1. If you design website with Dreamweaver (works with non-Dreamweaver sites, but without Dreamweaver's integrated templates capability that locks portions of the page) that others will need to edit...AND you don't want them to break it, then Contribute is the product for you!
   
   Allows you set user permissions that control what a user can edit, how they can edit a page, how they (and if they) can add images, whether they can publish or their draft needs reviewed, and saves rollback copies so any damage can be undone!
   
   The user interface is easy and user-friendly - the user browses the site they wish to edit (and have permission to do so) and then edits the page. Simple.
   
   This works best for the editor of a site created and maintained by Dreamweaver. And, it will make every Dreamweaver designer happier, healthier, and allow for the opportunity to spend your time making money designing a new site as opposed to the drudgery of continually editing an old site.
   
   This is a great solution for non-profit clients who want to be able to update at will, but have too small a budget to afford a full web application design or can't afford to pay a web designer to continually make changes and updates to the content.



2. Not bad for ease of connecting and editing. the WYSIWYG is not always accurate and sometimes takes several attempts to make it come out right, and you should check your final product on all browsers, IE, Firefox and Safari. Still a little clunky to format, and tricky to work with pictures. In fact the new version seems to have more steps to get a final product, and some features that made sizing and placement easier are gone, or more difficult to do. But this version is more stable, haven't crashed it nearly as often. It's ok, and certainly much more professional than some other web page editing products I've worked with.

5 comments about Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six.

1. this game depicks people being brutaly murderd by swat teams. I think that this is not just only the most violent game i half ever played, but its full of bugs that have crashed my computer a few times. I recomend that parents keep their kids away from them getting use to killing people.



2. This was more boring than fun. It took too much time to plan out the missions. And the actual game play with action did not last very long. I thought this game was pretty boring. If you like to plan out your missions it might be fun. But I prefer going straingt to the action.



3. I picked this up at a yard sale along with the expansion pack (eagle watch) and the hint book. All 3 items are now bundled as a "gold edition". While it is a few years old, I was quickly amazed by how the real the scenarios were set up. The game itself plays like Thief, that is, hiding and sneaking and taking your shots when you can. If you are used to playing Doom/Quake/Unreal style of combat games and want fast and furios non-stop blowup action this game is not for you. You may have to sit and wait a minute or two for a guard to complete his patrol to line up a shot 50 yards away, only to miss him by inches. The overall graphics and sound are good for the date of this game. There isn't any theme music or background music. If you are near the ocean, that's what you hear... the waves. If you are in a dam, you will hear the deafening turbines spinning, and not the guard sneaking up on you from behind. Well thought out and well executed. As I write this, Rainbow Six 3 has been released and I am looking forward to Rogue Spear and other missions. My only serious complaint of this game is that, on occasion, the A.I. will do some strange things with the targets (like run into a corner and stand silently, instead of fleeing or firing back) Also, from time to time should you fail to meet and objective the mission will end suddenly and you may not understand why you failed the mission. The game simply will inform you that you did not complete a given task. (frusturating)



4. When the game Rainbow Six came out, it was praised for being so revolutionary, realistic, and grondbreaking. Unfortunetly, not only were these claims exaggerated, but the game does not look nearly as good now as it did in 1997.
   
   Frankly, the graphics weren't terribly good in 1997 either. Games like Half-Life and Total Annihilation were coming out at the same time, and they still look great today. Moreover, there never was much semblance of a plot, and the AI (both friendly and enemy) is abyssmal.
   However, the game is still enjoyable, the levels still unique and well-designed, the weapons (although with the notable exception of the shotgun they all function essentially the same way) fun to use.
   Although the original rainbow six pales in comparison to essentially every game that has followed it, it isnt a bad thng to pick up in a bargain bin for some quick entertainment. 5/10

1. This software is really difficult to use. You can't save more than one work-in-progress at a time - you must export when you're done. Worse - there's no manual for this product - not in the box, not on their website. And if you need tech support, their website lists a phone number... IN THE UKRAINE! I could go on and on. It's a cheap program in every sense of the word.



2. I purchased this software to do some small scale desktop publishing, and while I'm not an expert in illustration software, I did find it difficult to use. The Shadow and Glow effects are very nice, particularly if starting from one of the pre-made templates. But trying to do something from scratch can be difficult, especially if you have a spatial constraint in mind. For example, I wanted to curve some text to fit in a wheel diagram, but I had to experiment, cutting-and-pasting each time, to see if the curve was right (you can only use the mouse to drag-and-click for transforms, and there is no numerical input like radius, angle, etc). In short, the software does what it does well, but not well enough or easy enough to warrant the price. If it still seems interesting, try the demo first before buying.

1. I like Photoshop Album. The user interface is quite intuitive, it's reasonably fast and it has all the features I need for working with thousands of digital photos.

   However, it wouldn't have hurt if Adobe had spent a few more QA cycles on it. I have updated to 2.0.1, but it's still pretty shaky.
   Try to type european special characters via Alt+0xxx in the caption line - BOOM.
   Try to import photos from a folder that also contains Quicktime videos (which my digital camera generates) - BOOM, and no workaround. There are now whole areas of my photo collection that I cannot view because I have accidentally imported Quicktime videos...
   I don't use the "Creations" and "Online Services" parts of the program at all, so I can't say anything about them.

   I'd give four stars if the quality was reasonable. Let's hope the next version is better.




2. I would avoid this software. Download Picasa for free try out and see how it works. I have had nothing but problems with this version of photoshop album. I purchased it because I had used 1.0 and it worked pretty good. I have had lots of troubles with colors being different on the thumbnails fron the true colors. Lots of bugs and crashing. You must pay for support also - doens't seem fair.



3. This program would be great if it did everything it claimed.



4. Beware. Adobe is not honoring the rebate on this item. That and the poor quality of this software mean that you should look elsewhere.



5. Most likely one of the most frustrating applications ever to pollute my hard drive! I'm an avid user of Photoshop, I think it's a wonderful application, so how can the folks at Adobe create Photoshop Album, and screw it up so bad?!? The program crashes, ruins pictures, makes slide shows of your pictures all cropped wrong, with no option to change it.
   
   Run!
