- This CD picks up where raunch-n- roll left off.Of course they're gonna do Hot and Nasty it's their signature song.If the sound is a problem TURN UP THE VOLUME!!!HA!HA! I agree it needs remastered but Iconsider#2 only toR&R as a stellar live performance.
If you want better sound get their debut release or Keep the Faith. In those days live performances were notorious for poor sound quality. They were also known for Great Natural Performances from the Great Touring Bands, like BOA,Grand Funk Railroad,ZZ Top to name a few.
- the songs are good tunes but the sound quality is not very good. on some tunes you can hardly hear the guitar that is muffled by the bass.in fact the entire cd sounds muffled. i would go with raunch & roll before this one
- I actually was at the Long Beach Arena where this concert was recorded on Mother's Day 1975. I remember it fondly as one of the best live shows I ever saw. The crowd couldn't get enough of them and brought them back for multiple encores. This, in my opinion, could have easily been a double album or CD. This was when this band was at it's peak and was one of the top party bands going during the 70's. They could have played all night or until they ran out of songs before anybody had left. The 70's were the time of all the great hard rock and long hair bands and Black Oak Arkansas had to definitely be included among the best of their time. If you would like to hear only a sample of what this band could produce live on stage this is the Cd to listen to.
- If you have a house full of sh*tkickers, and your beer is disappearing from the fridge, and they're starting to make bathtub gin in the outhouse, and your next door neighbor is with the County Sheriff's Department, don't put this CD on the stereo. You'll never get 'em to leave. And granny will tan your hide in the woodshed with a switch.
Hmmmm... ON SECOND THOUGHT, TURN THIS UP REAL LOUD, SO'S THE NEIGHBORS WILL COMPLAIN, YA'LL.
THIS IS HILLBILLY GRUNGE AT IT'S FINEST.
- Been looking for this to come out on CD for 13 years. Thank God for BOA. They changed my life.

- This cd is bad. This live cd includes only elleven tracks recorded live in New York 1981.
If you looking for a concert of Joe Cocker in this periode, buy the dubble album "Standing Here" (2001), instead. Joe Cocker did a comeback in 1981 and released the album "Sheffield Steel" the following year.
- Joe Cocker sings better today[2003], then he did back in the late seventies or early eighties when this album was recorded. This cd is no better than his other live retro release from the same period "Standing Here". The fact is that Joe was still on the mend from years of self abuse and it shows in the quality of his voice. He sounds terribly strained to say the least. If you buy this cd, you should compare it to his live cd "Joe Cocker Live" from 1990 on Capital records, and listen to the difference for yourself. I can see why this is only available as an import? This live document, should never have been released period. Although the band backing him is adequate, they do not come close to matching his Chris Stainton led band on the 1990 live cd. I consider any executive who okayed the release of this cd to have committed musical malpractice. Joe Cocker deserves better!
- This is a Hot Live show by what I consider Joe's Best lineup Ever -- 1979-84 -- with the late great B.J. Wilson (of Procol Harum) on Drums and excellent guitar work by Cliff Goodwin. B.J. Wilson played on Joe's first hit -"With a Little Help From My Friends" - and in fact was credited by Joe with Saving that session after 35 unsuccessful takes with Jim Capaldi! There's a great rendition of that song on this CD, as well as other hits -- The Letter, and You Are So Beautiful; the latter includes a Gorgeous guitar solo by Goodwin. Here's hoping for More LIVE releases from this Joe's Greatest Band!

- Just watched this on AMC (yes, that's American Movie Classics). This is the rock and roll essence of Ziggy. I can take or leave the rest of Bowie, but Ziggy is a classic, and they do it right live. I am assuming the disk sounds as good as the satellite feed of the film. Ronson rocks.
Catch the film if you can. Androgyny??? scary.

- I love Nazareth...But the quality of this recording sucks...It sounds like it was recorded inside a tin can...This is a shame because what could have been an excellent concert(recorded 2002)has been reduced to audio crap...Shame on BMG for this one...Nazareth deserves better...

- This has been in circulation for some time as a bootleg (which I could never find!), but finally, an official release. Full marks to the designer: the CD booklet and case back capture the feel of 1969. The sound is not of the best, but that's to be expected. The only time it seriously breaks down is for a few seconds during "Salamanda Palaganda" - it sounds like the original tape at some point got chewed up.
Considering that Unicorn was only a few months from release at the time this was recorded, it's surprising that more songs from Unicorn aren't featured. The first half concentrates on selections from the first two albums, plus, of course, the first two singles. It's only after they've won the audience that "new" material appears. There's a lovely moment after "Once upon the Seas of Abyssinia" when Marc asks if there are any Pink Floyd fans in the house and Steve plays the first few notes of Interstellar Overdrive. They then launch into a raucous version of Do You Remember. This must have been quite a shock for the audience, the first time most of them had heard Tyrannosaurus Rex going electric! Two bonus tracks, recorded earlier in the year in Denmark are included: a manic Strange Orchestras and a wonderful version of Eastern Spell, the latter worth buying this album for alone!

- this is a 'taster', a best of if u will, of live cuts from naz's back to the trenches and live at the beeb. good sound overall, but i would buy the original sets as there are bios and interview with the band on those...no background info whatsoever on this one.
