  1. this game is very cool and very realistic, example: I shot and patroling sentery (with a sniper rifle) at five hundred and sevety three meters over a awkward up hill terained slope and the bullet's trajectory reacted just like in real life (it over shot to high due to gravity lessening because of elevation)and I dont miss.

  2. Shadow Company is one of the BEST GAMES I have ever played! It involves mercanaries being LEFT FOR DEAD after their previous mission. You and your team of mercs must now take revenge! You are to FIGHT and KILL ALL TERRORISTS! You must accomplish many missions in order to redeem yourself of the humility of being LEFT FOR DEAD! This game has great graphics, plot, gameplay, and overall LASTING APPEAL! It is one of the BEST 3D RTS game I have ever played! It is also a 3D TACTICAL RTS game! So lead your team and yourself on many perilous missions and campaigns and TAKE VENGEANCE INTO YOUR OWN HANDS AND ANNIHILATE EVERYTHING THAT COMES BETWEEN YOU AND YOUR TEAM! This game requires a BRAIN in order to play. It is sooooo FUN! - Carlos Jr. -aka- JC DENTON!

  3. This game is great and will definitely run on most PCs. The strategy involved makes the game extremely enjoyable, along with the mercenary aspects involved. Once you complete the mission, salvaged arms can be sold to finance other missions. For an older game, this is one of my favorites. It plays like a Rainbow Six type game in an entire field look and strategy play like WarCraft II.

    QUESTIONS:
Is this product mac compatible?? What is the difference between Acad Canvas 11 and Canvas 11 besides price??

3 comments about Microsoft Publisher Deluxe 2002.
  1. This program is great. I write my church program on a weekly base and before I started using Microsoft Publisher I used Microsoft word. Needless to say I spent more time trying to keep everything in it's place then I did changing the material. Publisher is so easy to use and has added such a professional look to our program. It takes me less time to produce a better-looking more effective program. It's worth the investment.

  2. As a small part of my job, I design flyers, formal invitations, posters, business documents, advertisements, and bulletins, and also update the company website. On my own limited time, I make greeting cards, invitations, banners and all sorts of other stuff.

I have used Microsoft Publisher from the inception, and it is the easiest, most idiot proof programme available for all of the above and more. Beginners can use the wizards and templates, which can be modified as you get more familiar with the programme. I am a self taught Publisher user, and if I can do it, anyone can.

Unfortunately, nobody in the professional advertising world and world-wide web uses or has any form of Publisher, so my best advertising creations have to be copied and saved in Microsoft Word, and sent to the advertising agencies to set up in Corel Draw. (I tried teaching myself Corel Draw, but it's not as easy as Publisher, and I gave up)

No website host works with Publisher either, so I have had to begin learning Dreamweaver, which is more complicated and only gives you a tiny space to work in, unlike the full page to which I am accustomed.

The only other drawback I have found is that the clipart collection is stored on-line, so you have to log on to the internet to get clipart pictures, and if you have a slow connection, you're there all day waiting for pictures to come up. They should have some basic clips readily available for simple projects, as in earlier versions.

For people who don't have to interface with the media and web site hosts, this programme is ideal for all your desktop publishing requirements.

  3. I originally used this product because it came with my computer, back in 1995. It was so simple to figure out that I ended up using it for all my professional work. It is interchangable with most other programs such as Adobe Photoshop, MS Word or even with the internet. I can do touchup on photos, add a wide variety of text, do newsletters, brochures, flyers, you name it. I have purchased other software that claimed to be better and to tell you the truth, this was the easiest one of the bunch. I have upgraded each version when available with absolutely no problem. The saved data automatically went into the upgrades without loss of information. Definately get this!

5 comments about Corel Painter 8 Upgrade.
  1. It took me a few months to break down and buy this. I had Painter Classic and Painter 7, and I liked them, but they weren't what I really wanted.

Painter 8 was exactly what I was looking for. The color mixer is wonderful! I can finally get the colors I want quickly and easily. The new interface is so intuitive and not at all intrusive like Painter 7's. The new brushes are brushes I want and use. Painter 7 had a lot of the same brushes with few variations organized in a haphazard fashion.

If you enjoy the look of natural media, and you enjoy the flexiblility and forgivability of digital media, Painter 8 is for you. I am so glad I bought it. I just wish I had purchased it earlier. It is a big improvement over 7.

  2. Today, a creative professional can only notice how mature the graphics software industry has become, new software are offering more and more features that are using more and more computer resources, without being adding real marginal benefits. New upgrades are only to keep the products alive, on the expense of making them more cumbresome.

Painter 8 is a different story altogether!
Corel® has made a great effort to make this upgrade of a previously clunky yet powerful product, a much more versatile, standardised and user-friendly juggernault. Gone are the days where you have to hopelessly search among dozens of panels for a particular brush, style or method. A slick bar at the top dynamically changes according to the tool you're using, where you set the size, opacity, curviness..etc.
Another thing that was greatly improved is the process of choosing the brush (that used to be very annoying with the old selective dimming). The brush selector is tucked at the upper right part of the screen (also in that slick bar,) in a much more logical and standardised way.
One also has the feeling that painter 8 was given something similar to the Macormedia® MX treatment, where the palettes can be customised into different panels and the layout saved according to the project.
The mixer panel IS useful, and is very consistant with the philosophy of this new painter release: the small things that make your work faster and stress-free. The os X over all performance is much snappier, not to mention the beefed-up photoshop compatibility, and o! have i mentioned that you get both a windows and a mac version with the license price ?

In short, If you thought painter was too eccentric and boggy for you, this is the upgrade you've been waiting for. Its new slick interface made me thank God that Corel® had taken the torch from Metacreation.

  3. I was taking a course in Computer Graphics and was introduced to Painter through the course. I had always used Adobe Photoshop so I had no idea what Painter would be like.

Fo those people who are not familair with computer graphics programs, Painter makes it easy to learn. You can learn so many things with just playing around with the various tools. Painter makes it easy for anyone to learn how to make a graphic. This is one of the best programs I have worked with over an extended period of time! Thanks so much Corel for making a product worth buying!

  4. This is one of my favorite softwares, you won`t go wrong.

    In a nut shell:

it`s like taking your favorite art store with paints, brushes, paper and canvases and putting them ALL in your computer and then throwing some things you can`t find in that store too : )

  5. Painter is *the* tool for creating the look and feel of natural media in a digital environment. Having upgraded from Painter classic, the new features at my disposal were breathtaking.

A tablet is practically a prerequisite to take full advantage of the program. I'm using the cheap $100 6x8 Graphire, but I understand a Wacom Intuos will add the program's ability to determine which way your pen is tilted and whether you swivel the pen or not.

I've made the switch from working in natural media to working 100% digital a couple of years back - but the switch would not have been possible without Painter.
