5 comments about Peter Pan: Classic Soundtrack Series (1953 Film).

  1. My wife wanted some "Tinker Bell" music for my daughter's themed birthday party. What a great find to have such a quick download of legit MP3 formatted music. Plus the entire album was only $[...], I burnt the songs she wanted to CD and she was able to use it with our portable CD player for the party.

  2. the songs warm your heart. They bring back memories of a time once forgotten, hidden beneath sad thoughts. Yet, once you listen to these songs, you forget all your sadness.

  3. I love the music to Disney's Peter Pan! The one that tugs at the heart the most for me would have to be "The Second Star to the Right." The harmonies and the certain style of the music just gets me teary. The rest of the songs are quite enjoyable too!

  4. Listening to this cd, watch the film...enjoy it then when doing something like tidying your room, slap it on. You'll find-and i can guarentee this-that during a certain song reprisal, you'll stop and tears will come to your eyes and you'll wish you were a child again. That song is of course 'You Can Fly', it makes my cry, escpecially what happened to Bobby Driscoll.

  5. As a lover of Peter Pan, this CD was a wonderful addition to my collection. The songs are just wonderufl, and the instrumental music is great to hear when you've seen the movie, or even when you haven't! For anyone who is still yearning to let out their inner child, this is the CD for you!

5 comments about Highlights From Jekyll And Hyde (1990 Concept Cast).

  1. Get that into your heads. It's not a production recording. It was done YEARS before it was ever on stage. Why do they sound the way they do where it might lack emotion? Because at this time there was no BOOK for this show, only these songs.

Linda is great on this CD, but better on the 2 Disc concept CDs. Why? Because there was more material for her to understand the character.

Colm is good on this CD. For those of you who are bashing him, I bet you've never heard his Toronto production recording of Phantom of the Opera. Now that was bad.

I had this CD long before the other versions were available. I would probably feel the same way after listening to the others first, then listening to this. However, Love Has Come of Age is probably one of the best love songs ever written. My wife and I used it in our wedding!

  2. This CD is a jewel. Colm Wilkinson may not have the most powerful voice but his performances are full of an extremely personal touch and that makes the listening of this CD a real treat. Besides this concept album has a charm and intensity that the complete work lacks. Well worth buying. Cherry on top: the CD contains all the lyrics.

  3. Now, normally, I am a BIG fan of Colm Wilkinson, but this just isn't right. I'm not sure if the music isn't right for him or the character, but he does not do the role justice. If you want Jekyll and Hyde, get another recording.

  4. When this show came to the Alley Theater in Houston, my wife and I were enthralled with the richness and fullness of these songs especially "A New Life", sung by Linda Eder. Although very much enjoying the songs before it, "A New Life" brought both of us to the edges of our seats in rapt attention, gripped with powerful emotion. Since hearing this song 15 years ago, it has never lost its power to move me to the brink of tears.

We are all captives of our experience, and this song lets each of us believe that, in the future, our lives may be bright and shining, regardless of what went before.

As for the other discs of this show, I simply consider them disappointing, as many other reviewers have also stated.

  5. This is the original concept album for Jekyll & Hyde, the earliest version of the musical that took another 8 years and many revisions to reach the stage. Following in the tradition of such epic `concept albums' as those that brought Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita and Chess to the stage, the objective of this album was to showcase the songs that the musical would be built around. It does so wonderfully, using two of musical theater's most glorious voices - Linda Eder and Colm Wilkinson. The musical was written to showcase Eder's achingly lovely voice. She portrays both Jekyll's fiancé Lisa and the prostitute Lucy; occasionally you need a scorecard to determine which you are listening to. She is especially effective as Lucy - soaring through "Someone Like You", tugging at your heart in "No One Know Who I Am". Wilkinson's rich, mellow tenor complements her beautifully in the duets "Love Has Come of Age", "Letting Go" and "We Still Have Time". Although Wilkinson is listed as both Jekyll and Hyde, in fact all the songs are Jekyll's. As always this fine musical actor hits EXACTLY the right emotional note. It is an absolute joy to listen to in his solos - such wide-eyed, youthful optimism in "Hospital Board", such fierce, possessive love in "Till You Came Into My Life". What a thrilling version of "This Is the Moment"! For Jekyll to do what he does, he HAS to have such total confidence, such clarity of purpose, such an absolute belief in his own abilities. Like Henry Jekyll, Wilkinson charges ahead with joyous, infectious abandon.

There is some dispute among fans as to which actually should be regarded as the `definitive version' of the musical as it is (or should have been) staged - the 1984 "Gothic Thriller" concept album or the 1988 cast album. As Bricusse and Wildhorn had reportedly written more than 6 hours (60 songs) by 1994, there may never be a final version. Personally, of the two I incline towards the "Gothic" version - it has the complete story and the powerful, deeper voice of Anthony Warlow shines, especially as Hyde. (However, his Jekyll seems too somber to me, too practical to plunge foolishly into experimenting on himself.) THIS admittedly is NOT the complete version of the story; it focuses on exploring the characters and their relationships. Yet I have no difficulty in recommending it wholeheartedly. I have this and the "Gothic" version, and if for some reason I had to give one up, it wouldn't be this one. It's easily one of my favorite albums.

Judged solely on its own merits, this album is a jewel. Bookended by 2 versions of "Once Upon a Dream", it offers a highly romantic and perhaps more optimistic version of the story. Listening to "We Still Have Time", you find yourself hoping that somehow it really will work out. All of us will find a compelling story, and fantastic voices singing enchanting ballads. Fans of the musical will find Frank Wildhorn's original vision, sensitive portrayals of the main characters, and several songs that were regrettably trimmed in preparing the musical for the stage. All are lovely, and Lisa's character suffers without them. "Love Has Come Of Age" in particular helps to explain her devotion to Jekyll despite his increasingly strange behavior. My recommendation is to buy both this and the "Gothic Thriller" and construct your own version, with Wilkinson as Jekyll and Warlow as Hyde.

5 comments about Kiss Of The Spider Woman: The Musical - Original Cast Recording (Original London Cast).

  1. The reason I only marked this with 2 stars is not because of the quality of the CD (or lack thereof) but for the fact that it was sent to me without a case so that it was totally exposed to everything with the possibility of being damaged in transit...not to mention the fact that it is completely inconvenient to have a CD without a case to keep it in...I don't know why this was done but I highly recommend that it not been done in the future or if the person sending it insists on continuing to do this he be kind enough to inform potential purchasers ahead of time...for myself, had I known, I would have purchased it from someone else...

  2. The Manuel Puig novel becomes a stunning musical experience in the hands of Kander & Webb, the same creators of CABARET, CHICAGO, ZORBA, THE RINK or 70, GIRLS, 70. I saw this production in 1994 and I was amazed at the visual effects and musical numbers. However, the most fascinating attraction was the originality of the story. it seems so difficult to come out with a musical approaching such a subject, but this musical succeeds entirely. The songs are as marvelous as the interpreters, being one of those musicals that become an ever lasting experience.

  3. I might be biased because I bought Vanessa William's version before this one, but it simply doesn't do it for me. The entire second cast of this magnificent Kander & Ebb collaboration is way superior to the original.

  4. With the talents of Chita Rivera, Terrence McNally and Kander & Ebb, you'd expect "Kiss of the Spider Woman" to be a tuneful and well written musical with a star performance. It is more than that.
"Kiss of the Spider Woman" is such a superlative musical. The score is perhaps Kander & Ebb's best since "Chicago." While the show only gets good after the wonderful "Dressing Them Up", it truely is perfect for the show. With tender moments ("Dear One", "Mama It's Me), fun ("Where you Are", "Gimme Love"), rolliciking, ("The Day after That") and chilling (The Title Song, "Anything for Him") The score is tuneful and versitile.
We can hear snippets of McNally's chilling libretto. I have read it, and the final scene gives me the chills.
In the performance department, Chita Rivera gives a commanding and masterful performance as Aurora. She is better than any 25 year old around.
Brent Carver is also great in the role of Molina-the gay window dresser. He sings and acts superbly. However, recently, I have grown to enjoy Mr. Anthony Crivello's performance. Starting with his haunting, yet tender section in "Dear One" and ending with his incredible "The Day After That", Crivello gives a terriffic performance.
I recomend this to any Kander & Ebb or Broadway fan, or anyone interested in listeting to the best musical of the 90s, ranking with "Ragtime." Wonderful!

  5. When I originally saw this show, I wasn't exactly sure how the Oscar-winning movie would translate into a musical. A knockout! Brent Carver & Chita Rivera, Tony winners for their roles as Molina & The Spider Woman, respectively, translate marvelously on this cd.

Kander & Ebb's score is highly entertaining, with many standout numbers. Hightlights include:

    Her Name Is Aurora
    Dear One
    Where You Are
    You Could Never Shame Me
    She's A Woman
    Gimme Love
    Kiss Of The Spider Woman
    Only In The Movies

While not as brilliant as "Chicago", this Kander/Ebb score is every bit as good (or better) that their "Cabaret" score!

A well-deserved win for Best Musical!

5 comments about Finian's Rainbow (1947 Original Broadway Cast).

  1. Great sound; great music; great vitality. I don't know how this music manages to cast such a spell. Maybe it's because it was the first show I ever saw, though I'm more inclined to credit the talent that created and performed it. This recording captures the magic of Finian's Rainbow at its most potent, and the reissue engineers deserve applause for not adding reverb or other gimmicks to make the sound more "modern" and less immediate. But I did notice one difference in a lyric from the 1947 book: She sings "swellish condish" instead of "hellish condish." Apparently, the h-word was acceptable on the stage 60+ years ago, but not in the living room.

  2. Finian's Rainbow original Broadway cast album CD soars with zestful songs, bringing back the wonder and fun of cast members and music by Burton Lane and E.Y. Harburg. Although I never saw the original stage play (I was just a pup!), I grew up hearing the music since my mother not only sang songs from the show but owned the LP.
I adore about listening to the original cast on a CD because some ambient noises come through, too. I still own my Mom's LP but it is so scratched I decided to search for the original cast album and am happy it was available.

  3. Everyone has a very first record (or CD). For me it was a 78 rpm set of this very same FINIAN'S RAINBOW. Bought in a thrift shop perhaps 43 years ago, this album was a prized childhood possession. From repeated use, I knew all the songs and every word within it's covers, including such minute details as manufacturing processes. (Example: The 78s were supposed to have a particularly quiet background because a layer of brown paper sandwiched amidst the shellac of the discs helped cut down on surface noise, even as it made them less brittle. Now I can't swear that's true, but for sure FINIAN'S RAINBOW was a pleasure to listen to.)

"Finian's" trivia: This play was the first-ever winner of the "Best Musical" Tony Award. E. Y. Harburg's nickname was not "Yip," it was "Yit," a fact intentionally obscured over his career. Besides brilliant lyrics, he also created wonderful poetry. Harburg was an anti-war activist during the Vietnam War era. Ella Logan was indeed from Scotland. She never did try to disguise her brogue while playing an Irish lass on Broadway. David Wayne's post-Finian career was quite extensive. He appeared on live TV dramas in the late 40s, and acted in an amazing number of films and television shows over the next 40 years.

As for the 1947 cast album of FINIAN'S RAINBOW-- my opinion is naturally extremely favorable. Harburg's lyrics are some of the best Broadway has ever seen, and Burton Lane's music complements them perfectly. Best advice is: listen to the samples provided, and if at all intrigued, do buy this CD. If you're a fan of great Broadway shows, you need look no further for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

    CD DETAILS--
The eight-page finely illustrated booklet is only slightly marred on page 2 by a nearly unreadable repro of the 1962 LP cover. "Look To The Rainbow" includes extra orchestration. The version here of "That Great Come-And-Get-It-Day" is how the song actually sounded on stage. "The Begat" is the first (and best) waxing-- this one wasn't used for decades due to a technical glitch, since repaired. Sound quality of all is superb. The bonus tracks of Yit Harburg discussing and playing three RAINBOW songs are interesting, especially the last, "Don't Pass Me By," which was cut from the show.

    TOTAL RUNNING TIME -- 52:50

  4. I just acquired the original issue of this recording on six ten inch Columbia 78's.

I am listening to the set as I write.

All I can say is "Wow"!

Now, mind you, I have thousands of 78's in my collection. I tend to be very forgiving about the foibles of 78's sound.

    But.

The Finian's Rainbow 78's I just acquired sound much, much better than the LP transfers.
And almost as good as the 2000 CD reissue which was made from the virgin acetate discs.

This surprised me. Columbia 78's were often made from inferior 78 shellac/composition blanks. Especially on Columbias issued before the late thirties.

    Anyway.

The 78's sound better than I expected. No surface noise, whatsoever. And the recorded ambiance is outstanding. Columbia must have done something special with this recording.

  5. This is the broadway version. I like the Movie Soundtrack of Finian's Rainbow better. And there are two versions of that...

The Movie Soundtrack on the Rhino label has 3 more tracks, and the sound quality is a lot better.

5 comments about Annie Get Your Gun (1946 Original Broadway Cast).

  1. There was only one Ethel Merman! This original recording is a treat for her fans and those who never experienced Broadway in it's heyday before mikes and electric wizardry. The remastering is excellent and the extras are great. A true classoc!

  2. This CD recaptures all the fun of the original Broadway show. The songs are as articulate, funny, and charming as they must have been in 1946. It is indeed amazing and wonderful how the technology can preserve and re-vitalize past artistic contributions for future generations to enjoy.

  3. We paid extra for expedited shipping in the hopes that the package would arrive on Saturday before Christmas or at the latest, the Tuesday after Christmas. The package, in fact, did not arrive unitl after New Years and an email to the Seller went unanswered. We felt that we should be reimbursed for the amount that we paid to have the expedited shipping.

  4. Annie Get Your Gun is a wonderful show, but there are two versions. This recording, and the Revival. I STRONGLY recommend this version. There aren't many differences between the two, but this recording has more songs which makes it a completer recording. I also am not a fan of Burnadette Peters`(which plays Annie in the revival) so I find this recording much more pleasing. The show has a nice mix of male and female ballads, and duets. Great recording for new listners and collectors alike. Favorite Songs: "They Say It's Wonderful" and "I'm a Bad, Bad Man"

  5. This is a fine album if you want to hear Ethel Merman singing Irving Berlin tunes. However, if you want to hear a performance of "Annie Get Your Gun" with some real acting, this isn't it. Ethel Merman's voice MAY be much better but my 17 year old daughter played the part with a lot more feeling in her school play. For instance, "Moonlight Lullaby' HELLO... it's supposed to be a lullaby not an aria. Another example, "Doing What Comes Naturally" is supposed to be when Annie Oakley was an uneducated hillbilly and the accent in this version just isn't there. Some of this may be a proud papa speaking but I just can't buy Ethel Merman as anything other than Ethel Merman.

3 comments about Classic Disney.

  1. This 3-CD set is a delight from start to finish. Ranging from the earliest films to the most recent, the song selection could not be more complete. Unexpected gems include Kirk Douglas' recording of "Whale of a Tale" from "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea," and Roger Miller's "Oh De Lally" from "Robin Hood." There are the more expected pieces from "Beauty and the Beast," "Little Mermaid" and "Aladdin," and music from the theme parks (e.g., "Main Street Electrical Parade." This is a set of discs to lift the spirits of the young and young at heart. Disneyphiles will love it.

  2. If you are searching for the absolutely Best collection of Disney songs, look no further! It's a beautiful selection of 75 songs, ranging from such heartwarming classics as "Once Upon a Dream" (Sleeping Beauty), and "When You Wish Upon a Star", "April Showers" to today's hits from Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Aladdin, etc. And you can't help but smile (if not laugh) when you hear the "I'm Professor Ludwig Von Drake" song! (you have to hear this one to believe it). I was also tickled to find "It's a Small World" and "Tiki Room" included! There are many hard-to-find songs in this collection, making it a "Must Have" for any serious Disney fan! This is a sure-to-please collection for all ages.

  3. This is a nice box set. You get three CDs and a large booklet.

These are soundtracks, and all the songs are here, all in their original form and by the original people from all the Disney movies and TV shows (including the original Mickey Mouse Club). Some songs that are MISSING that I wish were there include: Haley Mills' "Let's Get Together," from the Parent Trap, "Scales and Arpeggios," from the Aristocats, and that sweet song from Oliver that I think is called "Good Company" (You and me together will be, forever with me . . ."). They should be on there, in my opinion. Also, this is NOT a good source for any of the old Annette Funicello songs that she released on her own albums.

What this is, essentially, is a children's album. For those of us old enough, it is a nostalgic trip down memory lane from all those songs from our childhood. There are a great range of songs on here, and it's worth the price.

5 comments about Mystere.

  1. I purchased my copy of this album as I exited the theater when I first saw Mystere in 1995. I was emotionally drained from seeing the performance, and am still moved by this music after 10 years. These performers are beyond compare, and regardless of your musical tastes, if you appreciate virtuosity you must hear this album. (Side note: I returned to Vegas in 2002 with my son and my wife, where we had the three center front row seats. I ended up on stage with the troupe playing the fool with the Baby. I love this show!)

  2. BREATH-TAKING!!! I must admit the Mystere cd I own (and have almost worn-out from playing) is the Live version- recorded in May of '96. My first Cirque experience was seeing Mystere in Las Vegas in November of 2003, and I can still see the show in my mind from the opening of those little baby cries to the "to powerful for words", heart-pounding close of the Taikos solo. The music in itself is exteremely powerful, almost provocative, and alone is, would be a moving experience for anyone who has the ability and passion to "hear" the emotion such cultured, masterful composers and musicians express through melody and rythum. Benoit Jutrus and Rene Dupere ARE masters of their craft! Actually being able to experience the show live only adds to the intensity of that emotion. The show/music literally "surrounds" the audience, in a sense taking you on a journey through the very deepest of all human emotion. I can't compliment this composition/show enough. So my review is: buy the album(s) and definately see the show. I am absolutely planning on seeing the show again, and again- I am jealous of and completely understand the fan who has already seen the show six times! I literally get goose-bumps STILL every time I listen to this CD. #1 MUST HAVE/SEE!

  3. I am a composer and a musician who is in awe of Mystere. I am also an author who either writes in absolute silence or with Mystere playing. Mystere has the purity of silence and a higher compliment I cannot pay any music. Oh, and by the way, this album ROCKS!!!!
The musical compositions and their perfect realization by an assembly of supremely talented musicians and singers is a gift to the world that I urge you to add to your music collection without delay. Mystere will add a new dimension to your appreciation for Cirque du Soleil - this music is as incredible as they are, and that is saying something!!

  4. Rumeurs, Birimbau, and Caravena are no longer used in the show. The other songs are still in the show, but two of them have been altered: En Ville and Rondo.
I recommend this album to those who have attended a performance of "Mystere" between 1993-1995 when all of the songs from this album were in the show and none were different. This album is a very strong and emotional compostion, though, due to its outdated nature, the album lacks some of the emotion of the show. Egypte and Ulysse are stronger in this album due to the fact that they contain choirs. This album is interesting to listen to if you have the more current "Mystere, Live" album.

  5. I love the CIRQUE DU SOLEIL! You have to really see it in person to fully appreciate the beauty of the music. When you are watching the various acts during the live performance you get lost in the music and almost forget you are watching a staged production. I have seen a few live Cirque Shows, including Mystere, Quidam, and O, and It truly is a spiritually, emotionally charged sensory experience. There are times you want to cry, times you want to laugh, and times you just find yourself in awe of what is going on...I reccomend seeing the live show first and then buying the music...but, the music alone is amazing and can be appreciated by itself. Don't pass up seeing this incredible show!

  1. FOR THOSE OF US BORN IN HIS ERA, WELL WORTH THE MONEY TO BUY THIS CD OF SOME OF HIS GREATEST HITS INCLUDING "AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER", SO DON'T MISS THE CHANCE TO OWN THIS WONDERFUL ALBUM.

  2. Vic's voice is silky smooth; I had forgotten after all these years until watching "An Affair to Remember" on TV and wondering who was singing the theme song. I play this over and over in my car when I am stressed. It calms me down, it puts me in a better mood, and it makes me appreciate the gifted artists in our recent past.

  3. Yup...guess I'm partial. This compilation of all Vic's hits thru the years are bellissimo!

Even if you've never Damone sing before, this would be the best place to begin! And if you have heard him.....you'll listen repeadedly. The tone is romantic - vibrant - and as usual, his choice of romantic favorites, excellent!

5 comments about That's Entertainment!: The Best Of The M-G-M Musicals - Motion Picture Soundtrack Anthology.

  1. Sure, these are the same old standards you've heard before and you probably have multiple recordings of them. Throw them all away!

You have NEVER heard them sound this good before. This CD showcases them in the best possible sound from the original elements -often in true stereo and high fidelity for the first time ever. These tracks are all presented in pristine sound, cleaned and remastered as close to the original performances as is likely to be possible.

Gone is the fake stereo re-channeling (remember the origingal That's Entertainment soundtrack LP?), gone is the excessive reverb and echo so common to monaural re-releases.

Playing each track is literally like hearing it for the first time. The presence inherent in the recordings is released with a vengence once the reverb is stripped away, once the fake stereo is removed, once the higher fidelity is revealed in the first generation masters.

It's worth it alone to hear the restored full-range, true stereo, high-fidelity magnetic tape recording of William Warfield singing 'Old Man River.' Such depth and range has never been present in any recording I've ever heard.

I could go on and gush about each individual track, but this is once CD you must actually hear to believe.

  2. Somehow I thought that this was a kareoke CD. Is there one? I really would like to have the instrumentals. Thank you, Lynn Knudsen

  3. If you love musicals then this is the cd for you! It contains 16 orignal MGM musical songs. MGM really did make the best musicals and this cd proves it! They also had some of the best talent too. This cd has the best of the best. My favorite songs are That's Entertainment! from "The Band Wagon", Get Happy from "Summer Stock", Singin in the Rain from "Singin in the Rain", The Trolley Song from "Meet Me in St. Louis", The Varsity Drag from "Good News", Easter Parade from "Easter Parade", On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe from "The Harvey Girls", They Can't Take That Away from Me from "The Barkleys of Broadway" and Hallelujah from "Hit the Deck". I wish they would make a volume two or something because this cd is awesome! This cd is a great reflection of the "Golden Age". It's a dirty rotten shame they don't make movies like these anymore! This is real entertainment!

  4. it's so cool! i 'specially like ON THE ATCHISON, TOPEKA, AND THE SANTA FE. oh and HONEY SUCKLE ROSE

  5. Who loves musicals? I mean REAL musicals. The way I see it, there was only ONE golden age of the genre- that was the age of the MGM musical during the 40's and 50's. NOTHING beats the artistry and sophistication that made an MGM musical what it was. "More stars than there are in heavens" the promos proclaimed. Damn straight, there was talent- and that same talent glows like wildfire in this CD anthology! Listen and you'll know what I mean.

5 comments about Children Of Eden: Highlights (1998 New Jersey Cast).

  1. Chilren of Eden is a beautiful retelling of the story of creation, and also of the story of the demolition of creation through Noah's flood.
The music is not necessarily easy to listen to, it's not catchy, it's not fun. But it is intellegent, it is honest and beautiful. I think this is some of Stephen Schwartz's best work.
The cast is composed of an inter-racial group of people who's voices blend together and are very charming.
I didn't expect to like Stephanie Mills much in a Broadway type setting, but she really is very good.
I reccomend this CD if you like to think. If you are intellegent, or if you are looking for a different perspective on Genises, listen to this soundtrack!

  2. I saw the production, "Children of Eden," at a theater in my community, and thoroughly enjoyed it. That is why I was so thrilled to find a copy of the music, which was so enlightening and fun! All of the singers do an exceptional job of conveying the emotions of the characters they portray, particularly William Solo, who played God, called, primarily "Father" in the production. Kellie Rebkh does a superb job as Yona, who was, according to the play, the servant of Noah and his wife, and who became the wife of Japheth, one of Noah's sons. All of the songs are outstanding, and whoever was responsible for writing the lyrics for the musical deserves lavish praise! They truly conveyed the emotions and life lessons that can be gleaned from such a superb play very well. "In Pursuit of Excellence," though sung by the Serpent shows the views of those who throw caution to the wind and go to any lengths to get what they want, even if it means decieving others, and disobeying commands. "The Spark of Creation," sung by Eve, shows a hidden desire in everyone's heart to rebel and go out on their own. "A World Without You," illustrates the agonny of having to make choices, and there are many more outstanding songs that are both enjoyable to hear and thoughtprovoking at the same time. The message of this production is timeless: you have the power to choose between good or evil, and, as "The Father" says, "There is no journey gones so far, so far that you can't stop and ask directions. No doom is written in the stars, it's in your hands." The chorus says, "our hands can choose to drop the knife, our hearts can choose to stop the hating. We pray we're wiser than we were, IN THE BEGINNING!" A true intertaining gem, and an absolute must-hear!! Happy listening, and God bless!!

  3. I have just preformed this Play, and I found the soundtrack moving and uplifting. It is like Disney with an up beat...all of the songs are amazing and It is A FANTASTIC buy so go out and get it, you will not be disapointed.....

  4. This is a very nice collection of the music from Children of Eden. The first time I heard this CD was in 1998, at the International Theatre Festival in Michigan. The music is very nice. Good listening and varied. It's not as varied as Joseph, but I believe it to be a very good piece to add to your collection if you like Musicals about the bible. Better yet, buy the complete thing, this is only Highlights, giving you about half the songs in the musical.

  5. I had mixed emotions before buying the CD but they all changedquickly. The songs are quickly caught on to... especially"Wilderness" and "Let there Be". The only problemwas the lack of unity in the songs, all from different genres and nothing really closely binding them together. But great vocals (I though Mill's voice was weak but that's okay) made up for it! A good buy. END
