- This is just a great CD. My daughter checks it out at the library over and over again for her 2 year old daughter, who absolutely loves it. All the tracks are fun and the "Are we there yet" track is too funny. I'm purchasing the CD for our next long distance car trip with my grandson and I can't wait to play the "Are we there yet" track the first time he asks "are we there yet?" and each time after that he asks. It's going to be a hilarious trip!
- I bought this cd after reading several good reviews. While my daughter loves the cd (she sometimes wants track 4 over and over and over again), I am only rating this with 4 stars. This is because I find the songs with the Count to be a little annoying (there are 3 different tracks, but it's the same song). Also, the "Are we there yet?" song is annoying too, as Elmo's voice is whiny and screeching. Not something I'd want to listen to on a long car ride. Other than those grievances of mine, the cd is fun and my daughter loves it. It is played in our car often.
- This is a delightful cd. All the songs are catchy and upbeat. My four and three year old sing the songs throughout the day after listening to it. It will help the time pass when traveling or provide great dancing music when at home. I highly recommend this cd. Enjoy it - we do.
- Our 2 year old daughter loves this tape! We play it over and over in the car and we all sing along. The songs are up-beat and fun. And it also features the familiar voices of Sesame Street characters, like Big Bird, Elmo, Zoe, Count, etc.

- My infant daughter loves all the songs on this CD. We play it every night during our bath routine. The songs are fun and encourage kids to get clean!
- This is a must for any child who is a Sesame Street fan. We purchased this for our son's 1st birthday party which had a Rubber Ducky theme and it went over so well. We still listen to it!

- Oh man, this CD is freakin' awesome. I listen to it before I go to the gym to get pumped. Every song on here is great so you can listen to the whole thing without skipping songs. I wish there were more CDs like this. I love to rock out to this disc when it's party time. COOKIE RAWKS!!!!
- If you're a cookie fan, this is great, it has a lovely train song with Casey McPhee in it, and a cute song with Ernie about breakfast menus. As a parent, I like the funny lyrics, so I don't get too tired of listening over and over again...
- We purchased this CD for our son's first birthday. He LOVES it! He has to go to sleep every night with this CD playing in the background, and even wants to play with and carry around the CD case! We are big "Cookie Monster" fans at this house and were excited to see that there was even something like this available. And I swear that I remember some of the songs from when I was little! Cute lyrics; fun music; Cookie sings with several other familiar Sesame Street characters; children old and young will love this one!
- This album is great, but it's not the same as the one I had as a child, which was also called C is for Cookie, but had different tracks! The cover was the same, I think. It had Casey McPhee and C is for Cookie and Bakes a Cake and Circles, like this newer one, but I don't remember any of the others being on it. It also had a song called "Cookie Monster's 3 Wishes", with a genie in the toothpaste tube.
So as great as it is to find Casey, and as much as my toddler will love this one, personally, I'd love to hear if the older version was still available anywhere... hdunham@sympatico.ca.
- My 2 1/2 year old son LOVES this tape...has learned the songs and it really helps him burn energy & participate in the music. Creative lyrics...very cute topics. Very talented people contributed to this music and it shows. Any young child or adult will enjoy!

- My daughter is autistic and loves this cd. She listens to it every night before bed. She took a while to warm up to the music. We own the Rock and Roll DVD and she recognises some of the songs from the DVD,like Count up to Nine and I can't get no Co-operation. I had hoped that this cd would have included Telephone Rock and Forty Blocks from my home. All in all it's a good buy.

5 comments about A Sesame Street Christmas.
- I saw the titles of the songs on this recording and was hoping to hear the original stuff from 1975, but was disheartened to find out that the CD has been sabotaged by Elmo! Yikes! Elmo is not in every song, but does sing in many of them. Sorry, we're just not an Elmo fan here.
- I bought this for my 2-year-old daughter this year for Christmas. It has a few cute songs, and a few that she asked for by name, but others we skipped like Oscar's "I Hate Christmas," not because we are those freak type of parents, but because of our toddler's tendency to repeat words she hears repeatedly and I didn't want the word "hate" on her shortlist, even though she has no idea what it means.
Maybe next year they'll come out with a new collection of holiday songs with more traditional songs for little ones just learning the words.
- This was my first Christmas albumn 30 years ago and now my 4 year old daughter and I can enjoy it together. She loves it so much that we listen to it year round. Sesame Street never goes out of style.
- I really enjoy this product with my kids. It wasn't the full length thing like my record, but enough to bring back some memories.
- Unlike some of the reviewers who are looking for more nostalgic reasons, I'm happy to hear Elmo, Zoe, and the likes because it's what gets my 21-month old's attention. Even better, I like the music as well. It has many classic Christmas songs that I can sing along to with my kids. It's good family fun.

- I am well into my young adult-hood and I LOVED Elmopalooza, the movie. When I saw the soundtrack was being sold I secretly knew I had to have it. I love the soundtrack. It's so sweet and light-hearted. The characters' voices are all over the CD and my whole family enjoys it! Great soundtrack and if you haven't seen the movie, I highly recommend it as well!
- I have no use for a CD - I wanted the DVD version and never got it. I don't know who is at fault, but I would like the DVD please. I can send the CD back if you want. Help
- I am eighteen, and I, my thirteen-year-old brother and my seven-year-old sister all LOVE this cd. I've even caught our mom singing along!
This cd is a great opportunity to introduce kids to a broad range of artists... Jimmy Buffet, Celine Dion, Kenny Loggins, Steven Tyler, even Rosie O'Donnell. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, you won't get sick of this album after fifteen rounds of "play it again!" It's not Elmo-heavy, but he is on several tracks, similarly to the video.
This album is DEFINITELY worth the investment-- your kids will listen to it for years.
- My kids loved the video so we had to get the CD. It's just as wonderful! They love it and so do we, the songs are fun and don't get annoying after listening to them over and over.
- A lot of fun music. My daughter likes everything on this, except for "I Love Trash". One of the first things she actually sang was "Mambo, mambo, mambo, I, I, I".
We prefer this over the video. As other reviews point out, this CD doesn't have a lot of Elmo, despite the title, and it isn't especially long either.

- The videos for many of the songs on this CD are easily found on Youtube so unless your kids (or you) find some songs you really love you're probably better off passing on the CD. The title track is really the only one that is particularly catchy. The Cookie Monster song is almost creepy.
Interestingly, the LP version has a few "Beetles" songs like "Letter B" and "Hey, Food" which didn't make the CD.

5 comments about Sesame Street Platinum: All Time Favorites (Blister Pack).
- We bought this for our 8 month old to entertain her in the car. She loves it especially when elmo or cookie monster starts singing- she just giggles and coos :O) My little boy sings along with the songs and you know what- so do we. A great piece from our childhood that we can share with our kids and who doesn't remember the words to the C is for cookie song :O)
- My two year old loves this CD! The songs are the tried and true favorites from Sesame Street. This is also one of the few children's CD's that won't make Mom and Dad crazy after listening to it over and over. I would recommend it for the youngest child up to the most fun loving adult. We love ours and have also given as a gift... They loved theirs too!
- This CD has all of the classics that I remember from childhood and also sang with my now 11 year old niece. Now I sing them with my 9 month old daughter who loves them as well. Her favorite is the Sesame Street Theme song. Her toes just start tapping and her head starts bopping immediately.
- I remember my Mom sitting me down in front of the TV in 1969 to see the very first episode of Sesame Street. I have never lost my love for these furry friends. My children all love the music. It's fun and catchy. Very entertaining!
- As we cruse down the road my husband, my son and myself are all singing "C is for cookie thats good enough for me". I love the return of innocents and the res [...] of Jim Henson and a time before computer animation.

- I like all the songs on this CD, except for one. "I Wan't to Hold Your Ear" is the exception. It's sung by Bert in the style of a Cole Porter love ballad, but the words are creepy. It makes Bert seem like a serial killer, as he describes taking apart his loved one and holding various body parts. What were they thinking when they let this song get on the CD? When I hear my son singing it in the back seat, it creeps me out.
- I bought this CD basically just to have "Letter B", one of my favorites from childhood. Unfortunately, the version on the CD is not the version from the show with the muppet Beetles singing the song. I don't know where the CD version comes from, but it is horrible - barely even follows the Let It Be melody. Likewise other songs on the album, which seem to be take-offs only in title. Very disappointed.
- This a fun CD, even for adults. I love kids music that isn't TOO much like kid's music such as other obnoxouis purple characters. This CD is funny and great bc the songs are based off popular songs of the 60s, 70, 80s and even 90s. (Rebel L? That's hilarious!!) My son is only 10 mos old and loves it. This is our "in the car" CD!
- This one took some getting used to. Most of the songs are takeoff of an original famous song or genre. None follows the original music exactly and at first I found this quite disconcerting. The words were funny, but I kept expecting the original tune. I still feel this way about some. "Hey Food" doesn't work because "Hey Jude" is one of the great songs of all time and it's annoying to hear an inferior takeoff. "Let It Be" is less great but still better than "Letter 'B'". But some of the takeoffs are masterpieces in their own rights. Forgive me, but I almost like "Rebel 'L'" better than the original, which I adore. And the genre parodies (Spector-ish girl groups, a generic Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley song etc ) are easier to enjoy. I'm glad I persisted.
- My son loves everything Sesame Street. This CD is no exception. It's cute with a fun beat for kids.
