- i havnt had this product very long so i havnt had a chance to get into it. seems like there is alot of stuff to learn so it may take a while to really get going. but what i have done so far, i am pleased.
- when you listen to all thos catchy pop/hiphop beats and cool techno song you always wonder how they create them, well with this program you can. I now have a music studio on my computer because i can create my own beats and songs. there is thousands of different ways to tweak and enhance your song to your liking. It takes a while to learn how to use it but its cool to play around with different songs. i would deffenitly purchase this product if you are the person that wants to create and produce thier own music.
- No regrets. It's somewhat of a learning curve, but it's the Producer Edition and that's the level I bought it at. So much potential unlocked and the lifetime support for tutorials is a definite plus.

- Who should buy this and why?
600 designer fonts?
A good value for the price?
Who should buy this? Anyone who has a need to do some kind of artistic presentation. Anyone who with an upcoming special event, ie, wedding invitations, graduation invites, bar/bat mitvahs, birthday parties. Or hobbyist such as diarists. And, if you own graphic arts suite such as Adobe's or QuarkXpress.
Why? Because, with this package you have some really rare and outstanding fonts to work with. Not the run of the mill, free fonts that is more or less knockoff's of Times New Roman, Arial or useless fonts like dingbats.
600 fonts! Well, not exactly. It's roughly 100 distinct fonts with many "font family" views in about 6 different values from standard to italicized to bold, to expanded, to condensed, to wide to thin.
And, they're separated into 4 group headings: Classic, Refined, Creative, and Designer.
A good value for the price? Absolutely. For thirty dollars, you have some gems here such as: CaflishScriptPro, Cracked!,Flatbrush, Hiragino (Japanese Font), InaiMathi (Hindi font), Indent (a phantom-like font), Kai (another beautiful Japanese font),Papyrus, TsarHeavy (Russian font), Bow, Big Caslon, Baghdad (Arabic font), Ghandi, Gremlin solid, Ironwork, Liberate, Lucida Blackletter, Parade, Party, New Peninim (Hebrew), plus Schoolhouse Printed and Schoolhouse Cursive. *There are also two other Middle Eastern fonts-- I won't attempt to guess, but they're beautiful nonetheless.
It comes with a 5-license deal, and for $30 bucks, it's a no-brainer. It really is a beautiful collection.

5 comments about Apple iLife '06 (Mac DVD) [OLD VERSION].
- I'm joining the other 5 star people. It's a fantastic product. I wasted my money buying an instruction manual. It was never needed. I bought it for iWeb, and yes, you can have sites on the web in mere hours. One glitch is that you don't get to choose your own domain name, so I bought a name and set it up to forward to the name that .Mac assigned me. Fine, but the forwarding doesn't work for 10-20% of the people I've asked to check out my website. I have to then give them the "awkward" assigned name. Since I'm using it for my small business, this isn't good. So far, I haven't found a solution. All first generation products have issues however, and I still love it (iphoto, iTunes, iDVD, as well).
- I purchased iLife '06 ONLY because iPhoto was maxed out (even though '05 states it supports 25,000 photos and we only have 14,000+). Well, the new iPhoto does work great and is fast, however... the way it organizes the photos on your hard drive is a nightmare. No longer are the photos stored in yearly folders, with month and day sub-folders. Now it stores everything by roll number - which is created when you upload the photos. So if you upload two photos that's a roll if you upload 2-weeks of photos, that's a roll, etc. If you post a lot of photos to the internet, you'll know why this is a HUGE pain. Their solution: save copies of the photos you want to upload into a new folder on your computer. How does that SAVE time?? I'm pretty disappointed and HOPE this is an issue they revisit going forward. As it is, it's screwed up the prior folders also so it's a good thing I have it all backed up on an external hard drive up to the point of installing the new version.
- Apple has created a new version of iWork, and they provide no upgrade pricing, effectively sticking it to customers and vendors. If you buy this product, you will be stuck with the old version and have to pay FULL PRICE for the new version that contains a spreadsheet application.
And, yes, Apple deleted any comments complaining about the upgrade policy on their discussion boards.
- Apple iLife 06. I had iLife 05 working well on an eMac, and then upgraded the operating system to Mac OS 10.5. That seemed to kill iLife 05. Version 06 is doing all that I expected and wanted, as I work on editing slide shows and videos. A good piece of software that is easy to use.
- I am not going to buy any more iLifes, I believe they are just about useless and cost too much. My other software applications take care of everything, so iLife is useless. Apple is making some big bucks off of these things. Wake up people! There are better applications out there for the MAC.

2 comments about Adobe Creative Suite 3.3 Web Premium Upgrade.
- I had tried to purchase the product from Adobe's web site. They initially told me I had an invalid VAT ID, which made no sense to me, so I contacted their customer service, who sent me to a different shopping cart to purchase... 6 hours later I still had not recieved download info, made several inquiries with them concerning my order, customer service were incompetent, told me it took 24 hours for their databases to be updated etc. etc. Nobody to help me get what I paid for.. Finally I got a terse email from them telling me my order had been cancelled. So I went over to Amazon.com who were only too pleased to take my money and ship me a CD copy of the product. It was worth waiting a few days to have it delivered. I will say that Adobe did a great job on this version. I find the work flow to be much improved, and there is a common look and feel accross most of the applications. Overall, a good product, but Adobe did a terrible job of trying to sell direct to me.
- I started with Dreamweaver 3, upgraded to Studio 8 and now have Web Premium for my website design and could not be happier with improvements by Adobe. Not only do you have improved software but the software has great support through the "help" section and tutorials by Lynda. You can't go wrong with this upgrade!
