  1. Look up. Does it say "in stock"? It does? Buy it! The hell with the damn money - life's short, and this jewel from Dust To Digital is worth every cent. Goodbye, Babylon is a rich, deep vein of mixed ore - plenty of utilitarian coal, a good leavening of gold, and a double handful of diamonds. For starters, the box set itself is a beautiful object, made with respect and love. For musical trainspotters, there's plenty here to enjoy and mull over - by far the larger proportion not found on any of my other compilations. And for people like me, who are trawling for that elusive and rare combination of passion and melody, humanity and heartbreak, yearning and joy - it can be found here. I distilled the six CDs down to a compilation that I listen to as I would any good music, and as frequently - it's a great Sunday morning CD and, if you live in the suburbs like I don't, it'll freak the neighbours. Oh, unless you live in the southern states of the US, of course. Ahem. Anyway, sift through and you'll find beautiful songs that will lift your spirits, old weird America stuff that'll make you smile and sing along, and a wealth of really interesting music that draws from many traditions. This one is special, and worth it. Enjoy.

  2. This a very valuable collection of gospel music. Be aware that is all gospel. Is is nearly all old time gospel, and it gives us a rich history of the passion that goes into this form of music. If you are a lover of folk music you should own this set.The performers are now saved for all time! The one drawback is the insanley stupid packaging-a wooden box that does not work! I threw mine away. What were they thinking??

  3. Having read the enthusiastic reviews here and in the the New York Times, I couldn't wait for this boxed set to arrive. Unfortunately, when it did arrive I sure wished I could get a refund.

No doubt this material is of interest to scholars. But anyone just looking for something enjoyable to listen to is in for a disappointment.

I have listened to plenty of old recordings but the sound quality on this is by far the worst I have ever heard, bar none. You really can't enjoy the music. The quality is so poor that one track of a particular genre doesn't register as any different from another. Listening to it is just plain painful.

So if you are a music library you might want to spend your money on this.
But, if you are just a gospel fan, you may want to spend your money on the many other fine gospel recordings out there.

  4. This is one of the most wide-ranging and wonderful collections of early roots music I've found. The performances range from gospel quartets and choirs through blues and jug bands, pulling together influences from gospel, bluegrass and country, jazz, and blues. And then there's an entire disc of sermons, with such gems (no pun intended) as "Black Diamond Express to Hell". Great stuff, and a wonderfully eclectic collection of early roots music, gospel or not.

The sound quality is very good, especially given the age of many of the sources.

There's not a ton of historical/biographical info in the 200+ page book, but the inclusion of all the lyrics of every song is a huge win. The packaging is as cool as it looks, but isn't terribly practical for day-to-day use. That wasn't a problem for me, as I ripped all six CDs and have primarily played them off my computers, but could be a nuisance for some.

  5. This set includes 5 music CD's plus 1 preaching CD. All six are good ones and each individual CD is put together according to a single theme; salvation, judgement, etc. I listen to this over and over again and I never tire of it. Maybe this is a bit pricy, but still it's worth every cent.

  1. All John Denver fans should have this set. From his early material to his later, most of the best is here. I personaly heard alot of the songs on this set for the first time and was pleasantly surprized. I Highly recommend this compilation .

  2. As always John Denver's music is wonderful. What I really liked is how fast the CD's took to arrive.I'm always impatient to get my new John Denver CD's.

  3. This CD set is well worth having. John seemed to fit into the folk, easy listening as well as the country category. While I don't have all his recordings I think this CD set gives a good cross section of his music.

  4. I chose this 4-CD set because it included one of my favorite Denver songs, "Eclipse", which is not found on other compilations. The familiar hits are all here including a few gems that even serious fans might not have heard, but for the casual listener I strongly recommend the 2-CD set The Rocky Mountain Collection which includes all of Denver's most popular songs. Every Denver fan should have at least one concert CD, and I recommend An Evening with John Denver. To complete your collection add John Denver - The Wildlife Concert.

  5. AWESOME!!!! There were so many songs that I haven't heard of so it was great to hear the new and especially the old... If you like John Denver music you definately need this one

  1. This set is the Best Metallica concert set I have ever purchased. When it originally was released it was only available in VHS format with a choice of C.D. or cassette for the Mexico City concert, now it is finally on DVD.

All the concert footage presented here proves why Metallica became Rock Gods. Although I have not purchased the last few Metallica albums since they changed their style, I still purchased this set and was very pleased. Only problem was with the stencil and booklet, I prefered the larger size stuff that came with the original boxset; however, the concert footage is still legendary.

My favorite is still the Seattle "And Justice For All" show. This set proves why people who went to see Ozzy Osbourne on his "The Ultimate Sin" tour were really there to see opening act Metallica who were suppoting their Master Of Puppets effort. The stage is explosive with pyrotechniques and Metallica literally destroy the entire stage before ending the show. This alone reminded me of seeing Kiss in their heyday. Best of all they play the full version of "Master Of Puppets" and not the shortened version they have been playing the last few years. Another Gem on this video is the live version of "Breadfan." By far better than the version of "Stone Cold Crazy" that is featured on the "San Diego" set.
But even San Diego is worth mentioning.

Starting with the 20 min. Metallimovie This is basically a review of 2 1/2 years in the life of Metallica redone, then the set blows open with Enter Sandman and you are off and running. After this the set seems to slow down and becomes the Metallica we have heard the last few years (then again I did not like the Black album as well as I did the older albums with exception of "Enter Sandman") The real Gem of this show though is seeing Lars Ulrich and James Helfield dualing on Drums. Plus it is 3 1/2 hours of Metallica Live!

The two CD set of Mexico City is good but not great. The solos are overdone and way too long, good thing you can skip them now. I normally bypass this part of the set. But it was fun playing the unmentioned live version of "So What" to my friends before it became a (Censored) radio regular. So why did I give this set a 5 star review? Because all video taped concerts have their problems, but this concert set is still one of the best produced ones available today.

Skip the other Metallica videos and buy this one. It is the only concert you will need. I should know I just purchased my third copy.

    SEE YAA!!!

  3. Not much of a live album fan myself. But sometimes the versions on live albums can sound more full blooded than some creaky studio take from circa 1976. And sometimes you'll get a song that really comes alive on stage. But every now and again one comes along that even I'll feel obliged to pick up and this is one of them.

Metallica sure had the history and the catalogue to put on a fine performance come live album time. And they prove it on this triple CD spread (ha, beat that you old 70's live albums you!). Going into critical minutia is sort of pointless - just look at the track listing and it'll speak for itself. What I would like to point out are a couple of aspects that may sway your decision.

Firstly the production values are good. Traditional, heavy and full range. Secondly pretty much all the bands hits are here - it really is a good collection of tunes and very indicative of their live experience (saw the tour for the black album in Sydney, Australia) and if you can filter out James' rather pathetic and annoying between song banter then it pretty much shows the band as a well oiled machine ripping it up, swerving all over their back catalogue in search of the next circle pit anthem.

Thirdly this release is a darn good representation of the pre Load era Metallica. There is the live DVD Cunning Stunts that came out some years later, but to my knowledge that wasn't accompanied by a straight CD release. So in the same way that Iron Maidens Live at Donnington could be seen to be the culmination of their rise and rise through the 80's this can also be viewed as an excellently timed summation of where Metallica were at as a live band at the culmination of their own rise to world dominance. Or at the least the metal community.

So there you go, my critical two cents worth and overall my advice is to buy it especially if you can score it cheap as if your a fan of the band you won't be disappointed in the slightest.

  4. this was the one thing that got me into MetallicA in 2003 (well...lets just make it clear that i was born in the 90s) and it is absolutely one of the best things the band has released.

HOURS of concert amazing footage this boxset offers. i mean what else can you possibly ask for? it cannot get better than this. i'd say this is the best concert release i will ever own. taking place in the late 80s and early 90s, this shows james, kirk, jason (i miss him a whole lot...so unfortunate to have him leave the band...IMO rob's okay, but not as good as jason), and lars at their best.

this is something every Metallica fans should have. the ultimate boxset. every second of it is highly enjoyable. i HIGHLY recommend this

  5. If you have never seen this concert set before, you are in for a surprise.

The ....And Justice For All live DVD is enough to make this set worth every penny spent. This concert shows Metallica at their best (except I think if Cliff Burton had survived his tragedy this Disc set would have been even better.) The Black album concert is fair but not as flashing as the ...And Justice For All concert. Even the C.D.'s are quite a trill, if you bypass the back to back solos. I especially was shocked the first time I heard this set since it includes "So What" (a song that was unreleased in the Metallica Catalog prior to this sets original release.)

Like this review states this was one of the last great efforts form this band (Okay Okay Garage Inc. was great, but everything else wince this Box set has sucked. Just hope their new bassiest will bring back this one time great band.)

  1. Awesome song selection, very thourogh and just the perfect little set with loads of extras. The artwork, book and flip book are excellent.

  2. I'll let all y'all fans gush - suffice to say that ZZ Top is an essential Texas band. I mainly want to refute some other comments concerning these mixes. In the 80's, the band heavily remixed their first six albums for the "Six Pack" reissue, adding massive amounts of reverb. For years, those were the standard mixes on CD reissues.

These mixes are the originals - they sound clean and dynamic, with a little tape hiss audible in only the quietest parts. I owned the old CDs, so I could 'A-B' them. Check out "La Grange." When the drums kick in, it's easy to hear the absence of echo. Buy with confidence!

As for the track selection, I only found one cut - "Balinese" - that will be sorely missed, and a few more - like "Apologies To Pearly," "Low Down In The Street," and "(Somebody Else Been) Shaking Your Tree" - that would have been nice. But, nothing's perfect, and those cuts are available for download.

Altogether, "Chrome, Smoke & BBQ" is the one to get. Haw, haw, haw...

  3. well top fans the buck stops here this repersents the best from the boys from 70 to 90. zz top has so many great tracks and albums your best of buying a compilation. so either your a.(a casual fan who just knows radio zz top). b(a pretty serious top fan from over the years who wants the hits plus all the great cuts from the albums you use to own. or your c(a hardcore top fan who want pretty much every great track they made in cluding a bunch of rarites.

if your A you need the one cd collection greatest hits

if your b you need the two cd rancho texicano hits

if you c you need the 4 cd chrome smoke and bbq

*of note is worth mentioning no matter what you buy this hits only go up to recylcer album so none of the albums they have done in recent yaers are not covered, but thats not a problem for most people. either wat its all great music and wont disappoint.

  4. Great box set! Could have done without the moving sidewalks stuff. Enjoyed the included flip book! If you are an old fan looking to supplement your vinyl or a new fan looking to get up to speed...this box set is for you. The enclosed booklet also provides some history and insight into how that lil ole band from Texas came to be.

  5. This set is just about as complete as you can get with just four discs. Sure a few great songs are missing but you can't have them all. As someone else stated these are NOT the "disco-mix" aka the "six-pack-sound" mixes. They are the original album mixes. I do like the "medium-rare tracks" at the end of disc four as they were new to me. One thing though, the version of Legs on this set is NOT the same version as on my Eliminator cd. The rhythm guitar (that to me defines the track)is nowhere to be heard on here. What's up with that? I've never heard this version before, it doesn't even sound like the same song.

5 comments about US Singles Collection Box.

  1. how many times can the same material be re-packaged and sold? any beach boys fan has all of the material here, most likely several times over. the packaging is way cool but contains, once again, the same old tunes. please, give it up already. ENOUGH!!!!!

  2. The merits of this set as laid out in strictly musical terms already have been discussed. This is essential pop music and would be an awesome addition to any collection. Beautiful package, cool book and the sounds . . . well, let's just say that they are as fresh and innovative today as they were way back when.

For many of us, however, this set is much more than the temporal sounds that emanate from the tiny, round aluminum circles contained herein. Within this box is the sound of a different America and a different world; a sound from a time that saw everything as a possibility, and the future as some sure-to-be-terrific adventure. The Beach Boys represent this time, this America, maybe better than any band in the history of popular music. With 40-odd years of hindsight, however, we now see how much both America and the Beach Boys have changed - and lost. Never a band to hide its (sad) emotions, the poignancy this reverse view of time elicits is staggering when you hear the music literally jump out of this box and into your ears. Packaged as updated 45 singles, the set further removes the listener to a more innocent time; a time before albums were 40-minute statements and taken as whole works of art. Once upon a time the Song was the Thing, and the Beach Boys ruled that very magical universe.

The Beach Boys traveled many diffcult roads during the years that followed their heydey as chronicled in this collection. Brian went nuts. Dennis lost the fight of his life, succumbing to the evils of excess. Carl lost to an even more insidious enemy, as cancer removed his angelic voice from this world and carried it to its most logical venue. Thankfully, then, we have this music to remind us just how talent, heart, desire and true love of craft can translate into the finest canon of popular music ever committed to tape. I say this with no apologies to the Beatles, the Stones - or anyone else.

So, the Beach Boys (despite both Mike Love's & Al Jardine's most pathetic attempts) are no more. And neither is America - at least not the one we once knew, or the one we once dreamed of. Buy this box, load your multi-disc tray and shut your eyes, however, and you are quickly transferred - if only temporarily - to a time when for both the Beach Boys and America, anything was possible.

Presumably - and hopefully - there will be a second collection of Beach Boys singles, none of which will be as celebrated as the songs contained in this set. Nevertheless, some great songs followed, and many of them had very little to do with the Genius of Brian Wilson. When/if that set appears, we can then discuss its merits as the soundtrack to the Downfall of America, the End of Innocence and the withering-on-the-vine of America's most important and influential band.

  3. It's absolutely disgraceful how Capitol treats its Beach Boys fans regarding the release of their stereo mixes. Every few years we have to purchase yet another redundant collection of songs just to get a few new songs in stereo. Last year it was "The Warmth of the Sun" (You're So Good To Me, All Summer Long), in 2001 it was "Hawthorne,CA" (Heroes and Villains, Dance Dance Dance), in 1998 it was "Endless Harmony" (California Girls), in 1996 it was "Pet Sounds", and on and on. This latest collection is the most absurd yet: $132.98 for two new stereo mixes (When I Grow Up To Be A Man and She Knows Me Too Well). At this rate the stereo Good Vibrations will cost $10,000 in 2025!! There's no reason (other than greed) why they couldn't have included "I Get Around" and "Help Me Rhonda" in stereo here as well. Bootlegs of these recordings exist with just one or two overdubs missing. There are many good homemade stereo versions of Good Vibrations out there on the web. PLEASE, Capitol, release these recordings while we are all still alive to buy them!!

  4. If you're a serious Beach Boys fan, then this Singles box set if for you. I've struggled a long time to assemble my own set of the mono Beach Boys singles and it's not easy. This set makes it all perfect. The original mono mixes for the singles (and one EP) and then bonus tracks of stereo mixes or other rarities. Plus reproductions of all the single picture sleeves. I do wish they had included The Beach Boys first single on the Candix label as a bonus disc. I can't wait for Volume 2 which should include Caroline No as released by Brian Wilson.

Also I can only hope that this set is a template for a possible release of The Beatles' singles on Capital Records.

  5. ...This is the kind of product that will keep them relevant. They can't go on anymore putting out disposable (c)rap music and expect to compete with the web or direct artist-to-audience business models. Anyway, this marvelous set is a visual, musical, and audio delight. I don't know if the material has been remastered specifically for this set or if is a re-release of the same masterings, but the sound quality is first-rate. Oh, and the music? Yes, of course much of it has been released many times over, as another reviewer noted, BUT HOW MANY BEACH BOYS NEWCOMERS ARE EXPECTED TO BUY THIS SET ANYWAY? THIS IS A NICHE PRODUCT AIMED AT THE MORE-THAN-CASUAL FAN, although (as is true with BB music generally), casual fans will certainly enjoy the music. And there are some nuggets that are (at least for me), new finds. I.E. the live version of "409" on the first disc is not one that I've heard before and crackles with energy (as do many live BB recordings from their first surge of popularity). The tactile and visual qualities of this set are also wonderful -- the colors and varying textures of the box, as well as the reproduction 45 sleeves inside and the hardcover, "sand covered" book convey the optimism and happiness of a better time. Highly recommended.

  1. I absolutely loved this collection. It's true that some versions are, let's say, suprising (country-ish versions....) but the collection is very, very satisfying. I'm sad to see that "American dream" is not on it, as well as a couple of other noteworthy songs, but I'm nonetheless very happy I got hold of this collection.

  2. This box set was quite a surprise. It sounds like they went into the studio and re-recorded all of the songs.....AND ITS GREAT!!! Some songs are not quite what you are used to hearing but each was done incredibly well. Its great to hear their voices in such clarity and in such harmony.

  3. I'd have to agree with many of the reviewers that say this is one of the best boxed sets there are. You get a generous portion of CSN's debut, CSNY's Deja Vu, Graham Nash's Songs for Beginners, Crosby and Nash's Wind On the Water, CSN and Daylight Again. You also get a good overview of Stephen Stills' solo career and his project Manassas, David Crosby's solo projects and Graham Nash's solo projects. Each individual song includes an overview in the accompanying book concerning it from either Crosby, Stills or Nash, but also includes thoughts from Joni Mitchell (her comments on her own song "Woodstock" are invaluable) and the late Jerry Garcia, who's featured on "Teach Your Children" and "Southbound Train." Also, the book includes the complete discography up to 1990 (around the time this boxset was released) of all things CSN, CSNY, C&N and solo projects (sans Neil Young; I heard he was planning his own boxset). Also, kudos to Graham Nash and Gary Tolman for the fine job they did producing this set.

Rarities include alternate mixes of "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes," "Guinivere," "Lee Shore," "Taken at All," "Homeward through the Haze" (the three previously mentioned feature CSN&Y), "See the Changes," "Simple Man," "Song with No Words," "As I Come of Age," "Soldiers of Peace," "Helplessly Hoping," "4 + 20," and "Almost Cut My Hair," never before released songs like the Beatles' "Blackbird," Steve Winwood's "Dear Mr. Fantasy" and Joni Mitchell's "Urge for Going," live versions of Stills' "Black Queen" (he knew how to confront an exasperating audience), Nash's "Man In the Mirror" and "Wild Tales," "Dark Star" and "Got It Made" (that's about 1/3 of the boxset).

Of course, there's the highlights and quintessentials like "Find the Cost of Freedom," "Wasted on the Way," "Southern Cross," "Daylight Again," "Just a Song Before I Go," "Long Time Gone," "Wooden Ships," "Woodstock," "Helpless," Nash's "I Used to Be a King" and "Chicago" known for its exhortation "We can chaaange the wooorld!", Stills' "Old Times Good Times" (featuring a lively guitar solo by the late great Jimi Hendrix), "Thoroughfare Gap" and "Love the One You're With," "Woodstock," "Teach Your Children," "Shadow Captain," "Our House," the vitriolic "Ohio," Crosby's introspective "Tracks In the Dust" Crosby and Nash's "To the Last Whale," "Southbound Train," and "Immigration Man." One thing that has always been CSN's charm is that they weren't afraid to address both world issues and personal issues in their music, not to mention their gift for unigue harmonies. That's why I included Stephen Stills' quote as the title of this review.

I know you can't have everything that deserves inclusion, especially when you're limited to 4 discs, but it would've been nice to have Crosby and Nash's "Foolish Man" and "Out of the Darkness," Stephen Stills' "Go Back Home" (featuring Eric Clapton) and "We Are Not Helpless," "Fair Game" (from CSN) and the Stills/Young Band's "Long May You Run" (a minor quibble since this concluded Neil Young's Decade anthology).

All in all, if you love the music of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and can't afford all their most worthy releases, this would be a worthwhile investment.

  4. Excellent music. Always has been, and always will be. The sharpest vocals in the business. Crisp harmonies and supurb lyrics. Beside the great music, there is good information is to be found in the expanded liner notes.

  5. This is a great box set, with a few flaws. For one, it doesn't include full albums. There are only parts of it. I usually like to buy full and complete albums because there might be songs that aren't in box sets like these. Now I can't buy the full albums because I already have 1/2 of it, it just wouldn't be worth it. If you like the "greatest hits" idea for albums, you will like this box set. It's great and has all the great songs. But if you like complete albums like me, buy them seperatly.

  1. I haven't even listen to all of the CDs, but what I have heard brings back great memories of what I couldn't find anywhere else on CD. It's a great collection of work along with behind the scenes studio recordings. Recommended for any Beach Boys casual or die hard fan.

  2. I purchased this 5 CD set for my husband as a Father's Day gift. He's enjoyed listening to it. It's a excellent CD and includes the many Beach Boy hits and extra material never released. Extremely great value for the money and I encourage any Beach Boy fans to make it a purchase.

  3. This box set covers the first thirty years of the Beach Boys. Of course, much more space is devoted to the group's early glory days than to the uneven later years. The first four discs cover the high points of the band's career, featuring their most popular songs with a few rarities thrown into the mix. Disc 5 is all rarities, with backing tracks without vocals and such, which will appeal to serious Beach Boys fans but may be of little interest to the casual listener. As a big fan of the Beach Boys, I liked all of it.

  4. I got these for a friend who is a beachboy fan. He loves them. It has a great information packet and has all the original songs including demo songs that were never released.

  5. Great songs, lots of demos, pre-release takes, and even some radio promos. This CD set is only for the serious Beach Boys aficionado. If you just want the songs you heard on the radio, buy a "Best of" CD.

  1. Great and luxurius box for The Band fans, fantastic pictures and a great collection of songs in chronological order.

Recommended for every The Band fan!

  2. Beginning with the Hawks material shows The Band smoking a Bo Diddly riff on 'Who do you love?'That's Levon laying down that voodoo beat and shaking it up better than at the Last Waltz!
Van Morrison's rehearsal versions also best the Last Waltz.
The 1976 live version of 'Forbidden Fruit'is one of the most exciting tracks ever, aside from 1974's tour with Bob Dylan. That's Levon, again, in high gear! (Pun acceptable)
This Band encompassed everything good about an ensemble. Three headed vocals, incomparable rhythms, songwriting comparable to Beatles and Dylan, and the one man orchestra Garth Hudson.
    The DVD man!
Robbie,I know you held back some more material. Give it up!
Buy this box and take a journey thru American via rock-n-roll.

  3. I became aware of the product from iTunes which has a review of the set but does not actually have all of the tracks from the set.

Listening for the first time, I was reminded of something my dad told me: their songs are great, but sometimes, their singing is the pits. That's especially noticeable on "Will the Circle Be Unbroken".

But that does not impact the value of this set. It gives a complete picture of The Band and their history. The accompanying book (I would call it liner notes, but that minimizes its impact) does not delve into the lasting rift between Levon Helm and Robbie Robertson, but it still makes great reading. If you're a fan, this set is worth the investment.

  4. The collection of the Band is outstanding. It contains multipule versions of famous tracks as well as previously unrecorded or unreleased material. Features several great versions of the Band's "Don't Do It" which is a hard one to find. The book and DVD are cool as well. A must for the Band fan.

  5. I have been wanting to purchase this vault of music ever since I was aware of it's release and it was well worth the wait. I have really been enjoying listening to it since I received it as a gift from my kids for Xmas.I would advise anyone who is a fan of The Band to buy it also, because it's a must have for your collection.

  1. It is a very good collection although most of the more popular songs are not in there.

  2. I missed this when it first came out because I figured it was just their old albums "boxed" with a few bonus tracs like every other boxed set out there. *****But this is the boxed set of boxed sets!***** Not a rehash, but tons of unreleased Bon Jovi goodness. Top quality demos of the progressions of songs and ideas and variations of what could have been + previously unreleased tracs. A must have for any Bon Jovi fan. Great stuff.

5 comments about The Doo Wop Box.

  1. Although considerably overpriced at $70 list, Amazon had this on sale for about $40 and that is a hell of a bargain. Great music and great sound for the era and then some. Rhino excels at this sort of thing and this is no exception. If you like doo-wop, keep an eye out for the next sale- or splurge if you can afford it.

  2. I purchased this collection for my father after watching a special on tv featuring the golden era. As I began to listen more to the songs, I realized that I enjoyed the CD's as much as he did. It is a very well put together collection that will satisfy many listeners. There was even a song that my 7 year old recognized from a kids' movie! He loved it and wanted me to keep playing it. The book that accompanies the 4 cd's is a very entertaining history of how the era all came together. Definitely a great purchase.

  3. Like the cover says, this box features "101 Vocal Group Gems From The Golden Age of Rock 'N' Roll". My dictionary defines doo wop as "a vocal style of rock and roll characterized by the a cappella singing of nonsense syllables in rhythmical support of the melody". That's as good a definition as any, but there isn't really a consensus as to what songs qualify as "doo wop". The first disc includes early groups like the Orioles, the Drifters and the Platters that aren't usually considered doo wop, but were big influences on the doo wop groups. Regardless of what is or isn't doo wop, these are terrific vocal group recordings. Most of them were hits, but there are also many obscure gems included. This box is a "must get" for fans of the vocal group sound.

  4. What a great box set...sooo many good songs. And, I especially like the feature that Amazon gives us the ability to listen to the actual song!

  5. This was too good a buy. It has almost EVERY GREAT HIT from it's era! Songs like "Maybe" and "Devil or Angel" just relax me to the fullest. Do you love Doo-Wop? Then BUY THIS BOX SET!
