5 comments about The Nightmare Before Christmas: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.
- I bought this for my girlfriend, who used to have a copy before it got lost, but I ripped a copy to my computer first because I love it too. Excellent quality for having been bought second hand. If I have need to, I will definetely shop with this seller again!
- Of the many collaborations of Director Tim Burton and composer Danny Elfman, Nightmare Before Christmas has been a favorite of mine. One thing that lends the film so much of its charm is this brilliant soundtrack. The songs are catchy and make you WANT to sing along. At times some of the words seem creepy " children throwing snowballs instead of throwing heads..."but that creepiness has a charm to it that is almost like that of Dr. Seuss. The only thing that makes the soundtrack BETTER than the film, is the narrations read by the great Patrick Stewart. If they were to re-release the films with those... it could only make a GREAT film better.
Note: buy THIS version and not the 2 disc special anniversery edition with the remixes by different artists.
- Seriously, there are great artists in this world, yet they aren't recognized like they should be. I'll admit I just finally got into this duos work (my mom would never let me see Nightmare becuase it's pretty dark themed) but, I'm a very musical person, so I could tell this is something that is worth so much more than it's given credit for. But everyone has an opinion, don't worry I haven't counted that out. Not just this soundtrack or even just the music but all aspects of their work. Danny Elfman and Tim Burton are freakin geniuses yet they are not acknowledged anywhere near enough for their work. Corpse Bride was not given near enough publicity or credit where due. It mat not be "as good" as Nightmare" but that what it's compared to and understandably so, but Corpse Bride is fantastic in it's own right! I mean, we'd be comparing Nightmare to Corpse Bride if CB is what came out first.anyways, this dynamic duo of geniuses needs to be given some award, they are so much more talented than some certain authorities in the show biz/music world(whoever they may be) are saying by not ackknoledging them near enough. I just realized I'm pretty repetitive.
-
Setting aside that Danny Elfman (Oingo Boingo, The Simpsons, composer extraordinarie...) is "God," this album is one of his greatest masterpieces ever. His scores and songs truly bring Tim Burton's greatest movie masterpiece (with due respect to Beetlejuice) to life. The music of Nightmare is a full half of the magic of the film, the characters being the other.
Every song is faithfully set to order here and flows seamlessly from one to the next. Unlike other soundtrack albums, this gem stands on its own as an auditory representation of the film, but also a pleasant album to listen to in its own right. I am far from being a fan of musicals, but this album is one of the great exceptions.
- The Nightmare Before Christmas is a legendary movie in my house, and this soundtrack, of course, follows suit. Danny Elfman is a genius! These songs are so much fun to listen to and sing along with! I highly, highly recommend adding this brilliant soundtrack to your collection!

5 comments about Kismet (1953 Original Broadway Cast).
- The product arrived in a timely fashion and it was terrific to hear the original broadway cast sing the Borodin compositions from Kismet. A couple of these pieces didn't make it into the movie so it was nice to hear them.
- It is quite good. There are radio interviews at the end of the CD with the leads and they're very interesting.
- I purchased my first 33 rpm player just about the same time "Kismet" came out, and one of the first records I bought was "Kismet." Unfortunately, I chose the motion picture soundtrack, because it was a dollar cheaper. So it was some time before I experienced the richness of sound the original cast recording provides. None of the movie personnel begins to measure up to the original cast.
Standouts--Richard Kiley, proving that he was a great singer as well as a great actor. Doretta Morrow, exuding the charm and innocence of the poet's daughter. And most of all, Alfred Drake, one of the greatest singer-actors of the Broadway musical. Close your eyes as you listen to "Gesticulate," and you can see his hands move. And my personal favorite, "The Olive Tree."
Despite some unfavorable reviews, "Kismet" has shown its durability, with the continuing availability of this recording after fifty-five years, as well as the numerous studio recording that followed.
- This is a beautiful rendering of this musical. Borodin's music was done a good justice by Robert Wright's arranging and inter-connecting of the tunes. I bought this Original Cast recording at the same time I bought the newer one with Ramey, Svenson, and Hadley. (I did so partly because I just love the music, but also because I wanted to have Richard Kiley's renderings. I first became acquainted and came to admire Richard Kiley's voice through The Man of La Mancha recordings, so I wanted to see what he did in this music.) The soloists and ensemble had a fine feel for the ebb and flow of the musical line, and the Ramey's, Svenson, and Hadley's singing was ravishing - and Dom DeLouise was quite characterful as well. I highly recommend BOTH recordings and would not be able to pick one over the other - YOU must do that (if you choose to purchase only one), and I do not purpose to say anything here that would sway you one way or the other as to which to buy.
- An excellent reproduction of the original recording. Great clarity.

5 comments about Annie (1999 Television Film).
- Love the TV movie! Especially love the TV-version soundtrack! A truly enjoyable, uplifting experience with a great cast! Whether you've seen the movie or not, you'll enjoy this soundtrack. It will lift your spirits to a whole new level. One of my top-ten favorite soundtracks, and I've collected hundreds! I highly recommend this for anyone at any age. Absolutely love it!
- Andrea McArdle can never be replaced, and though this movie's version plays closer to the musical, I feel that if you want a timeless classic cd of this wonderful musical, get either the Original Broadway cast recording or the 1982 Aileen Quinn film soundtrack. Though the 1982 film wasn't closest to the musical, the singing was better in some respects. Alicia Morton was good but sounded too high pitched and young for an 11 year old Annie. While Aileen and Andrea played Annie as a normal down to Earth kid, Alicia seemed to be trying to sound like a pop star. I feel that you should most certaintly get the Original or the 1982 version if you want a good recording, because the 1999 one cannot compare aside from decent performances by the adults.
- The soundtrack is pretty good, but the movie sucks. Alicia Morton has a little girl vioce, not that its a bad thing. Aileen Quinn, the older Annie, had a more mature vioce. Both very different but absoulutely brilliant in their own style.
- I was in a version of this 2 years ago. I LOVED being in it!! I was an orphan, it was so fun. I had the origional movie version of this movie. But when I saw this version in store and I had to own it. That day I watched it and didn't relly like the changes they made but the music and singing was great! I saw this recording in WalMart and HAD to have it!!! So I bought it and listined to it the second I got home. I just melted when the girl for Annie sang "Tomorrow." This is probly even better than the origional Broadway and Movie. Put together!!!! I LOVED THIS ROCORDING!!!!!! Victor Gardor needs a little work on "Somthing Was Missing" the origional guy from the Broadway recording is MUCH better. But besides that this recording was GREAT. I achual movie is bad, but the recording is SUPERCALAFRAGOLISTEXOIALIDOCOUS!!!!!!!!!!
- ...then seek professional help. Everything that people HATE about "Annie" is gone in this version. No annoyingly precocious leading-girl with frizzy curls, Shirley Temple dimples and a voice that makes you want to chew your own foot off. This Annie is just as charming and not at all annoying. Rob Marshall has directed a movie that, in more ways than I have mentioned here, has surpassed and humiliated its predecessor.
And anything with Alan Cumming is worth buying.

5 comments about MacArthur Park.
- Q. For what song did Waylon Jennings get his first Emmy?
A. MacArthur Park.
Waylon said that MacArthur Park was his favorite song at the time and wanted to do a cover.
I, too am a lifelong fan of the Webb/Harris albums. The Yard Went On Forever is without a doubt my favorite album. I actually wore two of them (vinyl, that is) out and have the third. Ah, that wonderful foldout album with the mysterious girl.
I regret that they haven't chosen to put out "Yard" as a CD though it would not be the same for me. For some reason when I first listened to "Yard" I put the B side first and it wasn't till I'd listened to it a dozen times that I realized I had it in the wrong order. My personal version of the album, therefore, ends with the words "damn you, and your dirty joke." Which seemed very appropriate at the time.
By the way, contrary to what another reviewer stated, ALL the songs from "The Yard Went On Forever" are there. "Hymns" contains all three hymns. As I recall that is exactly the way the three songs were listed on the album, simply as "Hymns from Grand Terrace."
- Richard Harris---yeah, loved him--- still do--- that's maybe the best thing about being an artist--- the work, the empression lives on.... Certainly he's most known as an actor[and deservedly so, he was one of a generation of powerhouse performers whose ranks include his pals Richard Burton and Peter O'Toole and hell-raising equal Oliver Reed] and he has left us a litany of great work in such 'classics as 'Camelot', 'Major Dundee', 'Man In The Wilderness', 'The Molly Maguires'.The Field', 'Unforgiven' and many others....His work, though occasionally flawed, was always, at the very least, distinctive and very often much. much more....So it was, and IS, via his recordings, with his singing,,,,
'Macarthur Park' is certainly his most well known recording outside of 'Camelot' and is the perfect example of his unusual singing style....Something of a 'metaphysical ballad' it's a perfect match for the poerful, passionate and often contradictory nature of it's singer/protagonist.... The fact that much of the song is a strain on his voice, combines with the 'talk/sing nature of the narrative, makes the song seam both deeply personal and emotionally chargedand effects the listener in the same way.... There is a shared sense of striving between listener[s] and performer and an ultimate sense of satisfaction at the accomplishment of the task, the singing of the song.... 'MacArthur Park', as sung by Harris, is more than the performance of a song--- it's an adventure....
I strongly recommend the combined cd of both 'My Boy' and 'Slides'.... These are properely matched as they are both 'concept' albums and, again, come across as highly personal.... Indeed, Harris penned some of the songs on 'My Boy' himself and it is something of a 'record' of his life.... I'm a performer myself, locally, here on Cape Cod,and will be performing the song 'Slides' myself next month as part of a local Arts Festival and will be well pleased if I can imbue it with half as much meaning and distinction as the late, GREAT!, Richard Harris....
Cheers! Doug McKenna
- Richard Harris is one of my favorites and I was so pleased to find the CD at Amazon.
I am looking for more of my favorites!! Pat
- In 1973, I saw Mr. Richard Harris on Stage at The Academy Of Music in Philadelphia. Performing all the Songs that made him a Signing Legend.
He told stories of his drinking with Richard Burton and Peter O'Toole.
I hope i spelled his name right. He went through the spectrum of emotions with the songs and stories. He was great. His voice was Richard Harris.
Just as Johnny Cash used to say about the Music Scale- " I hit a few, I miss a few." Richard Harris Fans' never noticed, I didn't. He was Great, i only wish he stuck to the original line of songs in the movie 'Camelot'. But at the performance i was able to see and hear, he was great. i wished he kept up his singing part of his life.
- This is a review of the reviews and an attempt at an explanationabout the songs of Jimmy Webb. As a professional musician andsongwriter, I study the songs of musicians I admire, such asJimmy Webb. When I first heard the songs he wrote for The 5th Dimension in 1967, I was hooked. Then, he wrote an album forJohnny Rivers and the songs were even better. But when the firstRichard Harris album was released, I thought, this guy is agenius! Musically, he is complex and always interesting. Yet hislyrics leave everyone scratching their heads. Well, it's quitesimple really. He uses "imagery" in his words. He constantlyalludes to other things that represent what he is wanting toexpress. I believe this makes for a very interesting approachto lyric-writing. As for the "someone left the cake out in therain" line, with all the references he makes to having lost agreat love, coupled with "and I'll never have that recipe again"he is writing about the recipe of love...at least, that's myinterpretation. As for McCartney being a better songwriter. Ilove McCartney. In my opinion, his work is superior to Lennon'stunes. But McCartney's not a better somgwriter...he's just adifferent kind of songwriter. You cannot compare McCartney toWebb. As for Richard Harris' singing...it took me a while, atfirst, to become accustomed to his voice, for he always soundedflat to me. But with time, I've come to realize that no one elsecould have done a better job on these songs than that wild, crazy and talented Irishman. His name will be forever associatedwith "MacArthur Park" and that cake that melted in the rain.

5 comments about Man of La Mancha (2002 Broadway Revival Cast).
- This is the best recording of this score; the cast sings and acts the material as well as it can be done. Two caveats - the sentimentality is shied away from, which has its rewards but results in a performance that is a bit dry. The recording is bit dry as well. It does take the curse off the cuteness of some of the songs, but it also erases some of the humor. A bit of earnest in a musical goes a long way. It should be possible to create a production with all of the above. Mitchell is amazing, as he usually is. He and Brent Barrett are the Alfred Drakes of this era, able to sing and act with a brain working behind the voice and the heart. The orchestrations evoke the Spanish sources with simplicity. But a bit of the drama and heart is lost, at least on the recording. You never have any doubt where it's going; and even with - especially with - a tale told many times it's the duty of the production to recreate the drama, not cede that you've heard it all before. But no production could ever give depth to the lyrics, which are as simple and lacking shade as nursery rhymes.
- It is everything I hoped for. Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Just you would hope for when you are dealing with number one. I have used Amazon in the past and I certainly will again.
- I have listened to several versions of Man of La Mancha over the years and at last have found one that lives up to all my expectations. Brian Stokes Mitchell's interpretation of the words of the songs, together with a great voice, is second to none. The final sequence and finale brought me to tears. The magnificent song 'The Impossible Dream' has been murdered by many singers in the past but finally here is one who has brought all the meaning and emotion to the fore.
The other cast members too, did a brilliant job.
- I have been a fan of the "Man of La Mancha" for years. I love the songs and the message, even if the story-line is a bit awkward. It is great story that deals with hope, faith and idealism. The music is wonderful evoking Old Spain, but also with lyrics that are profound in the emotions and dreams that are captured.
I only knew of Brian Stokes Mitchell from a minor role he played on "Trapper John M.D." back in the 1980s (at first I didn't realize that it was the same guy). Mitchell and company do a fantastic job of bringing this narrative to life. I found the new introduction to be very imaginative and it captured a sense of fire: the fire of Don Quixte's idealism and Dulcenia's fire of passion and pain.
Comparisons: Original Broadway Cast; Jim Nabors as Don Quixote; Placido Domingo as Don Quixote
- Having heard both the Original Cast and Revival Cast recordings--and having seen Stokes Mitchell perform the play on Broadway--I prefer this version. As someone else pointed out, the Kiley version sounds too "operatic." To me, the Original Cast version also sounds more measured and "intentional," and thus less passionate, spontaneous, and real.
Along with other reviewers, I feel Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio has been bashed unfairly: as someone else mentioned, when it seems like her voice is struggling it's because her character is struggling. It is this overall verisimilitude that makes the Revival Cast more appealing to me.
And, yeah, Stokes Mitchell is brilliant as Don Quixote.

5 comments about Wicked (Karaoke).
- I purchased this 2-CD karaoke version of the Broadway musical "Wicked" for my star-to-be daughter for Christmas, and it has been a huge hit. First of all, the fact that it was recorded using actual cast members makes this a top-notch production. The music CD is fully orchestrated, rather than a quickly-assembled group of musicians or a synthesized accompaniment that so many karaoke CDs tend to be. And having the music in the actual key and tempo of the musical allows you to really "be" part of the play. I would highly recommend this for the casual singer or the star-to-be.
- I was really disappointed with this particular CD. I bought both this one and the Pocket Songs version (JT 325, which Amazon also sells), and although I listened to this one first, I was disappointed at first listen. The arrangements are clearly over-synthesized, and not even synthesized well. (Frankly, I probably could have created these arrangements on my own keyboard at home and done as well.) The tempos are spotty and certainly not up to the same tempo as the original versions, and the background vocals, while certainly are not terrible, are not the best representations of the original versions. My advice? Go with the Pocket Songs version. THAT version is done so well that I frequently get the karaoke and soundtrack versions mixed up when listening to the song intros.
- This CD is such a disappointment! I sing with a traveling theater group and thought I could practice to this karaoke disc. Not a chance! The quality is poor-synthesized instruments & wrong notes and chords all over the place!Don't even get me started on the sample vocal tracks! I actually discarded this part of the pack as it was painfule to listen to. The vocals are horribly off key. Please, save your money. I know it's exciting to find this wonderful musical in a karaoke version but keep looking. Don't waste your cash on this one!!!
- Hey ya'll.
i'm giving this 5 stars because i love wicked a lot (and it's not my top 1, but top 3.so i'm not biased) but i really need to know if the karaoke part is worth buying. i don't care about the instructional singers, just the music. i want to perform this, but plz tell me if it's worth the MUCHO money? thnx!
- My daughter needed the karaoke version to perform one of the songs for a show at her school. This version is absolutely horrible. Neither one of us can even stand (or sit)to listen to this cd. What a terrible waste of good hard earned money. Everyone who has purchased this should receive their money back plus 10% and an apology for being subjected to hearing this. Shame on the people who produced this cd and are making money from it.

5 comments about Grease: A New 50's Rock 'N Roll Musical - The Original Broadway Cast Album.
- In my opinion this is the best production of Grease. It sounds captures the real 50's sound. Later revivals, and the movie, pad the soundtrack until the only connection to the 50s is the clothing. Fantastic cast makes this a gem to treasure.
- just heard the original Broadway cast soundtrack of Grease, and I couldn't believe it. It was so funny, so original, so interesting. lol, they should really make a movie out of this.
Don't get me wrong--I'm not quite that pretentious, yet--I always liked Grease; I was an American teenager for crying out loud. I played Jan in our school's production, and felt very cool for doing so. But, having the soundtrack on cassette for years, the only songs I've ever consistently listened to are "Those Magic Changes" sung by the Sha-Na-Nas, "Beauty School Dropout", and "Stranded at the Drive-In" (so wonderfully silly). And I could never figure out what was so "monumental" about the score as a whole.
So, by accident, my library gave me the original Broadway cast (I was trying to get the movie soundtrack for the Sha-Na-Nas numbers) and I gave it a listen. It was so freaking funny. All these years, it never occurred to me that Grease was supposed to be good for more than a few chuckles. I actually laughed out loud at the songs. I was in a constant state of "Oh. Ooooohhhh. I see. Oh. Well that's interesting. Wow."
I never knew that a lot of the songs in the background of the movie are full numbers in the musical; I know they did that in Cabaret, as well, but it really bugged me with this one (well okay, "don't tell mama" being cut out of Cabaret the movie bugged the hell out of me.) And, as much as I love the Sha-Na-Nas version of "Those Magic Changes", the character Doodie's rendition of it in the original musical totally made me get a crush on him now, which never would've happened with the movie's Doodie. All of the characters who are secondary in the movie are actually more well-rounded than the leads, who seem more like the joke-characters in the musical.
Interesting how, with much fewer instruments, and sillier intros into the songs, the numbers actually feel more realistic and spur-of-the-moment. It was a really original musical when it came out.
Anyway, it's one of those soundtracks (and this is how I gage Broadway for personal reference) that really made me want to live in that universe where people spontaneously break into musical numbers; or, if not spontaneously, then after being given a nice walk-in line like "But what if we can't pull it off?" or "I just love him so much."
I now have a Grease to call my own.
- Grease, here in its original form, is an adventurous, raw, rowdy, INSIGHTFUL show that paints a very accurate picture of a pivotal moment in American history when rock and roll was giving birth to the Sexual Revolution. Grease is not a silly, brainless 50s parody, but is instead a smart, insightful, alternative piece of theatre (inspired in many ways by HAIR), with real muscle, attitude, rawness, and a thrilling, subversive, over-sexed energy. If you want to hear what Grease SHOULD sound like, if you want to hear the real sound of early rock and roll, get this original 1972 recording. Forget the awful revival, and forget the movie (as fun as it may be) -- THIS is Grease. [...]
- We have been trying to get our drama teacher to let us do Grease for years (way before I even went to the school) and this year she's finally letting us.
I've always been a fan of Grease whenever it would come on TV I'd watch it and sing to the songs and I always wanted to be Sandy. But, by listening to the soundtrack I've changed my mind into trying out for Marty because "Freddy, My Love" is, in my opinion, the best song on the soundtrack, the only problem, it's an alto song and I'm a soprano.
Anyway, enough about my life, let's talk about the album. As I said before I've always been a Grease fan, but this version has made me love it even more. This original version is way better than the movie version, the songs seem to fall into place better than in the movie (because they were written for the play of course). Actually, the songs NOT in the movie are the best songs in the play, other than "Freddy, My Love" there are "Mooning" sung by Roger and Jan at a picnic, "Raining on Prom Night" (replaced by "Hoplessly Devoted to You" in the play, Sandy sings this song in her room instead of going to the dance as she did in the movie), "Alone at a Drive-in Movie" (replaced by "Sandy" in the movie, basically, it says the same thing as "Sandy" does), and "All Choked Up" (replaced by "You're the One That I Want", I'm kinda glad it was replaced because I like "You're the One That I Want" better).
I hope this helped you, it probably didn't because of all the personal anecdotes I had to put in there. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that it's a good album and worth buying if you're a Grease fan.
- At some point in the early 1970's, nostaglia for the 1950's started running out of control. At a time when America was dealing with many social changes, somehow the decade of the 1950's became yearned after for
fun, innocence, rock and roll, and postwar prosperity. The realty being it was a decade that also included
economic issues, open descrimination, and very tame music (the name "the quiet generation" was there for a reason).
Grease came to life as a parody of the 1950's nostaglia craze, and it painted a truer, grittier portrait of the late 50's at an urban high school. The movie that came out in 1978, and the Broadway revival of the 90's whitewashed the story, and cleaned up the language so much the original Broadway musical got lost in the shuffle.
The great score is lead by Adrienne Barbaue, Barry Bostwick, and Carol Demas, and a number of songs never made it to the film, including Those Magic Changes, and Freddy My Love. Yes, in the 1950's there still was a draft!. Adrienne's character of Rizzo steals the show with her numbers, Look At Me I'm Sandra Dee, and There Are Worse Things I Could Do, finally the "Bad Girl" is allowed to be human. Summer Nights, It's Raining On Prom Night, and Rock N Roll Party Queen speak to the teenager that remains in all of us.
Enjoy this very real trip into the late 1950's
Ken

- This is one of the best soundtrack I have. It is outrageously funny as well as extremely touching. I recommend it highly
- Was very pleased with the beautiful music and the quick delivery time.
- this CD is a very good introduction to the musical score from a very succesful stage musical ~ if you like good musicals this is a must have.
- Kudos to Harvey Fierstein for being so true to the Jean Poiret play. Jerry Herman did a wonderful score - my favorite song was "The Best of Times". Gene Barry turns out to be a good singer, esp paired with the talented George Hearn.

5 comments about Andrew Lloyd Webber - Requiem / Domingo, Brightman, ECO, Maazel.
- This is a beautiful piece of music. My 10-year old is humming it as he plays with his toys. I'm so glad we've added it to our music library.
- Great modern music of Webber. It is not classical Requiem. A little contraversal..
Great mix of boys choir and mixed choir.. and great performers: Sarah and Domingo are really something.. and this kid who sings with Sarah..And Mazel, the head of the project..
- I am a fan of music by Andrew Lloyd Weber usually, and also enjoy listening to requiae as a music form. Having heard "Pie Jesu" from this requiem and finding it most moving and beautiful, I ordered the Weber Requiem. It was indeed disappointing with the exception of Pie Jesu, band 7 on the CD. The remainder of the Requiem, regrettably, should be consigned to the dustbin of History. However, the Pie Jesu as sung by Sarah Brightman was worth the cost of the entire CD.
- What's not to like about Andrew Lloyd Webber? Well, his attempt at liturgical composition. This work blends Old with New NOT very harmoniously. Much of the score rings of tunes reminiscent from his other works such as CATS, Evita, and Phantom of the Opera. His obviously intentional cacophony in places causes one to wonder if perhaps he had unresolved altar boy issues! Even if one wants to argue that musically, the piece is impressive, the volume levels of this recording make it difficult to listen to without having to constantly adjust the knob.
- This piece sounds like a musical and proves Sir Webber should stick to that medium. I bought this disk for one and only one cut; Pia Jesu. This is as beautiful a piece of music as I've heard and the credit goes as much to the boy tenor as to Webber.

5 comments about Once Upon A Mattress (1959 Original Broadway Cast).
- Later in her career, Carol Burnett turned to loud humor based on family conflict, and I lost my taste for her. However, this is early Carol Burnett and displays her at her best. I would also add that she did an excellent turn as the queen in the recent television version of this musical.
There is a wonderful line in the play, just after Winifred's appearance climbing over the wall, that establishes her character, even before "I'm Shy." She looks at the crowd and exclaims, "I swam the moat." My remembrance of the Burnett television showing was that she gave an emphasis to the line. Both the Ullman telecast and the one community theater presentation I have seen threw the line away, and the point is largely missed. I thought I recalled the emphasis on this recording, but the line is not included.
As good as Burnett is here, she is not the only show. The story is playful, the music carries the plot, the rest of the cast are all beautiful in their roles. This recording preserves an important part of musical comedy history.
- Since I am in an amateur production of this show, I found the original cast recording delightful and instructional to listen to. I'm sure those who are familiar with the show will agree with me that it's well worth adding to your collection. Carol Burnette is especially delightful as Pincess Winnefred.
- I've really enjoyed this CD. I only wish the play was available on DVD.
- Loved Carol Burnett then and love her now. This original cast CD is a lovely trip down memory lane.
- No offense to any of the subsequent "Freds" but Carol Burnett OWNS this role. The recording is as fresh and funny as anything being done today and this is the version musical theatre fans should have in their library. Get it.
