- Who is Billy Childish? If you don't know, you could ask Jack White. Or Eddie Vedder, or Beck, or Kylie Minogue, or Kurt Cobain if he were still around. They're all influenced by Billy Childish. He's a rock n roll legend who has recorded over 100 LP's and is considered by many as the Father of Garage Rock. Learn your history. Check him out if you haven't done so already.

5 comments about Vespertine Live.
- I received Bjork's "Live Box" as a Christmas present for 2004 and was so excited to finally have my hands on it. I had, after all, wanted to own this box set a few months prior to actually owning it. The four CD's contained within it are live versions of Bjork's first four solo studio albums "Debut," "Post," Homogenic" and "Vespertine." It's taken me quite a while to truly appreciate them all as individual sets, but it's been worth it because it is truly an exceptional piece of music to add to any Bjork fan's collection.
The fourth album in the collection is "Vespertine Live," which is my personal favourite from the entire series. Out of the four live albums we have, this is definitely my favourite. I suppose I'm a little biased because Vespertine is far and away my favourite Bjork album and up there as one of the best albums I've ever heard. However, there's something about hearing this album live which sends chills down my spine. Bjork said she didn't want the listener to hear this live music and just feel it directly from the speakers, but she wanted the sound to slowly creep out and envelop them in its warm embrace. She definitely succeeded in her aim, because if you curl up in a ball and listen to this live performance in full then you'll be transported to another realm. Bjork manages to create such a sensual and intimate atmosphere in these songs that you won't want to go anywhere else. There are a total of 16 songs on this live album which were all taken from the Vespertine World Tour which ran from August to December 2001.
The album opens with "Frosti," the cute little music box instrumental which divided the original album. Here it is used to open the show. Bjork gently caresses the hand made music box before moving into "Overture." Taken from the "Selmasongs" album, this is, I suppose, a second intro. The full orchestral section on this song is very powerful and sets the tone completely, before we move into the third song. This is the majestic "All Is Full Of Love." As the song gradually swirls in, Bjork arrives to sing her classic lines of this beautiful masterpiece. This is and always will be one of my favourite Bjork songs ever, and hearing it live is such an overwhelming experience. A complete assault on the emotions. "Cocoon" follows and is so gentle and fragile it could break in the light of day. This version is amazing and almost better than the original. Bjork's character shines through so much especially as she sings "A train of pearls..." The next song is the stunning "Aurora" which is a beautiful piece that opens with the sound effects of crunching snow under foot. Bjork sounds amazing as ever as her vocals rise to the angelic harp that flutters around the set.
"Undo" is next and is such a beautiful live piece. This could very well be the best performance on the album, because it achieves the effect that Bjork was hoping for - hear those opening notes of this song and you can't help but be drawn in. This has always been one of my favourite Bjork songs and credit has to be given to the amazing all-female choir from Greenland. "Unravel" is the second of only two songs from "Homogenic" here, and it fits in beautifully where no other songs from that album would do. This sparse and mournful ballad is short and sweet singing a story of lost love to the Devil. Bjork fans know it, but hearing it live is a complete revelation. "I've Seen It All" is amazing live and receives a generous reception from the audience. Thom Yorke is not here to provide his vocals on his parts so Bjork fills them in. Maybe he wasn't asked to sing them because a male voice might shatter the fragile tenderness of this intimate setting. Who knows.
"An Echo, A Stain" is an amazing song, but this live version is a bit of a letdown for me. The album version is one of my favourite songs ever, but this live version is a bit too sharp for my liking. The electronica can be a bit overpowering at times for me, and this was, in my opinion, the most relaxed and serene song Bjork has ever recorded. "Generous Palmstroke" is a great highlight of this album due to the harp played beautifully by Zeena Parkins. I've not actually heard it many times before so I'm a little unfamiliar with it, but it fits in perfectly here. "Hidden Place" is amazing live. Not quite as structured as the album version, but amazing nonetheless. The intimate audience setting really love this song judging on the reception it receives. The female choir is great here and Bjork weaves her magic web around the arrangement to create something completely enchanting. "Pagan Poetry" is great live and the mixture between hi-tech, electronic blips and crackles with older, more traditional instruments is very appealing. Bjork doesn't sing quite as powerfully as she does on the original which suits the setting much better.
"Harm Of Will" always had one of the best intros to any Bjork song I'd ever heard. The violins are so sweet and fragile that you feel they would bend and break if there was any tension in the room. This beautiful song doesn't feature the 'cut and paste' style of vocals which Bjork achieved on the album version, but works much better for it. "It's Not Up To You" is a song I was obsessed with at one point. When listening to the album, I would keep this on repeat for many times. I love how the song opens up really closed and shut off, before just unfolding and creating this large space, by use of the choir of course. This isn't quite replicated live, but it's just as enjoyable a listen. "Unison" is superb live and proved me wrong when I thought Bjork wouldn't be able to pull this off live. The song has such a gradual build up and I wasn't sure she could achieve it, but she does. The album closes with "It's In Our Hands," which was a brand new song at the time. This song is a bit more alert and upbeat than anything else on the album. Bjork said she enjoyed performing this, because it was almost like she could rock out at the end after performing all these slow - albeit beautiful - songs. This has grown to be one of my favourites on the album. There's a sound like an aeroplane that powers up as the chorus approaches, it's quite incredible.
OVERALL GRADE: 10/10
I was so impressed with this live album that I went out straight away yesterday and bought the "Royal Opera House" DVD which is Bjork's amazing performance in London opera house of the songs on this CD. I have yet to watch it in its entirety, but I have been very impressed with what I've seen so far. The aim for Bjork's studio albums is to have everything perfectly synchronised and in place to make the most of her stunning music. When everything's in place, it will take your breath away by the second. However, singing the songs live, Bjork breaks them down and allows the listener access to all the little sounds that nestled in the corners of the original songs, but couldn't be accessed because of the album's tight structure. It's like once you heard those little sounds, they were gone because something else had replaced them, such was the complexity of the album. There's a definite acoustic element in these live recordings, which should be respected and commended. If you buy this live album then I suggest you buy the DVD of the concert too, as a sort of companion. Either way, if you love Vespertine then you must own this.
- I bought this CD not knowing how Bjork sounds live, or aware of how the live experience can truly enhance the life of a song. And boy, i sure don't regret buying this and finally hearing how Bjork sounds live! I swear, i have been playing this CD non-stop. Bjork in concert is truly an organic experience where her songs are more earthly, sweet, introvert, chilling, uplifting, and so much more. Vespertine is one of my most fav. albums of hers next to Homogenic. Some people might think how she could possibly make Vespertine even better than the studio album. And as Bjork always does, she surprises and amazes us by showing that she definitely has no limits, and that yes, she can bring more soul to her music. I almost cried on many of the songs that touched me from the start, such as All Is Full of Love, I've Seen It All, Harm of Will, and Unison. Bjork is at her best in this live version album. I am also going to get Bjork's vespertine live version on DVD as well. I cant wait! If you are a fan of Bjork, or inquisitive about how Bjork sounds live, than try out Vespertine Live! You won't regret it!
- For some reason some reviewers I've read on amazon seem to have a problem with Vespertine. I have been following Bjork's career since I was a kid listening to the Sugarcubes and I generally think her solo albums have progressed for the better. Homogenic was an undeniable classic and, for me, Vesperine was the next logical step. It's an incredible record. Perhaps less accesible than her previous efforts, but artistically just incredible. Matmos did a beautiful job complimenting her work and they bring a more minimal IDM feel to the beats than Mark Bell or Graham Massey, etc. Should there be any doubt that Vespertine is a triumph, this live CD should put all of it to rest. I got this CD as a part of the live box and I consider it the crowning jewel of that set. This album actually comes across better live in my opinion. The lengths she went to in order to reproduce this record are very respectable. A full orchestra, an inuit choir, and matmos creating beats by among other things mic-ing shuffling cards or stepping on crushed salt. The live version of Vespertine is really exquisite. Even "Hidden Place" which is my least favorite song on Vespertine comes across much better live. And the CD reaches its peak from there. The last few tracks are mind-blowing. The live version of "Harm of Will" brings me to tears and is one of the best examples of Bjork's outstanding vocal range I've ever heard. Among live versions of songs from Vespertine are incredible renditions of "Unravel" and "All is Full of Love." This is a must for any Bjork fan. Anyone skeptical about Vespertine should really hear this CD, it may change your mind.
-
Okey, I've got every CD Bjork has recorded in the last 20 years. I think she's just totally amazing. So I got this CD too, without really knowing what it would sound like, because you know every time Bjork releases a new CD it's like opening the book of a totally new story. Sure you recognize her voice, but her special sound is very variating. So, what would it be this time? Electronic industrial like on Homogenic, or Houseindiepop like on Debut? Maybe the jazzy triphop-sound that dominated Post? No idea.
So I got the CD, right, and the first noices on the first track just caught me. The whole song just like the sound of a toyharp. Lovely. And than the miracle followed. Her voice, the sounds, the instruments, everything just made sense (even the wacky breathing on track 9 "An Echo A Stain"). When I try to think of a song I don't like on this record, I realize it's impossible. It's like entering a forest of fairy tales or swim in the sky. LOVELY! I could write a book about this CD, but I'm sure the very thought of it makes you tired. So I'm gonna end this review right here with the words: this is amazing. Totally amazing. Get this music as quickly as you can! =)
- Okay, the regular reviews tell us that what's performed live is something of a copy of the studio-sound the CD gives the listener. But oh, you can make the sound of a concert's live performance so much more, you can make it introduce the crowd to a whole new way of listening to the music. Songs are performed in a unfamiliar way which means it get's a whole new meaning. Björk succeeds in doing this, but still she keeps the magical spell put in it, that you may recognize from the original CDs. Many of her most well-known songs are here: from "Hidden Place" to the beautiful song "I've seen it all" from the soundtrack to Dancer In The Dark (but Björk gets to play both parts of the singing). The very rare song "Generous Palmstroke", which at first time sounds a bit like "Like Someone In Love" from the CD Debut (1995,) immediately became one of my greatest favourites. The whole thing arranged on stage with all the strings and choirs somehow, to me, makes the music more arousally alive. You travel into this mystic world of Björk - and you do it live! I'd like to call it music that's wide awake. Like, when you listen to her CDs you enter a dreamworld, but when hearing the concerts and the live performances you wake up and the music flows into you and you're alive in all the melodies of life. How wonderful!
Just can't give it less than FIVE well deserved stars. Magical!

1 comments about Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture.
- This CD is pure excellence, The Performance is legendary and the sound quality is improved greatly despite some minor mixing problems. The only problem with the performance is that it has been tampered with quite a lot. All the backing vocals have been rerecorded quite obviously by Bowie himself and if that isn't unnatural enough, the acoustics of the hall (Delay, Echo) have not been recreated on the new tracks. New instruments have been added everywhere, Sax Parts, an extra guitar on "Watch That Man", an extra piano track on Changes, They're everywhere.
Still vastly worthy of 4 stars. NOTE: THE TRACKLISTING FOR THIS CD ABOVE IS WRONG, THAT IS THE ZIGGY STARDUST ALBUM! VIEW THE DVD FOR CORRECT TRACKLISTING.

- ...But She Is A Rock 'n' Roll Star! (Thanks, Mott)
The first (and only?) transsexual rock star, Jayne County started out as Wayne County. Leaving his home in Atlanta, Georgia for the bright lights of New York City in the late '60's - Wayne became an actor in a Warhol play and a scenester and DJ at the renowned rock club Max's Kansas City.
While primarily a performance artist at first, eventually he'd release 2 New York Dolls-ish albums beginning in 1978. A third record was more "new wave". On these 3 he was billed as Wayne County. After time spent in London and Berlin, he re-emerged as Jayne County - and has recorded and performed with this name ever since. It's a fascinating story, and well-told in her 1995 autobiography "Man Enough To Be A Woman". It's obvious she was the inspiration for "Hedwig and the Angry Inch".
"Rock 'n' Roll Resurrection" (1980) was her 4th album, and the first as Jayne. It's a kick-[...] rock record - by far the best she's ever made. Though she's often lumped in with the punk crowd, her music isn't really punk. Sure, she has a few fast punky numbers, but generally she's a highly theatrical glam-rock star. She's also a rock scholar from years of DJ'ing, and knows what works for a song. County displays a real understanding of rock dynamics, and expertly builds songs from slow to fast, with exciting climaxes. On this album she covers the Barbarians' 1965 hit "Are You A Boy Or Are You A Girl", and Tommy James and the Shondells' "Hanky Panky", in addition to her own raunchy songs.
I think she hasn't been taken too seriously as a singer. On the surface, it sounds like a joke. A man (woman) in a wig and heels putting out great albums? People think you're kidding when you rave about her.
But I'm here to tell you she's the real deal. This is a "live" concert record, and contains many of her most notorious classics. Be forewarned - a lot of this is very graphic about sex, and foul-mouthed too. Blasphemous at times. Self-deprecating. Funny. And a lot of fun. But most of all, it's one of the greatest rock albums I've ever heard. I've played this to death over the years, and it holds its own with the Dolls and Stooges. If this sounds like too much praise for what is generally perceived as a novelty act, well - what can I tell you? The girl's got it!

- I remember years ago that 'Still Got...' was only available on cassette.Thank goodness for CD reissues, wouldn't you say?I mean cassettes break or jam all too often anyway.Total of 25 songs played in one hour's time.Any Dickies fan should be much delighted with this disc as the guys tend to show off their all American brand of high-energy straight ahead punk.Plenty of covers as well.Covers that you might not expect a punk band to play, like Sabbath's "Paranoid",Paul Simon's "The Sound Of Silence",Moody Blue's "Nights In White Satin",the Monkee's "She" and Barry McGuire's "Eve Of Destruction".Oh and they even close out the set with the Banana Split's theme. Now,that's what I call original.Just an all around fun CD to listen to.Should appeal to fans of The Damned,Buzzcocks,Generation X and the Dead Milkmen.
- I just heard from the Dickies on this very subject. This is a CD re-release of the cassette "We Aren't the World" that was released on ROIR. The performance is excellent, although the sound quality lacks sometimes. I had the cassette of this release in about 1988 or 89 and it has long been out of print.
Take it for what it is... that is, A GREAT DICKIES CD. If you are a Dickies fan, I would suggest buying the following DVD: The Best of Flipside Video, Volume 1. There is a great performance by the Dickies, as well as an amazing set by the Circle Jerks. There are also performances by Bad Religion and The Weirdos. There is also a new live video from Japan that is being released!!!
- I bought "Dawn of the Dickies" in about 1984 and was immediately mesmerized. How could any band beat the withering, flipped-out guitar solo in "Nights in White Satin", or the playful lyrics in "Stuck in a Pagoda (with Tricia Toyota)"? Sad to say, "Dawn" has never been released on CD and I'm stuck with my old LP version (and here I am, caught between turntables! ). When I found that amazon.com had this CD available I jumped at the chance to purchase it and I have to say, I was disappointed. The song selection was great, but the CD was "digitally cloned", as it says on the back cover, from a 1986 cassette! Come on! Several songs drop out countless times in the middle and most of the CD is muddled and unprofessional. This one is only for hardcore collectors of Dickies material.....uh, like me. Maybe we can get amazon.com to exert some pressure on the record label or the band to re-release "Dawn of the Dickies, undoubtedly the finest moment in L.A. punk recording.......
Watching Abe Vigoda and everything will be fine!
- 25 tracks, and not exactly like the album versions (this is good!). Excellent selection of their best songs. Now if only Dawn of the Dickies were still in print.... ah.. this cd makes me feel like im in high school.

4 comments about Live at the Longhorn.
- Yeah, it's about time things make it to cd in hopes of better quality. Well, yes, it's better quality than the tape I had of the live show from vinyl. I never knew it was gonna come out, but 10 years after I'd first heard it, it's here and I bought it! The LP didn't have all of the live tracks! This cd has 37 songs. Pretty cool! They did very good versions of 60's covers. They are a very tight band for a band who did garage covers in the 70's. That was kinda unheard of, but these guys did them and they did them well. Another great band from the Minnesota area!
- It's ironic that '60s revivalist bands often produce records that are as rare and difficult to find as the records from which their material is sourced. Such is the case for this Midwest band's fantastic 1980 Bomp LP, "Hypstrization!" Despite the backing from Bomp, the album went unnoticed by many ardent garage rock fans, only to attain a level of cult desirability among collectors in later years. The band themselves were an anachronism, reviving mid-60s garage rock in the teeth of late-70s punk, thrilling and confounding audiences in fraternal halls, local ballrooms and bowling alleys throughout the upper Midwest. What made it work, and what comes across so clearly on these live recordings, is that the group was fully committed to the sounds they produced, and the fuel of fellow punk bands (both local like The Suicide Commandos, and god-like, such as The Ramones) made their snarling, thrashing garage rock a lot more than a pose.
Bomp's original LP is included in full as this CD's opening 15 tracks. It's a sweaty evening of garage rock classics - whether or not they were garage rock in the first place. In addition to mid-60s punk anthems like "Riot on Sunset Strip," "Talk Talk" and "96 Tears," the band revs up the soul side "In the Midnight Hour" and "I Go Crazy," and takes The Small Faces' "All or Nothing" out for a heartfelt spin. The non-stop assault, punctuated by occasional song count-offs, follows the performance template the band picked up from The Ramones, as does their combination of hammering guitars topped with melodic vocals.
This reissue expands upon the original LP with 18 additional live selections from the same pair of nights at Jay's Longhorn. These extra tracks include more garage-ified soul/funk tunes ("Hold on I'm Coming" "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag"), Nuggets/Pebbles standards ("Action Woman" "Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White"), well-picked British Invasion winners ("Come See Me" "66-5-4-3-2-1" and "I'm Not Talking"), rockabilly rave-ups (Eddie Cochran's "C'mon Everybody"), and some '60s chart oddities (Sgt. Barry Sandler's "Ballad of the Green Berets" and The Shangri-Las "Remember (Walking in the Sand"). Closing out the collection is a trio of live tracks waxed in 2004 (including a stomping of The Sonics' "The Witch"), proving that the band rocks just as frenetically now as they did twenty-five years ago. This is a must have for garage rock fans, original or neo. [©2005 hyperbolium dot com]
- "Eagerly Awaited" is too mild a term to apply to this motherload of live recordings by the frentically thrashing short-attention-span-theatre that is the Twin Cities' own Hypstrz, but this CD has been nearly a quarter of a century coming. The recording history of this group started with some sweaty, shout-yourself-hoarse live gigs taped over a weekend in April 1979 at Jay's Longhorn. These tapes netted the songs that made up their obscure 1979 4 song EP as well as a 15 song LP called "Hypsterization" released on BOMP in 1980. These slabs of vinyl were like a shot of pure grain alcohol to a world whose mainstream music was more like stale, room temperature Pabst Blue Ribbon. Though these records have been hard to find, out of print for more than a generation, and maddeningly expensive as rare items, all has now been rectified by BOMP finally allowing this disc to escape into an unsuspecting public who needs to hear this music---and in addition to the 19 previously released songs, there are another 18 previously "locked up" Hypstrz hits for a total bonanza of 37 songs!
"What's all the fuss about? Who are these guys", you ask? A generic snapshot of the Hypstrz would be "the best cover band specializing in somewhat obscure 60's songs you will ever hear", but that somewhat-limiting description doesn't quite do full justice to what a great rock and roll band this is. They have an incredible knack for taking material that was pretty darn good to begin with, and somehow improving on it most of the time. As I long suspected and as confirmed in the liner notes, The Hypstrz ripped a page out of the Ramones playbook (after seeing the first Twin Cities' Ramones gig in July, 1976). You know, the page that says, "speed `em up, dumb `em down, and thrash 'em out quickly, one after another with scarcely a pause". This isn't a Ramones impersonation, even though the cover art for this disc is suspiciously similar to the cover of the Ramones "Hey Ho, Let's Go" Anthology. The Hypstrz are actually better than the Ramones at nailing 60's covers, anyway. (One listen to "Acid Eaters" will prove me right on this point).
For material, the boys scoured some pretty deep record collections to come up with stuff. Nowadays, you can find reissues and "Nuggets" style collections just about anywhere of all kinds of great originals from the "Garage/Punk" wing of 60's rock, but the Hypstrz started honing their sets when most of this stuff was barely 10 years old, long before the advent of the CD and any of the subsequent waves of 60's garage rock revivals. This means that these guys went prospecting through thrift store record sections and older siblings' collections for inspiration. Most of choices of cover songs came from American bands, like:
13th Floor Elevators (Tried To Hide, You're Gonna Miss Me)
Standells (Sometimes Good Guys Don't Wear White, Riot On Sunset Strip)
Chocolate Watchband (Let's Talk About Girls)
The Barbarians (Are You A Boy Or Are You A Girl)
Shadows Of Knight (I'm Gonna Make You Mine)
Love (7& 7 is, also the arrangement of Hey Joe is like theirs (and The Leaves/The Byrds)
The Litter (Action Woman )
Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels (Jenny Take A Ride)
The Music Machine (Talk Talk)
The Syndicate of Sound (Little Girl)
? and the Mysterians (96 Tears)
The Remains (Don't Look Back)
The Sonics (The Witch)
Flamin' Groovies (Slow Death)
They were not averse to crossing the pond for material, though--they hit up UK artists, like the Pretty Things for 3 songs on here (Can't Stand The Pain, Come See Me, Midnight To Six Man) and also made off with tunes by The Small Faces (All Or Nothing), The Troggs (66-5-4-3-2-1) and the Yardbirds (I'm Not Talking). Even some soul music artists were subjected to their violent pummeling, such as James Brown (I'll Go Crazy, Papa's Got A Brand New Bag), Sam and Dave (Hold On, I'm Coming) and Wilson Pickett (In The Midnight Hour). There are also some novelties like Sgt. Barry Sadler's Ballad of the Green Berets and a thrashed-up girl group number by the Shangra-La's called Remember (Walking In The Sand). The Hypstrz version was recorded over 6 months before Aerosmith released a version on their "Night In The Ruts" LP, by the way. The song tally finally ends with three originals buried in this 37 song feast.
The sound is a medium-high fidelity "warts and all" live recording. They're fast, tight and solid--- not sloppy, but not perfect either. Ernie Batson on guitar blends wall-of sound-distortion, Chuck Berry leads, and lightning quick chord changes in a whirlwind of basic but impressive rock guitar skills. Bill Batson on lead vocals lends a frat-rock shout along mentality to the proceedings and screams like a Banshee when he needs to. The rhythm section is locked in tight but special kudos must go to Randy Weiss on bass-who proves hands-down that he's the Upper Mid-West, healthier version of John Entwistle. These guys often play like they're really late for some other gig. I never thought the original 96 Tears was slow, but after you hear the "Warp-Factor 6" Hypstrz version, you'll think of the original as some sort of funeral dirge. The last three songs on the disc, of similar fidelity to the others yet recorded over 25 years later at a July 2004 gig, demonstrate both how tight and manic this band STILL is, and how they can still miss chords or go out of tune like any good garage band.
This is one blistering set of powerful music delivered with a laser-like intensity. If a listen to this fails to move you or raise your vital signs, see your physician (or undertaker) immediately. This could not be more highly recommended to anyone who professes to love Rock & Roll.
- The Twin Cities have produced a lot of great albums in the
last couple decades. Let it Be, Zen Arcade, Hang Time, In
Combo, Big Hits of Mid America...Now another classic album
has finally been re-released by Bomp Records. The classic
HYPSTRIZATION album by the Hypstrz along with the rare 4 song
EP on Bogus Records and various live tracks has been put together on one fantastic disc. 36 tracks in all !!!!!!
Get yourself ready for the HYPSTRZ LIVE AT THE LONGHORN.
It includes turbo charged versions of classics from James
Brown, The Dictators, The Chocolate Watch Band, The Litter
and the 13th Floor Elevators. Also a couple of classic Hypstrz
originals like "Only Matter of Time" and "This has got to be
a joke. Always a magicial live band, now you can go back in
the time machine and feel the maximum rock and roll impact of
a Hypstrz live show. This is not only one of the best local
albums ever put out....but I think one of the best live albums
ever put out by anyone !!!!

- This is by far one of my favorite live albums. Great set of songs. The only real problem I have with it is that the copy I bought in on of the local stores around my house, only has the first 15 tracks. I don't know if I got jipped, or if Amazon has just simply made a type o.
This is a great album to introduce yourself to Turbonegro. If you enjoy it, I reccomend getting Apacolypse Dudes and Ass Cobra. And if you really like it, maybe Scandinavian Leather.
- You couldn't be there, so hear it like you were. This is a warts and all document of two shows before Hank's breakdown. For a band so close to the edge, they were sharp as a knife. Fantastic recording of a fantastic band. My only complaint would be that Euroboy is not loud enough in some parts, so the solos don't slice like they should. If you've already got all the other albums, there's no reason you shouldn't have this one.
- Having all their other albums up till the point this one came out, with Ass Cobra as a clear fav, I had some expectations. Ah, but no. The sound is so incredibly bad, that it makes Ass Cobra sound polished, which I'm sorry to say is not a good thing, their version of "I got Erection" lame beyond belief and quite frankly, if you're there and @##%ed up on various stimuli, then it is rather cool to listen to the moronic stage patter, but dead sober it is just right down embarrising listening to Hertis (the lead singer) shouting the Norwegian word for, you know the pleasure center of women, for 5 minutes. Ah well they can't all be as good as Ramones' Its Alive, but this bad??? Come on!!!!
- If you're reading this, you probably already know how great this band is. Live album from last few dates of European tour before they broke up (again). Amazingly, they sound better (and rougher) live than in the studio. Most of the songs are from "Apocalypse Dudes" but there are a few from "Ass Cobra". Unfortunately, nothing from their early days. Nonetheless, a great live album. Vinyl version comes with extra songs, limited edition poster and artwork.

- The most enjoyable live recording I've had the pleasure of listening to. "Pensativa" is a master piece. Where can I get a copy of this recording?
