5 comments about Photo Explosion Deluxe 2.0.
- I bought a Canon Powershot camera, a Canon Pixma MP500 printer, extra ink, great paper, and this program. The only bad thing about my experience was this software. It was slower than molasses (my computer has more than enough memory and a nice graphics card) and it made my computer crash several times. I finally managed to do "something" with the program, hated it, and packed it up and returned the product. The store gave us a hard time but finally gave us a full refund.
Pro's: NONE
Con's: slow
caused computer crashes
results were not worth the time, money, nor pain
It looks like a few people love this product according to reviews but it is obvious that not everyone has had a positive experience with this product and/or the company. Many other products made by this company have good reviews you can read on Amazon. Maybe I just had a bad experience and the software was not designed to meet my personal needs but I must give this product a rating of 1.
- Got Photo Explosion Deluxe just before Christmas, and it makes the whole digital photography process a delight. Finally. I've tried lots of other programs. Some are clearly very powerful - Photoshop Elements, for example - but they're way too much for what I need, impossible to navigate, really designed for professionals. Photo Explosion's approach is entirely different. There's lots of hand holding, it's a step by step process, and you just can't go wrong. And there are lots of neat extras, like a morphing program and a montage program and a nice CD slide show maker. They've just really thought it through, and while I've got half a bookcase shelf full of other digital photo editors that have left me underwhelmed, the Nova folks do get it. With respect to rebates, I got mine - and fast. It had the company name on it, not the product name, so I scratched my head for a few minutes before I figured it out. I wonder if that was the problem some other people experienced. Anyway, no rebate problems with this one.
- I am still learning this new software---but it is so easy to learn! Unlike most programs, Photo Explosion is so easy to navigate. I have just finished working with approximately 75 photos from my camera. The download was simple and the editing is so entertaining. I would highly recommend this for any artistically inclined amateurs who don't want to spend a fortune on software.
- I just got this and so far happy..The only thing is I can't figure out how to do Black and white with color yet? Also the price here is very high when you can get it at WalMart for $20!!!
- It was very dificult to use at first, I still haven't gotten to use all of its features, however for a quick banner or stanionary, or a quick photo edit, this software is excellent, I use Adobe photoshop at school, and this program gives me the oppurtunity to open a photoshop file on my computer

2 comments about Line 6 GearBox Gold Bundle with Toneport D.I. USB Recording Interface.
- This is by far the best guitar fx plug-in ever created, seriously. I've used the Line 6 PodXT on several recording sessions and was ready to shell out for one + the extra model packs, but then came the GearBox Gold bundle and I was sold!
The Gold bundle contains every amp/cab/fx that Line 6 has ever modeled for guitar/bass and even includes a bunch of vocal preamps & fx. The fx chain could've been a bit more flexible by allowing us to freely move the stomps in the chain but that doesn't stop you from being creative and crafting awesome tones. The plug-in is very CPU efficient, I had 8 instances running in a Pro Tools session with the lowest latency setting on P4 3.2Ghz w/ 1GB DDR RAM and I could still squeeze in a couple more!
The presets are a good starting point but I suggest you get down and dirty with crafting your own tones. GearBox is compatible with tones created for other Line 6 products (e.g. GuitarPort, PodXT, Vetta II etc.) so head over to [...] and download away, there are a TON of great user submitted and Line 6 Artist presets.
The Gold DI is the little USB direct box that must be plugged in when using GearBox as it also functions as a dongle for the plug-in and the model packs. Although it isn't of much use in my home studio setup (I use my M-Audio 1814 to DI guitars) it comes in very handy when I jam or record ideas on my other computer. Yes you can run GearBox on any number of computers and the authorization is painless!
Finally, with this huge arsenal of great sounding guitar & bass amps/cabs/fx and the vocal preamps you have everything you need to get studio quality tones for just about any style of music. Line 6, Believe!
- i agree with the other reviewers - the sound is awesome. not "all" the presets are awesome, but there are plenty out there to start as templates to craft most any sound you can think of.
however...
to borrow a famous informercial's catch-phrase, if you want to "set it and forget it" then you're good to go. if you want to change your presets, be prepared to stop playing because this can't be done remotely (i.e. via midi). at least you can switch on/off all the various effects remotely.
also, you'll find this item more worthwhile if you're a guitar player. once again, bass players get lesser consideration from line 6.
it sounds great, relatively painless to use (at least in the limited ways it can be used), and i was able to get it for a great price. i'm enjoying it, but i wouldn't buy it again. rock on!

5 comments about ClickArt 1.2 Million DVD (2006).
- THIS ONE OF THE POOREST PROGRAMS I HAVE EVER GOTTEN. IT IS HARD TO USE. IF I HAD NOT DAMAGED THE BOX I WOULD SEND IT BACK. WORKS SLOWLY AND SURPORT IS NOT TO BE HAD. IT CAME WITH PRINT SHOP 21 THAT IS NOT SURPORTED ANY MORE. I GOT THE PROGRAM 5/11/2007 BUT FIND THAT EMAIL HELP IS OVER. THE ONE PATCH FOR PRINT SHOP 21 IS VERY HARD TO USE AND I HAVE BEEN USE A PC FOR 12 YEARS.
- After 4 hours and several installs and uninstalls I decided to try to return it. I can not get it to work with my windows XP.
- I "second" another reviewer's disdain for this product. Upon opening the box, the legal contract states that you cannot use anything from this product for anything that you might want to sell.
So, if you are a (very) small-time business person, you couldn't sell a calendar, greeting card, or promos. You are only supposed to use the art for "personal" use. Given that limitation (personal use only), why not just get art off of the internet? What's the point of buying this product?
Think about this: this includes the fonts. So you couldn't sell a poem that you wrote IF you used a font from this package.
I don't get it. Seems that broderbund takes your money and gives you little in return
- Most of the images that I would like to use aren't on the DVD but have to be downloaded from the Internet. I bought the set for its anatomy content, but many of these are cartoons. They would serve the consumer better by separating these collections into categories that were aimed at specific audiences.
- I aggree with another reviewer about Broderbund you purchase their products and you realy get nothing in return, as what you purchased you may, aswell already said have downloaded it from the internet, I purchased print master and its totaly useless to me as I am into sublimation and cannot use it in my own projects

2 comments about Hip Hop 4 - eJay.
- This installment of the Hip Hop Ejay series is amazing. It's real easy to use and you can create some amazing beats! It's also saved me a LOAD of money on getting producers to make my beats, as well as saved me money on studio time! If you're trying to branch out and make your own album and beats, this is a MUST have. I've been COMPLETELY satisfied with it. It's a great piece of production software, and it beats the hell out of the Magix Music maker series! There's a wide variety of sounds, loops, keys, guitars, drums, base, etc. The only reason I didn't give this review a perfect 5-star rating was because I wished they would've included more strings, and more elements for Latin-style rap rhythms. Other than that, I don't see anything wrong with it.
- This ejay is better than the rest of em so far because the sounds in this one are good acual pianos an other instuments in the 6th one they are all tecno sounding and the bass and poly makers all sound like tecno the 4th one tho you cant make bass sounds an such but like i said better sounds for making beats that are dark and grim and some for making just good beats

5 comments about Conquest: Frontier Wars.
- Conquest Frontier Wars is a great game! It has prooven ideas and techniques, as well as new ones that really make this game unique. Think of it as 4X meets RTS. The three races greatly resemble the Starcraft races not only in looks, but in the technology they use. But other than that, the races are unique from each other, yet well balanced. The graphics in this game are phenominal! Although not completely 3D, the Starfields, asteroid belts, planets, nebulae, etc. are very well done. The ships look even better. They are incredibly detailed, from the rotating laser turrets on the Terran battleships, to the Celearon's beautiful shine. The weapons are very believe not only technology wise, but looks to.
Raings: (1-10) Graphics: 9 The graphics are beautiful, no aspect has been overlooked. The reason it isn't a 10 is that the ships, even on high reselution, aren't perfectly rendered on the edges, making them slightly jagged. Sounds: 8 Most of the sound effects are very realistic and really draw you in. The weapon sounds fit perfectly in the battles, and each are unique, you can tell which ships are fireing. The main thing I don't like, is the way the mantis talk. Although cute at first, they get very annoying very quickly. Gameplay: 10 The traditional RTS and 4X style games merge perfectly to create a game that will give you many hours of fun. The campain is only for terrans, but there is "training" for the other races. The multiplayer system works well, but few people have given this game a chance, so they are only a few people on at a time. Replayability: 10 With 3 unique races, a great AI, multiplayer capability, and many ways to play the game, Conquest: Frontier Wars will give you so much fun for your money. This is a great game and is greatly overlooked, so if you have [$$$] lying around, you can pick up a copy of this game like I did and enjoy one of the best computer games to date. But if you want to fully enjoy the game, be prepared to download the 40 Meg (est) patch. But trust me. It's worth it.
- uhh.... I think I'll buy it.
- This is a great game that caught my eye. I bought it, installed it, ran it, saw the opening video, and the game crashed. A little thing no one mentions is that the game does not work with certain Nvidia cards. I myself have an Nvidia GoForce Fx Go5200. Apparently there is a downloadable patch to correct this issue but no matter where I downloaded it from, the game still failed to work for me.
It wasn't until after much hassel and tweaking (including lowering my hardware acceleration to almost none) that I was able to get the game to run. Even then it did not run properly. The pixels were very low so the detail was low as well.
Despite the graphics problems, once I was able to play the game I was instantly addicted. I especialy love the "multi system gameplay" brought about by the use of wormholes. As you can tell, the game mimics Starcraft to the point where it almost seems ridiculous. The only real differences are the game is based on a galactic scale, you may have to deal with several systems at once, meaning you better be pretty good at multi-tasking, and the 3D graphics.
Overall, unless you have an Nvidia graphics card, BUY THIS GAME!!!
- I remember hearing a lot of good things about this game, but I put it in and it was slow even on a modern computer, I'm not sure if it had to do with installing full install or what. But the story is cool. Missions are a tad bit easy. overall a classic though, defiantly gave star craft a run for its money and that is what was around when this came out.
- One of the only problems I have with this game is that its a little laggy. other then that its awesome. I love the multi sector system, where in most other RTS, you normally find the enemy pretty much across the street, then you just go over and destroy him. In Conquest, you have to go through several maps to locate the enemy. In other RTS, you sit there and just have to build your strongest unit, or nuke em with your WOMD untill hes done. Where in this game, You have to actually build a fleet made up of a mixture of all the units you have, besides that you need to include a supply ship, because you don't have unlimited ammo like in most RTS games. Any way thats all I gotta say..Im gonna go back to my game.

2 comments about Apple Garageband Jam Pack: Remix Tools.
- With Garage Band's standard-issue synth patches and loops, it was hard to make new music without using the same sounds more than once. With these Jam Packs, I can get lost just finding loops to use - which is a really good thing! Definitely worth the money!
- this product is great it comes with lots of loops, and plenty of new instruments, it makes it alot easier to make hip hop beats.

5 comments about Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Designer Deluxe 2.0.
- Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Designer Version 2 Deluxe - This seems to be a nice program, but I have not found much use for it as of yet. My intention, when buying it, was to use it for scrapbooking but also greeting cards. I am sure that I will use it in the future as the program has nice graphics and is easy to navigate. Broederbund products are usually very user friendly.
- I love this product. It is easy to use and lots of designs to chosse from.
- Havent' done a lot with the product yet - but what i have done was pretty easy to figure out - looks like it will be a cute package for simple designs that you can just drop in your own pics.
- I had read other reviews of this product before buying and it is
so much fun. It does take some playing around with it. The help
resource is pretty good and I'm figuring out how to do more and
more with it. I really am having fun with it. I'm able to use my
creativity as far as it wants to go!
- I went back to paper scrappin', just wasn't worth the money I paid for it.
