2 comments about Sky Flying Pokemon Kids.

  1. This is the soundtrack from Pikachu's Exploration Party, the short that preceeds Revelation Lugia, the second Pokémon movie. All of the tracks are in Japanese, except for tracks 5 and 6, which are karaoke. The music on this CD is great, despite the title. I thought that this might be a bit too childish for me to enjoy, but I was wrong: the music is upbeat and fun to listen to, and doesn't even hint at being too "kiddy". I especially like track 4, mamanodaijinapokemon (which means "Momma's Favourite Pokémon" i think!). This track has really good lyrics and there's a superb guitar solo near the end of it.

This CD is a must for anyone who liked the Japanese short, and comes highly recommended to all. Remember, it's likely that the soundtrack for the US version of the short will be rewritten, so you'll never hear any of this music at the cinema or on TV.

  2. This is a great CD, with almost completely Japanese tracks. It is a great buy if you understand Japanese.

2 comments about Can You Play Pokemon on Musical Instruments?.

  1. Not only does this CD have 16 beautifully done "classical" pieces from the Pokemon TV series, but comes with an 86 page music guide! This is a quality production for any fan of Pokemon or any conisseur of fine instrumental music! One of my favourite CD's in my collection.

  2. This is one cool CD! It has music from both the anime and game!(cycling music, surfing music, gym music etc.) You can also play along with the sheet music included inside the book. If you are a Pokemon fan and can play a musical instrument, then this is the CD for you! Probably one of the best soundtracks around.

5 comments about Pokemon: Best Collection.

  1. This is an awesome CD. Not only do I like to play the Game Boy games of Pokemon, but I also like the music. But I recently found out that I like the Japanese Pokemon albums better than I do the American albums. Sure, I love songs like "Viridian City" and "Double Trouble (Team Rocket)", but this one tops those songs alone. Rika Matsumado (Did I spell that right?) is a wonderful singer, even though I can't understand what she sings, but her voice is so strong. I have another Japanese CD that she sings on which I will review in a little bit, and her voice sounds a lot better on that one. I recommend this CD especially if you are a fan of Pokemon.

  2. First and foremost, don't think it's "lame" just because it's "Pokemon." This is the Japanese version, and I treat it much differently than I do the dub. DON'T LET OTHERS FOOL YOU. There WERE changes to the English version. As for myself, I feel that the music [of the Japanese version] is very good. I just never get tired of listening to the songs on this cd! If you are Pocket Monsters fan, or even an open-minded Pokemon fan, get this cd.

  3. There are two entries for this album from two different manufacturers. One is a bootleg (I believe). This one is the real thing (I also believe). So I'm going to use the same review I used over on the other one. The review follows...

I'm going to admit to you one thing right off: I am a fan of Pokemon. But not ALL Pokemon. For example, the American anime is bad. The marketing to small children is bad (I'm not under 10, just so you know). The pure sickening merchandising and bundled music (on the American CDs) is bad. But I did not mention two things: The game (It's still great and unique, even if it is a little childish, but it's still great for trips) and the Japanese music. It is the Japanese music that I am concerned with here.

In my opinion, SOME (not all) of the Japanese Pokemon music is great. And ALL of it is better than the American music, in every single way. So for me to rate this album, I gave it 4 stars. Now to discuss each track:

    1. Mezase Pokemon Master - A very nice rock piece sung by Rika Matsumoto (the voice of Satoshi/Ash in Japan) that was the music to the first opening in Japan. It's quite catchy, and I've managed to memorize most of the lyrics (and for good reason too. It's not bad.) If you've ever played Pokemon Pinball, you know that weird music that doesn't seem to fit in with the rest that's the capture music on the blue board? That's this track, except GameBoy-style.
    2. Natsu Yasumi Fanclub - A kitchy kiddy piece that was used for the opening to Pikachu's Vacation (the sketch before Mewtwo Strikes Back) in Japan. Not bad, but it is a bit kiddy.
    3. Hyaku Gojuu Ichi - The name means 151, just so you know. This is a strange song (But not the strangest. I'll get to that in a bit.) that was used for the first ending in Japan. It's interesting, and better than Natsu Yasumi Fanclub, but not TOO great.
    4. Pokemon Kakerukana? - Another strange song much like Hyaku Gojuu Ichi. This song was used in a CD that was essentially used to give instructions on how to draw Pokemon. Yeah. Weird. But not as strange as the next song.
    5. Utau Pokemon Zukan * Normal Pokemon Part 1 - I have yet to find anything from the CD that this came from, other than this track. It's an interesting ditty that is essentially the Japanese Pokedex, sung (That's what Utau Pokemon Zukan means, Singing Pokedex).
    6. Rocket Dan Yo Eien Ni - For all you Team Rocket fans, this is the track you want. You remember the episode where Jigglypuff was first introduced? You remember the Rockets singing during that ep? Well this is that. But longer. And with the Japanese Rocket Motto thrown into the middle. Interesting, and another fairly good high point on the album. (Did you know that Musashi/Jessie is voiced (in Japan) by Megumi Hayashibara? If you know who that is, then you now know that she sings in this song.)
    7. Pokemon Ierukana? - THIS is the weird song (well, and one more further down the line). Sung by Imakuni? (Yes, the question mark is part of his name). You know the Pokerap? Well, this is the Japanese Pokerap. Except not in rap. And not with the American names. You really don't want to know what types of music are in this. Due to its weirdness, this ranks up there as one of the more INTERESTING tracks of the CD. There's a version for Gold and Silver too (but not on this disc) named Pokemon Ierukana? neo.
    8. Torikaekko Please - This song was used for a commercial in Japan (a lot of commercial songs are released as singles in Japan for some reason) and is essentially a song used to advertise Pokemon Trading Cards. The song has to do with Trading Pokemon Cards.
    9. Pika Pika Massaichu - This one was the counterpart to Natsu Yasumi Fanclub. So it's the ending theme. It's also very kiddy.
    10. Nyaasu no Uta - A very nice song (second ending in Japan) sung by Meowth. It's soft, slow, and almost sad. This might ALSO be because it's about Meowth singing about how lonely he is, as the only pokemon able to speak English/Japanese.
    11. Kaze to Issho ni - The ending to Mewtwo Strikes Back. Very orchestral and grand. And very nice. Nearing the end, we're at the final high point of the album (that lasts through the next two tracks)
    12. Mezase Pokemon Master '98 - Same song, new style. This song was used for the opening of Mewtwo Strikes Back. Just as good as the first version. (There are two other versions, used for the second Neo season, and the fourth movie)
    13. Pokemon Ierukana Baby? - OK. You want weirdness again? One last time before this albums over! You get Ierukana again! But even stranger! This song is a bonus track only available on this album. The others were on singles.

So to sum it up, this CD is a very good one to start your forays into Japanese Pokemon music. It has its high points, and it has its low points. But it's MUCH better than anything released over here. There are other Singles you may want to find too (As this only covers releases through the first movie) including: OK! (The first Neo Opening song), Nyaasu no Party (Another ending song during the second half of the Orange Islands), toi et moi (Ending to Revelation Lugia, done by Namie Amuro. Good way to start getting into JPop, though not the best), and Ready Go! (The latest opening theme. As the latest movie and its singles have come out in Japan, this song (redone) is probably one the opening. I'm eager to hear it).

  4. I have to admit, when I first ordered this item all I cared about was the promos. But, when I slaped the CD in my CD player I was amazed and surprised! It actually sounded pretty cool? I'm the webmaster of the Cyber gym and I think that if your into Pokémon as much as I am, this CD is a MUST! The mew promo alone can run up to $60-$100! Plus you get 10 other Japanese promos and some are even Holofoil! So, slap down the 50 bucks and pick this up while there still around!

  5. This is a great CD! The music is great, and the Promo cards are even better! I would give it a 5 stars, but it's pretty expensive.

5 comments about Pokemon: The First Movie (Original Motion Picture Score).

  1. Music is commonly overlooked in most movies, but Pokémon's First shows that there is more to music than you might expect. So much so, that there are two separate soundtracks to Pokémon: The First Movie. The music on this soundtrack is purely orchestral, and is so great sometimes it's hard to think this music was playing throughout the movie. On its own, this soundtrack shines; together, it makes a great movie.

  2. This CD gives what you want, and more. It comes with all of the main themes of the movie, (Mewtwo's theme becomes even more evident when you don't have to look and listen to characters) and even some music which you can't hear due to voices and sound effects.

The orchestration is brilliant. And the sound quality is so good you can practically pick out each individual instrument from the smush and identify it. (no it's not all synthesised! If you listen to the DVD the producers even say that first they put it on a computer program which imitates an orchestra, THEN they actually get a real orchestra to perform it in the studio!)

It even comes with the music from the mini movie which is a bonus cos I love the music on Pikachu's Vacation, even though it is corny.

I'd get it even if I weren't a major Mewtwo worshipper. I just love the orchestral soundtracks! *waits for nonexistant third movie soundtrack* ^-^

  3. I have this Cd and it's hard to belive that this wonderful music didn't win any awards. Whats wrong with them just because it was made by the people from pokemon doesn't mean they don't work. It's like a priceless gem. If your a music fan or a pokemon fan or anyone I recomend this.

  4. How does this soundtrack deserve one star you ask? It's complex, but it is entire justified, seeing as Pokemon's popularity has died dramatically. This CD is one of the reasons why.

When Pokemon The First Movie came out, I had high hopes. This was the movie that would make or break Pokemon. Unfortunately, due to ridiculous script changes, bad voice acting, and a completely (and unreasonable) new soundtrack, the movie was ruined. So was Pokemon. The original score was dark, beautiful, and exciting. This one... well wasn't much of anything. I don't think people today understand how vital a soundtrack is to a movie. By removing the original soundtrack, they have removed any character and depth that the movie contained and replaced it with the blandness and superficiality of a "Batman" cartoon.

I honestly don't understand the reviews here. The music is bland and unexciting. And I certainly don't see in any way how this soundtrack is a lick better than the original Japanese soundtrack ("Birth of" CD Boxset, do try it!) One only needs to listen to the actual soundtrack found on that boxset, and realize how much better it is than this contrived junk.

The truth of the matter is, WB thought they could save a few bucks and pay one of their "Justice League" or "Jackie Chan Adventures" (one of those poorly rated and failed WB shows) synthesizers to conjure up some sort of soundtrack to fill in 70 minutes of movie time. Such filthy treatment of a franchise that had been so good to them is deplorable. Because the WB didn't take care of Pokemon, it went downhill.

Let it be known that the WB ruined Pokemon by being cheap, ineffective, and by robbing Pokemon of the premises that made it great, such as original music, script, and decent voice acting. 4Kids had the right idea to stick to as close to the Japanese as possible, but when WB came into the picture, the WB toiled and tampered with Pokemon making it more Americanized and contrived, and thus, the WB ruined the franchise. This CD is one of the factors, and the damage that it has caused is why this CD fails as a Pokemon product.

  5. I brought this cd because I love Pokemon the first movie and I think it has some wonderful music. My favorite track is by far Mew's Theme, even if it is only 30 seconds long. Mew is my favorite Pokemon and the song is very cute. If your a fan of the first Pokemon movie, this cd is a must.

5 comments about Birth of Mewtwo.

  1. As is typical *sigh* the Japanese stuff is way better than it's American replacements. The music on the cd is great, and seems to work better to me. The booklet thing is really cool, as it has lots of neat art in it, and the drama is excellent (being a huge Mew/Mewtwo fan, I'm a little biased), and it was awesome how it expanded even more on Mewtwo's backstory.

Overall, a must-have for any Mewtwo, Pokemon, or general anime fan.

  2. This CD is so worth anything you go through to get it (cash, waiting time, etc) What should be known is there are a few surprises in store for the buyer. Not bad surprises though, they're really good.
    1. Music: It's actually rather similar to the dubbed music. When I say this, I mean that you can tell where it's meant to go in the movie. The techniques employed when orchestrating link very closely to the American composers. (such as the eternal xylophone sounds used practiacally EVERYWHERE...)Also in many ways it doesn't sound like 'wacko japanese music' I must say I kinda expected...
    2. Add-on's: They give you little spoken excerpts from the original movie. I don't know who's saying them, apart from when Pikachu sobs: "Pikapi... pikapi...", yet the voices do help to set the scene for the music. Plus it's really nice to hear Mewtwo's Japanese voice for a change.
    3. Instrumentation: I had heard that Mewtwo's theme was played by a pipe organ but didn't really believe it, however, this is very true and very awesome. The Japanese theme for Mewtwo sounds excellent blasted out on the organ and it does really suit those diminished chords like anything.
    4. Tracks: My favourites are 20-25. Seriously, the quality of composition is really high in the higher numbers. If you're strongly affected by music, you may shed a tear or two, especially if you know what's happening. Pikachu gets in here, as well as a kawaii little Japanese singer with a gorgeous voice. Probably the most weirdest is number 17. (I think it's where they're all fleeing the Mewtwo Pokeballs, but that's just me...) And one really funny bit in the first couple of tracks where suddenly the music launches into a really well-known Pokemon Theme. (i'd sing it, but it's hard to descibe.) And then, of course, it moves into the waffling tenor sax track for Team Rocket. (deedum, deedum, deedummmm...)

I advise it GREATLY!!! The quality of everything is maybe even more better than what the dub people released. (is this possible?!)

  3. It took me about 2 years or so before i actually could get the real thing but once I did close to a year ago now I was so happy! The Japanese version of the world of Pocket Monsters is very different than what you would expect to see in america and this cd shows it. The Birth of mewtwo (Myustuu No Tanjo) contains one book and 2 cds in one case. The first cd contains 5 chapters to it. It starts from before Mewtwo was even discovered and a bit of a preview of how he came to be. It starts off with Sakaki (Giovanni) narrarating about the discovery of pokemon and eventually it gets to telling the story about the team rocket founder Madam Boss ( Sakaki/Giovanni's mother) talking to her top Team Rocket agent Miyamoto (Jessie/Musashi's mother)who tells madam boss aobut her new discovery, the legendary phantom pokemon mew! Madam boss learns what Miya tells her about mew and Miyamoto is sent to the Andes mountians in South America to chase after mew. Once Miya finds mew she tells it about how she left her daughter to capture it and asks if she can but mew flies away and leaves Miyamoto to be crushed by an avalanche.
In the next chapter people get this confused and think that Miyamoto died from the avalanche but in the second chapter right after where she had gotten hit she comes back and starts talking about trying to find mew. Right after she does the scene switches to a bunch of workers the giovanni had hired to search for artifacts of mew. They eventaully find what they think is a fossil of it and give it to Dr.Fugi to research. Dr. Fugi eventually makes baby mewtwo in the end of the second chapter but also talks about his own daughter who he had cloned. His origional daughter's name was Ai but she had died in a car accedent and Dr. Fugi could not bare to understand the death of his daughter so he decides to make a clone of her named Aitwo. Mewtwo is cloned from mew so this is where his name is born. After the creation of mewtwo in the next two chapters its about him growing up and learning more. Mewtwo begins to understand life and that he is not the same. Ai teaches him about himself, pokemon and the way of life. Mewtwo and Ai become best friends but eventually Ai dies and Mewtwo finds himself alone in life just as an experiment and nothing more. He ends up distroying Dr. Fugi's laboratory and comes to Giovanni/Sakaki's side. After working for a while (chapter 5) with Giovanni and becoming more stronger with his powers he defeats several different pokemon and trainers but also finds that Giovanni wants him for no reason but the fact that he is the most rare and valuable pokemon in the world. Mewtwo distroy's Giovanni's gym and sets out to find his own meaning in life, and if he belongs. This is where Pokemon the first movie comes in. The cd drama may cost a lot of money and may take a while to get to your home but believe me its well worth it even if you can't understand Japanese. Its a lot of fun to listen to. I definately recomend this to any diehard pokemon or anime fan!

  4. I have 50 bucks to my name right now and I'm considering buying this ... however, I have the Mp3s downloaded already for free. Why should I buy this? I'm not going to listen to the dialogue since I don't speak japanese.

But I'm buying it because I want the full audio quality that only a CD can bring and with full quality music from the drama ( also used in the TV show, but less orchestrated )its a nice catch. Plus, I can probably rip a few sound effects as long as their not so badly dubbed over that you can't make it out.

I'd recommend that you save your money and search for the download since you can't learn a thing of japanese in the week it'll get there. But, if you know japanese and would love this item its a great buy.

  5. I got this cd set as a gift for Christmas last year, almost nine months ago.
Anyway, when I found it on here, I was estatic. I saw it before on a Japanese website, but unfortuantely it's no longer available now.

Being a very big Mewtwo fan, and fascinated with the Japanese version of Pokemon, I had to have it.

The set comes with two cds. One of them is the radio drama, which I absolutely love. Granted, it is in Japanese. So if you don't know the language, or at least have a translation handy, you'll most likely be in the dark.

The drama goes much deeper into the most misunderstood Pokemon ever, Myuutsu, or Mewtwo. This story reveals a lot that most Pokemon fans in the U.S. doesn't know about him.
He is not the heartless killing machine the Americanized version of Mewtwo Strikes Back portrays him to be.
He is, in fact, very philosohpical on a variety of different subjects. He is also very lost, and very hurt.
How would you like to wake up to a world only to find out that you were created, not born of nature, and that did not want you for other than to be an experiment, some kind of child's plaything?

As a baby, though, he's clueless to all this.
Prepare to be cutified, because he is so adorable, and his voice sounds much like a two-year-olds.
It is within this time frame, he meets his one, and only friend. The daughter of the scientist Dr. Fuji, Ai.
Ai taught him a great many things about the world she knew. The moon, the stars, the sun, and what they were for. She also taught him numbers. Which is extremely cute listening to Mewtwo count.
Ai, or Amber as she is called in the U.S., told him that she was a clone, and he was too.

Sadly, a little later, Ai dies, and this scene makes me cry everytime I hear it. It's just so heartbreaking.

The drama has wonderful background music. If you know the anime very well, you might recognize some of it from there. It also throws a bit of, if not much, light on two characters unknown outside of Japan. Madame Boss, who is the founder of Rocketto Dan, or Team Rocket, and Sakaki's, or Giovanni, mother. And Miyamoto, Musashi's, or Jessie, mother. She was sent on basically a suicide mission to the Andes Mountains to find Mew.

The second cd has the soundtrack of the original Japanese Mewtwo Strikes Back. Let me tell you, it is some of the best music I've ever heard. It's all so haunting, so enchanting. I can't belive the sugary mess they replaced it with. It literally makes my teeth hurt.
    My favorite tracks are #s 5, 12, 13, 21, 22, and 25.

A small, but wonderfully illustrated, 64 page book completes the set. Inside there are very beautiful pictures, and the story of the drama.

If you are a Mewtwo fan, a Team Rocket fan, or just a Pokemon fan in general, I wholeheartedly recommend buying this wonderful cd set, The Birth of Mewtwo.

5 comments about Pokemon (Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture).

  1. This soundtrack is really different from most Pokemon soundtracks, as it's sung by the most modern, best singers! Here's some opinions from me:

-Pokemon Theme; totally techno and a really neat song. You can listen to this all the time and never get tired of it!
-Brother my Brother; a good song, soft (not loud) but it can depict scenes inside your mind pretty well.
-Don't Say You Love Me. I don't understand why a love song is in here, but it's sung by M2M, so I'd have to give them credit--This song might not fit in but it's great!
-If Tears Could Bring You Back is a great song. It's basically for your listening pleasure, as it's really a song you would hear on the radio, and it's fine.

This CD is a fine-tuned CD and the songs are right on beat and have very good timing! I think you should get this CD right away!
-Great for listening in the car.

  2. After owning 2 B A Master, and being literally blown away by Mew vs. Mewtwo, I figured I'd check out the soundtrack. I was hoping that they'd have the actual score from the movie in there - but oh well - some of the songs are just gorgeous. My personal favorites are The Main Theme, Lullabye, and Brother My Brother. Vacation is okay, I've just listened to it so many times. The only thing I don't get - is why is there a love song on there? There was no romance involved in the movie - even with Ash and Misty. Brother My Brother is just beautiful, while Lullabye is cute and a fun-type of song, and the Main Theme is awesome - who'd have thought of making it a techno thing? (and of course, being a fan of techno makes it even more awesome.) The only thing I didn't like was having NSync and Britany Spears on there. They easily could have replaced them with some of the scores from the movie. *sigh* oh well, guess I'll have to just get the score soundtrack. :) But all in all, I really love this album , (even if it is just for 4 songs,) and would reccommend it to anyone who likes uplifting music. :)

  3. I love this cd,it has alot of pop and it has some of my favorite pop singers!

  4. What disapoints me is that the CD,plainly doesn't have anything to do with the movie. I do like the new version of the Poke'mon theme though, and "If only tears could bring you back" and "Brother,my brother" are beautiful songs. I don't get why the main song is "Don't say you love me" because romance is not the main theme of the movie. The rest of the CD is clearly for Teenyboppers. Almost all of the songs are by popular artists and have nothing to do with Pokemon. My theory:Money.
I reccomend this CD to EXTREME Poke'mon fans and teenyboppers(Kids who are obsessed with popular music artists for example Britney Spears,N*Sync,Backstreet Boys).

  5. THIS CD IS THE ABSOLUTE COOLEST! I OWN IT AND THE MOVIE.MY FAVORATE SONGS ARE WERE A MIRACLE,SOMEWHERE SOMEDAY,AND IF ONLY TEARS COULD BRING YOU BACK(THIS SONG WAS SO SAD AND SWEET)I THINK ANYONE WHO LIKES POKEMON AND THE ARTISTS FEATURED IN THE CD WILL BE PROUD TO OWN IT.

5 comments about Rocket Gang Forever!.

  1. Musashi-chan's singing voice goes great with Kojiro-sama's smooth baritone of a voice. Nyasu's singing is probably fall-down hilarious!!! If i had Rocketto Dan's Japanese import cd's, i would listen to their singing all day long if i wanted too.

  2. (Actually I don't have this CD but I am going to buy it very soon. But I own several other Japanese Pokemon CDs and one of them, "It's a White Tomorrow!", contains songs from this mini CD as well, so I know them very well.)

This is probably one of the best Pokemon CDs I know about, because I love Team Rocket a lot and they are also the main reason why I watch Pokemon. This CD contains only Team Rocket songs:

    1. Roketto Dan yo Eien ni: My most favorite Japanese Pokemon song. It is not because it is so excellent song but as I said before it is because Team Rocket are my favorites and this song is so cute and rocketshippy! I love Musashi's cute voice and Nyasu trying to sing his own part but he is stopped by Musashi and Kojiro's angry voice. This song is 1000x better than Team Rocket's American song Double Trouble! Blech! And there must be any reason it is my most favorite, right?

    2. Rakki Rakki (Lucky Lucky): Also good Pokemon (Team Rocket)song. I had heard the midi version first and I was surprised how it sounded when I listened to it's real version on CD. It sounded very different to me. It took awhile till I got used to it but now I like this song. I've read some into English translations of this song and it contains hard-to-translate puns. For example Myutsu (Mewtwo) means "meet you". You have to know Japanese Pokemon names and what they mean to understand to it's lyrics. But the melody is pretty good and - finally - it is Kojiro's song!

3.Nyasu no Uta: Meowth's song, 2nd Japanese ending song to the anime. I'd liked the midi version a lot but then when I heard the original version with Nyasu's voice, I loved it even more! Nyasu's voice is so cute! It may seem too hard (but it is cat's voice, isn't it) and some people say it makes no good to this great melody, but I disagree with them. It is Nyasu's song and it is great!

4.Roketto Dan yo Eien ni - karaoke: Just the melody of the first song. Perfect! You can sing along. But I leave singing to Musashi and Kojiro, my singing is terrible:)

Five stars, no doubt. I also recommend you to buy "It's a White Tomorrow!" CD if you liked this one.

  3. This Rocket CD is amazing!!! It doesn't matter if you don't understand a word of Japanese cause it still sounds great. The CD comes in a small Mini Disc format and contains 5 Tracks, 3 Songs and 2 with just the music no words. The songs are:

    1) Rocket Gang Forever
    2) Lucky Lucky
    3) Mewoths love Song

The best by far is the first track on the CD, it includes Team Rocket singing there Motto in Japaneses and the Crash of lighting at the start of the Song really add to the effects. The second Track Lucky Lucky is a fast beat and the final track is a slow mover but still reasonable.

Don't let the high price but you off True Rocket Worshipers will want this CD. The only downside is the waiting for it to arrive. But other than that still a Great CD!!!

  4. I love Team Rocket, and this CD is perfect for all you TR fans out there too. The music is incredibly cool (espically if you can track down a translation of the lyrics so you know what there saying).

  1. 'OK!' is probably my favorite Pokemon song of all time. It is truly amazing, and so are the other goodies on this CD. I prefer the Japanese Pokemon music to the dubbed stuff (that is a little too poppy for my liking), despite the fact I only known a little Japanese. It is truly excellent music. I recommend it for all the fans.

  2. Despite the small size of this CD, the music that it contains far surpasses the music shown in the US version of the show and soundtracks.

"OK!" was mainly the reason I bought the CD, since I have the Japanese Johto season opening on my computer, and I had always wanted to hear the full version. And I like it alot, especially the few english speaking parts, which provide some inspiration to my fanfic hobbies. And not only is it the first track, it is also the last track as a karaoke version. ... .

"Type: Wild" was a song that I thought I would never want to hear. Ever here the song in MIDI format? It's terrible! But the version on this mini-cd is awesome. This song is the English version, and it should have been the opening (or closing, I forgot) song to the Orange Islands season of Pokemon.

In addition to the two tracks, there is also two Quicktime videos that are included. One is the japanese version of Meowth's Party, and the other is the japanese trailer to "Lord of the Uknown Tower" (In it, some of the scenes they show were cut out in the American version i.e. Mewtwo scene).

Sadly, even if you have Quicktime already installed on your computer, the video won't play until you install the version that is one the CD.

Other than that, the CD is awesome, and would be an awesome addition to one's Japanese CD collection.

  3. I WANT TO GET THIS CD REAALY BADLY,BECAUSE I DOWNLOADED THE SONGS FROM A WEBSITE CALLED DVGN(IT'S GONE NOW,KERO,MAY YOUR SITE REST IN PEACE)ANYWAY,I SAW THE INTRO AND TYPE:WILD,AND I LOVE THEM!!!I LISTENED TO THEM EVERY DAY NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES I HAD TO DOWNLOAD THEM!!!BUT WHEN THE SITE LEFT,I WAS SOOOO UPSET,I THOUGHT I'D NEVER HEAR THEM AGAIN,UNTIL I FOUND OUT THIS CD EXISTED!NOW I'LL BE ABLE TO HEAR THEM ALL I WANT!!I'M DEFENITELY GETTING IT!! (NOTE TO KERO:I MISS DVGN ALOT.IF YOU READ THIS,TELL ME WHERE TO FIND THE ENDING SONG WITH ASH,MISTY,AND BROCK DANCING AND THE SINGING CHANSEY!!)

  4. ^_^ This is my absolutely, no doubt, most favourite Pokémon intro - English or Japanese!! I can't get over the mess they made of it when they made "Whole New World" for the English eps...couldn't they have left it? ;_; Anyway, so OK! is brill...great...spiffing in fact O_O. "Type:WILD is coolies...English too...and the rest of the songs are good, but OK has to be the best Pokémon song so buy it now. Why are you reading this? BUY BUY BUY! (O':'O) Buy for moi..?

  5. I think that OK! is one of the best Pocket Monster songs ever yet! It has a fast beat and it's rock n' roll! The other songs on the CD are quite good also!

  1. This is a good CD even though it is a mini CD... it works in all of my CD players, but I don't dare use it in my computer, because it won't recognize what I am playing right away. So I just listen to it in my portable CD player. I recommend this one.

  2. This is a great CD and my favorite one I own. It has 5 tracks on it but only four songs, which is kinda a downfall but it's worth every penny!

The first song is Raibaru!(Rival!) which is sung by Matsumoto Rika, the voice actress of Satoshi (Ash). This is my favorite song on this CD. I had heard the legends of satoshi's singing but never knew how true it was till I got this CD, and my friends agree. His/Her voice is amazeing! Diffently NOT a ear sore! This song makes you want to sing along with it and you can on the 5th track which is the karoke of this song.

The next song is TAIPU: WAIRUDO (Type: Wild) which is also sung by Rika. In this Satoshi singing about his journey, his shoes, and his home town. This one goes abit fast a times but you quickly learn the chorse.

HEY! PIKACHUU is sung by Nyaasu (Meowth). He's singing/talking to pikachu who talks back to him in the song. This song might not be sung the best or the fastest, but it's diffently the cuteist! Nyaasu calls her "Kawaii" (cute) once and... He sounds so JEALOUS! I think they would make a cute cupple if Rocket Dan and Sato-tachi (Team Rocket and Ash and co.) team up together.

POKEMON SANDOITCHI (Pokemon Sandwich) is sorta like the poke rap they have here I guess. It's sung by lots of people and is sorta like a game. You can learn the Japeness names of the pokemon and it's fun to sing along to. The main singer guy hurts your ears when he gets to long high notes but it only happens twice so it's okay.

This is a mini CD but it works fine in all the CD players I have used it in, ( 'sept for my computer which only takes a mintute or so to figure out what it is.) It comes with a paper of the lyrics and a ruler/stincel that has the outline of pikachu, another pikachu, togepi, and a Lapras.

  3. Well actually this pokemon cd is one of my favorites. *eek can't decide really, because I love em all ya know!* >_< But it's totally awesome and unique too! I ordered it from amazon a few months ago, and was soo surprised, when I got it. Waa I don't remember ever seeing another one like it, it's 3 inches! Oh how kawaii! ^_^ The cd cover looks like one of those vacation brochures, and the artwork is super great! Well ok, now for the songs: Rivals is super kewl, and has a nice beat and is the Orange Island battle theme, sung by Rica Matsumoto a.k.a Satoshi. Bonus: You could hear some of the pokemon like Charizard, Pikachu as they're battling. "Awesome"! The next is in English, Type Wild, and I have to admit it's one of my favorites, it's about Satoshi's (Ash) sneakers, and his journeys, and days in Masura (Pallet) town. Really cute and addictive too! "Watch it, the beat is just real fast, happy and hyper"! "hey just like Satoshi!" :P I listen to this song soo many times, *gaa* I can't keep up anymore! O.o The last part of the song, is sweet and is sure to inspire you! Then there's Pokemon sandwich, which is sweet, and fun. And finally Hey Pikachu, which is cute and funny, with nyasu a.k.a Meowth. Nyasu is singing about cute lil Pikachu, Pika replies and Nyasu is just singing about how great he is or whatever, *do I sense a little jealousy maybe?* hee I may not understand Japanese real good, but what the heck, this cd rules! Oh when I opened the cd, guess what I found: A cute lil yellow ruler of pokemon with stencils! So if you also crave free stuff *like I do* ^_' hey what are you waiting for fellow poke freaks go buy it already!!! ^_^
