1. I bought this to use it stand-alone. I wanted more and easier control of my DVD menus than I can get with Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0.
   
   I am VERY disappointed with my purchase. It is difficult to figure out how to do even the most basic task. The "Show Me" tutorials included with the software do indeed show how to do specific tasks, but there is no context to show how to tie these tasks into a cohesive workflow that will produce anything useful.
   
   The quick stare manual included could be printed smaller, I suppose - if it were printed on a grain of rice. It is difficult to read and just as uninformative as the tutorials.
   
   The interface is NOT intuitive. There is very little on how to use this product on the Sony website, and there is a dearth of information on any of the video editing websites that I am able to find.
   
   It is easy to install, but that will be the last easy thing a new user will do with it. I was considering adding Sony Vegas to my NLE toolbox, but if this is an example of the type of product and support Sony puts out in this arena, I am going to pass.
   
   Very disappointed.



2. This software takes some serious getting used too which will turn off most people brought up on user friendly software but as for me I find this to be an amazingly potent tool for DVD creation. If I can think it up I can probably do it. If your willing to spend a few hours tinkering with it you'll get hooked by the prospect of endless possibilities

1. On the surface, this package may seem expensive. But, in the long run, it's cheaper to buy than to purchase Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, and GoLive separately. This package not only provides those applications but you also get InDesign and the full version of Acrobat plus a whole bunch of other goodies (like stock photos).
   
   What's convenient is that there is one installer program that you can use to install all the applications at once.
   
   The only caveat is to make sure you have lots of RAM available. We hit a snag when it came time to installing because the installer program alone required more RAM than we had in our computer, which resulted in a trip to the repair shop to install more memory.

1. I have owned an earlier version of chordAlchemy by tonalAlchemy for quite some time now. I'm writing this review because as far as I'm concerned chordAlchemy is actually as good as the developer says it is. It is an extremely sophisticated piece of software that is nevertheless quite easy to use. Everything tonalAlchemy is claiming that chordAlchemy does, it actually does! And I found that when I had any problems whatsoever, I need merely send an email to the tonalAlchemy website and I would receive an accurate response quite quickly. You will find chordAlchemy to be a valuable tool no matter what your skill level is.
   
   I recommend this product without hesitation.
