1. This program has lots of valuable picture manipulation feates, approaching even high end photo editing suites. However, everything is hidden behind a non-standard interface, and the hard or soft copy manual is not worth talking about. Of the many picture editing programs that I have explored, this comes closest to incorporating all those features that one needs when trying to do semi-professional work with photos. I found only one minor bug and this is a good value for the money.



2. IBM Pefect Phot, a giveaway on magazines from time to time, but one of the best photo editors you will come across at anywhere near a budget price. Packed with features, it will take you a while to find your way around as it's not very intuitive, but it does have manmy interesting effects, lots of enhancements, some automatic, some tweakable, and is altogether much much more than your average entry level editor.
   What a pity it's not so readily available now, but if you see it on a magazine as a free giveaway, don't hesitate, grab it while you can, you won't regret it!

1. Simple and easiest to use of T Shirt programs. Don't be put off by the low prices. Simply Magazine, with their Simply Media brands, have lots of craft products like this, with all of them on Amazon I think.

1. I have mixed feelings about this product. On one hand it contains a lot of pictures. The content quality is very good. Variety is excellent. There are people in different life situations: work, travel, or going to school. There are various objects. From clocks and glasses with orange juice to spray guns and road signs.
   
   There are also multiple variations of many pictures included, such as cakes with different toppings, or various heaps of oranges, or a cup of tea from different angles. This is a definitely useful collection; I can see it being especially well suited for web designers.
   
   On the other hand, the artwork is stored in HPI format, which is not widely recognized by popular applications. The CD contains a special utility (GraphicsDesk by Hemera), and you would normally use that utility to browse the artwork, and export the images to other applications. This is not too bad, there is an export wizard included that lets you choose various parameters including background color. Most artwork on the CD comes already masked. Also with many graphic applications you could simply drag and drop the pictures (I tried it with Corel Photo-Paint 9, it works but unfortunately the mask gets lost in the process).
   
   There you have it folks. If you can live without direct access to images - this is an excellent collection.

1. Cosmo have done it again, can you imagine being able to design your look on your desktop? Well along with the 20th century has come this oppurtunity. You can have long, short, blue, red, curly or straight hair. Casual, Professional or just plain Funky are just a few of the options available on this godsent software. Cosmopolitian Virtual makeover is one of the best utilty programs i have seen in a long while, the ability to change your look with just a click of a button is unreal, Not sure how to have your hair cut? Too scared to try it, well this is the answer to all your problems.Cosmopolitian Virtual makeover, a makeover you'll never forget



2. Although importing and adjusting picture to fit styles was easy, it only had 30 styles. Out of the 30 only 2 really were what I was looking for. The Long selection only had 2, there were 3 bridal "up do's" and for short - the selection was slim. It was a good "sampler" or "teaser" for getting something you could really use, but not useful once you got it. More selection of regular styles would have suite me better. ...Good Luck.

1. I bought Sonar 7 PE because I heard it was the best, and I didn't want to waste my time on the less expensive versions, as I figured I'd end up upgrading eventually.
   
   Sonar 7 has a lot of cool features, and it's very powerful. That's where the 3 stars come in.
   
   Unfortunately, it is maddeningly frustrating to learn. Here's an example. I hit play and get about half a second of sound before getting a "dropout" - basically an error saying that the program has encountered an error and can't play my music. After researching for an hour and trying all the suggestions I could find, I noticed that I did not have the Audio Engine button pressed in. It's sort of like I had the software "unplugged." Couldn't the designers come up with a better message than "Droput" in red?
   
   That's just one example. I have spent many, many hours trying to get my copy of Sonar working consistently. At the moment, it works about every other time I open it for any given project.
   
   I'm not real familiar with Cakewalk's competition, but I'd recommend taking a good look at it before purchasing this product.



2. If you buy this software you should:
   
   1)Have a solid understanding of midi
   2)Have a solid understanding of signal flow
   3)Have a solid understanding of signal processors
   4)Have a solid understanding of digital and anologue synthesis.
   5 you should have experience working with sequencers.
   
   An awesome tool for creating anything you can hear in your head. My only complaint is the the notation module is not very sophisticated.
