1. Excellent software but is not compatible with windows VISTA!!! I couldn't install the DVD architectural software on that platform and the Vega studio does not properly run either!



2. I did quite a bit of research before purchasing VMS Platinum and I was not disappointed! I have an old Athlon 2200+ system that I built myself about six years ago. The system did not meet the requirements to run Premier Elements and was SLOW running the Pinnacle 10 trial version. Vegas loads quick, runs rock solid and as a novice I found it easy to use. I have made a DVD of a trip that my church's youth group made as well as a birthday party for one of my friend's son. They were thrilled with it. DVD architect studio is well integrated and also easy to use. I highly recommend Vegas Movie Studio!



3. While I am not as technologically savvy as my husband, I did buy this for both of us to use. We recently put together a hilarious montage of our Fourth of July party, complete with the 1812 Overture as background music...carefully timed with our fireworks, of course. Adding these effects, creating chapters, editing with transitions, adjusting sound...all were very user-friendly.



4. NLE and DVD authoring. Editor is very well constructed; DVD Architect more tan satisfies my requirements.



5. I'm a beginner...and found the software SUPER-EASY to use! I was able to make a BASKETBALL HIGHLIGHTS DVD for my sons in less than a day!

2. This product is much, much more than it claims. There was nothing left to guess about as far as it's capabilities before my purchase. It delieverd above and beyond what can be stated. It is easy to use an the results are amazing. The quality is absolutely excellent. Movie makers couldn't have better software to do their job. I highly recommend it to all!!!!

1. We have had to suffer with roxio products that came with our computer. They cannot be removed either. Our desktop computer has an annoying glitch caused from trying to remove this horrible product from the hard drive. We even tried to download a program to remove it and nothing works. Customer service for this product is non-existent. The quality of roxio products is VERY poor and definitely not worth the high price you will pay. If you purchase roxio products you will regret it.



2. i ordered this cd, because after bringing my desktop computer in for service and when i started to use it, on the screen each time came up
   to insert the cd/dvd creator 6 and each time i tried to cancell, it immed.
   reappeared. and i tried to delete it to no avail/i then ordered the cd and
   figured that by inst. the cd. that my problems would go away/ but aftrer inst. the cd/now i get install eccd dvd creator 6 if you press. cancell it
   comes right back as installing and you just can not get rid of it/this is
   $18.00 of waisted money/if you go on the intern. to easy creator also no good advice/this thing is like a virus not going away!!!!!!to rate it the minimum is one star,it is not worth any stars!!!!



3. This software completely sucks. On top of bad registration management, incomprehensible updating and pop ups to get more of your money for upgrades, etc. the software will completely hammer ITunes by altering your registry and make it impossible to burn cds from ITunes. Then you get the joy of reinstalling ITunes, and done hurridly, you've just lost all your playlists, album art, etc. Purchase this software if you want hours of head-banging frustration and annoyance.



4. I have found this item to be more than I expected. It has features that I hadn't expected to be part of the program, but am happy they're there.
   I would shop on Amazon.com any time as I have always been satisfied with my purchases.



5. I don't suppose many people will be buying this product as there are four later versions. Just in case you are tempted by the cheap price, I offer some some words of warning.
   
   Generally speaking I have had few problems with the software. Sure it has its bugs, but for my purposes it is generally quite adequate. I am fortunate that I didn't experience the grave problems that others describe here. The Disc Copier function, as its name suggests, allows you to burn entire discs without inserting gaps between tracks. This is essential for classical music where tracks are often cue points rather than separate entities. There is a facility called Audio Central you can use to make compilation albums, and this facility can also be used to transfer material from cassette or LP to CD. Despite the bugs I'd have given this product 4 or 5 stars were it not for Roxio's attitude to their customers.
   
   Not long after I bought the product Windows issued XP Service Pack 2. Following installation of the latter, I found that certain modes of burning CDs with Creator 6 left me with a pile of coasters. I made umpteen requests for help and each time received generic, computer-generated answers which were of no help at all. You know the sort of thing - reinstall the product, turn off virus protection etc. I'm not Bill Gates but even I figured out the problem relatively quickly - XP SP2 uses a lot more resources, which led to a buffer underrun and copying being aborted.
   
   Worse still is that Roxio no longer offer support for this product. I discovered this when all of a sudden using the auto-update facility generated a Windows error message. Now, there haven't been any updates for some time and I wasn't particularly expecting any, despite there being several minor but annoying bugs. I contacted support to confirm my suspicions that the internet location the updater links to has moved or closed. A simple question, surely. The reply was another generic email, telling me that basically Roxio are no longer prepared to discuss older products, and that if I want support I'll have to shell out for another version.
   
   I took the matter up on the Roxio forum and with in minutes received sarcastic replies from the forum's resident "digital gurus" (employees of Roxio, presumably). Despite explaining that all I wanted was a simple answer to a simple question, I was berated for daring to hang on to a four-year-old product, rather than spending more and more money bying new products in the hope that this time the bugs have gone.
   
   Bottom line: if you just want to copy CDs for car use this product isn't too bad. Beware though, there are quite a few bugs and you won't get any help if you ask about them.

1. The concept behind ColdFusion when Allaire built it was brilliant, but the program was somewhat hacky. When Macromedia bought it they made it a professional 'must have' and easy to program product for any serious web application developer. Now, with ColdFusion 8, under Adobe and merging with other Adobe technologies, the integration with PDF, .NET, Exchange Server Mail, and image rendering as a single, simple cf tag is pure genius. ColdFusion 8 is to Web Development what WYSIWYG is to Web Design.

1. My company has purchased several software packages for doing our business cards and letterhead. Business Card Factory Deluxe is the best of the lot. It is also the only one we have seen to include a written manual. Keep in mind that with all these packages you will not be able to use 95% of what is included. It is the other 5% that counts.



2. This is really nothing more than a highly specialized desktop publishing program - and it works very well for its limited purpose. It doesn't do anything you can't do with a myriad of other programs, but it does make it all a little more convenient and a little user.
   
   Plenty of templates to work with, plenty of clip art images and fonts. For the low price, it's a competent program and, frankly, a lot of fun to work with.
   
   Can't go wrong with this one.

4. The reason I bought it instead of a general desktop publishing program is that this includes a lot of customization and templates that general packages do not offer. Besides I don't need to publish brochures right now though I did in 1988 with other Desktop Publishing software on the Mac.
   
   This will work with Vista, even though it doesn't say it, if you download additional drivers from Microsoft called "Windows Help (WinHlp32.exe)" for Vista. An easier way would be to go to the novadevelopment dot com website and click support and look for the link.
   
   It works beautifully on Vista for me.

1. I am so impressed with this software. The first time I used it, I made a CD insert using a clip-art basketball and a whole season's worth of pictures. It took about seven minutes and turned out better than I ever would have imagined. In fact, it was so good we had it made into a poster for my son's room. His teammates enjoy staring at the posture trying to find themselves.
