  1. I PURCHASE THIS SOFTWARE FOR $19, IT'S CHEAP I CAN CREATE WEB SITE BUT WHEN PUBLISHING IS THE PROBLEM. THE EXTENSION OF THE FILE IS "VNU", INSTEAD OF HTML, OR ASP. THE BROWSER CANNOT READ THE EXTENSION "VNU", PLUS THE SUPPORT IS NONE.

  2. The other reviewer was right on the money. I bought this software, learned how to use it, (simple enough) and spent time creating a multi-page site only to discover that it is impossible to publish. I tried publishing it through the links on the software but cannot. Of course you discover this only after paying for a site host. Now I have web space and no site to put there. I can build a site using the host supplied software so why did I pay for this? I can't give this any stronger negative feedback, this company are a bunch of thieves!

  3. This is actually CoffeeCup VisualSite Designer 3.0. It is a okay sort of an editor with some okay templates. If you are innovative enough and with some knowledge of DHTML you can create a good looking functional web page. As the other reviwers said, the homepage is saved in a propreitary .vnu format. To make the pages usable, you need to publish HTML using Files->Export option that will create the HTML pages. Hope this helps someone.

  4. Like a previous review states, this was created by CoffeeCup Software. Unfortunately, this Cosmi-labeled version doesn't offer any updates/upgrades unlike the real deal (VisualSite Designer) sold by CoffeeCup. Between the two, you're better off buying the version that has already made great changes and continues to do so.

  5. This product advertises on the side of the box "edit web pages." But, be warned it does not edit web pages. Instead, all you can do is create these funky vnu files but you cannot, I repeat, cannot open existing html files and edit them. Complete waste of plastic and the unscrupulous Best Buy who I bought it from won't refund my money. Doesn't even deserve one star.

  1. I own all the Simply Magazine, Simply Media brand, craft products and like this one very much too. Very easy to use; not fancy and brittle.

Don't be put off by the low prices.

    Mary

  2. What a piece of junk. Not the least bit intuitive and the help files need help files. I've yet to be able to produce a monthly calendar. It's cheap because it's worthless.

  3. I bought this thinking that I could make a monthly wall calendar. As I look back at the description given for the product, I assumed too much. I wanted to make a calendar with pictures from my files but a monthly wall calendar- like the types sold in book stores, etc.- is not one of the options. The program is difficult to navigate and I am very computer and program literate. Very disappointed. It was easier to make a calendar like I wanted using the free templates from Microsoft and cutting and pasting my digital pictures to a Word document. Save yourself the five bucks.

  4. After playing around with it for a half hour, I decided a wasted a few dollars. It's very limited and you'll get better results from building a calendar in Microsoft office or photo editing software sometimes comes with calendar creators...check your other software before trying this!

  1. Do not buy anything from Pinnacle. Their software deceptively leads you to believe that you need to purchase further programs to burn DVDs. I did so and got incorrect activation codes twice before requesting a refund which they have refused to give even though the product does not work and meets their advertised return policy. I have filed a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission for deceptive trade policies and knowingly offering defective products.

  2. I have purchased this product one week ago and have yet been able to install it because of software errors. I have contacted tech support who have yet to provide me with a solution to this problem.
See for yourself and go to the Pinnaclesys.com website and look up support for this product.

This product is problematic and now I'm out $120.00 because you can not return opened software.

  3. I've worked with various Pinnacle Studio versions since last decade, and they've all had two things in common:

    1. When the program works, it's superb.

    2. The other 50% of the time, it crashes frequently, and hard!

For years, Pinnacle had designed the market's top, novice-affordable video editing/authoring platforms, but for some frustrating reason, they just can't seem to keep the bugs out. This verson is no exception.

Lately, the competition in this market has mushroomed, and there are better alternatives available for the same price. At last, others have emulated the Pinnacle platform while eliminating the work/creativity-killing bugs.

My advice? Shop around. Google the competition. But save yourself the frustration and steer away from anything Pinnacle.

  4. This is the worst software I've ever worked with. Since April, I've had nothing but problems with it. Every time I do their recommended "fix", it creates another problem. Tech support is a joke - I've not had one e-mail response that helped & when I went on their live support, the tech kept disconnecting me. I've also had to reformat my hard drive 4 times because of this product. To add salt to the wound, I've lost 3 months of work I did on creating a DVD for my church.

Don't even think about buying this piece of garbage. I've invested $400 in it & am sure I will have to fight Pinnacle to get a refund.

  5. My experience with Pinnacle Studio Mediasuite 10 is that it has killed two separate computers of mine that I have tried to install the software onto. It caused such a drop in performance, not just while using the program, but while using other programs as well. Blue screen errors and random lockups that even with Windows XP SP2 I had to do a hard shutdown to escape. I ended up having to do a complete hard drive recovery to finally fix the problems. I am positive that Studio is the problem because after recovering the first computer I tried to install the program onto a second computer and the blue screen errors and drop in performance started on that computer. Just like the plague of years gone by; how many computers have to die before Pinnacle comes up with a cure?! My recommendation is to avoid it like the plague.

  1. I'm not exactly a computer expert. Actually 'computer expert' and my name should probably not be used in the same sentence. When I decided I wanted to create an RSS feed for my website, I was prepared for a long and painful journey. I had seen FeedForAll mentioned in a few RSS forums, so I gave it a try. In less than one hour I had my RSS feed up and running!!!

Programs that do EXACTLY what they should, and are SIMPLE to use are sometimes hard to find. If you need an RSS feed for your website, it just doesn't get any better than FeedForAll.

  2. This software really takes the guess work out of feed creation. The software will create RSS feeds in just a few minutes. It has a built in wizard and advanced users can use extensions that support things like iTunes and MediaRSS.
I even created a podcast, and it only took a few moments.

  3. Having only learned what an RSS feed was a few weeks prior to using this software, I was amazed at how simple it was to add one to our website with FeedForAll. Now we can offer our photography specials through an RSS feed if our customers want it. I am amazed at how easy it was.

  4. Haven't used like I thought I might. I do not have enough fresh everyday content to make the most use of a rss feed. But it does work well.

  5. Very pleased with the detail, presentation and ease of use right out of the box. It does require somewhat of a "techie" background, but overall I like it. A little time consuming to create an initial feed, but once you're done the maintenance becomes very easy. The completed RSS feed be get published right on Yahoo!s Site Explorer. Of course there is always a wish list. At the top of the list would be 1) the ability to integrate XSL stylesheets; 2) generate a "Google-style" XML feed. Including these two items would make this a 5 star product. By the way I email'd a question to the web site and got a very helpful and prompt response.

  1. I had to write a review because I use it to play back music. It works and I have no complaints. My daughter has emailed a musical slide show to my sister in Utah and she thinks it's just great. We loaded in some family pictures from our recent get together and added the theme music from some CDs we had and emailed it over...so she gets to watch the family slide show we compiled. It's really wonderful. I'm still learning a little at a time on how to use all the features, but I'm getting there. It's definitely fun and interesting.

  2. I use playR jukebox XXL to play back my list of songs, like one would on their CD players, except with XXL I can add video playback or if friends are over I could hook up my digital video camera and have live input of my guests on the monitor, which could be really fun especially when you add the real-time special effects. For example I use the ghost like effect to turn everyone passing or dancing in front of the camera into ghostlike images and change the back ground room color to bright fusia. If it come down to it and someone feels like a being a real life DJ they could get on the PC and remix with cross fades and real-time effects like distortion/reverb/echo/compression. It's fun. Difficulty level isn't bad at all, if you understand the concept of remixing samples in songs. If you enjoy music and want to add a little something special to your entertainment system...this is it. :)

  3. I read an article in some magazine that jukebox or dj programs like this are getting huge. I'm a straight up club kid so I know whats up with the whole rave lifestyle and I agree. Trance and electronic music in general are booming right now and I can actually spin a mix on this program not to mention throw up some wicked videos and effects. These people know what they're doing. This is candy for the kids and clubbers!!!

  4. I purchasedPlayR jukebox XXL because I liked the idea of being able to mix my own songs. I guess that was just all bells and whistles because once I downloaded the program I was never able to get my songs from my hard drive to the playlist. I tried to check out the remix section of the program and it kept shutting down the system and told me that the program was not responding. Also, once you download the program it tells you to change the resolution of your system. I dont want to have to change my computer resolution everytime I plan on running this program, it messes up all of my desktop settings. The program is just too confusing and I plan to go back to my Musicmatch jukebox program which I have NEVER had a single problem with. I guess I was just fooled by thinking I could get something extra for the same amount of money. I guess that goes to show you that things are not as good as they always seem and if you have something that you are satisfied with you had better stick with it. As a final note, Musicmatch jukebox AUTOMATICALLY transfers my recent and new music files to run on its playlist.

  5. I have to say, that this product is not all that it is said to be. You can't download songs, it is impossible to do. The company told me "well, the sites must no longer exist" I attempted to download many different songs, with NO success. It is difficult to use as a player, as you can never get your songs into the play list. Then my software totally crashed my system, I uninstalled, and reinstalled and no matter what I do it gives me an error, and then closes the program. I have uninstalled it, and put it in the box. END OF STORY.
