  1. This is an easy-to-use greeting card software program. You can customize the set of pre-made cards simply by right-clicking on the card: a menu will appear and with a simple click, you can customize the card. There are a number of cool fonts, too. The graphics, especially the fine art grouping, are excellent. The only complaint is that the clip art is not customizable and some of the colors of the clip art are just plain ugly. There are thousands of graphics, though, so you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.

  2. I loved this program enough to purchase their Christian Greeting Card Factory and just ordered Greeting Card Factory 2. The only problem I had with this particular program (and I own many others: Print Shop 10, Print Master 12, CreataCard 7 Gold, Am.Greetings Sprititual Expressions 6) is for some unknown reason, I had to use print preview or parts of the card would be missing (mostly the bottom and one side border). The graphics are so good, it was worth the extra bother. To the person needing help, their online technical services are wonderful and fast. And FREE as opposed to sitting on the phone forever and for $$. Happy Printing!

  3. This is the best ever greeting card program! I have used Hallmark and American Greetings greeting card programs and there is no comparison.

  4. This is great software at a great price. I've used American Greetings CreataCard and Hallmark Card Studio, but this one has them beat. The versatility, selection and total creative control this program gives you puts it in a class by itself. Many will find it hard to use because it does offer such variety and control of all aspects of card creation. With limited choices and "canned" card designs, CreataCard and Card Studio are easier to use. But if you really want to be able to create all sorts of cards, labels, stationary, etc from scratch or be able to modify to the last detail the designs that are available, this program is for you. It truly is an explosion and endless arangement of graphics and fonts, as well as your own digital photos.

  5. Easy to use and features a nice selection of cards and other publishing projects. Used the program to make birthday cards, invitations. Good variety of graphics and fonts included.

  1. I am hoping that I underated the photopro...the reason I purchased the photopro was because I was under the impression that it came with a tuitorial guide..if it did for some reason it's not to be found on my copy..perhaps if I knew how to use the photopro I would enjoy it and give it the rating I'm sure it deserves and photo? could be photopro..

  2. Of course, Photoshop is supposed to be the best - if you can take the time to learn/use it! Well, I do digital imaging part-time for myself and a photographer, and I don't have the time it takes to learn PS. THIS is THE program I use - I can do all that PS can do quickly (minus layers) and very effectively, without spending hours learning - instead hours are spent editing photos that turn into $$$$ for me. It's a great, cheap editin program!

  3. I too thought this would be good software, having the printshop name. The software does an ok job, and has a good user interface. The place where it falls down flat on its face is performance and file saving.

    1. If you scan 5 pictures at 600 dpi, then go from the get photo to the print tab, it takes 30 minutes!! and the computer is locked up for that entire time. I have a PIII 800 Mhz with 256M of memory and lots of free disk space. There is NO WAY it should take this long.

    2. When your scanned image is brought into the program, it immediatly saves it to the C drive WITHOUT asking for your permission, it also gives it a generated file name. You have no choice in this matter, and there is no 'option' to turn this off. Oh, it saves it as a BMP file, so any file that is saved is huge. Hope you have Giga bytes of free disc space. You can do a Save As later, but you still have to go in and delete the origional file saved by the software.

Adobe has a FREE product called ActiveShare that does almost the same thing, and seems to have better performance. I'm trying that software out next.

  4. the program is very helpful, it can do about everything.

although i love this program, I must admit that there are better programs, such as adobe photo shop, which i also own and is one of the bests

  5. The editing features for photos are great. The photo album layouts are very basic--which is great if that is what you want. If you want scrapbooking layouts this is not for you. (Art explosion Scrapbook Factory Deluxe) I have been scanning a lot of old family photos, and this package is good for correcting MANY things-overexposure/underexposure, coloring, cropping... There are lots of edges to choose from. The clip art is limited and basic. The frame selection is, well, ugly. I use this to edit photos, resave them and load them into other packages to create album pages.

  1. As a working engineer who needs to draw technical sketches, perform geometry calculations and produce professional reports and presentations, I have been looking for the ultimate technical drawing package for 15 years. Having bought and tried over 14 other drawing packages over the years - Corel Technical Designer 12 is the ultimate package. It is easy to use, fast, flexible and accurate, with a wealth of features. It has everything for the occasional user or for the dedicated technical drawing professional, illustrator, student or engineer. You won't be dissappointed.

  2. Review 20060312
I was a loyal and devoted user of Micrografx Designer Software since 1990, and have consistently updated my installation over the years as your records will indicate. These details are repeated here for convenience; 19950227, $118.47; 19951225, $172.35; 19970614, $150.66; 19990809, $283.69. Last week I upgraded my installation to your Designer 12 Technical Suite ($274.97 serial number omitted, purchased from Amazon).
It is difficult for me to express clearly my extreme disappointment in the present software. Not only are many, indeed perhaps most, of the significant features apparently no longer available, the software appears actually user hostile, being cluttered with irrelevant `features' perhaps of interest in worlds other than those of technical application. Other features apparently dropped or changed beyond all recognition or accessibility, render this new upgrade neither useful to me nor possible to understand in the light of my 16 years of experience with your former excellent products. For example, the Help File does not even contain the term `Parabola', at least a likely aspect of technical capability. What I expected was that the many features that formerly set Micrografx Designer way ahead of any significant competition would be enhanced, and that the many trivial irritations such as export/import versatility might have been improved. Designer was to me a wonderful compromise between the Technical but inartistic precision and user intractability of AutoCad and the Artistic capabilities of your own CorelDraw Suite.
My frustration is not only having spent $274.97 on software an `Upgrade' that is essentially less usable (and therefore less useful) program than my 7-year old Designer (now Build 8.01.1025), but more seriously is that I now have no decent path to the future for a significant body of work, files, documents, and historical knowledge.

  1. This is not a software but a 12 months web hosting, in order to use it you have to have an internet connection, all the resources are online the cd only contain mostly demos. Anything you do with this thing can't be exported to other web hosting, man I wanna slash my wrist with the box this is so useless.

  2. I purchased this to make websites, however, again, you do not find anything that states you can only use it to upload to their website which you sign up for and the first 12 months are free. After that you must pay. Magix seems to make good products, but all force you back to their iPace services to get more money from you.
I wanted to make flash sites for domains I own, but you cannot upload via FTP with this (something you learn only after purchase and reading the manual.)
Try Swish if you want a flash site.

  3. Total piece of junk! Free 12 months of domain and hosting, yea for a worthless SUB-DOMAIN! Easy to use? Not at all! Very few templates that were near impossible to make anything useful from, and a struggle to figure out how to do even that. After purchasing this one, I remembered another Magix product I purchased years ago, and it was a piece of trash too. I'm shredding it this evening to prevent someone rummaging through the trash from finding it and using it! Drop everything and run away from this product if you see it in the store.

  4. The product is GARBAGE!!!! Do not waste your time. This is strictly a web service NOT software. You get a free subdomain which is useless. Do not bother with this product.

  5. I too bought this software thinking it would be an easy way to create flash sites. After working with it and having a little patience, I thought it was just ok. To use it on other sites, simple export it to another web editor and it will work fine. Only problem is, it exports as a java script and as you know, that's not very seo friendly. For the money, not bad.

  1. I do not recommend this program. I bought it to make a tri-fold greeting card. The program was easy to install. It was a major pain (...)to use. You couldn't maneuver the text boxes, the image boxes or anything. I was unable to create any type of card at all. It was frustrating and a complete waste of money. Then I woke up and realized I can use the "brochure" feature on my American Greetings Create a Card program. Wish I would have realized that before I ordered this rotten Cosmi program. Don't Buy It!

  2. i couldn't make head or tails of this program;but when i finally managed to view the graphics and texts,i saw that there was nothing i'd want to use. Many of the pictures and most of the texts are just too strange and odd to use for greeting cards. Don't waste your money- there are better programs out there!
