- If you're a Buble' fan, or one who enjoys jazz/standards songs, this CD is a must. Great songs and arrangements.
- I love it and play it frquently in my car to work. Someone said he is the new Frank Sinatra. My mother in law agrees. Did not know he sang the song "Everything". It is played on the radio everyday. Good quality music..
- If You like Buble you'll love this one. I've got it in my car and listen constantly. It makes me smile.
- I love this CD. He is smooth, sexy, and romantic with a fun bounce. You will not be disappointed.Buy it!
- From top to bottom, this is a great CD. Every track Michael does it perfect.
I have yet to see him in concert, but should I get the chance I will. Probably one of the greatest singers (now) of our time.
He has taken off where Frank Sinatra left off.
1. "The Best Is Yet to Come" (3:05) - (Cy Coleman/Carolyn Leigh) - One of Tony Bennett's all time greatest hits and Michael does it proud.
2. "It Had Better Be Tonight" (Meglio Stasera) (3:06) - (Mancini/Mercer/Migliacci) - Henry Mancini's catchy tune from "The Pink Panther", with a cool David Foster arrangement.
3. "Me and Mrs. Jones (4:33) - (Huff/Gamble/Gilbert) - Buble has a good thing going with this track
4. "I'm Your Man" (4:59) - (Leonard Cohen) - The beast won't go to sleep, has Buble bringing it home
5. "Comin' Home Baby" (3:27) - (Dorough/Tucker) - Buble shares the stage with Boyz II Men, with a Mel Torme classic tune
6. "Lost" (3:40) - (Buble/Arden/Chang) - An original song with a relationship that Buble puts behind him with this heartfelt lyrical masterpiece
7. "Call Me Irresponsible" (3:16) - (Cahn/Van Heusen) - Big hit for Jack Jones but move over, Buble is taking this one on and filling those big shoes nicely
8. "Wonderful Tonight" (4:12) - (Eric Clapton) - (duet with Ivan Lins) - And then she asks Buble and Lins, Do I look alright ... they reply we feel wonderful cause we see the love light in your eyes
9. "Everything" (3:33) - (Buble/Change/Amy Foster Gilles) - a Buble original sets this album apart from the rest, youe every song, and I sing along cause you're my everything
10. "I've Got the World on a String" (2:47) - (Arlen/Koehler) - Lifes a wonderful thing as long as I hold that string
11. "Always on My Mind" (4:30) - (James/Thompson/Christopher) - Girl I'm so sorry I was blind, you were always on my mind
12. "That's Life" (4:15) - (Gordon/Thompson) - Many times I thought of cutting out, but my heart won't buy it
13. "Dream" (5:05) - (Johnny Mercer) - Doesn't get any better with one of my all time favorite songwriters and his classic 1944 tune, with the best arranger on the planet Johnny Mandel

- The sound on some songs is not high quality. Overall a good buy after all it's Sinatra..
- As a person in my early twenties, Sinatra is not the music typically associated with my age group. The album is, however, fantastic regardless of one's age and makes me happy every time I listen to it. It is extremely enjoyable and clear album.
- This is my first Frank Sinatra CD; it's got all of the very best Frank you could ever want! Because the songs are all classics, it was easy for everyone to sing along. This would be the one to buy if you don't currently have any Frank!
- I have several Sinatra CD's, and I have to say that this one OUT-DOES all the others I have. The collection of his best songs, from the younger years, to his older years, are by far out of this world! For those who love Frank Sinatra, and his world famous music, I recommend this cd! This CD has everything you need to have a romantic evening with your loved one, or just to listen to while relaxing reading a book, or laying in bed!
- Well, it is Frank Sinatra with all of his best hits (though not all of his songs)! What else can I say? You certainly can't satisfy all the complains here about the covering of Sinatra's songs but the list is as good as it can be. If you already have Sinatra, then probably no need to buy this but then this CD is solid as a gift for anyone for almost any occasion. If you don't own Sinatra yet, this is the one to own.

- Michael Feinstein has taken some wonderful old standards originally recorded by Frank Sinatra, and a couple that were written for him but not recorded, and rendered them memorably. His enunciation and phrasing are outstanding, he has a gentle voice, tender in the romantic songs, strong where it needs to be, but melodic. He does not belt out his songs. What a relief. This is truly enjoyable listening, and may he do more of it in this style.
- feinstein not only delivers but proves he is not a contender but has set the bar for other performers. very good choice of songs.awesome vocal delivery . i am looking forward to his next album!! Thanks,Michael !
- The problem with any of these kind of albums is that the reason Sinatra was what he was no one else can match him. The same with Clooney or Peggy Lee. I like Feinstein a lot but he should just do his own thing.
- I like Frank Sinatra's music. I like Michael Feinstein, too. So when I heard his ideas for The Sinatra Project, I was curious what would result. I like the result. What Feinstein does with the songs renders them fresh and very, very listenable. Sinatra might have sung these songs, but Feinstein makes them his own with his interpretations. Sinatra would have been proud of Feinstein's phrasing and interpretations. He has great command of his voice.
- I like Michael Feinstein, he has a great voice but can't deliver a song anywhere near Sinatra. I know this is supposed to be a creative concept album based on Sinatra tunes, but I found it boring..unfortunately. Not one I would rush to play again and again. Feinstein has made some great albums and some very uninteresting ones. This was more the latter.

- I had the CD and loved it. Found it here and sent it on to my old love.
- Michael Buble's remakes of various songs have invariably been successful. This CD is no exception. I highly recommend purchasing it.
- Great CD by a great artist. I can't say anything bad about this CD.
- With so many reviews I am basically doing this to be able to rate the CD, which I gave five stars to. My sister had made me aware of a Sunday morning show hosted by Charles Osgood called Sunday Morning which usually features a singer or group each week. One Sunday it was Michael Buble and I decided I liked his style. I am not a Frank Sinatra fan, nor a Dean Martin, Paul Anka or Perry Como. I am a recent Guy Lombardo fan who awoke in me an interest in big band music which is a definite change of pace from the guitars, banjos and fiddles used in my favorite types of music -- folk and bluegrass. I was and always will be a Beatles' fan, so I chose this one for Can't Buy Me Love. I did recognize You Don't Know Me, Save the Last Dance For Me, and How Sweet It is. I played the disk and just let myself be enveloped in the sounds from trumpets and saxophones. What struck me from the start was how much it reminded me of the end song in the DVD Finding Nemo called Beyond the Sea with the feel of a lounge song. I enjoyed Buble's singing though I would not be able to compare it to similar style musicians as I don't listen to them. The tempo was soothing and exciting at the same time, and liked that he hadn't changed the sounds of the selections I was familiar with. Whether I will buy another of his CDs or not, I am very pleased with It's Time.
- The music on this cd has made me a #1 fan of Michael Buble. His satin-smooth voice and great choice of songs make this cd a must-have for any music lover!

5 comments about The Cole Porter Mix.
- If any more proof were needed of the timelessness of Cole Porter's sublime melodies and sophisticated lyrics, then this atmospheric new release by Patricia Barber is it.
Cole Porter was famously touchy about singers embellishing his melodies or altering his lyrics in any way, so there is a slight frisson of the forbidden about the various "liberties" the singer/pianist Patricia Barber takes with some of his songs on this, an album mixing three of her own songs into a programme that contains ten of Porter's.
She doesn't have the most appealing voice, but there's a seductiveness about her sultry stylings of such classics as 'C'est Magnifique', with a suitably French treatment complete with melodica, "I Concentrate on You" with its languorous beat.
On "You're the Top", for instance, she gives updated lyrics mentioning the late Princess of Wales, and "I Get a Kick Out of You" is reharmonised, seriously changing its tone.
It is thus paying a serious compliment to Barber to acknowledge that such changes work well in the context of an album which, while it might not please those who consider Ella Fitgerald's versions of Porter definitive, is nonetheless intriguing and absorbing for that.
Her long-time associate guitarist Neal Alger makes telling contributions throughout (his playing on "Get Out of Town" in particular bringing what Barber calls dark, 'lonely-town sounds' to what is, after all, a desperate plea) and saxophonist Chris Potter is scrabblingly urgent when he's involved.
But it is Barber herself, whether as composer of the three intense originals judiciously interspersed with the Porter material, or as lucid and imaginative pianist, or as intelligent and emotive vocal interpreter of songs that are perhaps often approached over-reverently because of the (understandable and deserved) respect listeners have for the Fitzgerald Songbook versions, who richly deserves the plaudits for this classy, thoughtful, fascinating album.
As said before, the album also included is a trio of original songs (by Barber), which could easily be mistaken for Porter numbers.
My highlights: "Easy To Love", "C'est Magnifique" and "You're The Top".
Have a pleasant, intelligent listening experience.
Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Cole Porter Songbook, Vol. 2
Sings Cole Porter
Mythologies
- Despite the inclusion of accomplished musicians, the approach to the singing is affected and disconnected. To my ears, it's all self-conscious performance and fake emotion. Why take on Porter if you're not going to deliver the lyric with real, distilled feeling? This music speaks for itself. It doesn't need any attempt at drama, no matter how laid back. Kind of a Jane Monheit-type delivery. All hype, no gut.
- Patricia Barber's boxing matching match with sentimentality continues
in this nearly perfect interpretation of Cole Porter classics. She counter-
punches his exuberance with dry wit and brings fun to his cycnicism.
Never has "You're the Top" been so carefree. "Get Outta Town" echoes
Barber's own "Ya Gotta Go Home", the piano mocking the lyrics and the
subject as well.
No one else seems capable of this kind of intelligent, funny, honest
work. Surely no one does it better.
- Patricia Barber's recordings are of such superb quality that one doesn't expect her to get better, yet she does. A songwriter of the highest caliber, superb pianist and amazing singer who is just scary, genius-level smart.
Many delights here: great versions of Cole Porter, of course. Originals that more than hold their own (the gorgeous eroticism of "Snow" is itself worth the cost of the CD). Chris Potter's unbelievable solos. Perhaps most inspiring, her wonderful band that has been with her for years keeps getting better; guitarist Neal Alger in particular seems to have taken a giant leap forward from his already very high level of play.
Great stuff!
- Naming her a Living American Icon may seem over the top, but then Patricia the musician, the pianist (classically trained and street derived), the songwriter, and not least either(!) a singer carving out mature complex richness, then after listening to her, you are over the top.
Great stuff from a great artist. Love her while she's living.

- I know I'm a bit behind buying this album now when its been out for a few years, but I own the two newest albums and LOVE them. I have to say that this album did not disappoint me one bit. I think I like it even more than his most recent albums. The songs are so romantic and sexy. If you are a Michael Buble fan and don't have this one yet, do yourself a big favor and buy it!
- Michael Buble is one of the most talented artist of our time. A reincarnated Frank Sinatra - even better. Every track on this CD is wonderful.
- for discovering such an amazing talent. Next time he's got to sing something by Michael Bolton or Kenny Loggins (and more original stuff)
- I didn't like this album as much as his last one. But what woman doesn't like Michael Buble? It was still good.
- This was my first and favorite CD of Michael Buble's and I bought one for each of my sisters! Get it!

5 comments about Let It Snow.
- Michael Buble's style puts a smile on my face. While this EP (extended play -- shorter than a full-length CD) may not be as complete as Josh Groban's delightful Noel, this swings sweetly. The opener "Let It Snow..." swings with a peppy beat. Mel Torme's classic "The Christmas Song" wears well here with Michael's rendition. David Foster's "Grown Up Christmas List" that Natalie Cole first brought to my attention is a lovely melody which Michael polishes into my favorite track on this set, "No more lives torn apart, that wars would never start & time would heal all hearts." "I'll Be Home for Christmas is slow & sentimental." "White Christmas" concludes the set of studio recordings with an easy groove & Buble's voice soft & luscious. This is a sweet holiday set that whets our appetites for a longer recording. Enjoy!
- I like this CD a lot - the music is very nice - but the CD is over almost before I realize it's playing. I would like a much longer version!
- I love the CD, but there are only 6 tracks. With the multitude of Christmas songs to choose from, it should have been much more.
- Michael is THE crooner for this millennium. If you love Christmas music, you will love these renditions of classic holiday fare. Immerse yourself in this music and let the holiday stress melt away.
- This CD is another indication that Mr. Buble is here to stay. His rendition of "I'll Be Home For Christmas" would touch the soul of the most hardened Scrooge. Michael Buble's style reminds one of Frank Sinatra with one difference: the quality of his voice is ten times better. My only complaint with this CD is that it is all too short. I would have enjoyed six more songs in this brilliant artist's voice.

- Nights in Rodanthe Soundtrack: When I received an email that included the trailer for the movie, I watched it, and loved the music that was playing in the background of the video. Thinking it was included in the movie soundtrack, I ordered the CD. I enjoy the music on the CD, especially the Emmy Lou Harris song, but the music that was used as background to the video trailer is NOT ON THE CD. I've looked and looked and can't find it anywhere. The song starts out "I never thought that I could ever . . ." and the phrase "everything will change" is repeated. Does anyone know who performs this song, why it wasn't included in the soundtrack recording, and where I can buy it?? Please respond to jjamros@msn.com. Thank you.
- Great overall album collection in addition to a beautiful new song from Emmylou Harris - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

- I have all of his CDs - this one is just as good as the others.
- Not as good as previous albums. Maybe tunes not a good match for him.
- Steve Tyrell's Back To Bacharach is a great addition to his collection of beautifully arranged and orchestrated vocal recordings. If you like his previous CD's, you'll love this new direction he's taken on this recording!
- If you are a fan of Steve Tyrell's sound and like Bacharach tunes, you'll like this one. They go well together!
- Of all the CDs I have, and I have a lot - from old to new, rock to slow jazz, this is my all time favorite. Every song is wonderful. It takes me back to the 60s and the music I loved. I sing every word, with every song. It's THE BEST!

5 comments about Classic Sinatra: His Greatest Performances 1953-1960.
- MY DAD JUST LOVED FRANK SINATRA. FOR FATHERS DAY I HAD BOUGHT HIM THIS CD AND A FEW OTHERS. HE REALLY ENJOYED IT.
I NOW, ENJOY HIS CD'S AND REMEMBER HIM SINGING ALONG TO HIS FAVORITE SONGS.
- I am a huge fan of Frank sinatra and recommend this Cd to everyone who is a fan.
- THIS WAS A BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR MY 91 YEAR OLD DAD.
WHAT ELSE CAN I SAY?
- Look at that mug! Is that the face that launched a thousand hot rods and toppled the towers of Vegas?
Don't mind me, folks. I'm the guy who gave negative reviews to the Da Vinci Code, Glen Gould, 300, and the King James Bible. I'm either a kneejerk liberal or a rabid right-winger, depending on which you execrate most. But the proof of what a whacko I must be is that I can't stand Frank Sinatra. I have been known to drop milk bottles and rush out of supermarkets when the oily sound of his voice comes over the speakers. I once grabbed a casette of Sinatra out of the hands of the captain of a Portuguese freighter sailing from Newark to Lisbon, and tossed the accursed thing into the Atlantic. The captain literally had the power to make me walk the plank, but he'd played Frankie three times in a row! There are limits!
Sinatra could sing in tune most of the time, which put him a step closer to music than Tony Bennett, but whoever got the notion of calling him a jazz singer? Where's the jazz phrasing? Where are the blues, the soul, the deep dregs of life? You wanna hear jazz singing, listen to Chet Baker or Billie Holliday, or even Mel Torme! Sinatra was a pop singer, and no number of Playboy subscribers could vote him into jazz.
So if he wasn't a singer, what was he? An image. A vicarious trip into arrogant nastiness. The bad boy someone's mama was afraid she'd be attracted to. Lord, if You promise me that there'll be no Sinatra on the sound systems of Heaven, I'll reform my agnostic ways and rejoin my church choir.
Now let's see how many "unhelpful" votes one review can get in a day.
- I love this cd but my husband would rather it had a few more hit songs.
