  1. Tsunami Bomb rocks. I love their music, the beats and vocals are awesome. If you are info punk, rock, alternative, or indie you need to listed to this band. Just listed to 20 going on... which is on Ultimate Escape.

I wish this band was still together.

  2. This cd rocks and i had the pleasure of meeting Agent M in 2001 when Tsunami Bomb was opening up for The Living End. I also saw them play at Gilman St. in 2000 and i bought this cd after that performance. The only thing that is missing is the song "Obligation" that doesn't really fit with this album but it rocks pretty hard. They have since drastically changed their sound which is ok but this album is their best.

  3. This cd was pretty good. Although I feel cds with less than 10 songs shouldn't be released I bought it anyway. The first song on this cd is what you would expect from the artwork on the cd. I would have to say the best song on the cd is "not forever" because I heard another version of lemonade that was better than the one on this cd which left me somewhat dissapointed after getting this cd. having said that "lemonade" and "marionette" are the other songs on the cd which are of really good quality. People who really like this group will say they enjoy the invasion from within and no ones looking. Because most of the songs on the cd are at the very least acceptable I can see this cd selling well.

  4. Let me first say that music like this normally isn't my thing. I pretty much just listen to melodic death metal. Well my girlfriend had this cd and everytime we took a drive she played the album. At first I was like what is this happy jumpy music. Than after a while this album stuck on me and I couldn't believe it. Their is just something about this band that I love. Anyways, out of all the punk bands that are out right now Tsunami Bomb are in a league of their own. I love Lemonade. If my friends catch me listening to this oh oh!!! LOL

  5. this CD is unbelievably addictive. it may only have 6 songs on it, but all 6 of them are crammed with awesome music. agent m has such a beautiful voice, and it really shines on this album.. the songs are catchy, and they easily get stuck in your head, but its a good thing. my favorite songs are "no ones looking", "lemonade", and the title track. the ultimate escape is also a really good album. get em both. tsunami bomb is rockin.

  1. Influence means nothing really, even though it's a cool factor. But for Fishbone, but that's a good thing, because the funk and ska inspired styles incoroparted into the rock layed a blueprint for all the funk inspired rap bands, including RATM (sort of), but mostly The Red Hot Chili Peppers and of course, 311 (There's plenty more, but those stand out to me). The band formed in 1979, but only played their style of music (which was always ska and funk mixed in with rock) at live shows. IN reality, they were one of the first bands to do this, so a lot of bands like Sublime, No Doubt, and more, have a link to Fishbone. More of the masses got a hold of fishbone later in the 80's, so it's little knowledge, and I am not even sure. IT's hard to know, but nevertheless, Fishbone influenced all kinds of bands. (Their first offical album was released in 1985), Both playing and style; P-nut (311) and Trever Dunn (Mr. Bungle) both say JOhn Norwood Fisher has influenced them, P-Nut in particular looks up to him.

______ that, but the music is great anyway. Truth and Soul may be considered an alternative band, but their sound is way diverse than nerdvana. Here's a quick rundown

Freddie's Dead-Not to funky, but's it got some of it. Remake of the Curtis Mayfield song from the 70's.
Ma and Pa-song about divorce. THis one is most definitly influenced by funk/ska.
Question Of Life-A funky song, it's got plenty of trumpets.
Pouring Rain-more of a slower ballad, one of the weakest on the album
Deep Inside-more of a punk song
Might Long Way-mostly a funky hard rock song.
Bonin' In The Boneyard-Cool party song!!!!!!!!! BOYEEEEEE!!!!!!!! (HAHAHA No) It's got plenty of funk in it, and the notable parts are the horns and the bass solos in the middle, just a couple of cheesy yeah-yeah-yeah's (*shudder*).
One Day-Not sure how to describe this song.
    Subliminal Fascination-another punk song
Slow Bus Movin'-Some person called it cowpunk, though I am not sure. Whatever it is, it has some country in it.
Ghetto Soundwave-Sort of like Question Of Life, just not AS good.
Change-And acoustic song, but with Fishbone you never know. IT's got a lot of soul in it, and shows that Angelo Moore is pretty versatile (unlike Anthony from the RHCP)

This was definitly very impressive, this band has diversity in them, especially Angelo Moore's crazy as _____ divserve style of vocals. Reccomend to anybody who likes alternative rock.

    9.0/10

  2. Hey I like the Red Hot Chilis as much as anyone else but this band were just as good if not better than them so why are they not up there with them or even at least get 5 minutes of fame like No Doubt? I read on black punks website one of there members did suggest a reason and hey, it doesn't take a genius to work out (It was only really Living Colour back in the day who made it big)

Have to say though while latter day Red Hot Chilis have their own style and play it well back a few years and they were just plain average, before Mothers Milk this band blew them away. Fishbone knew how to mix funk, ska, punk and just about everything else and make is come out sounding sweet. Even gave us the added bonus of lyrics that actually meant something (unlike early Chilis)

You really need to buy this one, check out 24/7 Spyz as well.

  3. This is the mega nut of supreme positive potency, it'll take you a Mighty Long Way from where you started out from in your day-to-day! Energetic and uplifting and crazy. Also soulful and serious. If you like this then try the Chili Peppers' first few albums, and Fishbone's first release, the self-titled E.P. TAKE ME AWAY, SPECIAL K!

  4. is fishbone the great undiscovered band of the 1980s/early 90s?

this band is so good on so many fronts that it's criminal they are not a household name. this album, in my view, is their best. they should be revered with the likes of the replacements, the red hot chili peppers and husker du.

few bands have so successfully mixed intelligence, raw punk-funk energy, great musicianship and soul, without ever being pretentious. i saw them live several times and those shows stand out as among the most raw & powerful I ever saw, as good as red hot chilis (but clothed).

how do you categorize this band? Ska? Funk? Soul? Protest music? Punk? Who cares! It's all there in this disc from the brilliant cover of "Freddie's Dead" to the punk of "subliminal fascism" to the hilarity of "bonin' in the boneyard" to positive protest power of "change."

  5. Some may not agree, but I call this easily their best album. It should have made them huge. "Truth And Soul" is a wonderful mesh of funk/ska/rock/punk, and usually gets me jumping around the living room. Great lyrics too. Few songs have the energy that "Ma And Pa", "Bonin' In The Boneyard", and "One Day" do. This album is also a must for fans of the old movie "Tapeheads", as this includes "Slow Bus Movin' (Howard Beach Party)" which the soundtrack missed. But it's not all horn-blowing and bass-slapping. "Change" is a beautiful song played on acoustic guitar, that's about making the world a better place for all. Any fan of older Chili Peppers or Bosstones needs to hear this.

5 comments about Too Much Stereo.

  1. My favorite from the Urge, this one is much more mellow & different than the others. But by far the best! Front man Steve Ewing has awesome vocals that really shine through on this album.

  2. There aren't any bad songs on this album, but there are no really great ones either. It tends to just fade into the background, never coming to life and grabbing your attention like the Urge does at their best. "Receiving the Gift of Flavor" and "Master of Styles" are much more compelling albums.

  3. I have to say that I really enjoy The Urge, that music has a great upbeat feel to it and it can always lift my spirits. I first heard about them actually from the CD sampler that came with Korn's - Follow The Leader. The song was "Straight to Hell" from Master of Styles. I quickly went out and bought the release, although the cd was quite a bit different than that single track, that was in no way a bad thing. I downloaded various songs off of their other two albums and eventually bought them off Amazon for like $2 a piece and I can say that it was worth every penny and a lot more.

I actually like this CD the best out of all 3, with Master of Styles coming in second. At first I liked Receiving the Gift of Flavor a lot, but its feel kind of lost its effect on me after a while. Here's a breakdown of the songs on TMS and what I think:

    1. What is this - This is a great intro to an album, great lyrics and I love the sound of the bass. Very catchy chorus. 10/10

    2. Too Much Stereo - An instant single, again amazing lyrics, you can tell that these guys have fun with the music they play 9/10

    3. What Do They Know - A solid song, a little different from the rest musically but it works very well. But not one of my favorites 7/10

    4. Four Letters And Two Words - This is my favorite track on the disc and actually why I bought it, this is a beautiful song that also rocks.. what more could you want? 11/10

    5. Liar, Liar - Very catchy tune and chorus, this song keeps the momentum up. 8/10

    6. I Go Home - This is the first "real" slow song but has great lyrics and a nice feel to it, I like it better than track 7 9/10

    7. Say A Prayer - This is another slow song and winds down a bit, and although I like it, I think it wasn't put in the right place of the CD 8/10

    8. Welcome to Gunville - You can't NOT like this song! The lyrics are amazing, the double meanings and the rhymes and the vocals and music are amazing. If this wasn't a single it should have been, 2nd favorite on disc! 10/10

    9. Living on the Surface - Again, awesome bass and pretty decent vocals, but this song is lacking something, can't really place it though 7/10

    10. Push on Like Flinstone - I have to admit when I first heard this song I didn't like it a whole lot but it grew on me, not one of the best but good 8/10

    11. Warning, Warning - Although this is a somewhat short and slow song I think it's a good way to wind down the album. Has a really funky feel to it 9/10

All in all a great album and worth more than the Amazon used price.

  4. I typically only bother to write reviews when I find a gem. This is no exception. "Master of Style" is a GOOD album; a large portion of "Gift of Flavor" I found to be rather clumsy fumbling. NEVER on "Too Much Stereo". I have a fairly eclectic taste in music, from classical to indy rock, from jazz to industrial metal. Pretty much anything except country and rap shows up in my collection.

Here we have a truly wondeful album. EVERY song is solid and listenable. There are very few albums one can listen through and not find ONE track where you think, "*sigh*, when will this be over so we can get back to the good stuff?" Well, not only does this album sport that special property, but MOST of the songs are EXCELLENT. I don't just spin up the disc wanting to hear 1 or 2 of the best songs; 9 of the 11 tracks are fantastic. Though, I must admit that the sonorous and melodic lead-in to track 3, "What Do They Know", is particularly addictive.

The most difficult part of this review is to compare this album with other discs. If there exists a distinctive genre to which The Urge belongs, I'm not familiar with it. In some ways, they're Ska. In others, indy rock. Though it is a rather vague point of reference, this album is among my all-time top-N along with albums like "The Bends" and "Hail to the Theif" by Radiohead (well, OK, pretty much all of the Radiohead albums), "Chutes Too Narrow" by The Shins, "Electric Version" by New Pornographers, "Welcome Interstate Managers" by Fountains of Wayne, "Undertow" by Tool, "100th Window" by Massive Attack, and (perhaps strangely), "Wolverine Blues" by Entombed. (OK... placing it in that context probably just confused matters.)

If you like GOOD music - meaning, good tunes, clever beats, addictive riffs - buy it, give it a spin. You're almost certain to fall in love. If you liked the previous Urge albums, then you MUST buy this album - you already love it!

  5. Not a bad cd. "What is This" and the title track "Too Much Stereo" are poppy and upbeat, while "Say a Prayer" brings in the softer acoustic side of the Urge with an odd beat which just makes the song strange and fun. This eclectic band even uses a baritone guitar on "What do they know." By far the best song on the cd is "Push on Like Flintstone" which has an amazing hard rock guitar riff on the end of it. Overall not a bad cd, but with lackluster tracks like "liar liar" show the band still has ways to go before they change their style completely from their old harder ways.

  1. This band is so good and I am so sad that they broke up but when it is time it is time. But this CD has some great tracks on it and it is a must buy for any Five Iron Frenzy fans.

  2. Anything by FIF is worth buying. My husband and I are huge fans and went to 2 concerts before they "retired". We miss them and enjoy their style of music. It's so lively. It makes you want to jump around the house!! We're in our mid to late 30's and we agree that they are truly our favorite band!!

  3. I borrowed this album off a friend who played a few tracks for me. I mostly hung around the opera bit which are hilarious! But then I started actualy listening to the songs. Every song on this album is fantastic! They are all in my favorites but this is my order.

#1 All That Is Good, it took time for this album to sink in as my favorite.

#2 Dandelions, this was my favorite but it got old after about 10,000 listens.

#3 Sweet Talkin Woman, brilliant cover of ELO's masterpiece

#4 The Untimely Death Of Brad, realy strange lyrics, and afterwards leavs you bewildered, the way i like it :-).

#5 One Girl Army - this is a good song, it's just overshadowed by Dandelions.

#6 Get Your Riot Gear - this track has a very swing style of music, i loved it at first but now is dated.

Amazing cd, why four stars? Well it's a shame that the number of tracks that actualy had effort put into them are few. but the opera, "When I Go Out," and the Kingdom of the Dinosours are Hilarious. This the perfect FIF newcomer album.

  4. This is definitely their best album, so if you like ska or are intrigued with the idea, this is a great buy.

  5. It took Five Iron a while to figure out how to make good studio recordings, but I think this album is where they finally get it right. The energy and excitement from their live shows makes a strong showing on this album, with only a little studio degredation. Besides just being an excellent recording, some of FIF's best songs are on this album, namely One Girl Army, Dandelions, and Get Your Riot Gear. Overall, it's just an EP, but you get alot for your buck here: Good ska and a Christian band that gets it right. If you're new to FIF this is the place to start.

5 comments about The Return of the Aquabats!.

  1. Well I picked this cd up last after all of the other three aquabats albums, and I was very surprised. The sound made me want to get up and dance. This cd is very short and more of a ska dance feel, it's classic. Many people disagree when I say this cd is there best, there are only ten songs but Playdough and CD Repo Man are so good plus the fact that Idiot Box and Martian Girl are originally from this cd makes them even more fun to listen to, this cd is essential for Aquabats fans and a ska fan.

Playdough- So catchy! Better than Super Rad. 10/10
Martian Girl- Long, 2nd best song about a Martian. 7/10
Ska Robot Army- A great song! Makes me want to party. 7/10
Idiot Box- Excellent. Slower than the remake but still great.8/10
Pinch & Roll- Wow! Hilarious and a good ska raggae feel. 9/10
Tarantula- A little repetitive but still funny and decent. 7/10
Marshmellow Man- Another great song, sound like the Toasters.8/10
Aquabat March- The only track I occasionaly skip, still ok. 5/10
CD Repo Man- Best on the cd, one of the best Aquabats songs.10/10
It's Crazy,Man! Another great song on the cd, fast and fun. 9/10

As you will see all of these songs on the cd are very high rated with one exception. You probably think I'm just rating these songs high because I just like the Aquabats, well if you don't beleive me then check my other review for the Fury Of the Aquabats or just buy the cd, trust me it's there best.

  2. Everyone's favorite ska superheroes burst onto the scene with this debut album and it's obvious from the start that they are one of a kind. The album offers up 10 ridiculously catchy ska anthems about, well, basically nothing, but who cares? With songs as infectiously silly as "Pinch And Roll," who needs deep meaning? This is a great CD, but it pales in comparison to their second work, "Fury Of The Aquabats," which contains revised versions of a few of the best songs here. But for fans of the Aquabats, this is a classic CD.

  3. As always, The Aquabats have a style unlike any others. They have an excellent sense of humor and don't take themselves too seriously. Their songs themselves are also very catchy.

  4. I love this CD... it is really the best ska cd to have been released in a really long time... NOt only does the music rock, but the bats themselves are super rad.. I met most of them at a concert, along with aaron brackett of reel big fish, but anyways umm for the people who like the bats I suggest you visit their cool website... and become an Aquacadet!!!! its very cool.... oh and this cd has all the classics like martain girl, playdough (which is the best song on the album) Cd Repo Man, Tarantula, just a lot of great songs.... The Bats also do the themesong for a new show on cartoon network, but I forgot the name... All in all I highly recomend this cd and every other cd buy this group... They are the greatest Band EVER!!!!...

  5. This CD is GREAT. A friend of mine, Stevie, suggested this CD, because she told me it was her favorite band. I never even heard of the band before that. NOW It's my new favorite band. It consists of a unique type of music. I can only describe it as, maybe ska, punk, and some comedy. But, really it's neither, because it's better! TRY IT! I GUARANTEE YOU, YOU WILL LOVE IT!

5 comments about Pay Attention.

  1. My opinion of Pay Attention has changed over the years. I used to think it had too many songs, with ideas spread too thin. Now, I really admire Pay Attention for the same reason.

Although this is not a groundbreaking CD, it does have moments of diversity: there is Latin-influenced ska (She Just Happened), heavy ska (Let Me Be), a pop rewrite of Impression That I Get (So Sad To Say), frantic Mariachi-like intensity (Riot on Broad Street), moderate swing (Bad News and Bad Breaks) and a socially-aware nod to the Columbine shootings (High School Dance).

Simply put, you cannot go wrong with Pay Attention because there is much to indulge in. Since it was not ruined by radio, it has yet to grow stale on me. It honestly is one of their more strong and overall consistent albums.

  2. So okay, this cd is a bit more mellow as far as the Bosstones type of music is concerned- but it doesn't mean it's bad! When I'm in a melancholy mood, I can continue my Mighty Mighty Bosstones playlist with this cd.
There are only a couple of bad songs...'High School Dance' is just okay and the songs 'All Things Considered', 'So Sad To Say' and 'Allow Them' seem to all sound around the same...but each one is still enjoyable. Besides those four songs (and please remember- they are STILL good songs), let's see what songs I can think of at the top of my head that are just fantastic: The Skeleton Song (absolutely amazing!), Temporary Trip (a fun, fast-paced song with a driving chorus), Bad News and Bad Breaks, Where You Come From, The Day He Didn't Die (this cd is worth it alone for THIS song), Finally, She Just Happened- this cd is wonderful. Sure, it may not be like any of the other bosstones's albums...but let me tell you- that doesn't mean it's not good. And 'good' is an understatement...this cd is amazing.

  3. Wow! Lyrically this has to be one of the best CDs ever written. This album is full of morals about everyday life and it gives off a very positive message to the listener as well. I was going through some pretty tough times and I happened to stumble across this CD in my storage unit and figured that I haven't heard it in a while so why not. I took a long car ride and listened to the whole album all the way through and really learned a lot. I have to say, in all honesty, this album really gave me a whole different outlook on life and it really lifted my spirits.

Musically, this album is very upbeat, like everything else the Bosstones have ever done but at the same time it is probably the most mellow CD that they have ever put out. I feel that Dicky's voice was slighty over produced on this one, I prefer the harshness of his voice due to the fact that I usually listen to metal, hardcore, and screamo.

I also figured that once Nate Albert departed that it would be near impossible to find a guitarist that could even come close to his unique style and they did. Lawerence Katz is amazing, a very good addition to the band.

Overall, I think this is by far the best Bosstones album ever recorded and Dicky's song writing really shows how much he has matured by giving up the whole partying frat boy image. Good work guys!

    Kris

  4. I don't have the slightest idea what the Amazon reviewer is talking about. To put it simply, if you're a Bosstones fan, or even just a fan of Ska, buy this album, you'll love it.

if you thought that Ska was what 'No Doubt' was, then yeah, you probably won't appreciate it, move on to the next trend...

  5. The day he didnt die. This song is so good i would pay some one full price for this album if it was thee only song that played. Dont get me wrong, the other songs on this cd are good too. a must own cd

5 comments about Don't Know How to Party.

  1. Like one of the other reviewers, I bought this album about six years ago, and even though I'm now something of a diehard metalhead, Don't Know How to Party still gets frequent plays in the cd player. This is where The Bosstones most effectively mixed Hardcore music and Ska (their most ska-core record). The tracks range from wondering love songs, tributes to the fans, anti religion rants to pure society hating anthems. Every member here contributes exceptionally, especially Albert and Barrett. The guitar playing is flawless, and this is also probably Barrett's best vocal performance.

When the 20th Century Masters collection thing came out, I thought to myself, "They should have just re-released Don't Know How to Party," especially since some of the tracks on that "best of" cd could be considered questionable at best.

This is, without a doubt, The Bosstones best studio album followed closely by Question the Answers (which only suffers due to a harsh production which I assume was intentional). Pick this album up and enjoy a piece of history.

  2. I have everything ever recorded by the Bosstones and in my humble opinion, this is their greatest album. This album has a power and momentum on it that is not found in any of their other brilliant albums. I have to admit, I am somewhat shocked that this album does not have a five star average, I just assumed that everybody else would say it was thier favorite as well. Not one bad song on this CD and I would be hard pressed to pick fewer than eight songs off this CD to put on a Bosstones Greatest Hits album. Bring this thing to party and watch the place go nuts!

  3. This album is a CLASSIC. I'd even rate it as one of the top 50 albums of the nineties--easily (if not in the top 20). I still remember when this first came out--everyone complained of it's hard-rock/metal sound (mostly insular rude boys/girls, who in reality were musical elitists), but to me it was brilliant. Nate Albert is amazing in mixing so many different styles of guitar playing into one. The lyrics are great and the song-writing is great. BUY THIS ALBUM!

  4. I'm a huge BossTone's fan and this was the last one to buy for my collection but I was VERY DISAPPOINTED! No wonder the used copies are dirt-cheap. Very little ska influence in this one :(

  5. This is one of the best albums I own. If this did not have "A man without" and "What was was over," it would be a perfect cd. Songs like "Don't know how to party," "Holy smoke," and "Anything goes" show just how incredible the Bosstones are. This cd is absolutely phenomenal. The horn section is really tight, Nate's inventive guitar playing is obvious, and Dicky's voice is at a pefect growl. Buy this, you couldn't possibly regret it.

  1. Maybe the greatest ska album ever: and you don't have to sacrifice your intellect. It's in turns fun, silly, irreverent, political, honest, raw, and the level of musicianship is very high (pun intended) with rich female vocals. A landmark. Get their next album: Celebrate the Bullet and also the other great Tutone band's releases Specials and More Specials

  2. W/o getting too technical, this is the shizzy natty nit.
I love Rock n' Roll. In all it's many incarnations!
That said...to me, ska was always associated with horrible twittering things like The Mighty Mighty Bosstones pudgey horn section or No Doubt or (god forbid) Sublime, where some dead suburban rednex goes in a faux Jamacain accent for drunk frat sing along meltdowns. It was always a inconsequencial wonder where Reggae could've gone so wrong in it's rock baby. -Until I stumbled across this revalation of place and time and rythm and scene. I never thought about it, because I never cared about that "style" of music, but it really makes perfect sense. Bob Marley, Toots and the Maytails, all that big Jamacain sounds folks love. Ramones/Sex Pistols, the growl of Patti Smith's "Redondo Beach" or some New York New Wave Blondie/Talking Heads badfun stuff. It's London, It's the late 70's, some black Jamacain Brit kids are making the music for the times and damn it's as good as sound can sound, believe that!!
If you like Wire, or Bad Brains...
Every Single Song on this album is easily brilliant. This is the kind of rock that is so rare that people should staple it to thier bodies and wear it instead of gold and diamonds. We live in a sick world where a guy like me who's damn near heard it all hadn't heard this until just recently. I'm not trying to deduct cool points from myself, I'm just trying to give you some- if you cant make up your mind wether to get a copy of this or not, you'd better just get it and jive out.

  3. The Selecter's "Too Much Pressure" is the single most overlooked album of the U.K. ska revival, and in my opinion, the most overlooked album of the late-70s/early-80s.

Fans of the short-lived U.K. ska revival are probably familiar with The Selecter, but unfortunately most don't own "Too Much Pressure". It was out of print until 2002, and then only released on a small indie label in the U.K.

The album was originally released in 1980, following a few key singles, on the then fledgling 2-Tone label. Those early singles - "The Selecter", "On My Radio" and "Too Much Pressure" - are included as bonus tracks on this reissue.

Like other 2-Tone bands, The Selecter is indebted to early Jamaican ska, specifically Duke Reid and Prince Buster productions, as well as late seventies U.K. punk. The Selecter is rooted in rock steady and reggae rhythms as well, which aligns them more closely with The English Beat than The Specials or Madness (all label-mates.)

What makes The Selecter completely unique is lead vocalist Pauline Black. Black was born to belt out infectious, punk-inspired ska tunes. Without her, The Selecter would sound too much like The English Beat - not a bad thing, just that Black really makes the band something special. She can back a social statement like "Danger" with fierce intensity and then bounce along playfully to some of the most infectious songs in existence. (Is "On My Radio" pure bliss or what?)

This is truly one of the best albums that I own, and I highly recommend it to fans of this type of music. Even if you already own a Selecter compilation, you shouldn't hesitate to pick this up. Seriously, no slapdash compilation can ever replace the original album, especially when every track is a killer.

  1. minus the horrible recording quaility this is easily the best supertones cd, this is when they were original, fresh, this is the supertones at there best, adonai is a classic 'tones song, who can be against me has a sweet sax solo, unknown is really really catchy, never wanna fall has a catchy guitar riff to it, roots is the only song i didnt like but its still ok, heaven is a very reasuring song with reasuring lyrics, he will always be there is they faster song on the album, mojo sounds good in exalt, found is probably the best song, orange county has crisp horns and a guest vocalist in it, i love god has no horns but is probably one of the stronger songs on the album, blood washed pilgram is a reggae influenced song and a great song to end the album on, buy this one and you will never regret it

  2. I really love the Supertones, and I'd have to say that this is their best CD. The lyrics are amazing; they put out a great message. The best part's gotta be the horns though. They are really clean and do a great job. Dan Spencer is awesome!!! My favorite song on here is "He Will Always Be There", but "Adonai" and "Heaven" are close behind. This band is definitely one to get interested in if you already haven't.

  3. This is were it all started for the O.C. Supertones. The firt CD released under toothandnail, before they went to BEC. It is a ska CD, but a very good SKA CD. This is a must buy for ska fans!

  4. WARNING: I am not a huge fan of ska, but the fantastic lyrics on this CD eventually won me over. When I first heard I was kind of turned off but eventually the lyrics were so powerful that I couldn't bare to not listen and sing along. Words like "I try to be like God, but when I try I fail, and everytime I fail I know I rail a nail straight into the cross of Jesus, straight into the wrist of Jesus" The depth at which this band knows the LORD is awesome and truly challenging and uplifting. You will truly be blessed by this album. The Lord really used it in my life.

  5. this is supertones at their best. ska ska ska!!! this cd is sooo raw and good, you have to get it. too bad they had to change their style for the worst.
