- For fans of Ben Harper, this is a must have. Enjoyable live versions of his notable songs are here and the cover of "Sexual Healing" is fantastic.
- Greatly written songs. Powerful music by great artists. A must-have for any fan of music of any kind
- Its a great CD. Mix of diffrent musical styles. Easy to get into and realy enjoy
- Title says it all. This is the most amazing live album I've ever bought. From the harder riffs on Ground On Down and Excuse Me Mr. to the softer soulful Not Fire, Not Ice this album is amazing. Then there's Please Bleed, The Drugs Don't Work, Walk Away, and Roses From My Friends. If these songs don't tear at your heart then you've never been in love or music just might not be for you. Along with Blessed To Be A Witness they are some of the most powerfully moving songs I've ever listened to and the live recordings just add to it. I have nothin bad to say about this except that even at 25 songs IT'S TOO SHORT! I wanted even more live songs!!! Just an incredible piece of work. Buy it.
- this recording doent fully convey the essence of his concerts. there are better recordings of each song one can find on morpheus or limewire. It is worth the money spent however, i just found that there were a lot more worthy performances of his out there.

- This live album was RAGE's final performance together,so the best of their songs are included in the album. I would reccommend this to someone who wants to witness and experience politically (or rather, anti-political) charged lyrics being spewed out, while simaltaneously being backed up by equally harmonic and juxtapositioning guitar. I feel that the live recording is better than the studio takes, mainly because of the palpable emotion (mainly anger, or rather rage) that helps get their message of individualism and transcending political stupidity to the listener better. The crowd roars when u roar and u feel as if u are at the concert. This is not an album to pass up, GET IT!
- LOVE this album.....what an amazing band!
We had tickets to a show that was cancelled right before the break-up and never got over it, at least this makes it a little better. Just sit back with a six pack & wish you were there!
- but never bad. Buy it just to play loud and feel like you're not really a complete sell-out (even though you are).
- I loved Rage Against the Machine before this album, but this album made them my favorite band ever. It blew me away right from the start with "bulls on parade". The intro to that song works perfectly with the bass that would later start it off. This album might have been the worst thing that has happened to Rage. Because after listening to all those songs live, it made their studio versions sound quieter and not as energetic and fun. Especially songs like "born of a broken man" and "know your enemy". Most of the songs were nailed perfectly like "killing in the name", "calm like a bomb", and "testify". I think that is just a tribute to the band and shows how talented they are. Zack is very explosive and i love how he changes his singing styles. I could just feel all of his emotion in "FREEDOM!"
The one song that I did not think was too good was "kick out the jams" i thought his singing was way faster than the music and sounded sloppy.
I also recommend the DVD, so you can see their performance at the 2000 Democratic National Convention.
- A couple of years ago, I was beginning to wonder if Rage Against the Machine were ever going to release a Greatest Hits album. After all, they were a very popular and influential and innovative group, and I'm sure Zach de la Rocha misses the income (no matter how much he is against money/greed/wealth).
Well, only a short while before these political rap-rockers disbanded (because Zach left), Rage were busy touring in support of their latest album, 2000's covers disc, "Renegades." While touring, they made a stop over in their hometown (Los Angeles) and played a show which was actually recorded and was to be released as a live album which wouldn't see the light of day for three years.
Unless the record label decides to cash in and releases a Greatest Hits album for Rage's anniversary, "Live At The Grand Olympic Auditorium" is as close to being a greatest hits album that you're going to get. But, at the same time, this live C.D. is much better than a Greatest Hits release. Why? Well, RATM's live shows were quite powerful, energizing, and inspirational. Thus, some of the songs on here are so intense, they actually make the studio versions sound calm and restrained (for proof, see "Bulls on Parade" and "Testify")!
The rhythm section (composed of Tom Morello, Tim Cummerford, and Brad Wilk), coupled with Zach's angry vocals and inspired lyrics, makes every one of these songs detonate like a grenade. Tom, not surprisingly, pulls off a flawless performance. As "Testify," and the aforementioned "Bulls On Parade" show, he makes noises on the guitar that I couldn't even make with my mouth! His guitar swoops, beeps, punches, crunches, chugs, creaks, wails, and about everything in between. Also, Tim's bass (which hums, grumbles, and makes a wah-wah sound) is a lot more audible, here, than originally. Finally, drummer Brad Wilk fills in the remaining gaps and anchors the songs, making them as solid and impenetrable as a brick wall.
Even though the whole set is great, my personal favorite songs are "Bulls on Parade," "Bullet In The Head" (where Zach switches off vocal parts with the crowd), "Sleep Now In The Fire" (which also features some great bass riffs), the exciting, adrenaline-pumped and very catchy renditions of "Guerilla Radio" and "Kick Out The Jams," and the perfect album/concert closer, "Freedom" (which has a few impromptu, added lyrics).
Ultimately, it's just a hair away from being perfect. Zach can't complete the whole rendition of "Killing In The Name" without pausing to take a breath, and he forgets part of the ending to "Know Your Enemy." And, I, overall, prefer Rage's "Live and Rare" album to this. But, even still, "Live At The Grand Olympic Auditorium" is more than a welcome inclusion in your collection and a great snack if you're tired of listening to the same four Rage C.D.'s again and again.

- If you prefer your rock and roll loud, fast, sloppy, and passionate, then, you are likely to agree with my opinion that the Ramones are far superior live than they were in the studio. So, when you are ready to purchase a Ramones' album, make sure it is a live performance and not a studio album or a greatest hits collection. You have a choice to make...
Stay away from Loco Live. The one good thing about that cd was that, because it was recorded in 1990, it has some good songs that aren't on the two CDs I'll mention soon. For instance, "I Wanna be Sedated", "KKK Took my Baby Away", "Rock and Roll Radio", "Wart Hog", etc. Besides for that, Loco Live is inferior in every way to two other live albums you should choose from.
IT'S ALIVE and Live January 7, 1978 at the Palladium, NYC have much in common. In case you didn't know, It's Alive was recorded on New Year's Eve, London, 1977. NYC 1978 was recorded a week later at the Palladium in New York City. The exact same set of songs are to be found on both of the albums. The set contains all the early hits of the Ramones first three studio albums. Live, the songs are played (1) faster, (2) looser...basically it sounds like punk rock.
Personally, I would get both of the above mentioned. But if you have to get just one, then you have a decision to make.
NYC 1978 has far and away the better sound quality of the two. If `lo-fi' recordings are not your thing, go with NYC. Joey's vocals are louder and more distinguishable -- more distinct from everything else. Theirs less crowd noise than there is in It's Alive. The rhythm section is similarly more prevalent in the NYC recording. It's Alive is dominated by treble-heavy guitar riffs; everything seems to bleed together into one loud and fast noise. It's merely speculation, but perhaps they were f***** up on New Year's Eve.
The New Years may be the more inspired performance. Risks were taken; Joey alters the timing of his delivery: an experiment that produced the best renditions of their songs to be found anywhere. Personally, I like the Lo-Fi - I think it works perfect for the Ramones.
I like It's Alive better. But I also know people who hate It's Alive, but like the NYC live. You can sample a small clip of each (either on Amazon, or i-tunes); a small sample is all you will need to tell which one you will prefer.
- Hard to say, the first 4 are so great and there are other great ones, too. Either way, this is an absolutely essential purchase. It's often overlooked on the list of classic live albums (Kick Out The Jams, No Sleep Til Hammersmith, Grand Funk's Live Album). The energy is over the top. If you never saw the Ramones they really were this tight, played the songs this fast (and faster later on to fit more in the set) and played this many in a row without stopping. Incredible!
Check out Mighty High...in Drug City.
- The Ramones really seem to polarize listeners more than just about any band I've ever heard. Either you love em', or it's the worst thing you've ever heard. I can't tell you how many times my high school friends---small town would-be musos, wasting their time learning Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam songs---trashed these guys with the "can't play" argument. Well, okay, maybe I'll concede that Johnny never seemed to learn how to play the guitar riff to "California Sun," but here he is playing it anyway. Really, what the Ramones were all about was bringing back the fun and excitement to rock and roll in the face of 70's dreck like the singer-songwriters and progressive "rockers." The impact of the Ramones in the 70's can't be denied, especially live. From what I've read, people literally could not believe what they were seeing. You can get a sense of that from the studio albums, but you REALLY get it here. The Ramones finest moment? Maybe---maybe not. One of rock and roll's best ever live albums? Definitely.
- Screams Sound Susserations of Beat Prose The Flow Of Words.Perfect Live album For The Ramones Alot Of Hits Great Perfomance Hands Down If You Like The Ramones You MUST have This Album.....Pogo
- There was an old saying, "Before The Ramones,There Was Nothing" well, Im 43yrs. old now,and I have learned that there is nothing, AFTER, the Ramones either.GOD I miss these guys so much it hurts.Cant wait to see you guys on the other side. Till then...1,2,3,4!!!!HEY HO LETS GO!!!

5 comments about Boingo Alive: Celebration of a Decade 1979-1988.
- I grew up on Oingo Boingo in some ways living in Cali for a time listening to the Baha Cali radio in San Diego in the early 80's (oh man that was the day!). Today I was just listening to Gray Matter and I swear I connected it with the theme to Gigantor, anyone else get that connection? LOL. Grey Matter, Grey Matter oh oh oh ohhhh, Gigantor Gigantor, Giangantooooor. Just a useless boomer thought. Great band to play when you are doing your 80's party thing!
- I purchased the CD for my son in Canada, to introduce him to the group. I have been living in France since 1981 and actually saw the Mystic Nights Of The Oingo Boingo when they were a Theatre Group and performed at a party I attended in the 1970's. I purchased a cassette tape of this album at my local thrift store in Cherbourg, France on the basis of having once seen the Theatre Group. I was astonished to find how the group had evolved over time and found the music to be some of the most brilliant I have encountered in sixty years of life on earth, some of it as a professional rock musician. The combination of talents brought together in this group and their telepathic musical "mind meld" is Cosmic. The songs from the musical standpoint are wonderful group acts of creative genius. Bravo and thank you to Danny Elfman, Steve Bartek and every player in the group. Wonderful Stuff! I found something to like in every song.
- This album is NOT just for long-time Oingo Boingo fans, take it from me. I discovered them only recently, and after hearing them, I couldn't get enough. Then I found this album and decided to get it, and now I can NOT stop listening to it. I'm not sure how this band was able to actually sound BETTER live (without an audience, it's true) than in a studio, but Oingo Boingo did it. The music is rich and complex, and Danny Elfman's unique voice is in top form. (NO ONE sounds quite like him, by the way.) And these are the songs Boingo LIKES to play, so each one is manic and infectiously catchy and, well, CRAZY fun. I'm a new fan, and even I can tell, this is the band at their best. I only wish I was old enough to have seen them in concert.
- Love the songs they added to the CD. My delivery was 10 days late (USPS) but the packaged arrived in good condition and the CD is great.
- Two disks full of Oingo Boing at thier best. If you're a fan at all and don't have this I highly recommend you get it! You will NOT be disappointed. If you're new to Oingo Boingo music I'd also say this is a perfect collection of thier music to start with.

5 comments about Wide Awake in America.
- The version of "Bad" on this album is one of the definitive U2 live cuts. The rest of the album is ok, but meant for serious U2 fans only. Those new to the band should go pick up the Joshua Tree album.
- As a die-hard U2 fan and collector (I have at least 40 bootlegs of theirs), their 1985 EP 'Wide Awake In America' remains one of my favorite efforts from U2. While it does only contain 4 songs total, it's still something that U2 fans should not overlook.
'Bad' was recorded in London in early 1985. It is an awesome version of the song, one of the best I've heard; it is by a long shot better than the studio version that appears on 'The Unforgettable Fire' (1984).
'A Sort Of Homecoming' is even better than 'Bad.' This version is a lot heavier than the album version from 'The Unforgettable Fire,' but it's probably better. It's a cool version; you can hear the crowd getting involved.
The last two songs are outtakes from 'The Unforgettable Fire.'
'The Three Sunrises' is a song that should have easily made the cut for the record. It's got a great bass line from Adam, and Bono's vocals are spot on, as are Edge's rocking guitars. Larry's drumming gets pretty heavy at times.
'Love Comes Tumbling' is a song that reminds me of one of their early efforts. It would be great to hear on 'Unforgettable Fire' as well, but it fits great here too. (Note to U2 collectors: On 'The Best of 1980-1990,' there is a bonus disc containing B-sides and outtakes from albums. Both 'The Three Sunrises' and 'Love Comes Tumbling' appear on that. But 'Love Comes Tumbling' comes with a guitar intro from Edge that doesn't appear here. If you can, try to hunt down that version as well.)
Overall, if you've never checked out this record, than you need to. It rocks, and it's one of my all-time favorites from U2.
Highly recommended for any U2 fan. A classic EP.
ENJOY!!!
- This is the best version of "Bad" that you will find, short of the Live Aid performance. Canned audience or not, it's fantastic.
- The live version of "Bad" is my pick for the best thing U2 has ever released. It's an utter revelation, far surpassing the studio version in immediacy and power. The other live track is a worthy version also, much different than the atmospherically-rendered studio version of "A Sort of Homecoming", though not necessarily better.
The two studio tracks are worthwhile for U2 fans, and are better than some of the songs that actually made it to The Unforgettable Fire album. "Three Sunrises" mixes 60-ish psychdelic pop with some more aggressive signature-U2 touches, while the final track "Love Comes Tumbling" is a little too mumbly-morose for my taste, but is a nicely crafted song nonetheless.
- Thsi is just a mini CD, but it contains the best Live version of "Bad" and "A sort of Homecoming" that you can find. The drum on "A sort of homecoming" is simply amazing. An incredible energy emerge from this song. "Bad" is also incredible. The two studio tracks are quite good also.

5 comments about Kicking Television: Live in Chicago.
- I am an extreme latecomer to Wilco's music; up until a couple of years ago I'd never heard of them. I became interested in so-called "numbers stations", radio stations that broadcast nothing but mysterious voices reciting strings of numbers, and somebody at work told me that a band called Wilco had used numbers stations on one of their recordings, which is how I came to listen to Wilco's 'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot'. It quickly became one of my favourite CDs, and it wasn't long before I discovered this sprawling gem of an album.
'Kicking Television' has nearly everything I want from a live album; the songs are in many cases fresher, livelier and more eventful than the original versions, the playing is great, and the mood is palpably upbeat. I could wish that Jeff Tweedy had a more memorable line in stage banter, but he doesn't really seem to be that kind of guy. My favourite bit of the album is the sequence from the bubblingly cheerful rendition of 'Heavy Metal Drummer' via the edgy and nervous 'Poor Places' into a positively epic 'Spiders (Kidsmoke)' - most of the latter song is the same chord over and over and over again, and when the band finally surge into the descending instrumental refrain, the release of tension is exhilarating. This album is also, incidentally, one of the best-recorded examples of what Nels Cline can do with a guitar; although Tweedy is a pretty formidable player himself.
- I really can't remember why I picked up this CD. Maybe I read all the great reviews here. Maybe I'm just always searching out GOOD music that I haven't heard before. I do know that in my quest for great CD's (some of which are obscure, some of which are well known), occasionally I pick one up one in which I think to myself, "huh, what was I thinking?". Don't get me wrong, I tried to like this CD. I've listened to it several times, and while its OK in places it just doesn't do anything for me. The sound of the vocals tend to be annoying to me. Hmmm, well, to each his own. I guess those that find this CD "amazing", and it seems there are many, are listening to something different than I am.
- I have little to add to the points made by other reviewers here but to emphasize that Wilco is at their best live, and this record is at the top of my list of great live albums. Every track on this double CD is a fresh, and to my mind superior, version of the original studio recordings. "Kicking Television" spent six months in steady rotation on my vehicle's audio system and I still find it great road food. Highly recommended for adventurous rock fans who appreciate an innovative band that isn't afraid to experiment or draw on diverse influences and make them their own.
- I put off buying this cd for a long time. I saw Wilco play at the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati,June07. It was one of the best shows I've seen. I couln't resist buying the cd after the live show experience. It is a great cd. I have listened to this 2 disc live recording many times. No regrets about this purchase.
- Disc #1 ******
Disc #2 **
There is always pressure on great "live" bands to release that one live album. Loyal fans of course will scream 'till they are blue in the face that they will never be able to capture that feel from actually being there and seeing it live. I think that is generally because the people that have actually seen the band live like to separate themselves from the masses, you know, feel special and all. Well, after listening to the first disc of this album you are ready to tell those prima donnas, hey, they are doing it! The first disc is magic. There are three songs on it that I might not have chosen, but overall, tremendous, shines bright. However, the second disc sees the band go into a lot slower numbers that could cause one to scratch their head. It's not that they are bad songs, just that they are not anywhere close to being rockers, which is kind of what I am looking for at a concert. The Sparkler starts to burn out a bit. Although, "Poor Places" and "Airline to Heaven" really do shine bright. Of course, how a song like "I'm Always in Love" does not make it on this release is a mystery to me, arguably Wilco's biggest crowd pleaser. Overall, the release is solid, showing excellent musicianship, but disc 1 proves quite superior to disc 2. So, if you were to rip a disc for your car stereo, you might want to lean on that more.

- This is really an amazing album.
It was recommended to me. I didn't know Todd Snider before listening to it. It blew me away. It reminded me of the folk songs I used to listen to when I was a kid, but updated for the modern times.
The funny songs are funny. The serious songs are touching. (They make me wonder what sort of life Todd Snider has lived.) Yes, one or two duds (D.B. Cooper, Easy Money), but with so many great songs, it still deserves 5 stars, especially because...
The patter between songs is what really turns this into a great live album. This is the kind of thing you will not get on studio albums, or even on most live albums. Todd Snider is a real entertainer, and his introductions to the songs are the highlights of the album.
- Todd writes incredible songs, and tells great stories in between. It's a fantastic singer/songwriter album. My favorite, in fact.
- If you like Harry Chapin, Willy Nelson, Or Kristofferson, you are going to love this CD.
- It wasn't until I decided to download free music by Todd Snider that I realized I needed to buy every album he has ever made. Little by little I discover a near missed opportunity - now found. Near Truths is the place to start a TS collection. When I first heard this I wondered where the heck have I been all these years? How did these few artists get overlooked during that time? I guess the ninties was my version of the sixties. This guy exemplifies what yesterday is today. The real "new breed" of America. Not many ever "get it" but this one does.
A real treat and
I predict soon to be huge

5 comments about Familiar to Millions.
- This may not be Knebworth in August 1996 (if only they would release that on cd!), but it is a good live recording of Oasis.
- It was July 2000, Oasis played Wembley Stadium in London for two nights in a row. The heat was on, the expectations were high, and the thousands of fans that crammed the famous soccor field were "mad for it!" Everything was going good; Oasis were and still are the biggest band in England with a timeless influence on most of the bands coming out of America and Europe today, and they were to take the stage by storm, but there was one too many problems: Liam had just broken up with his then wife actress Patsi Kensit, was seriously drunk, and Noel wasn't talking to him. The effects of all of the above are evident on this recording.
Liam greets the fans as soon as he steps onstage after the intro of F**kin' In The Bushes fades out with a hammering comment at Wembley Stadium, calling it a 'sh*thole', before sarcastically and hilariously saying "Hello, Manchester!" which is welcomed with a few boos from the crowd and a giggle from Noel. After that, the music plays on with a collection of their most recent singles from their 2000 album Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants: the handraiser Go Let It Out and the soothing Who Feels Love, before venturing into a string of greatest hits, in no order: Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger, Live Forever, Stand By Me, Roll With It, Champagne Supernova, and Supersonic. In between songs, Liam and Noel are heard commenting with and at the crowd ("This is for all the people in the front row..." as Liam presents a song), the lighting operator ("...turn the f**kin' light off!" as Noel scorns the poor fellow), and each other ("Let's have a couple more of these songs, Noel...write a couple more of these babies!" as Liam presents Supersonic). The highlights on Familiar To Millions are the cover versions of The Beatles' Helter Skelter (taken from the US tour), and Neil Young's Hey Hey My My (which Noel sings with a passion), and the B-side Step Out (which is an underrated Noel sung number).
Familiar To Millions may not be the best live album ever released; in my opinion, it is not (Liam's tired voice is enough to convince me). But the Gallagher brothers manage to make it unintentionally entertaining and funny at times.

B-
- Ive always been a big fan of oasis but they really let themselves down here. This was an opportunity to perform a memorable, energetic and musical show, well it was certainly memorable.
The whole thing with getting the crowd singing along and adding in guitar solos that just seem to go on froever isnt what oasis are capable of, and to put it on an album...
I also cannot believe the songs they put on there, or didnt put on. There are tracks such as "Gas Panic!" and "Who feels love?" whos ever heard of this crap more like. "Supersonic" "Stand by me" and "Live Forever" are probably the only songs worthy of being on there, seeing as Champagne Supernova and Cigarettes and Alcohol are delivered so poorly.
This album is missing many of the bands greatest and underrated songs, such as, "Morning Glory" and "Rock and Roll star", instead they insist on playing them boring, repetitive songs that everyone associates with oasis because they're too thick to notice the decent tracks, how many times have we heard "Dont look back in anger" and "Wonderwall" (which incidentally arent done by oasis on this album, but half of the drunken crowd) far too many times, so you dont have to put them on an album.
Dont waste your money.
- Instrumentally, Oasis is still a tight band, and Noel's vioce still sounds good, (his cover version of Neil Young's "Hey Hey My My" is a highlight) but damn Liam really sounds like he just woke up after a rough night. They rush their way through "Wonderwall" like they're bored with it, and their version of Champagne Supernova also sounds weak voiced. Now some times the ragged effect does work, versions of "Stand by Me", "Live Forever" and "Cigarettes and Alcohol" are still pretty rousing.
Liam is still up to his onstage shenanigans, asking the girls in the audience to show some breasts, leading the crowd in chanting his name, pointing out to Noel that he finally got all the words to "Roll With It" right in mid-song, giving the people in the front row a hard time, complaining about the lighting and stage props, and even giving Noel yet another hard time, "you should write more songs like this Noel." Implying that he hasn't been writing songs like that lately. But he makes a conciliatory gesture, to Noel at least later when he praises the lyrics for "Gas Panic".
They're still a very fun band live and a tight band musicianship-wise at least anyway. Now if they could just get Liam to behave himself... ah screw that, then they wouldn't be so much fun. Just stick to the alcohol, Liam, and leave the cigarettes alone.
- Most of Oasis' greatest songs are on here, and they sound just the way you'd expect live: amazing. Don't Look Back in Anger is, if possible, even better than the studio version; the band goes insane on Supersonic and Shakermaker; only Champagne Supernova seems to lose some of its eerie grace with the more rough-around-the-edges live sound. Of course, Liam acts out a bit: it's hard to catch what he's saying most of the time, but it's quite amusing when you do.
"This is for all the people in the front row...no not you...nor you guys...alright, maybe you. And you."
Even songs that were less than classic in the studio, like Roll With It, get a boost from the live energy - on that particular number, Liam now advises us not to let "any f*****" get in our way.
And while the band is great, the audience is impressive in their own right:
-There's a moment during the first verse of Wonderwall when they suddenly sounds like the world's biggest gospel choir.
-Such is Liam's faith in them that he even lets them take the whole chorus of Don't Look Back in Anger - and even though it comes through a bit muted, it's pretty incredible.
Finally, Liam's weary take on Stand By Me, supported by the always-enthusiastic audience, has to rank among the most affecting pieces of music ever recorded. It's just so - _romantic_.

- I like how even though live they did a great job with the music. d.pitcher
- I knew the name of this band from their hit, "Meet Virginia", but was not a die hard F-A-N. THEN, I found this CD. This LIVE CD really puts into perspective how badly songs are ruined when they edit them for radio. I don't mean edit as in bleep out words, I mean edit as in loose the unique and amazing sound that the artists have.
After listening to this CD a million times and instantly falling in LOVE! My husband and I saw them in concert. They are amazing. The lead singer has a charisma and stage presence that is so rare and so mesmerizing. This is a must have for any music lover.
I am now a F-A-N!
- I got the CD for just one song, Calling all Angels and then listened to all of it...I was really pleasantly surprised, they are really quite excellant....
LOL!!And I'm an old Rock and Roller that doesn't usually like the new stuff...
- totally in love with train. this cd ROCKS!!!! gotta love the live stuff.
- I saw Train at a concert in Atlanta last summer. I had never heard them before and I really loved them. Alive at Last was a gift and I like it a lot. It has my favorite songs on it, and I enjoy the live aspect.

- I already own BIG BAD VOODOO DADDY CD's. I bought this one because of the DVD of their live show included. I have seen them in concert 4 times now. The DVD is their standard show...lively and very entertaining. They are excellent musicians. Great swing music if you like it, and I do.
- If you've ever seen BBVD live, then this CD/DVD is the next best thing to recapturing that experience. If you've never seen them before, then you must find out just how much you have been missing. Guaranteed, it will turn you into a hard-core swing junkie, jumpin' and jivin' with the rest of us!

- I first saw Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in the movie, The Swingers, some years ago, and was curious to hear more as Swing dancing is as big as ever these days. Big Daddy pretty much sticks to the grooves, a kind of "dancabilly" that is even more infectious in this live album than on previous studio albums. For swing dancers, this is a modern take on the classic rhythms of the 40s with some pretty jazzy improvisations. Big Daddy can play and they have a lot of fun with the music, showing a tremendous amount of versatility as well as humor on these recordings. The added DVD doubles the pleasure.
- Wonderful music! Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is a class act, whose energy and love of music is apparent not only in the sound, but in the enclosed video of one of their concerts. Their sound is catchy and original, while also being reminiscent of a bygone era.
- I love this album!!!!! Listening to this album makes you feel like you are right there at the show. The musical arrangements are great, that big band swing sound is present and the sense of humor of the bandmates is evident. You don't see any better than this is music today.
