThing gave me the best experience, though I must say that when using other papers such as CD Stomper Pro and Neato, it never seems to line up perfectly. But if you buy the SureThing brand CD labels, everything lines up perfectly, no issues.
   
   Part of marketing myself relies on a creating a professional looking CD to hand out to potential clients, and this never fails me.. I wouldn't settle for anything less. I highly recommend it!



2. I'd never used CD disc labels before and now wonder why I waited so long. I'd thought about getting the latest LiteScribe technology but this works just fine! I'd read that the software was difficult to use, but found there was nothing difficult about it. What a difference it makes having a label for all the CD's I produce, no matter the content - no more Sharpie scribbled discs. It was especially nice using a photo from a recent trip as the background for the label we used on our Photoshop slide show. The SureThing labels are great as well and very easy to order online. 'Truly couldn't be happier and I'm not easily pleased.



3. The CD Labeler does a very nice job importing playlists with a nice selection of different labels. It is a fairly easy program to learn, and the more you use it the more you learn about it.



4. I bought this software specifically because it supports Lightscribe labelling of disks. Lightscribe is the Hewlett-Packard process of allowing the DVD/CD writer to burn labels directly onto the disk with a laser. Once you have used Lightscribe, there is no going back to the hassle of paper labels.
   
   Installation. The software installed fine. Unfortunately, when first installed, mine did not support Lightscribe. A quick, albeit somewhat confusing, trip to the company's website corrected this. Several downloads were required for the software to work with Lightscribe. This is inexcusable, as the packaging and help files that shipped with the disk state that the software does support Lightscribe. So why the downloads?
   
   Labels. The software has a disappointingly few backgrounds and designs for Lightscribe. But they suffice for my modest needs.
   
   The software works as advertised after correction via updated downloads. And it works better than anything else I have tried. Recommended.

1. excellant product!! very easy to install and set up. the only down fall is the remote is wired, but you can get use to it. the lighting system just takes a little bit to get use to and once you do it is smooth sailing. very good product and an even better price!!!

1. Despite the program's low price it is not worth the cost in frustration. For some reason this program often renders event files unreadable. The problem is that there is no way to recover the entries and one has to start over. After suffering from this inumerable times I have discarded the program.

1. I recently purchased TV SlideShow Studio and spent many hours creating a presentation that would be shown at my daughter's wedding reception. What I found after the effort was that, despite periodically saving my work -- or so I thought -- NONE of my work was saved.
   
   Abacus Publishing's Tech Support, after waiting more than a week after I asked how to get a file to save properly, finally responded -- by noting that the problem was apparently known, and the problem would not appear in the upcoming Version 2 of the product. That, of course, did me no good whatsoever; I paid for a product that does not function properly.
   
   There are some very nice features in this product and it offers much promise, particularly given its relatively low cost. But if the presentation cannot be saved, what good does any of this do?
   
   Look elsewhere if you're seeking software to put together a presentation of your photographs.



2. I purchased this program to put together a 20 minute project. I also saved the project every 10 minutes only to find out after the program was closed that the file never actually saved. Lost hours of work. Avoid this software.

4. I recently purchased and installed TV Slideshow Studio 2.5 ... it was a BIG mistake!
   Every time I tried to select a transition from the transition screen by double-clicking, the program aborted with a 'memory could not be read' error.
   When I tried to create a VCD slideshow(NOT a VCD disk), the compression progress screen would abort with an 'Invalid Pointer' error.
   This program has many nice features, but it's definitely not ready for prime time! Save your money!
