1. I am a self taught web designer. One of the software programs I was using was Microsoft Picture It! Publishing Platinum. It worked fine for 2 years until I updated my computer with 'Updates'. Then all of a sudden it no longer worked. After doing some research, apparently Microsoft does not support it's software after a certain length of time. (forcing the consumer to buy newer software) I then bought an older Publishing Platinum software program, which was really too old and outdated. My son bought me Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 which I found extremely complicated to use. I then researched Amazon and read some customer comments on Digital Image Suite 9 and bought it and
   I LOVE IT!!! It has everything I need and didn't have to be a computer guru to use it. So I highly recommend buying Digital Image Suite 9.
   I also recommend reading the customer comments before purchasing an item
   as they are very helpful and honest about the use of the product!

2. Advantages:
   Simple interface
   All the basic digital effects to correct a photo
   Very integrated with the other programs
   
   Disadvantages:
   Wastes lots of memory
   Not advanced enough (compared to Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks)
   Not customizable enough
   
   I used this software in addition to Fireworks and Microsoft Photo Editor. It is primarily for simple photo correction software. If you need more than this, try something else. It comes with an array of filters, banners, a library system to setup, and other things, but its all pretty simple stuff.
   
   For the price of $20 or less, its really worth it.



3. I do very little editing etc and this was just the software for me (a beginner). It has a lot of features and is very easy to use. It is not for the very serious editor (like my wife). If you want all the bells and whistles get something more expensive, However if you are like me and want to edit photos or make great slide shows with little effort then this IS the software for you.



4. Excellent product! All we expected and more at a great price.



5. I only paid 8 bucks for this new because I guess a new version replaced it. Forget any new versions...this version ROCKS! So many cool and fun features. I can remove wrinkles, air brush imperfections, add borders, turn faces into funny distorted cartoons....we are having a blast with this and have only touched on a few features so far! LOVE IT!

1. I have found this to be a very easy program to edit and make quality dvds.



2. You can do just about anything you want to do to video with this product. I love it. Great for downloding video from any camcorder to your computer and then doing video editing. Simply Great.



3. Bought Ulead VideoStudio 11 plus and have installed it. So far, it works extremely well and is easy to use after you spend time learning the in's and out's. Have had previous experience with Pinnacle older versions, so the basic concepts are easy to pick up. VideosStudio has been steady as a rock and responsive. Am downloading from mini DV camcorder and plan to edit old films previously transfered to DVD and create finished family history digital records. Was allowed to upgrade to version 11.5 plus at no additional cost.



4. Bluray conversion quality is poor & blury and looks nothing like raw HDV footage. At first i thought it was my high definition canon camcorder but after using cyberlinks Power Producer software and LG blueray burner I noticed a hugh diffrence in picture quality and time taken to convert files. Ulead takes approx 6 hrs to convert 1 hr of HDV files to bluray wheras cyberlink's power producer takes approx 15 minutes and the video is crisp and clear.



5. I have used Ulead Viedo products and I have to say that this is the best yet. It is easy to use and makes video editing fun.
   It has may features that other programs have that cost many hundreds of dollars more.

1. This product was much nicer than I ever thought it would be. It has great images and unlike most low priced clip art I buy, it actually comes with a book showing you all the images printed out! I did nto expect it but it's great! I did have a question about how to use a particular image but the call was answered quickly by Nova and they even showed me how to edit the image to make it work for me even better! Very very pleased, especially with the price!



2. Last year my mother let me borrow this software to create holiday greeting cards to mail to friends, family, and business contacts. This holiday season I bought myself a copy. I did not know how to install the disc so I called tech support. They kindly held my hand while I downloaded it to my computer. They explained that these images can be used in almost every type of software imaginable (greeting card, label, scrapbook, and word processing was a few examples I was given). No holiday has been forgotten in this image library. It does not matter what faith you follow, you will find professional quality images in this software



3. This will be the second year using this clipart for my seasonal cards and projects. I have even given members of my sewing club copies of this. This really gives you the ability to make great looking holiday cards.
   There is a large number of categories included in this image library, including some unlikely ones. There are images for: Super Bowl Sunday, Kwanzaa, St. Patrick's Day, Graduations, BBQ's & Picnics, Back-to-school, and many, many more!



4. The clip art you get with this package is very good. I bought it for clip art that I could use for my engagement/wedding announcements, "Save the date" Magnets, Invitations, ect. For these purposes, the clip art was exceptional. The Catalogue sent with the program is a wonderful addition and is a definate plus. However, the pictures are where I felt the program makers let the customer down. There are only 5 categories of pictures. Three of those categories are religious. The other two categories are seasons and holidays, both of which are well stocked with great photos. If you are looking for A LOT of religious photos as well as,again, an excellent collection of clip art, this is your product. If you just want the clip art, again, this is your product. However, if you are buying it for the pictures and expect any sort of variety, do not buy this product.



5. I'm a graphic designer who does wedding invitations and stationery, birth announcements, etc. I bought this based on the user's review that said it was great for that stuff. Boy, was I disappointed. These clip art images look like something a first-grader would use! They are poor quality, useless cartoon images that I would not even dream of using on any of my designs. Perhaps the fact that I use Windows XP had something to do with it, but I did check with the manufacturer before purchasing and I was assured that it would even work with Vista. At any rate, I was so horrified by the clip art that I didn't even bother to look at the photos. Thank God I bought this used - still, there's $7 I'll never see again.

1. For those of us who just need an occasional outlet for our creativity and can't justify the big bucks for professional design software, this tool is great! Naturally, it's a little glitchy and it doesn't have the power that a professional demands, but it is still a fine program. The interface is simple, and it's easy to get started. It's possibilities are seemingly endless for those of you with creative minds, but for the rest of us, they have pre-fabricated cards, etc. The graphics set is overwhelming, but the search capabilities bring it down to size. There is some standard cheap clipart, but there is a significant amount of high quality clips, artwork and photos. Also, the cartoon-o-matic is fantastic. I can play with it for hours. This program is a lot for your money. It is an excellent purchase if you are not looking for a professional tool. Enjoy!



2. This is a great piece of software! It does it all; posters, signs, banners, greetings, cards, and more. All you have to do is supply the imagination, and utilize the immense art gallery to create a top-quality project. The user interface is easy to use, and the optional web integration is seamless. If you are a bit lacking in the creativity area you can use a ready-made project instead of starting from scratch. Highly recommended for fun, productivity, or possibly even business. Highly recommended.



3. I was shopping with my parents one day when I noticed an older version of PrintMaster at an incredibly low price. I had to have it. That's when it all started. Our church needed a newsletter, so I started doing it. I took over the calendar. I did the usher's pins. I did SO MANY THINGS for our church, home, family, and friends. This may surprise you, but it's true - I started all that stuff at the age of 11! I'm now 13, and I still love PrintMaster. It's one of my essential computer programs! Buy this or a later version - you won't be disappointed!



4. I had a similar experience as reviewer Joe. First I bought Printmaster 7.0 Gold and loved the features, but hated having to keep re-inserting the program disk back and forth every time I used the Art CD's. In addition, the online help didn't work. As the software is relatively inexpensive I decided to upgrade to 8.0 Platinum. Well, so far I have been unable to run the 8.0. After installing the software the program starts to launch but then aborts with some invalid page fault error message. So far no response to my request for technical assistance via email. I think this could be great software for the casual home user, and I am even tempted to shell out [the cash] for version 10 to see if they have the bugs worked out yet. All I would say is Buyer Beware.



5. I have owned other earlier copies of PrintMaster and by far the Platinum version 8.0 is far superior. It uses every little hard drive space, is very user friendly, and so far is endless in graphic choices and ability. As a third grade school teacher, I am constantly in need of new and exciting ways to present topics. PrintMaster Platinum gives me the freedom to graphically enhance the subject matter and improve the learning envirorment.

1. Used for landscaping yard, generally easy and definitely helped in selecting a final layout. Video tutorials are good but there is lots to learn so resorted to finding how some aspects of the program worked via Google searches. Plant pictures seem overrated - every plant is shown in full bloom even though many only bloom for one month a year. Makes it difficult to see how landscape will really look at different times during the year. Has nice function for laying out a sprinkler system. All in all a very good program for the price.



2. If you haven't kicked the dog or beat the spouse recently, you'll want to after using this software. From an ease of use standpoint, this stuff is crap with a capital "S". I write software for a living, and if I wrote this, I would expect to have users with pitchforks and torches outside my door by nightfall. From what I can tell, this product can (or would like to) do some pretty sophisticated things for software in this price range. They even give you a nice thick user guide and some video tutorials to help you get started using the various designers. It's not enough. Plan on spending more time wrestling with this software than you'll spend actually building your house or deck or patio. Plan also to spend a lot of time in the Punch Software forums asking and reading questions. That's how I learned that, since there's no actual patio designer despite the name, you can use the deck designer to create a patio. You know, just create a deck and remove the steps, railings and skirting, change the wood to some other material, and there you have it.
   
   If you're in prison, you might want to try to get the warden to pony up for this product to while away the time. On second thought, don't! It will make your sentence seem longer than it actually is.



3. This software is extremely difficult to use, with this difficulty compounded by the fact that it doesn't always work as it should. I have experience with various CAD programs and understand how things 'should' work. This Punch stuff is far from it. I also write software and agree with the first reviewer: I would be hiding if this were my product. Don't waste your money unless you like being frustrated.
