  1. Marvin Sapp's voice is truly dynamic. Listen to the words of "Praise Him In Advance"- it will change your heart, mind and soul.

  2. The is the best CD I have bought in a very long time the whole CD is good. Its brilliant.

    Christine

  3. I purchased this CD two days ago. On the first day I would only listen to track # 12 "Never Would Have Made It". By the time day two rolled around, I discovered all of the tracks to be equally EXCELLENT!
I appreciated reading many of the reviews of Marvin Sapp's "Thirsty" CD but with all sincerity, if you found any of this Spirit filled music boring, perhaps now would be a good time to get on your knees and pray. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BORING ABOUT PRAISING AND WORSHIPING THE LORD!!! AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING BORING ABOUT THIS CD. I am very happy that I purchased it and know that you will be also!

  4. I continually enjoy listening to this cd. I have shared it with my family and friends. They have enjoyed it as well. I downloaded it to my Zune so that I can carry it with me and listen to it whenever I want to you.

  5. If the rest of the album's not up to scratch I don't care. I only bought it for "Never would have made it".That song is fantastic.

5 comments about This Is Our God.

  1. The songs in this CD give glory to God and are really good. I am in my thirties and like worshiping and praising God. Having great music available really enhances the whole experience.

    Thanks.

  2. I really enjoyed this CD. I especially liked the song "Healer." It is a faith filled song and really speaks to me. My second favorite song is "Where we Belong." It's about enjoying God's presence. I think this is one of the best Hillsong CD's.

  3. I am a huge Hillsong fan, but I am not biased by any stretch. I love to worship God and get into His presence, so I treat all this music the same.

I own many Hillsong and Hillsong United (the youth worship team from Hillsong church)albums. I recently acquired "This Is Our God" and after listening to it, I think this might be the best album from Hillsong's worship team yet.

the newest release from Integrity Media and Hillsong Music Australia (Pro, This Is Our God follows the release of Savior King, the last live-recorded worship album from Hillsong's worship team, recorded in 2007, and the youth worship team's I Heart Revolution album released in 2008. I liked Savior King, but my only complaint is it didn't have as many new songs. This Is Our God has a lot of new songs never released by Hillsong Music Australia. Ever since Joel Houston became the worship team leader and pastor (taking Darlene Zschech's place), adds a freshness to the variety of songs including Sing To The Lord, This Is Our God, High and Lifted Up, Desert Song, You'll Come, With Everything, and a other previously released songs like You Deserve and Healer.

Hillsong fans will notice that Darlene Zschech is missing from this album, and this is the only the second Hillsong album I can think of that doesn't feature her performing.

All I can say is this is a truly inspiring album! The music really ministers to me, and I can feel God's presence every time I put it on and crank it up! With Everything, Sing To The Lord and This Is Our God really touch my heart in a special way, as does Healer, as I have miraculously overcome many hurdles with physical and mental sicknesses.

However, it was a disspointment that former Planetshakers singer and bassist Michael Guglielmucchi lied about his cancer diagnosis and is now battling a pornography addiction. He was also recently investigated for misusing money donated to him.

As a result, present versions of This Is Our God do not include this song (Mine does, on early releases it's track # 8), which is too bad because deception or not, I think it's a good song and a real asset to this compilation. As a pastor, it's a shame he acted the way he did; he is supposed to adhere to a higher level of accountability and conduct. He is such a gifted singer and song-writer, he didn't need to lie about being sick, because his song touched me all the same.

I give Hillsong high praise for their ministry and how they touch people with worship and awesome music program. This Is Our God is an asset that I think will touch and transform a lot of lives. Even if you are not a fan of Christian music, if you are a believer, I reccomend this album. I think it will change the way you worship and open new doors for getting into God's presence.

  4. If you are looking for a cd that will inspire you in your walk with God, this is a great one. It has been a great help in my personal worship experience. I highly recommend it. Could be Hillsong's best work yet.

  5. I purchased this CD on the basis of the artist's background story for his "Healing." I learned later that his supposed cancer treatments were only a lie - a lie to his band, his family, and the larger body of Christ.

I do not have not issues with Amazon, the product was shipped timely - only the artist who really needs "healing."

  1. Difficult to beat Chris Tomlin. Great songwriter, great singer. This CD has a lot of hits, if that's what you like. I recommend it to anyone that likes CCM.

  2. I was really hoping that this music would have been a quality album that Amazon picked for their deal of the day. Maybe I will invest a little more time in reading reviews before I listen them. I never like when the singer sounds exactly the same from song to song. An album should have a theme but should also tell a rhythmic story not just a lyrical one. I prefer those songs that pull you in because they are well written and well produced. This one didn't hit any of my notes...not a one.

  3. Peaceful, strengthening music, I play it every morning to prepare my mind for the day.

  4. if you're a believer and love worship songs, this is a must have. great songs, great emotions sung and heard through the songs and words. i recommend it to everyone.

  5. every song on this cd will bless, encourage, and strengthen you to fight the good fight of faith

  1. This CD is absolutely wonderful. Natalie is such a talented and inspiring artist. I would highly recommend this album.

  2. some really powerful songs, with inspiration and a good mix of tunes. I really enjoy this cd and is now one of my current favorites. It's my first cd from Natalie and I don't regret my purchase at all.

  3. Natalie Grant is amazing ! The music is so very moving and emotional. Excellent songs.

  4. First I must say that I am so happy that I purchased this CD. To me Natalie Grant is worship waiting to happen. She opens her mouth and you can't help but be moved. The sincerity with which she sings has truly touched me. I've only had the CD for a few weeks but I have listened to it a few dozen times. I fill as if God has spoken to me in just about every song on the CD. Each song, in my opinion, has been written and sung to touch your heart and make you think. This CD has made me want to fight to make my faith stronger and just be a better Christian. I feel the music on this CD was made for this time in my life. If you haven't purchased a Natalie Grant CD before this one is a good place to start. If you just judge it for yourself you will not be disappointed.

  5. Amazing.

From the first to the last note, this album hits all the right chords. Enjoy!

5 comments about Portable Sounds.

  1. This has to be Tobymac's best CD! His music is happy music and has a great meaning. His words keeps my focus where it should be. He's an upcoming artist I hope to hear and see more of.

  2. I just realized lots of his album covers as well as DC Talk's are blatantly showing their free masons belonging.

Toby Mac is an Illuminati (high ranked free mason like Jay-Z and so many others that r part of our daily lives. The Portable Sound cover is the very obvious symbol of the pyramid and the all seeing eye (stylized of course). This symboil is everywhere: Eiffel Tower, back of 1 dollar bill, Israel Logo etc... You can google "illuminati architecture"

You can see the all seeing eye in DC Talk covers as well, go to Amazon for some blatant examples:

    [...]

Once you know how to recognize free masons symbols you will see it's everywhere (like CBS logo, the all seeing eye)...all this helps those satanists to recognize each others.

Friends let's wake up! Christianity is being infiltrated (and has always been) by satanists like Billy Graham, Benny Hinn and co. You can recognize them by their symbols which is their secretive way to show their fellows that they r part of the same fraternity.

Do your research while Internet is still available.

    Thx for reading.

BTW I loved that album Portable Sound, but I cant listen to it knowing he's a satanist and globalist ("one world, one love etc..")

Hope it helps discern the wolfs in sheep disguise. As disappointing as it may seem i would advise you to throw any free masons (as far as it is recognizable) away. I will do so soon. Even P.O.D. one of my favorite band is utterly satanist in their covers (like Fundamental Elements album)

God bless, and don't forget Jesus Christ is the only real light and hopw for humanity. Don't be fooled by this world.

  3. Another fun and quality album by Toby Mac.
As a teenager I enjoyed DC Talk, but am so glad that Toby Mac went solo. I have enjoyed all of his albums, as well as many of his concerts. I have a hard time listening to kiddie music, so I love it that my 3-year old would rather listen to Toby Mac than her music. :)

  4. First off he throws down a song unlike any Christian artist. I am new to the Tobymac music this year and can tell you I love it. His sound/genre seems to change depending on the song.

If 311/limpbizkit/blackeyedpeas/Rancid etc were Christian artists and you rolled them up into one. This is what you get. I would like to see him release more music like this album and Diverse City.

His remixed cds are also very good, which is rare in the remix world of bad cds.

  5. I love every single song on this CD especially the last..."I DON'T WANT TO LOSE MY SOUL". Doesn't get much better than this.

5 comments about I Can Only Imagine: Ultimate Power Anthems of the Christian Faith.

  1. I had seen this on TV and my son (9) wanted it, I waited a while and decided to look on Amazon which had it cheaper and it is a very good CD, contemporary Christian music which speaks better to my son than hymns at this age. He has downloaded songs on his MP3 and I enjoy just listening to the CD at home. Excellent choice, and CD, highly recommended.

  2. This album is wonderful. The music is inspiring. The price was right and the CD arrived quickly and well packaged.

  3. When I bought this set, I was only looking for the MercyMe "I Can Only Imagine" title song.
And I am not disappointed. Terrific sound.
I now use this set more than any others I own.
Disc 2 starts right out with the fast paced "God is in Control" by Twila Paris.
Takes all the grogginess out of my mornings and puts me in the right order for the day.
You will find something for yourself to sit and softly Praise. Or to get yourself up and move the Praise on around the living room rug.
I Can Only Imagine: Ultimate Power Anthems of the Christian Faith

  4. The music on this CD is just beautiful and so inspirational. I highly recommend it to anyone! It is well worth the money.

  5. THIS IS CD IS EVEN MORE THAN I EXPECTED. THE SONG "I CAN ONLY IMAGINE" BY MERCY ME WOULDN'T BE THE SAME SUNG BY ANY OTHER ARTIST!

  1. If you like Hillsong and worship songs, you must get this! this is must buy stuff!

  2. I really like Hillsong Music, and this CD is the best of them all. Listening to the songs just transforms the atmosphere to one of Worshiping God.

    Thanks.

  3. In this live release from Hillsong United, they introduce a unique concept in creating the cd from a conglomeration of concerts held around the world. From Australia to America, Brazil to Berlin, Scotland to South Korea, some of the best songs from this multi-talented group are melded in a seamless fashion so that it sounds many times like one consecutive concert. Worship leaders such as Joel Houston, Marty Sampson, Scott Ligertwood, Reuben Morgan, and Hillsong newcomer Brooke Fraser, among others lead in a variety of heart felt worship songs as well as straight up rock worship.

Since purchasing this album a few months ago I've listened to it a great deal on a weekly basis. Disc 1 and 2 have differing feels to them but both have great worship songs.

The album includes many popular songs such as "Mighty to Save," "From the Inside Out," "The Stand," as well as newer songs such as "You'll Come." A couple songs also incorporate a Spanish element such as "Fuego de Dios" and "Shout Unto God" which are very cool and provide a sense of worldwide worship.

I highly recommend the album; you will not be disappointed.

  4. This album is great because it shows how people around the world can all come together and worship God. No there are no new songs but that's not important

  5. I like the setting, with the crowd getting involve and stuff :) Overall, it's a nice compilation of praise songs. Only reason I don't give 5 starts simply because I would prefer a harder song nothing more... Get one!

5 comments about Remedy Club Tour Edition (CD+DVD).

  1. As others have said, this is a great CD+DVD set. You get a full concert DVD in 5.1, in 16x9 widescreen format and you get an audio CD of the same concert. Both CD and DVD are well produced. Bonus features include a great documentary and little slices of time with each band member showing how they play select parts... I just can't say enough positive about this set, I wish every worship pastor/record artist would put out a package like this.

  2. This DVD/CD is awesome. The rearrangements for David Crowder's songs are phenomenal. I actually like the live recordings better than the studio's. Not only do you get the entire live performance in 5.1 surround sound glory, you get a documentary following the band's tour as well as instructional videos done by each individual band member for the songs.

    The highlights of this performance:

"Neverending"- David Crowder pulls out a modified Guitar Hero Controller that is actually a fully functional musical instrument

"Can You Feel it?" - A trippy techno-esque performance that was DJ'd/mixed on the spot by each band member on stage.

    "Foreverandever etc" - The keytar!

I Saw the Light - DC*B does bluegrass gospel with banjos!

Every song is different and each is awesome in its own way. The lyrics are really inspirational (I love "Remedy"), and seeing the worship live by the entire congregation is a much different experience than listening to the studio recordings. Even better I can take these tracks on my Zune to get through my long days at the university.

Can't say good enough things about DC*B Remedy Club Tour. It's definitely a keeper. Also check out Skillet's "Comatose Comes Alive", their live performance on DVD/CD of the Comatose tour (premiers October 22nd)

  3. Five Stars from the great white north!
Having been to seven DC*B Concerts, and been able to meet with most of the band several times, we can't say enough great things about this combo set! These guys are incredible!
Filming the Remedy Club Tour was a great idea for those of us who couldn't attend their live concerts in the big cities they toured through. We really miss being on the concert path, but not the big city life, so this was a welcome addition to our DVD collection!
    "Our God is here!
    We believe You're here
    We can feel You here
    We can see You here
    We believe You're here
    You are here
    You are here!"

  4. Well, I see that David Crowder himself already chimed in with a comment on another review here. Perhaps we'll be graced with his presence on this one as well.

I've been a huge DC*B fan since the time "Can You Hear Us" was first placed on Christian bookstore shelves across the country. The band has always offered something fresh compared to the rest of the current market / industry, and I applaud them for staying true to who they are and what they desire to be.

The problem for me with Remedy and the Remedy Club tour is that who they are and perhaps what they're aspiring to be, just isn't my cup-of-tea anymore. This isn't their fault, I'm just not as interested in their more recent recordings and creativity as I was in their older releases. That being said, before I get into specific comments on the Remedy Club Tour recording itself, I'll state my thoughts on additional DC*B recordings.

"Can You Hear Us" - I purchased this album and contacted friends and family letting them know that a new artist was on the scene and they needed to purchase this album immediately. It was absolutely fantastic!

"Illuminate" - Wow. This album truly blew me away. On a scale of 1-10 I would definitely be willing to offer this album an 11. I don't believe I've heard this good of an album since Steve Taylor's "squint" - and while nothing may ever top "/Squint", the DC*B sure made the best possible effort to do so. (I'm showing my age by speaking of Steve Taylor, I'm sure.)

"Sunsets and Sushi" - new recordings from Illuminate...sign me up!

"A Collision" - This is different. I like it, sort of. It's certainly creative and I like that the band decided to be a little more artistic and stretch themselves and the listeners a bit. I'll be sure to tell family and friends what songs they'll like.

"B Collision" - more of the same...I'll purchase it. But was it worth the cost?

"Remedy" - Well, we're back to recording an album of songs and not 4 different parts to a bigger story. It's OK, I guess. Too bad it's only got 6 tracks on it that that are new original songs as "The Glory of It All", "Everything Glorious", "O For A Thousand Tongues", and "Rain Down" have all been done before. (minus "O For a Thousand Tongues" by the DC*B...but it's been done.)

"Remedy Club Tour" - Man, with so much great stuff the DC*B has put out there over the past 6 years, I'm limited to hearing mainly the tracks from "Remedy" and "A Collision". How sad.

    My thoughts:

I'm Trying To Make You Sing (A Collision) - This is a great opener for the album. I cannot commend the DC*B enough for beginning the recording with this track. Superb choice!

The Glory of It All (Remedy) - Another great track and recording. I may enjoy the "God of Our City" a little more, but the keyboard part is played correctly on this one. That's a plus.

Can You Feel It? (Remedy) - Don't get me wrong, this is a great track, and I'm glad it's on the album. However, it's got a very similar feel to "Do No t Move" which is far-better in my opinion. Still, I'm glad to have this live recording of it.

Everything Glorious (Remedy) - A good track, and it needed to be on here.

...Neverending... (Remedy) - No offense, but I've never really liked this song. It sounds a little too much like summer camp and doesn't go with other things the band has written. Hearing it live doesn't help.

Here is Our King (A Collision) - Yes, this one also needed to be included. Glad to have it on one pure DC*B live recording and not mixed in with all the other Passion artists. A great song!

You Are My Joy (A Collision) - this track is decent, but certainly not one of my favorites. Having it on the original album and a Passion recording was enough for me.

We Won't Be Quiet (Remedy) - very much like "We Win" from A Collision. Nothing new under the sun with this one...and having it live is OK, but it certainly isn't a standout on the album. Again, I feel like I should be at summer camp.

Foreverandever Etc (A Collsion) - It's OK...but A Collision certainly had some better choices than this one.

A Beautiful Collision (A Collision) - finally, this is one of the best tracks...now we're getting somewhere again.

Never Let Go (Remedy) - I love this song. I really do.

Remedy (Remedy) - The lyrics of this song are spectacular. I'm never one to criticize DC's lyrics. He's a poet, that's for sure. I love to hear an acoustic re-rendered version of this one.

I Saw the Light (A Collision) - Didn't we already get this on the original album and on B Collision? I'm sure this song is a blast to play live and a blast to participate in live. But hearing it on a recording does very little for the vibe that likely happens in a live setting. DC*B -- Please let this one die...

No One Like You (Illuminate) - Wow - they actually decided to put a track from Illuminate on here. Yes, it needed to be included, but why, why, why only two tracks from the best album? It's just sad.

O Praise Him (Illuminate) - Well, this HAD to make the recording. Still, absolutely nothing from "Can You Hear Us" and only these two tracks from "Illuminate". Oh well... at least I've got those albums on hand.

Surely We Can Change (Remedy) - a good track to end with. Our team has done this one live a couple of times with some wonderful multi-media background images to go along with it. A tear-jerker when done well.

    Overall pros:
It's a decent effort from one of the most brilliant lyricists of our time and the DC*B as a whole. I love these guys...I really do. I'll give it 3.5 stars (7 of 10). I rounded it down to help out the amazon 'curve'.

    Cons:
The acoustic feel and flare that was once a staple of the DC*B with some nice melodic electric guitar blends and riffs has died and everything now focuses more on the electric / rocking side of things. This works well for tracks like "No One Like You" but hearing an entire album without any beautiful acoustic guitar work saddens me. I'd love to hear some recordings like the demo of "Heaven Came Down", "Obsession", and many others played live. Throwing in tracks like "Coming Toward" as an intro to something else would be nice, too.

As another person already posted, including the chords on the DVD to have them available while playing is a joke. I applaud the effort, but I agree, when somebody sees that lyrics / chords are included, they expect to see a PDF file they can print out and play along with. I love that the Vineyard "Dwell" album had both the downloadable file and a DVD to watch the artists play along. (This isn't a knock on the DC*B themselves, just the industry as a whole for thinking this is what people really want. Six Step Records should know better. If you want people to purchase the CD and not just download the tracks from itunes, amazon, or heaven-forbid -- the Zune Marketplace, you'd better give them what they want.)

    What I'd love to have:
The DC*B has enough stuff to put out a 2+ hour 2-CD set incorporating old and new recordings into one solid concert. While I appreciate that this was the "Remedy Club Tour" and therefore many tracks from Remedy had to be incorporated, I'd love to hear some throwbacks and have a longer concert to experience. Additionally, mixing the tracks so that one can actually hear DC's acoustic guitar being played would definitely be beneficial. It's sad that a great-sounding musician with great-sounding gear often isn't heard on a recording such as this.

  5. This CD/DVD combo has tons of good stuff for the price of a regular CD. These are some of my favorite features:

-the whole concert in 5.1 surround
-the set list for this show is a great combination of songs from their last few CDs.
-the behind the scenes and "learn the songs" features are awesome for any musician. They all go into extraordinary detail on their setups, right down to walking through each pedal on their pedalboards! (for the guitarists). It's also great to find out about the more unusual instruments they have going on (i.e., toy robot, guitar hero controller, keytar, toy piano, etc.). Even for non-musicians, it gives you a great insight and appreciation for the music they make.

All of this is in addition to the fact that this band is wonderfully innovative and has a great sound on top of deep, meaningful, lyrical content. If you like DCB, you'll love them after this DVD. If you've never heard em, this is a great intro and you'll be left wanting more.

  1. I can't review this product because I have not received it and it is now a month after I ordered it, and my credit card has been charged.

  2. There is not enough that I can say about this album. I got this album from Amazon way back in December of 2007 and I love it! Sanctified,Alright, All That Is Within Me, Goodbye Ordinary, you name it! Not one song I can't recommend. Mercy me has taken a while to grow on me as I started out with one of their most controversial/mixed review albums...Coming Up To Breathe. You know, I didn't even know until recently that this Bart Millard wrote " I can only Imagine!" I wasn't really into contemporary christian music when I checked out Coming Up To Breathe and almost turned away from it. But as I listened to it more often and made a bold move and purchased other albums of theirs, I started realizing more of the passion for Christ that this band has and that they're great songwriters. True God-given talent. Rock on with more great music, mercy me! This is a definite winner! You reign is also a great song. God With Us is by far the best song on this album and maybe the best song in Contemporary Christian Music! Its no wonder KLOVE played this song so much. So much truth in it!

  3. This CD was delivered promptly and very reasonably priced, would recommend to anyone who buys CD!!

  4. Well I gave this album a good listen and it has a few songs that are really good. The best song in my opinion is "God With Us" it is awesome, however, this album does not have enough rock feel to it like the coming up to breathe album had, I miss the heavy electric guitar like in the awesome mini solo near the end of "Something About You" on the previous album I loved that and they need more of that in their songs. Also, I dont like the sound like its an orchestra at the beginning of some songs.

Overall it was a decent album, but apart from a few songs the album just seemed thrown together and it didnt seem like the group put as much effort into these songs.

  5. When I hear a song by an artist or group and like it, I tell myself that there's a good chance I'll like more from this person or group. After hearing "God With Us" a number of times I thought I would download this album, knowing I've liked these guys before. After listening one or two times to the entire thing, it became quickly one of my favorite Christian set of songs I've ever experienced (I say this not as a seasoned music critic, just a guy who loves good songs). Literally I love every song here! I can't say that with all the albums I have, who can? From "God With Us" reminding us down here that there's One closer than the air in our lungs to "Almost Home" giving us a glimpse into the future when tears are wiped away at the site of the King and reunited with those we love to "You Reign" telling us through it all Jesus sits on His throne, these songs give life to the walk we call the human journey with others and our Companion. May they continue to be inspired and spread the incredibly Good News of Jesus, His coming and our hope.

  1. I was surprised to see that Amazon still had this product for sale. I own the CD and LOVE it! I have yet to see the DVD and I recently found out that it will be awhile before that will happen as the DVD has been pulled from the stores. The following is a direct quote from the Hillsong Australia music website regarding the DVD:

"It was recently brought to our attention that Michael Guglielmucci's illness is not what we have been led to believe. Michael has confirmed that he is not suffering with a terminal illness and is seeking professional help in Adelaide with the support of his family. This news has come as a great shock to everyone including, it seems, his own wife and family.

We were obviously shocked at Michael Guglielmucci's confession that he does not have a life-threatening illness. Because of the visual nature of the DVD, we are removing all footage of Michael and are planning to replace current stock with the re-mastered DVD shortly. With regard to the CD, we are working with our distributors and retailers to assess what further action is required."

Please be in prayer for Michael, his family and our brothers and sisters at Hillsong.

  2. What can I say... I absolutely love Hillsong's music and style of worship, so I just had to add this album to my Gospel/Christian Music arsenal. There are a variety of tracks and I'm sure you'll love them all.

This album is the total package and what I've been waiting for for a while now. If you love to worship, if you love to Praise God, this is the Album for you.

Also if you want to get the full effect of each performance, Get the DVD. Note: Some parts from the DVD are NOT on the CD. When you get it, you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. Watch it alone, watch it with friends, just WATCH IT! Truly inspiring and amazing to see so many people (young people) praising our God.

  3. I bought this through the Hillsong website as I can never wait until the US release. This did not disappoint. The glory of God was shining through these great worship leaders. Not a bad song in the bunch. My favorite was "Healer." Hopefully the US version will include the documentary on it, because that told an amazing story.

If you are a Hillsong fan, you will not be disappointed in the purchase of either the DVD or the CD.
