- When I was in High School, somebody made me a tape of this album, which I loved and which got eaten up by my tape player, and later my Mom discovered I had developed an obsession with Punk Rock music and said I shouldn't buy anymore. Now, all these years later, she has gotten into the Ramones and other punk herself! I bought her this CD for Mother's Day last year and downloaded it to my iPod. Boy, does it bring back memories! I am sorry that the Ramones were not together during the time that I knew their music, because I would have LOVED to have attended one of their concerts. Gabba Gabba Hey!
- first, the track list is definately amazing. johnny, joey, marky and cj all sound great, even though the speed takes some charm away from the rocket to russia tracks, i can live with it. lets see, this show definately made me feel for joey. on some songs, he seemingly gets lost and rather "blahs" out the lyrics or has to have cj back him, but joey was suffering a great deal at this point i believe. i cannot hear the crowd that well as a live show may be. who knows, the crowd may have been drowned out or something. nothing too big. anyways, buy this! it has excellent energy!
anyways, i dont think it was bad considering they had been touring since they started and joey was freakin dying! the ramones dont get enough slack for anything.
my only large gripe: why..oh why..did they make "any way you want it featuring eddie vedder" the last song of the show? why have eddie vedder sing the majority of their LAST song of their LAST show? they could have done something better to close their final show. i dont want to grow up would've been nicer as the last song.
- This is a CD and a video tape documenting the Ramones last concert. The CD presents the concert in it's entirety, while the video shows clips from the concert, but is really a documentary about the Ramones entire career. The Ramones already released several concert albums, so why release another one? Well, this is their last concert, so that gives it added significance. Plus, there are several guest performers at this concert, although the CD oddly doesn't say which guests are on which songs. It is a typical solid show from the group. As for the video, it does a good job of documenting the group's career, with plenty of interviews and performance clips. Ramones fans will enjoy this package.
- Maybe you can tell by the song selection or the title, but this is the exact same cd you got in the "We're Outta Here" collection, just without the video. All the artwork is the same as well, so if you have "We're Outta Here", you really should save your money unless you really have to collect everything. If you don't have their last show on cd, this would have to be it, since "We're Outta Here" seems to be out of stock (at least as i'm writing this).
Not really being a fan of the later, faster live Ramones, I still gave it 4 stars cause the songs are great, & I like the cool guest stars.
- The video and cd are a must have for any Ramones fan. If your a fan of rock and roll this is a must have. I am a recent Ramones fan and these guys really know how to rock. Reminds me of being at school dance back a few years ago(30+years ago) loud fast and very raw. But that is what makes them more appealing!! They will live forever in their music. The video show you just how real they where not [faux] like many rock and roll stars are.

- I can't agree with the affirmative tone of the previous review - to my ears this is a pretty grim document of Mark E Smith's difficult years. Whatever was troubling him (see Simon Ford's book for details of his bizarre behavior) it inevitably fed into his live performances, and this disc - edited together from two very different source tapes (two different gigs, perhaps?) - contains too many numbers where Mark either can't remember enough of the words, or just can't be bothered, he doesn't want to be on stage anyway. The much-maligned vocals of Mike Bennett are actually the only thing to invigorate `Chiselers' (or whatever you call it), `Pearl City' and 'LA'. Brix of course does the same for `Darling' and `Feeling Numb' (but it's still a mess, not as good as the In The City version).
It has its good moments - like `Reckoning' and `Hey Student' - but this disc is only worth picking up as part of the `Time Enough At Last' package, and you need to be a total Fall fanatic to appreciate that!
- There is no category for The Fall. They are their own category. I don't think anybody really cares whether some record company dumped them or whether it's yet another live album. It's The Fall. This live album definitely is a must for any fan. It contains some classics and some more recent songs. The performance is amazingly tough and powerful and Mark E. Smith's rants come across very well. I don't like Brix' singing (I never liked it) and that other guy who's shouting some stuff is also annoying but it's The Fall, man! I always liked their live stuff somewhat better than their studio stuff and this CD is one of the best! The live version of "Das Vulture..." alone is worth the money.

- Never been a huge fan of Fat Wreck Chords, but this album is a must have for anybody into punk music. Surprisingly the recording is excently, an anomaly for this genre of music. It doesn't sound like The Subhumans are playing under water! Which is the standard for most live albums. Really, this almost sounds like it could have been recorded in a studio if it weren't for the audience making noise in the back ground.
If you're a fan of The Subhumans and you weren't too impressed with the Worlds Apart album then give this record a try, because the songs from Worlds Apart are sung with much more energy and are delivered much better, but don't be mislead, the songs span their entire carrer. I'll be honest, when I heard the audience sing along the lyrics to Subvert City, I cried. Really amazing. The Subhumans really performed well at this show. The songs have a different feeling than their studio recordings.
Pick up this album.
- This is a recent live set from the band in the USA.They blaze through a marathonic 26 song-set of their best songs from their entire discography -fortunately including a lot from their first eps,coz those are the ones I'm familiar with- in a relentless, fast and raw way, wisely leaving the slow and or ska-styled ones for the studio nevertheless giving the songs a more rock n roll oriented structure than before. This release is more worthy than their entire discography !!! The sound is OK but the takes on the kick drums and bass guitar -while excellent- drown out the rest of the drums, especially the snares, giving the songs a lot of punch but draining it of realism. The lads include a new, unreleased song in the set and the cheery on the pie is an interactive track including both a live video excerpt from one of the songs and an interview with the band.
Conclusion : You're way better off with the dvd which is from another gig, has better sound, and only half of the setlist in common making owning both discs a good decision.
- [Sub][Hum][Ans] were probably the only member of the UK anarcho-crusty community that was never on Crass Records. Fat Mike of NOFX, however, has got to release a lot of his idols on his own Fat Wreck Chords label, such as the [Sub][Hum][Ans] (they were name-dropped in NOFX song "We Got 2 Jealous Agains" along w/ every other great 80s punk act) and the Descendents. But, unlike so many other old British punkers, the [Sub][Hum][Ans] still seem remarkably fresh and relevant, even if they are only playing old songs, for a band that's celebrating, what, it's 23rd birthday? Dick does throw in a new one, "This Year's War" which was written about the War in Afghanistan, but could be applied to Iraq or any other pointless war. I offer my sincerest thanks to [Sub][Hum][Ans], as well. A couple years ago, when I was getting into punk, I never would have guessed that it would inspire me to question the US, or become a pacifist (-gasp-, that's hippie s**t!). But through a trail of bands (Bouncing Souls to Ramones to Buzzcocks to Sex Pistols to Anti-Flag to Bad Religion to Dead Kennedys to Crass to the Exploited to Conflict to [Sub][Hum][Ans] to Reagan Youth to Zounds to the Mob to Neon Christ to Boskops to... you get the idea) I was soon refusing to pledge allegiance and arguing with my friends (peace is logical and humane, not hippie s**t!)
Anyway, as a side note, some songs I wish had been on here: "'Til the Pigs Come 'Round," "Big City," "Human Error," "Zyklon-B-Movie," "No More Gigs," "Rats," and "New Age" (which did show up as the bonus video).

- Snap this up as soon as you see it - not only is it a great concert CD, but comes with a DVD of the concert as well. Good song selection covering their career through "Superstuds," with Warren's requisite vamp encore of "I have a date." Not as funny as "Teenage Idol" off of "Sweatin'," though. The audio has been cleaned up, but not overly. There's also commentary from the band. The ultra-super-cool thing about the DVD is that it uses the "Angle" option to display the entire concert from a camera focused on drummer Josh Freese. This should be a requirement for concert DVDs, at least those with good drummers. Well worth the money.

- As a latecomer to Pearl Jam (hence the explaination for the late review date!), I have waded into their mass of Official Bootlegs with gusto. After obtaining many selections from both the American and European Legs of the 2000 Tour, I have to say that for sheer excitement, musicanship and song selection, this release is the best, just edging out Pittsburgh, PA, of the American shows. Perhaps it is the location; with Pearl Jam, any excuse to soap box seems to make them want to crank things up that much more. Just check your politics at the door, and enjoy the music.
- Greatest version ever of RVM, no questions. RITFW is probably the most aggressive out of all the shows.
- Disclaimer: Owner of all 72 official PJ bootlegs. Of course when Pearl Jam roll into Washington, DC you can expect a very political guy like Eddie Vedder to be extra talkative. In this show he sure doesn't disappoint in that department, adding some unexpected depth to his positions for the Green Party and against the established power structure. So if you like to hear Eddie's opinions, here's a good show for you (he's even a little less mush-mouthed than usual too). Those of you who want a good rocking PJ show, this disc is for you too. After starting off with the dark and mysterious "Sometimes," which is a surprisingly effective opener, the band delivers a very strong performance for the Capitol crowd. In fact, they were on a real roll this particular week, delivering two especially powerful shows in Philadelphia before this, then wrapping up the tour the next evening with a killer in Pittsburgh. Highlights of this show include surprise appearances by "Dissident," "Leaving Here," and a highly spooky "Indifference," plus one of the best versions of "Daughter" in the entire bootleg series. This time, the long jam session at the end of the song incorporates the emotional "It's OK" by the cult band Dead Moon. "Habit," "Not For You," and "Crazy Mary" are especially strong this evening, and in true political fashion, the show ends with a bruising take on Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World."
- Amazing! I can't even begin to tell you how amazing this show was. By far the best setlist out of all the bootleg. If you LOVE Pearl Jam and love some of their lesser known songs, this one is for you, if you only really like their hits then it is still for you. It covers everything. Longer setlist because opening band Sonic Youth was unable to play that show. I have heard almost everything this band has ever done. This concert blows me away. RVM is probably the best version I have ever heard and along with RITFW which is almost as good as the version for the MTV music awards when they were with Neil Young. You gotta get this!!!!!
- I missed going to this show because of a lack of money, after buying this boot I've resolved never to let a little thing like not having money stop me again! This show is probably one of the hardest rocking boots I've heard, the first CD doesn't slow down until right after Do the Evolution when Eddie stops to talk to the crowd. Then, right after Nothing as it Seems, they launch into my personal favorate, Given to Fly, then slow down again for Untitled, but after that it's all fast again. The version of Daughter is excellent, with Eddie leading the crowd in a singalong of, I believe the song's called, It's Ok. Even Flow is probably one of the best versions I've ever heard, with Mike's guitar playing the best I've ever heard. The second disk starts off strong with Better Man and keeps on going. Leaving Here is probably one of my favorate songs of the show, and is a cover that Pearl Jam does very well. State of Love and Trust, as always, is a gem. This is the only live version of Porch I own, and it's come to a point where, when listening to Ten, I think how much I'd rather hear it live and put in this CD. One of my favorate songs of all time is very well represented on this CD, Rocking in the Free World. Mike's playing would make Neil Young proud in this song, and Eddie, as always, is the master of belting out lyrics very passionatly. All in all, I hate myself for missing this show, and will not miss the next. Buy this, you won't be sorry.

- This very rare import on Virgin/4AD (1994) exists in TWO versions, one with 18 tracks recorded live in Paris for Radio France (track listing provided in another review), and a second version (even rarer) that adds the Kitchen Tapes and has 21 tracks.
The disc comes in a custom opaque black plastic case with the artwork stenciled on the front and back covers, and as far as I know, never included paper inserts or liner notes inside (just the disc).
Personnel included: Frank, Lyle Workman, Eric Drew Feldman, Nick Vincent. Excellent sound quality, very listenable, and the band is tight. Frank sings in English but speaks to the audience in French!!! Essential for any fan of the big man, and a testimony to his unique genius.

- Forget it. I'm a big fan of FB & the Pixies, but this has got 'contractual obligation' written all over it. A pretty ordinary quality recording and the music is pretty lacklustre. I have every Pixies / FB album, including singles, and this is by far the worst. Only get if you have to complete your collection, and even then, don't expect much.
- The guy's a genius. I know some of the critics think it's a poor effort, but how can you criticize the soul that this live recording puts into the songs? And the final track, an acoustic version of "Abstract Plain", just tops off a great set.
