5 comments about Maemuki Rocket Dan: Pokémon Theme.

  1. Our beloved Team Rocket is back, and in top form, as always, with this new single. Maemuki Rocket-dan is only 3 tracks long (the original song, a karaoke version, and a funky techno remix), but it's definitely worth it. The music is so catchy, I can't help but dance along with it, and the message of positivity and optomism that our heroes sing about puts a smile on my face every time. The album also includes a sticker sheet and lots of cute pictures of Jessie, James, Meowth, and their pokemon. Highly recommended for anybody who loves Pokemon or Team Rocket!

  2. This is the greatest Cd ever!!!!!!!!! I mean it's Team Rocket it's a cool song with remixes I don't know what else to say

  3. Japans Latest Team Rocket CD comes in the form of 3 Songs. They are

    1) Future Facing Team Rocket (extended Version)
    2) karaoke Version
    3) DJ Remix/Funky beat

The CD also comes complete with a small sheet of Team Rocket Stickers and comes in a full size CD single case as opposed to the slim Bookmark type card case. By far the best is the first song which is an extended version on Season 4 ending theme (song number #11) It tells of Team Rocket looking towards the future and features Wobuffet popping up and shouting his name in japanese. Song Number 2 is the karaoke Version minus the words (very Tricky to sing along too) and the final song is just plain weird, its kinda like a DJ mix but with a bit of funk added and... well trust me to describe it you would need to hear it yourself as its Very Different.

The CD is a nice good all round CD and the Stickers are a neat touch. Slighly Pricey considering the total play length about 9-10mins but if you are Die-hard TR fans then you will want it.

  4. This is the latest single to come out of Japan, and it's based on the popular ending from the fourth season of the show, "Maemuki Roketto Dan" or "Positive Future Team Rocket". There are only three tracks on this CD, which are Maemuki Roketto Dan, followed by a karaoke version then a DJ remix version, which is actually kind of odd. Unlike the other singles which came in special pocket sized cases, this mini-cd comes in a full sized case, though half as thick. The small booklet features tiny pictures of TR, some from episodes that haven't made it to the states yet, and comes with a sheet of stickers with the Team Rocket logo printed on them.
There are no other extras to be found on the CD, and the CD clocks in at just under nine minutes. However, if you're a die-hard Team Rocket and Pokemon fan, it might be worth your money to get these catch tunes.

  5. Another wonderful Team Rocket CD!
It is a single, so there are only 3 tracks:
    1) Maemuki Roketto Dan (Positively Team Rocket)
    2) Maemuki Roketto Dan - Original Karaoke
    3) Maemuki Roketto Dan - REMIX
This single is about the 11th ending theme of Pokémon Anime in Japan. The singers of all the tracks (except the number 2, that is an instrumental track) are: Hayashibara Megumi (Musashi/Jessie), Inuyama Inuko (Nyasu/Meowth) and Miki Shinichirou (Kojiro/James). According to me, the first track is the best! It is very rhythmic and "happy"! The second track is Karaoke (i think that japaneses really like karaoke!), so it is instrumental (and YOU can sing! Yes, sing in japanese isn't so simple, but...). The last track is a simple remix of the first... But it is very strange! It's impossible to explain the rhythm of this song! When you will hear it, you will understand!
Therefore, if you are a Pokemon Fan, i reccomend this CD to you, but if you are a Team Rocket fan you must have it!

5 comments about Pokemon 2000: The Power of One.

  1. There are sixteen tracks on this CD, but only fourteen are pop vocal tracks. The last two tracks on the disc are score pieces (one is from the "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure Short," while the other comes from the actual film). The score piece from the short is done in such a way that it fits in with the pop vocal tracks. However, the score piece from the film stands out like a sore thumb in comparison to the other tracks on the disc.

Most of the artists included on this disc make it obvious the CD was being aimed at a young audience. The CD includes songs by Dreamstreet, Angela Via, plus ONE, Laura Pausini, Westlife, Youngstown, Nobody's Angel, and O-Town. The exceptions to this would be Donna Summer, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and The B-52's.

While this soundtrack has a rather cohesive sound sonically, the teen pop songs included sound rather similar and interchangeable, especially as you get further along in the CD. In my opinion, the best songs on the CD is "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Polkamon" and Donna Summer's "The Power of One." The worst songs, in my opinion, are Devotion 2 Music's "Blah, Blah, Blah" and Youngstown and Nobody's Angel's version of "Pokemon World." And I was rather disappointed by The B-52's contribution; it just sounds rather flat in comparison to their other songs.

The disc also includes Hyperlock software, which enables the owner of the CD to access special film footage through a special website.

If you're a Pokemon fan who must have everything Pokemon-related, if you're a fan of teen pop music from 2000, or there's a song by your favorite artist on CD and this is the only way to obtain it, then you should purchase this CD. If you don't fit into one of the above groups, then you probably wouldn't have much of an interest in acquiring this CD.

  2. Every song on this CD is great for anyone who loves Pokémon and understands how awesome the games are.

  3. I'll review each track:

    1. Power of One - First track to use the word "one" in its name. Utterly slow. Hey Donna Summer, what happened to disco? 2/10

    2. Dreams - Utterly slow. Hey Alysha, you're two years older than me. 1/10

    3. They Don't Understand - Utterly bad. Just so you know, Dream Street is broken up. Thus, no more of their whiny songs like this. 1/10

    4. Wonderland - Utterly bad and slow. Hey Angela Via, wrong movie soundtrack. 0/10

    5. With All Your Heart - Utterly slow. One of the last ever boy bands. When 2001 ended, boy bands died. 1/10

    6. So generic, I don't feel like typing in its name. 0/10

    7. Flying Without Wings - Utterly slow. If you want Irish bands, check out the Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly and the Tossers instead. 1/10

    8. Pokemon World - Utterly bad. If you're a fan of Youngstown and Nobody's Angel.. you'll still hate this. 0/10

    9. Blah Blah Blah - Utterly okay. Who the hell are these people? 4/10

    10. Polkamon - Utterly AWESOME! 8/10

    11. The Chosen One - Utterly AWESOMER! Also, second track to use the word "one" in its name. 10/10

    12. One Heart - Third track to use the word "one" in its title. 0/10

    13. One - No, I'm not kidding about this. Its name is "one". 0/10

    14. Comin' To - Wow, actual beats. 5/10

    15. No. 1/10

    16. Legend - Good. 7/10

    Grade: 41/160: F-

If you purchase this album, remember to keep tracks 1, 2, 4, 6 and 13 VERY seperated, otherwise, you'll never them them apart. Same for 5, 7, and 14.

  4. My Pokemon-obsessed ten year-old borrowed this CD three times at the library. When the renewals were used up I decided to order it for his collection.

What surprised me about this CD was that the whole family didn't mind listening to it over and over in the car. I have a short tolerance level for Pokemon. But this CD has some strong "power ballads", cute pop tunes and the very entertaining Weird Al Polka (everybody Polka mon-get it?) The song "Blah, Blah, Blah" humorously addresses all of the adults who don't understand the obsession.

The production values are good too. Some children's CD's have second rate orchestrations, digital mastering, etc. This is a professional recording.

  5. "Polkamon" by Weird Al is the only song I like on any Pokemon album. In fact, I think it is the only thing that has anything to do with Pokemon that I really care about anymore. Well, I'll be honest, the game isn't too bad, but the anime is laughably awful, and don't even get me started on the card game. But anyway, I would love Al to re-release "Polkamon" on some collection of rarities in the future. However, other than that, I can't stand the music on here at all. I used to own it, but I tossed it.

  1. This CD is exactly the same as "The lord of the unknown tower", but this edition comes in a metallic box. Just a better presentation for the same CD. Perfect if you want to catch'em all or if you dont't have the other one, but a waste of money if you only want music (excellent music).

5 comments about Pokemon: 2.B.A. Master.

  1. My son loves dancing and singing along to this CD - he'll even put it on in the morning before school. He also listens to it while he's reading his Diamond & Pearl Official Guide Book. Fun music for Pokemon fans!

  2. The songs on this CD are great songs that are really surprising to hear. Suprising because of how the songs are expertly presented in multiple genres while still maintaining a unique feel that is clearly at home with Pokémon. Even though the CD was released in the '90s, the songs can still compete with the recent releases. As a bonus, the CD comes with a PokéRAP video which can be used on a computer. This CD combines great songs with great Pokémon flavor, and is one that should not be missed.

  3. Let me begin by saying I'm fifteen. It was when I was eight that I first discovered Pokemon, and feel instantly in love with it. I had the games, the movies, the cards and everything. Around 2002, however, my interest waned and I gradually stopped collecting Pokemon, only playing one of the games now and then. Recently, however, I dug up this old CD in my closet and, having nothing better to do, decided to give it another shot.

Was I surprised! Eight years later, I'm still nodding my head, tapping my foot and (heaven forbid) singing to the catchy little tunes on 2.B.A. Master that amused me so much when I was younger. Now, how about a quick rundown of the songs?

    1. Pokemon Theme
How can you go wrong here? The traditional theme of the anime, though in it's extended form. Nothing exicting, but a classic for tried-and-true fans.
    8/10

    2. 2.B.A Master
The namesake of the CD, though as to why sorta baffles me. The song in itself isn't all that great. It reminds me of some twisted combination of bubbly pop and pseudo-rap with a Pokemon coating, though that's probably a really bad description. Youc an safely pass this track up.
    5/10

    3. Viridian City
Oh wow...This one bring back memories...My favorite song on the CD when I was younger, and remains so today. Yeah, the lyrics are cheesy, but the beat itself is fun and fast-paced. And despite the rather corny lyrics, you just can't help but sing along at times.
    9/10

    4. What Kinds Of Pokemon Are You?
"Very Ehhh" is the only way to describe it. Another pseudo-rap that's only sub-par. It's essentially a guy naming all the Pokemon types and what sort of attacks they have. Still, it has its moments.
    5/10

    5. My Best Friends
The first of the trio of emotional songs on the CD. I can't put my finger on why I like it, but there's simply something about "My Best Friends" that makes me smile. It does sound very similar to the more popular "Together Forever", though.
    8.5/10

    6. Everything Changes
For the longest time I hated this song, I really did. But I gave it a chance and eventually it grew on me. Anyways, "Everything Changes" gets off to a verrrrrry slow start. In fact, you only get into the meat of the song about 1 minute in. That aside, it's not too shabby.
    6.5/10

    7. The Time Has Come
The second emotional track on 2.B.A. Master. Probably the slowest song yet, but don't let that deter you. The music itself is very beautiful and stunning at times, and the lyrics fit, I suppose. The only downside is I find the singer's voice to be off for some reason. But then, that's just my opinion.
    8/10

    8. Pokemon Dance Mix
Perfect for raising your spirits after the heartfelt "The Time Has Come". Makes for an exellent workout track with an almost techno-y feel to it. The typically corny Pokemon lyrics aren't too bad in this one, either.
    9/10

    9. Double Trouble
When I was younger, even my mom loved this track (but then, she's a Team Rocket fan)! And for good reason, I might add. Captures the Tema Rocket spirit perfectly - villainous with a tad of humor and wackyness. It's surprisingly well-sung considering the singers are using the voices of their characters rather than their actual singing voices.
    8.5/10

    10. Together Forever
Not quite as nice as "My Best Friends", in my opinion, but "Togther Forever" does a nice job of wrapping up the emotional trio of tracks. The beginning is very nice, and the song itself is uplifting.
    8/10

    11. Misty's Song
Ughhhh...The worst song on the CD. It's not that I don't like the pairing of Ash and Misty (I don't care either way), but this song is simply terrible. It's a cheap shot at a slow ballad that has no substance whatsoever. The lyrics are the corniest yet, and the singer's voice is rather nasally. Please, do yourself a favor and skip this track!
    2/10

    12. Pokerap
Puts your faith back in the Pokemon franchise after the dissapointing "Misty's Song". Pokerap is a compilation of the ending clips shown in the first season of the anime. It features two guys reciting the first 150 Pokemon peppered with some cute dialogue. While it doesn't sound like much, it's quite entertaining and catchy.
    7.5/10

    13. You Can Do It
The obligatory motivational track. While not bad in itself, it just doesn't fit the theme of Pokemon. Yeah, it touches upon the chasing after your dreams and reaching high sort of themes, but it feels out of place for some reason. Really, it's one of those songs you either love or hate.
    6/10

Overall? Yeah, 2.B.A. Master is an exellent purchase, whether you're a long-time Pokemon Fan or a younger enthusiast. It provides some fun and peppy music even if you're not a die-hard fan.

    -Reviwed by AiriKitsune

  4. Our six year old son likes it alot, he loves music, and he loves Pokemon, so of course we got this CD for him, for Christmas. He particularly likes number 7- The time has come, Pikachu's good-bye.

  5. This is probably the best Pokémon CD out there.

    1. Pokemon Theme-9/10. The first theme song!
    2. 2 B A Master-8/10.
    3. Viridian City-10/10. Love it.
    4. What Kind of Pokemon Are You?-10/10. So memorable.
    5. My Best Friends-10/10! Some of the verses aren't the greatest but the refrain is very beautiful.
    6. Everything Changes-10/10 too. Powerful message.
    7. The Time Has Come-10/10...seeing a pattern? These emotionally charged songs are great. And there's no way to tell this is from Pokemon.
    8. Pokemon-8/10.
    9. Double Trouble-10/10! Go Team Rocket! Always my favorites. Need more Butch and Cassidy though; they deserve their own DVD volume or CD or something.
    10. Together Forever-10/10. Awesome song for a friend.
    11. Misty's Song-9.5/10. I'm not a Misty/Ash shipper but this is a good song. I heard it first in the Pokemon Live show.
    12. Pokerap-9/10.
    13. You Can Do It If You Really Try-7/10. Not too shabby.

Overall an excellent,pokemon-centric album for all fans. ;)

4 comments about Can You Draw Pokemon?.

  1. This is a strange and very funny CD! These are 5 tracks:
    1) Pokémon Kakeru Kana? (Can you draw all the Pokémon?)
    2) Hai Asa Desu Yo! (Yes it's morning!)
    3) Gunya Gunya Gasu Gasu (Gunya-gunya Gas-gas)
    4) Aa Marumain (Ah Electrode)
    5) Kureyon de Pokémon (Pokémon with crayons)
The singer of all the songs is "Imakuni?" (you must write the interrogative point next to his name! I don't know why, but in japanese this name is write in this way) but in the third song an american man, Raymond, sings with him.
This CD comes with a little booklet that contains the lyrics and the information (Singer, Lyricist, Composer, etc.) of all the 5 songs. Of course, all is write in japanese!
The songs are strange, so you can also don't like them, but if you are a Pokémon Fan you must have this CD!

  2. This CD just scared me, particularly the 3rd song...

  3. This is a great CD. Although it is aimed at younger kids, since it's in Japanese it is very funny. There are 5 tracks. I don't know what they're called(I can't read Japanese) but sound cool. The lyrics booklet has a really cute scene on the front of Pikachu, Ghastly(Ghos), Chansey(Lucky), Ditto(Metamo), and several others. They each have a giant crayon(a little taller than Pikachu) and are drawing themselves. The first track is really long, compared to most American songs. It mentions Pikachu several times. Most of the lines are sung by a man, followed by the same line sung by a bunch of kids. At the end, the man sings this word (sounds like "Katiena") over and over(fading out) while you hear the kids acting like Pikachus running away from something. The second track is really short, happy, and poppy. The third one is the weirdest. It has some English in it, and is about the same length as the first one. I think this song is about a Ditto (Metamo) transforming into a Ghastly(Ghos). There are 2 singers: an English man and a Japanese man. There's 2 parts where the English guy says some Japanese stuff with an English accent. It's strange. In the beginning he says "How's your pen groovin' today?" That's what it says in the lyrics book, so I'm not hearing wrong. There's also a part when the Japanese guy says "Come on kids!" with a Japanese accent. I wouldn't have any idea that that was English if it weren't for the lyrics book. Anyway, the really weird part in this song is when it has the Japanese guy saying something in Japanese, then the English guy says "Paint it black!" They keep repeating those lines. Then the Japanese guy says "Gas gas gas!" followed by the English guy saying the same thing. They keep repeating those lines, too. Then you hear what is supposed to be Ghastly. He says: "Yeah! I am GHOS! Hoo hee hee ha ha." That is probably the weirdest part in this CD. The third one is incredibly short, at around 20 seconds, yet it's my favorite. It's a nice calm Japanese-ish sounding song, to releive you of the poppy jumpy songs prior to this one. It's just weird that at the end, a bunch of kids yell "MOOOOO! ". The last song is another one similar in length as the 1st and 3rd, and is another fairly calm one. It starts off with a cow mooing, then the doorbell ringing over and over(like many kids like to do). Then you hear a Japanese lady saying something about Pokémon. This song's got a lot of cool lyrics that mention "Pokémon". Two of them sound like "Your envy to the Pokémon" and "Koojeebay need a Pokémon". A pretty neat song. Overall, I think this CD is a must-have. For a good price, too.

  4. I was able to purchase this CD at a local Chinatown and I couldn't wait to listen to it since I was a Pokemon fan. The songs where pretty good (even though I couldn't understand the words) and I also liked the beats.
