5 comments about Handel's Messiah: A Soulful Celebration.
- I don't listen to all the tracks on this recording, but I've all but worn out 8, 12 and the final track, the Halleluia Chorus. Stevie with Take 6 is masterful, as well as Al Jarreau on the all-star big band session. The one disapointment that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the recording quality. I wanted to use Why Do the Nations... with Jarreau to audition a pair of high-end stereo speakers in the store, and the band sounded like they were recorded in a shoe-box. Unfortunate for such great musicianship and arranging.
- I heard this CD at a friend's house once, years ago, and spent five years searching for it since. It showed up in Amazon this year, and I now, finally!, own it for myself.
I LOVE this CD! It pays homage to the original, but brings a lively, joyful, unique sound to the musical ideas Handel started with. It modernizes it without degrading it in any way. I still love the original (Tafelmusik's is my favourite rendition, as true to the original ideas as possible), but I love this adaptation equally as much. Some top-name musicians perform here, too, and I love hearing them add their creative ideas to this project.
5 stars, for sure!
- I had heard the Hallelujah Chorus before (it was played in my spinning class at Christmas time) so I knew how great a song it is. I was hoping that the rest of the album was close to that level of inspiration and excitement - but I was disappointed. I liked the first cut (a short history of Black music in America) and a couple other cuts, but the Hallelujah Chorus is definitely the best. Most of the others are just so - so, in my opinion. Still the album is worth getting, just for the Hallelujah Chorus!
- I have always loved the dance rhythms, especially in the Overature. It is a really wonderful collage of all the kinds of African American music through history. I do recommend this product for a different feel of Handel's Messiah.
- I've lost count how many times I've purchased this CD. In my dream of the world, everybody owns a copy. I cannot imagine ever getting tired of this CD, ever getting the feeling "Enough, already." It is possibly the best "various artists" CD I will ever own.

- The music is very inspirational, and the singles on track 11, 12, and 13 for "Yes" are so emotional that they touch your heart with hope.
- This CD is amazing. I have the video as well and it sets the atmosphere everytime I press play.
- This is a great Gospel CD. all should listen to it and enjoy! I listen as I am driving to work, and it helps me to prepare for the day.
- To GOD be the glory! I LOVE this CD! I get chills and can feel the Holy Spirit come over me as I listen to this CD. This album is by far the best. I LOVE the song "Yes". Her voice is so powerful. It will bring you to tears. You will not be disappointed buying this CD!!!
- Wonderful live worship. I like Shekinah Glory Ministeries music cos its always full of God's presence. The music is not too slow and not too noisy, I think it fits for majority of people.

5 comments about Remedy.
- Each album by DCB is just a little different. This one really mixed it up from what I was expecting. It to me not as user friendly as their earlier stuff, but we all grow in different directions.
- Funny, but maybe it takes time for each DC*B release to become my favorite as I didn't love "A Collision" compared to "Illuminate" and I don't love "Remedy" compared to "A Collision", yet. Certainly some songs standout on "Remedy" like "Never Let Go", "Surely We Can Change", "Can You Feel It", "The Glory Of It All" and "Everything Glorious". Another gem by DC*B. I'm guessing in another few months this will be my favorite.
- First, I'd like to establish that I have listened to a broad range of music growing up as a classical violinist and pianist. I have listened to all types of "classical" music, world music, secular music through the ages, hip hop, independent artists. I know a lot about music and there is not a song on this album I don't love.
At first I was surprised that this album didn't create a greater applause but understand why now. The vocal style is more 80's rock, not clear and pretty but emotional and good nonetheless. Next, the style in which this album was produced is similar to some energetic electronica sounds popular today that you'd find in secular bands such as Postal Service, Psapp, Bitter:Sweet. I love this about the album because SO much Christian music sounds the same. DCB, however, ventures outside of the stale standard rock band set that it seems these unadventurous Christian reviewers are missing. Last, this is an AMAZING worship album and I don't know how someone can say that it doesn't inspire praise.
By Track:
Glory of It All - Great for worship. Talks about God's enduring love for us all.
Can You Feel It? - Topic: Can you feel God's presence surrounding you?
Everything Glorious - beautiful love song to God.
---Neverending... -- A fun worship song which points to how God's divine nature and our reason for life centers in His never-ending existence.
Never Let Go - A passionate ballad about God's steadfastness
O, For a Thousand Tongues to Sing - Lyrics sound like a hymn but a contemporary mix
Rain Down - An impassioned cry to God set in a minor key
We Won't Be Quiet - Another fun worship song overflowing with God's joy
Remedy - A ballad about how God is the only Remedy for our troubled world
Surely We Can Change - A wonderful ballad and my favorite track on this album (though it's hard to choose). Everyone I think can relate to feeling helpless in the face of the world's depravity. This beautiful song sings as a prayer.
If you are completely adverse to electronic orchestration I can understand disliking this album. It definitely has a lot of energy and should appeal to plenty teenage Christ followers. I have definitely had many wonderful moments drawing near to God with the music and would hate for you to miss out on account of reviewers with obsolete taste in music.
- Remedy is no remedy for the poor styling, poor vocal quality, and lack of worship this band brings. The band sound brings a jittery delivery that does not engender worship.
In years to come we will look around and people will say, David Crowder - who? Some of the songs will endure, but only when redone in a truly worshipful style.
- 'Remedy' is a well done CD with several good praise songs.
There are few standout tracks, but none are bad either. The best song is 'Everything Glorious'. Perhaps my expectations were too high after his album 'A Collision', but this one just does not seem that impressive to me. It is really pretty average.
For anyone who is not familiar with this group, I would definitely recommend their album, A Collision. It is a 'must have' for any Christian music fan.

5 comments about The Watchman.
- I have listened to Paul's music since he was with Israel's Hope in the early 1980's.
His latest music seems to be even better than his early music such as Shalom Jerusalem.
This CD is a must have if you love Christian messianic praise and worship. But, moreover, it is relevant to today's praise and worship style.
- For those who love Paul Wilbur, this is a wonderful blend of new and old songs. For those who have never heard of Paul Wilbur and his Messianic style of worship music, this is a wonderful album for someone to be introduced to Paul Wilbur's music. The overall theme of this album is a great introduction to Messianic Hebrew Christian style of music. This album touches me down deeply. This album also brings a great sense of joy.
I love to sing along with it.
- Buying CD's unheard is always daunting, but this one did not disappoint. The blowing of the Shofar on the first track stirs the soul and sounds the warning. The CD is a wonderful mix of Messianic, "reggae", and christian worship music. It will be hard for Paul Wilbur to top this one.
- I love Messianic Worship. It is inspiring, and dynamic, and reminds us of how powerful songs are for delivering us from despair, depression, whatever the enemy has decided to hit us with. Just as David was able to soothe King Saul with his songs of the Lord playing his lyre, so too Paul Wilbur is able to get up stirred up and roused to worship the Lord, and praise Him for His mighty works! God loves to hear His children praise and worship Him. With each song we can fight the enemy, doing battle and bringing Glory to the Father.
I cannot get enough of the songs of Paul Wilbur. He made albums in the 90's with Integrity Music as well.
A great voice and a wonderful man living for God.
Awesome CD
- The CD arrived in excellent condition, and I was impressed with the
great packaging used to ship the product.

2 comments about Country Bluegrass Homecoming, Vol. 2.
- Volume 2 Home Coming has surpassed all expectations from Vol1.
Anyone who enjoys gospel bluegrass or blue grass/country will surely not be disappointed with the talent on this DVD. Excellent Nashville session players make this DVD a "Highly Recommend". Marty Stuart, Vince Gill, George Jones all performing at their best. Grascals, Doyle Lawson,Larry Sparks need no critique for their great bluegrass sounds. Just too many stars on this DVD, Jimmy Fortune, Booth Bros, CherylHomes, the list just goes on and on. I could hardly wait for Vol 3.
- What a huge disappointment. When I buy a Gaither Gospel Series video, I expect to see and hear plenty of the Homecoming Friends harmonizing with whatever guest personalities happen to be present. This one was way too short on homecoming friends! Watching/hearing George Jones work his way through old hymns isn't my idea of Country Bluegrass. Furthermore, this video was produced without Gloria Gaither, and she was SORELY MISSED! I was sadly disappointed in this video, and its predecessor, Volume 1.

5 comments about Greatest Hymns.
- I love Selah and their voices. I was disappointed in some of the arrangements of these hymms. They are wonderful hymms but for my tastes some of them were too jazzed up. I would have liked better to hear the beautiful voices of Salah singing the hymms in a more traditional way!!
thank you
- Powerful voices with such deep reverence; amazing renditions of ageless hymns that comfort the soul.
- Wonderful CD filled with great harmony. The Hymns have been very refreshing to listen to. Not over done but put together just right.
- For me, this was the perfect blend of traditional hymns with interesting musical spins put on them. I especially love the blues-tinged version of Amazing Grace and the African pieces.
I think there's something very likeable and strong about the group -- I just discovered them from a piece on a WOW Worship CD and really enjoy them. Their voices are really good, the piano is great, and I love the harmonies. Their music definitely touches me.
It sounds as though the original trio has partially disbanded. I hope they all get back together and make lots more CDs. I think they're terrific.
- I spent quite a bit of money before finding a Christian CD that I really liked. This one is exactly what I was looking for. Every song is as beautiful as the one before it, and they all give you a wonderful feeling inside.

5 comments about At San Quentin.
- Johnny Cash is undoubtedly as essential to American music as Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, and Hank Williams. His contributions are admired by both country aficionados and rockers alike. On none of his releases is the reason why as apparent as with his "Live At San Quentin" release.
Here, we're treated to rousing renditions of early Cash classics "Big River," "I Still Miss Somone," and "I Walk The Line" alongside revamped versions of "Folsom Prison Blues," "Ring Of Fire," and "Wreck Of The Old 97." Needless to say, the addition of Carl Perkins to the list of backing musicians has a great deal to do with the musical quality of this show! However, the musical highlights don't stop there:
At San Quentin, Cash introduces new numbers / soon to be hits such as "A Boy Named Sue" and "Jackson," as well as the biting "San Quentin" and "Starkville City Jail." On the double-disc boxed set, Cash also welcomes upcoming act The Statler Brothers and bluegrass favorites The Carter Family (now consisting of Mother Maybelle and her daughters). No longer limited to merely country or gospel numbers, modern era folk and rock covers include the eclectic and often-covered "Break My Mind," the Lovin' Spoonful's "Darlin' Companion," Tom Paxton's "The Last Thing On My Mind," and Carl Perkins' classic "Blue Suede Shoes" (performed by the master himself)!
Cash's passing would leave an empty space in American music, but the legacy of recordings he left behind and the artists he inspired (and continues to inspire) will deservedly live on as a true American treasure.
- Everyone knows Johnny Cash is a legend, and this album shows why that is the case. Not only does it showcase his talent, but it gives you a glimpse of the person as well. Vintage Cash and worth every penny!
- My husband loves this CD, but I have a hard time listening to the foul language and gospel music!
- Great music from a classic singer. Now part of my collection of Johnny Cash items. Price was very low when ordered with other Amazon items.
- My teenage son was so flipped out about getting this in the mail..We have listened to it everyday since..
In great condition and fast service.. I would definately purchase from this seller again

5 comments about Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs.
- I knew his name, but not his music. I followed the lead of some earlier reviewers, and oh what an excellent CD! It is my favorite worship CD--so beautiful and moving, with impressive production and musical talent. (I feel like I've been under a rock not to have known about Donnie McClurkin's music.) This pastor is so humble as he shares his gift. The product includes two full-length CDs. Both are well done with an assortment of worship music. One medley takes me back to distant childhood memories of a great grandmother's baptist church, which I love. Also included are inspiring international worship songs. One of my favorite praise songs is "Only You are Holy." It tells the truth and gives me goose bumps.
- I really enjoy the Donnie McClurkin cd. I was all I expected it to be. I also appreciate Amazon for getting the cd to me in a timely matter. Thanks Amazon. I will always do business with you.
- What a wonderful, spiritually uplifting cd! This cd was better than I anticipated. I would highly recommend this to anyone who feels like the world sometimes is overwhelming them with its cares and burdens. It's not God's will for us to be beat up by life. Take a moment to listen to this cd and get refreshed in His presence!
- Donnie McClurkin's voice is a blessed vehicle that immediately transports the listener to a place of total praise and worship. This album contains traditional as well as contemporary songs, yet through the timbre and power of McClurkin's voice and God's amazing anointing on him, McClurkin is able to transform those songs and deliver the most worshipful and powerful anthems.
I listen to this album over and over in my car and whether it's the repetitive chant "There's no God like Jehovah" in the song "Days of Elijah" or "Agnus Dei", "Great and Mighty" "Total Praise", "Ooh Child", or the oldies in the "Blood Medley", I soon have my passengers singing and worshipping along. Whenever I play this album, my friends always go out to purchase a copy. Is there a greater testimony? If I had to take only one album from my music collection, this would have to be it.
McClurkin is clearly musically gifted because his style and delivery with the accompaniment of his choir is soul-stirring. My hands go up in praise. His genius in singing to people of different cultures and languages gives him worldclass appeal. He reaches out to the global stage in a very respectful manner through language and style and leads his diverse audience into a time of worship.
This album was not recommended to me. Rather I happened to see it in the store and purchased it after having heard his "Live in London" album. I have not been dissapointed but instead I've been richly blessed and I thank God for Donnie McClurkin that he has used his talent of song and music. This album is a must buy!! Seriously.
- I love this cd albumn. I love it that Donnie McClurkin and the choir sings in so many different languages! I love the beat and the energy in each song. This is another spiritually uplifting cd, so joyful.....it's a joy to praise God with these songs. The spirit is truly with Donnie and this choir. I give God all the praise for this albumn!
