- I didn't know my standards were so high until now. I guess I got spoiled with the Disney cds since they are so well done because I just cannot stomach the bad singing on this cd. Even the adult singers are just plain awful! I really wish I had listened to a sample first. UGH! Save yourselves!
- These CD's are awful. The people that are singing sound very weird and scary. It is a really, really awful bunch of CD's. Buy something else.
- I've purchased other music CD's for children. This is by far my 20 mo. old daughter's favorite! We had this CD for less than 24 hours when she was attempting to sing along. She hadn't responded like this with any other CD. When she hears the children singing on the CD, she beams and says, "Baby singing!" I also love that it is easy to actively participate with the songs. There's plenty of silliness too. I can see how this CD would be a hit with daycare providers. The music and singing is rich and creative.
- This is the most annoying children's CD we have purchased. After each song is sung, it is repeated by a child. Do yourself a favor and buy Cedarmont Kids Toddler Tunes instead. Just note that they include some religous songs in the mix.
- We were driving a good many miles, and I thought of this CD in the middle of a tantrum. It saved our sanity. No the singer is not perfect, but it is an interesting voice, and she does add a lot of kids to the mix, so all in all it worked great.

5 comments about Lullaby: A Collection.
- I first discovered this CD when I was working in the Children's Section of a large bookstore. Since then, it has been a popular baby gift, but I keep a copy for myself. Everyone needs a lullaby now and then.
- Our daughter has listened to this lullaby tape since her earliest nights. Now she is 7 and a half years old, and of all the great music choices available for her listening pleasure, this one is still her favorite to drift off to sleep with. I must admit I love it too. I logged on to see about getting the CD version, thinking it might be a good idea in case the tape eventually wears out (it hasn't yet) because yes, it really is that good! I have fallen asleep to it myself. It is a masterpiece. The music is high quality, soothing and promotes a feeling of security and peacefulness that naturally calms and relaxes even the most restless soul.
- This is a wonderfully relaxing CD. I play this at night while breastfeeding my newborn. I love the mix of different sounds and cultures. I highly recommend this CD to anyone looking to wind down after a long day.
- THE BEST! I bought this for my grandson when he was just a few months old. He is now four, and this CD has remained a bedtime favorite. Actually, it is so effective at calming and inducing sleep that as soon as he hears it, he's o-u-t. So wonderful is the music, that I've given it as a gift to four new grandbabies, and it's just as magical for them. In fact, the parents love it as well, saying that sometimes they play it for themselves, to induce their own relaxation.
- Now THIS is a lullaby CD that won't bore the adults to tears (or make them tear their hair out from annoyance). I enjoy this CD more than any other lullaby CD I bought for my daughter. Nice mix of sounds and cultures. And puts my baby to sleep!

- I purchased this CD in 2003 right before my daughter was born. I also purchased "Golden Slumbers: A fathers lullaby" which I also highly recommend. I was pregnant and the CD wasn't my favorite at first--largely because of Tina's voice. I would describe it as "sweet" and pretty, but perhaps plain. Like many others after my daughter was born and over the next couple of years it became her very favorite. Maybe it was the songs, (her favorite, "Dark Brown is the River") maybe it was the simplicity of the songs, who knows. The last couple of years the CD has gone missing. The other night my now 5-year old asked me to sing her lullabies and I started with some from this CD. I was so happy to see it still available and have reordered it. $6.25?! Wow. Cheap. I would now describe Tina's voice as pure and simple. We like it.
- When I was pregnant I purchased several lullaby CD's not knowing what my daughter would like. This is the one she LOVES! We keep it in the car and listen to it atleast once a day. It did take a few times for her to grow to love it, but now everytime it comes on she immediately calms down and often falls to sleep. If the CD ends, she fusses and I start it over again =)
The girl singing has a beautiful voice that's so easy to listen to. I often find myself singing along with her.
- I bought this lullaby collection based on the recommendations of other reviewers. I am not a fan of the singer's voice. It is way too high for my taste. My son doesn't seem to like it, either, and will not fall asleep to this CD. He prefers the Disney Lullaby Collection instead.
- [[ASIN:B0000033ZW Lullaby Favorites: Music for Little People
Although many children may like this CD, I think the title may be slightly misleading. I think adults may appreciate the traditional choices like "All through the Night" and "Summertime" more. Tina Malia's voice is awesome!
- Thank you Tina for our favorite children's CD. We play it in the car and our kids are mesmerized and fall asleep to your beautiful voice.

5 comments about All You Need Is Love: Beatles Songs for Kids.
- I bought this cd for my two-year-old daugther since her dad and I are both big Beatles fans in hopes of exposing her to them at an early age. Don't bother! Just play a real Beatles cd for your kids. It wouldn't be so bad if the kids just sang, but they're trying to sound like professional singers instead of just kids having a good time. Excruciating to listen to. The only song I can sit through is Raffi's rendition of Octopus' Garden. My daughter doesn't like to listen to it either.
- This is one awesome CD. If you love the Beatles (and even if you don't) you're sure to love this one. My daughter gets surprised when she actually hears the original Beatles music on the radio - because she knows the song from "her" CD.
- I have bought this cd for my own children and many times for gifts. It always gets rave reviews. I definatly recommend buying this. It is very dancable, and is very upbeat and happy.
- The songs of the Beatles are timeless. I loved most of the renditions on this CD, but there were a couple that I would have liked to have been done differently. This is strictly a matter of personal taste, and I'd still recommend it. I have no complaints about the seller, either.
- My children are boys ages 5 and 6. They love the "Birthday" song on this CD, actually. They also love "Yellow Submarine" and "All Together Now." A few others are OK, such as "Ob-La-Di" and "Octopus's Garden" and "When I'm 64." No, it's not the Beetles singing it, and I personally usually hate cover albums; it's disconcerting at first to hear a different version or different voice singing a familiar classic song. (We usually listen to kids music as well as "real" party songs-type music and other "real" music including even Johnny Cash.) And, yes, it's a little irritating to have some of the intro's by kids, such as a child complaining that it's been raining all winter before the kids sing "Here Comes the Sun." However, my kids (and their friends) do enjoy hearing other kids singing the songs. And I enjoy many of the songs myself. My biggest complaint is that many of the songs are too mellow and deemed to be not very fun by my bunch. Perhaps more suited to younger kids or girls or calmer kids? I would recommend it overall.

- I bought this for my oldest son when he was two and he loved it. There were both familiar and new songs for him on it - but all of them were good. Also, it's not so bad for an adult to listen either.
- This is definitely a cut above most music for kids, and we often listen to it over dinner. The first half is EXCELLENT, with the original Puff the Magic Dragon, Danny Kay's Ugly Duckling, and an amazing, irresistable, Skip To My Lou. The garden song is lovely. The second half however, can be a bit lame. Somewhere Over the Rainbow is boooring, and Wynken Blynken and Nod is sung in a falsetto I actually find annoying. Jelly Man Jelly and Baby Beluga are OK, nothing special. So, yes I would buy it again. But be prepared to skip the lame bits and wonder why they couldn't have chosen better for these.
- We borrowed this from the library so many times that I finally bought a copy for my daughter to own. Even us parents love it. It has many classic songs that I remember from my childhood and it's great to relive the memories again with my child.
- I used to listen to this CD with a little girl I was taking care. We love it!
Today I bought for my son and this is his favorite.
I think this is the best CD for kids ever.
- if you are looking for a CD with more than "a couple good songs" this CD is for you. A mellow CD with classics such as "Baby Beluga" and "House at Pooh Corner." You will not be sorry when you purchase this CD for your music-loving child. Great for toddlers and preschoolers!

- My son and I enjoy listening to this CD several times during the day. Love the different styles to each song.
- My son LOVES this CD, along with Toddler Favorites, also by Music for Little People. Every single time we get into the car, he wants to listen to "Twinkle" (what he calls both of the CD's). I think it's a pretty enjoyable listen, and I don't really mind hearing it over and over and over...The tunes are quite catchy. I especially like the tone of boy(?)'s voice who sings "London Bridge is Falling Down", "Old Roger", and a few others. At first I thought it was a female singing, but there is a certain quality to the singer's voice that convinced me it was a pre-pubescent boy. Good choice.
- My daughter loves this CD. Almost every song is a pleaser and has her saying "more, more." It's a little sing-songy but well worth it.
- I stumbled upon this CD in our local library for my 2 going on 3 year old daughter. She immediately fell in love with this CD! And I was not annoyed by the grown up singers or the children. (let's face it, most children's CDs can grate your nerves after a while). We took it with us for a road trip and she listened to it on her big brother's CD player. Talk about a quiet ride!! Who needs a DVD player in the truck?! We also used it as the background music at her third birthday party. It was a bonafide hit! All the kids loved it and all the mothers kept asking, "Where did you get this CD? It's great!" I'm buying two copies!
- For the money, this is a great CD. Yes, they have kids singing on it, and sometimes those kids aren't exactly Shirley Temple - if you are picky about that, then maybe it's not for you. But I don't think my little girl can tell the difference. She always quiets down to listen. The music itself is done well. The production is very good as well. Some of the songs are indeed quite catchy. One song, "Pick a Bale of Cotton", just stays in my head long after it's over...

- I loved this C.D. it has all the songs that my Mom and I listened too, my kids didn't like it so much, they only like 1-2 songs on the whole disk, I guess I am starting to get out dated with the new generation, my children are only 4 and almost 6 and I thought they would love all the catchy music, but not so.
- Not only does my five year-old son love it, but I do too. I just turned fifty, so I can relate to these songs' heyday. My boy loves them because they're joyfully silly!
- My five year old son and I both enjoy this CD. The songs are oldies but goodies and really get him moving. We've listened to it while stuck in traffic and ended up having a lot of fun! I recognize some of the songs from when I was a kid, like Monster Mash and Chewing Gum, and then there are ones from well before my day like Rockin' Robin.
I highly recommend this CD!
- As a mom, I am always on the lookout for music for my young kids. Our oldest wanted something he could keep in his room to listen to, but so many CDs these days have questionable lyrics. I wanted something he could listen to whenever he wanted. I found it!!
This CD is so much fun for the whole family to listen to...kids, parents, grandparents...everyone will love it! I was amazed that I could get all of these fabulous songs by ORIGINAL ARTISTS on one CD for this price! Usually, you will pay this much for music done by immitation artists. This was great! The kids thought so many of these songs were funny...Yakkity Yak; Splish, Splash!; Willie & the Hand Jive. We all had a few laughs and some very funny dancing. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!
- A lot of the classic Rock and Roll songs of the late 1950s-early 1960s on this album. This is a great album to introduce to young kids and adults who love classic rock and roll songs.

5 comments about Uni Verse Of Song: French.
- This CD instantly became my two-year-old's favourite. He would stand, mesmerized, listening intently. It became quite easy to get him to ask in French to listen to the disk--he was very motivated.
Almost all the songs are good arrangements, though a few are spoiled a bit by corny voices and such--like people barking like dogs to the tune of Happy Birthday and one of the female singers putting on a hick accent for her part in Old MacDonald. Otherwise, the arrangements are quite musical and pleasant for a parent to hear eight gazillion times.
I heartily recommend this recording!
- Very cute cd, our childhood favorites with a French twist! Perfect for the child who is learning English and French!
- I think that this CD is so cute! The songs are well chosen favorites and for the most part (Happy Birthday excepted:) really very nicely performed. They alternate between French and English to teach French vocab. They use kids for alot of it and my 17 month old breaks out in a smile when she hears their little voices. It seems to be one of her favorites too.
- I found this CD useful for learning French myself and trying to teach my 1 year old son. The English translation is very handy when you are starting out in French and useful for instance while driving or when you are busy and can't refer to the written translations. The music is mostly very nice and some of the tracks are beautiful like "its raining its pouring" and "clair de lune"
As my French progresses I find the constant intrusions in English annoying and I prefer to CDs now that are all in French. Some of the English speaking in the CD is also very cheesy.
- This CD is okay for parents who want to teach their children French. But Jean Rene's voice sounds like that of Chuck E Cheese. Mr. Rene probably dressed up in the costume to record this album, so I am not a fan of it. I do not recommend this album to parents who do not like taking their kids to Chuck E Cheese's.

5 comments about A Child's Celebration of Dance Music.
- This is another great CD from the "Music for Little People" series. It's got great oldies that everyone knows. All the songs make you want to get up and dance! This is music that your kid's will love and you'll love it too.
- I don't know who likes this CD more, my 18 month old twins or their grandparents!
Barbara Ann was an instant hit with the twins and nothing is cuter than seeing them dancing around the house singing ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba with or without the music playing.
- A CHILD'S CELEBRATION OF DANCE MUSIC is a wonderful collection of music put out by the Music for Little People label. There aren't very many people familiar with the albums released by Music for Little People, but thier label produces some of the best collections of popular music suitable for families that I have ever come across. Most of their albums are centered around a theme or type of music (Country, Rock and Roll, etc.) and it's all good stuff sung by the original artists. No Britney Spears or boy band songs here. Instead, songs that at one time were fairly popular, but that are now somewhat obscure are brought together with a few better known hits. This collection includes songs that are fun to dance to. Some of my favorites include:
"Twist" by Chubby Checker
"Disco Duck" by Rick Dee and His Cast of Idiots
"I Want You Back" by the Jackson 5
"Palisades Park" by Freddy Cannon
"Wooly Bully" by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs
Children and adults will both delight these songs. I can attest that I've used the album for small dance parties I've had with my friends, as major music for a 50s theme meal at a summer camp, and played it many times on the children's radio show I once djed and produced and on the webradio show I currently host. So, "Come on baby, let's do the twist."
- My children, ages 2 and 4, absolutely love this CD! It's great for road trips in the car or when the children need a little exercise. Most of the songs were released before my time, but I've learned all the words. It makes a great gift for baby-boomers too.
- IT HAS SOME GREAT DANCING TUNES-NO DOUBT. IT MAKES YOU WANT TO GET UP AND SHAKE YOUR BOTTY. I LOVE IT. MY SON, WHOM IT WAS ORIGINALLY PURCHASED FOR, IS A BIT LESS ENTHEUSTAIC.

- This music is fun! Not your typical kids' music. My son requests it over and over! Good for dancing, driving, playing...
- We love this CD. It has old favorites and new favorites. It's hard not to tap your feet and sing along!
- I saw Buckwheat Zydeco live at a summer festival and they were a blast! I was even more excited to find out they have a children's CD out! My son is two and just adores the music on the CD. It's fun to dance to and easy to sing along with. I love the cajun twist on old classics and I think it's a really cool way to introduce a different culture into my son's life. Plus, it's a well appreciated break from the sappy, sugary children's music that tends to be out there!
- I'm from Louisiana and can validate that Buckwheat is an authentic, well-known zydeco musician. He does not normally play children's music, so I was pleased to learn of this CD. I, as the parent, enjoy zydeco, and therefore enjoy this CD, which is fun and appropriate for children. My son loves it. I am pleased that he will grow up knowing the same songs that I sang as a child, and be familiar with rich Louisiana roots music. The Crawfish and Cotton Fields songs are especially nostalgic. They were my favorites growing up.
Product arrived on time and with no damages.
- After reading the reviews for this, I was soo excited to receive the cd. While I liked the idea of having narration introducing children to the music and the different instruments, I found the recordings themselves to be surprisingly flat. Where's the fun and excitement?? This is zydeco! This is zydeco for CHILDREN! The music and vocals didn't come from the heart, I felt no life in the recording. Even the Sesame Street zydeco song was better than this. My class (2 1/2 to 5 y/o) was not dancing around the room to it, either.
