1. This is not a software but a 12 months web hosting, in order to use it you have to have an internet connection, all the resources are online the cd only contain mostly demos. Anything you do with this thing can't be exported to other web hosting, man I wanna slash my wrist with the box this is so useless.

2. I purchased this to make websites, however, again, you do not find anything that states you can only use it to upload to their website which you sign up for and the first 12 months are free. After that you must pay. Magix seems to make good products, but all force you back to their iPace services to get more money from you.
   I wanted to make flash sites for domains I own, but you cannot upload via FTP with this (something you learn only after purchase and reading the manual.)
   Try Swish if you want a flash site.



3. Total piece of junk! Free 12 months of domain and hosting, yea for a worthless SUB-DOMAIN! Easy to use? Not at all! Very few templates that were near impossible to make anything useful from, and a struggle to figure out how to do even that. After purchasing this one, I remembered another Magix product I purchased years ago, and it was a piece of trash too. I'm shredding it this evening to prevent someone rummaging through the trash from finding it and using it! Drop everything and run away from this product if you see it in the store.



4. The product is GARBAGE!!!! Do not waste your time. This is strictly a web service NOT software. You get a free subdomain which is useless. Do not bother with this product.



5. I too bought this software thinking it would be an easy way to create flash sites. After working with it and having a little patience, I thought it was just ok. To use it on other sites, simple export it to another web editor and it will work fine. Only problem is, it exports as a java script and as you know, that's not very seo friendly. For the money, not bad.

1. I have a 3.2 Ghz Intel Dual Core, 2 GB Ram, and windows XP professional. Spend your money else where. I give it ZERO stars. Useless software.



2. I baught this product for $6.00 at a outlet store. One with bright Orange stickers.
   
   + It is easy to use and will recored everything inside a little box you highlight. It has a very easy setup, and very nice help bar. Will record nice little clips with or without sound, which is great for home made AMVs.
   
   - It only recoreds up to 2GB of footage. Which i thought was a lot but when looking at a regular Divx movie, it was only like a three-four min segments. The recorder did not tell me that my 2GB were running out, it just let me record. And then it would show me later that it was not going to work. All in all a short 18 min movie was broken up into 8 peices instead of two or three.
   
   All in all find another Media recorder if you want a long video.

1. Used this for many many newsletters for teachers. It is a very fun and easy way to make the headlines stick out. It has an index of samples of all the fonts, the same fonts broken down into categories, and even a favorites section! Type Artist is an ultimate tool for creating awesome headlines.



2. I like using this product - It jazzes up your work and it's easy to use - Love it! However, I would like to have the option of changing more than just the background color.



3. You couldn't ask for anything faster. The only time-consuming thing is selecting the design you want to use from 90,000+ combinations. It's so quick and easy, you can create several designs and pick the one you most like. Easily change colors and fonts. It's simply fun to use. I guarantee you'll like this software!

1. I was very excited about this product after using the predecessor. But when I went to install it I had continual problems. Finally it damaged my kerner driver, needed to install programs. I can not get it reinstored or replaced and I have tried everytyhing they have suggested. I notified customer service and received two blanket fixes - neither of which worked and now I have never heard from them again. I'm very dissapointed in the fact this program damaged my compputer, and that customer service is only cursury at best. I have windows Milinniem edition with more that ample resources. I can not recommend purchase of this program at this time.

5. I wish I had read the reviews before I purchased this program. I was interested in holiday cards, but I was looking for Easter, Valentines Day & Halloween. I assumed holidays would include all. Not the case, very few cards for these holidays and not any sentiments for them. The selection for Christmas cards looks to be very good if that is what you are looking for. I am disappointed and will find very little use for this program. I had a little trouble downloading the program and uninstalling was a nightmare. Had to do manually. I tried to determine by the box what holidays were included but the advertisment said pick your holiday, better info on the box would be great.

2 comments about Mackie Tracktion 3 - Project Bundle Music Production Software.

1. If you are considering buying Tracktion, take some time to read the independent Tracktion forum at KVR Audio (http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=22). You will find that many users on both Mac and PC are having extreme problems such as the MIDI editor being unusably slow, other parts of the app being incredibly slow, and the whole app just suddenly disappearing.
   
   When I tried to use Tracktion on my vanilla Win XP system, I found that the MIDI editor is basically unusable, not merely "slow." MIDI notes will not follow the cursor, so it's absurdly difficult to place them where you want them to go. I posted questions about this on Mackie's forums and got no response at all. I tried using it on my MacBook Pro and found that Tracktion is so unstable it won't run for more than a minute or two before abruptly disappearing.
   
   In the forums, this last problem is called a "poof crash" and it's mentioned often by users. There are extended threads about it. I bought Tracktion 3 not too long after it was released and I have not been able to get any work done using it at all.
   
   Shame on Mackie for releasing this severely flawed software and then leaving their customers out to dry, offering zero help or explanation. I posted repeated queries asking for some help with these problems on Mackie's own forums and was completely ignored.
   
   There are several alternative packages available for both Mac and PC that cost less and have all the features of Tracktion if not more. On the Mac, I'm finding that Logic Express, which is $50 cheaper is a very powerful alternative. For the PC, Ableton Live Light has a strong reputation.
   
   Note: even if you have Tracktion 2 and are considering an upgrade to this version, it is definitely not worth the money. I really liked Traction 2 and was really excited about all the new features promised in Traction 3. I was very disappointed to buy it, install it, and find out it's virtually unusable.
   
   I very much regret wasting my time and money on Tracktion and I urge you to avoid making the same mistake. Some users seem to be able to get it to work on their specific systems. But enough users are having major problems that buying Tracktion 3 is gamble. You can't get your money back once you've opened it, so choose something else that doesn't have a lot of reported problems.



2. I like Tracktion 2, but can't recommend Tracktion 3. It has a lot of nice features but there are timing problems that make it unusable. Everything I record comes out over 100 ms behind. This does not happen with Tracktion 2 on the same computer.
