- Someone gave me this CD to listen to yesterday, let's just say that I am very impressed with the caliber of his praise and worship.
It me put me in an atmosphere of worship. A must have to your collection; there is a little bit of everything for everyone.
My favorite song on this album is "Awesome" it speaks for itself.
- This project is GOOD!
William Murphy has the soothing sound, Everytime I hear "Praise Is What I Do" it just makes me worship the Lord,
My favorite Worship Songs are "Healing Worship" "Created To Worship & "Ignite My Fire"
I would like to hear more praise Songs, but my favorites are "Awesome" and "Good"
- I enjoyed this CD very much. It shows the versatility of Pastor Murphy and his ability to connect with different ages in the Body of Christ. I look forward to his next project.
- This is an awesome CD. William Murhpy definitely brings you into the presence of God. I attended his fathers church in Detroit several years ago and have followed William Murphy music every since. He lead an outstanding praise and worship team before he made this CD. If you love the music of God you will love this CD. I pray he becames the next Fred Hammond or Kirk Franklin so everyone can experience the blessing God has put on his life.
- This is a great CD. Its a must for all worshippers.

- I really enjoyed the Unplugged cd. Ricky Dillard and New G are an awesome choir. They really enjoy praising God and give it all they've got. It's awesome when a group can get together to uplift Jesus Christ and be a blessing to someone else.
- Mann! Ricky Dilllard and New G are awesome. If I could give ya twenty stars, I would. This c.d. is a great. I like his style of music. He's a mean director too (smile).
- Ricky Dillard has produced a CD that definintely defines the term "The Way Church Used to Be". Sometimes we get hooked up into sounds of comtemporary gospel, that we forget where the foundation of gosepel was first laid, through the songs that has been created on the this CD. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone who has a versatility attitude towards gospel music.
- .....hecomininahonda....(just a lil humma..no disrepect)...but his album was so powerful...and so churchy...it should have recieved a lot of awards in Traditional Gospel Categories in every award ceremony....Anyway....Im grateful for Ricky going back to the landmark on this one......like he said..."before there were praise and worship songs...there were testimony songs...sung at SUNDAY NIGHT service....we're all done with church on Sunday by 1:00pm ..lord have mercy...anyway.....I was introduced to this CD when I attended a workshop in ATL with Lerell Fredricks....He taught "I May Not Have This Chance" and " There is No Way"...I was in awe...I wasn't really a fan of Ricky's material...but this was good...."Take me back" is the hit.. "....I won't forget!!!" The choir is not a show choir...but a very dramatic choir...they don't just stand there...FULl OF ENERGY....."Let us all Go Back" was a great selection by Timothy Wright ....(way back when)....very..very churchy...and attempts to bring back to rememberance the way we use to be...."Oh How Precious" has just got that church rock.....the two step...as we call it in the south.....the athemnized hymn.... "Oh Sweet Wonder"....is so powerful....and the lead is so so strong...."bless his name!!!!".....the medley of church songs were great...I just don't care for D. Patterson's voice.....One More Chance....just continues to let us see the vocal skills...the choir delievers....."Without God" is just pure power and tight as the choir backs Elisha.....(if anyone can help a brother with some sheet music for this song...I would be grateful).....the solo is beautiful and the background is so tight....that Nikki Ross' vocals are so nasty and wicked.....that girl could blow tornados with them cords.....her modulations on "I Give it to You" are just weird...I love her voice....the last two churchy selections just take you there.......strong and powerful and declarative..... this is what I call sanctuary music...because you can't carry everything in to the holy place.......
- THE ALBUM IS EXCELLENT. THE VOCALS ARE GREAT!!! IF YOU'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED RICKY BEFORE YOU HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT!!!

5 comments about Lose This Life.
- This CD is like most of the solo efforts of the DC Talk members. It is good, but not anything outstanding. Michael Tait along with Kevin Max and Toby Mac had an amazing thing going with DC Talk. It was a rarely equalled group that was head and shoulders above virtually any other group out there past or present. In contrast, as solo artists, the three are pretty good.
Tait has some solid Christian lyrics. One of his songs, 'Lose This Life', is very good. The others range from ok to pretty good.
- I have had this album for 6 months +, and I'm still enjoying it, which is a tell-tell sign for me. This album rocks ("Lose This Life", "Numb", and "Wait", and "God Can You Hear Me", are some of my personnal faves). It also contains several soulful ballads that are very nice. If you haven't seen these guys live, you are missing out on half the fun. Chad Chapin is fabulous on the drums, and must be experienced live to completely appreciate his talents. Michael's voice is so diverse that he pulls off the ballads just as wonderfully as the rockin' songs. Get this cd, you won't regret it!
- Tait's sophmore effort gives you more of the solid, inspiring rock you'd expect from this extremely talented group. Michael is as genuine in person as he is on disc and this cd hits all the emotions in all the right places. Stand out songs are "Lose This Life", "Numb", "God Can You Hear Me", and "Holding Out For Grace". Chad Chapin's drumming is top notch! Can't wait for the next cd!
- Tait's latest release "Lose This Life" overall is good but it makes a couple spins for you to get used to it. There are some definite high points and low points to this disc.
Highlights:
Lose This Life - The title song and first song on the disc starts is up tempo as you'd expect after Tait's first release which set the stage that his sound was going to be upbeat. This is a good rock song that will keep your toe tappin'
Numb - Numb is an interesting song where the tempo changes up but is definitely a rock song.
Electric Avenue - If you grew up in the 80's one of the songs that you probably remember is Eddie Grant's Electric Avenue. Tait does a good job covering this song. I couldn't help singing along with the made lyrics making fun of K-Mart like I used to as a kid "We're gonna walk down to K-Mart to get some shoes, they only cost a dollar. We're gonna walk down to K-Mart to get some shoes, they only last an hour..."
Low Points:
There are two main low points to this disc.
1. The Christmas Song. The Christmas song is a good traditional Christmas song but I found it to be totally out of place. This cd was release in November so it's easy to guess that there was some discussion about a Christmas song spurring sales of this cd but if it's not with other Christmas songs it's my opinion that it's out of place. When I put this album on my .mp3 player I left off this track.
2. The other low point is the middle of the cd. The songs aren't bad but they aren't really all that great either.
Overall this is a good cd to be enjoyed. If you're a fan of dc Talk and/or Michael Tait you can feel confident that this is a solid purchase but don't expect to be in awe by the music.
- What a good C.D if you love a taste of rock.

5 comments about Iris To Iris.
- Building 429 hit the scene big with their debut single Glory Defined and their solid debut album The Space In Between Us. Their style had a bit of grunge mixed with solid worship lyrics, fitting since the band name is based on Ephesians 4:29, which is a great life verse. After much acclaim and a Dove Award for Best New Artist 2005, Building 429 came back with a somewhat more rocking Rise, with the hit song Fearless.
Iris To Iris is the third and final Building 429 album on Word Records and is actually my favorite overall. The band certainly toned down and the grunge influence seems gone. This album is easily the most worship focused as evidenced by the stand-out songs Power Of Your Name, Majesty, You Carried Me and a great re-write of Grace That Is Greater. My favorite overall song is Singing Over Me, based on Zephaniah 3:17. This is a solid rock worship album and if you like Jeremy Camp, Casting Crowns or MercyMe, you should enjoy Building 429.
- Excellent CD from start to finish. Fans of Casting Crowns will love this music. Greatest gift I've received this year.
- After listening on the radio to "You Carried Me" and "Singing Over Me", both great songs, I bought "Iris to Iris." This is my favorite CD of the year so far. I bought the CD several months ago, but I still enjoy listening to the songs. Besides the two songs I mentioned, other favorites are "Amazed", "Majesty", and "Grace That is Greater." Actually, I have enjoyed and been blessed by all of the songs. It was well worth the purchase!
- This is a great CD. My personal favorites are Constant and Waiting to Shine. Probably the two most likely to make it into Sunday morning worship services. I'd recommend this to anyone!
- I was very surprised to see this rated so low. I just started listening to it yesterday and I think it's their best CD so far!!

5 comments about Celebration of Gospel - Spirit in Song.
- I enjoyed Celebration of Gospel when it came on television. This DVD representation is not what showed on televison. There was so much cut out that I would have been better off recording off of television on a VHS tape even though I have a DVD recorder. They should have called this DVD Half of Celebration of Gospel because it sure was not the complete package.
- Love It Love It. This DVD has a lot of great gosple performances and artist. My favorite performances were Kirk Franklinn and of course Mr. Never Would Have Made It himself Marvin Sapp and Pastor Shirley Ceaser.
- I was very excited when I heard this DVD came out because I enjoyed the TV version so much. If you are looking for what you saw on TV, DO NOT PURCHASE this DVD. They cut so much out of it, it's a shame. Steve Harvey DOES NOT appear as the host -- you don't see anyone hosting, just SOME of the performers performing. I did see him in one of the church choir scenes with BeBe Winnans, but they covered his face so you couldn't see him. Maybe this has something to do with royalties and being paid, but I was very disappointed and will probably give the DVD away or let it collect dust on my shelf.
- When I saw Celebration of Gospel it was really good so i order it hoping too see all the performer's only to find some of the better performers cut, very sad day when I looked at this version.
- I've been a fan of the BET Celebration of Gospel production's from their inception. But the for sale version of this one left me feeling cheated. They cut some very desirable performances by Yolanda Adams (featuring the ever-smooth Doc Powell) and Israel Houghton (featuring T-Bone, who burned it up that night) from the original taping. They also cut Steve Harvey's hosting spots. What's up BET? A disclaimer would have been appreciated.

- the price was great the condition top notch the shipping a+ its always good i have always gotten great service its always a great service from start to finish i will not shop any place else this is how good there service and quality is
- This is a CD that always reminds me of my parents (that are now gone to be with the Lord).I really love this CD and had it before but couldn't find mine, so when I saw it on Amazon had to order it.
Thanks Amazon, this really is a family favorite.
- The material does contain an even balance of traditional elements with a shade of contempary. Yet, not so contempary in that it reveals an originality that does not offend the serious believer. Actually it is my thought that any gospel artist recording and creating should be mindful not to militate agains what the Scriptures teach. Perhaps this is an earnest attempt with this album.
- The annoited Mississippi Mass Choir has done it again. This album is on fire for the Lord. Every piece on this album's set is crisp, spirit-filled, and annoited by the heavenly father. This CD/tape picks right up where "Mississippi Mass Choir--Live in Mississippi" leaves off. Put it in your stereo in your car, and you won't take it out.

5 comments about Unseen Power.
- Continuing the great success of "Beyond Belief", "Unseen Power" is also a great album! It has great Christian rock power. It seems that the players and the singer are very happy and like what their doing - if you don't believe, listen "Dance" and "Who's on the Lord's Side"! Just like "Beyond Belief" - any of the songs in "Unseen Power" doen't leave you cold. Although there's two ballads "In the Likeness of You" and "Hand on My Heart", still every song really turns me on. They have a great message - and that is Jesus Christ! Really positive energy!
Stars: Who's on the Lord's Side, Dance, Ready, Willing And Able
- The song Hey World is awesome and the sounds of the wind are cool also!
- Petra was coming off the sensational "Beyond Belief", an album that had moved them back to the forefront of Christian rock; this album seemed to be a bit less ambitious but was still filled with quality songs. Petra's ability to weave new and unique songs about faith were in clear evidence here. My personal favorites are the mature "I Need To Hear From You" and the quirky, dance rock styled "Dance", a song with a message of faith that doesn't sound unlike The Killers. While its predecessor and "Praise 2" are better places to look for a first impression of Petra, you wouldn't go wrong by giving this album a thorough listen.
- I actually prefer this album over 'Beyond Belief'. It's more experimental, a little more personal in focus (look at songs like 'I need to hear from You', 'Dance' and 'Hey World' for instance). There are a few missteps however -- "Sight Unseen" and "Secret Weapon" sound far too similiar and their pace is a little slow. Also, 'In THe Likeness of You" used to bore me to tears, though now I appreciate the sentiment behind it.
There are other really good solid songs, however. Opener 'Destiny' is a fun rocker. Indeed, the two opening songs (on the cassette version) 'Dance' on side two and 'Destiny' on side one are the two best songs on the album. "Who's on the Lord's Side" is fun, albeit different for the band. "Hand on My heart" sounds like it could be a Motown lovesong (but it's really about God) and "Ready willing and able" is just a fun, driving song.
Indeed, the good songs on this album are good enough that they propel this album to a 5-star status. Too bad this album was a little too rushed, because otherwise the two missteps could have become two really good songs instead.
Oh well, this album still rocks and has my favourite song 'Dance' off it. This is the song that originally got me hooked on Petra's music.
- i agree there best ever ive checked it out at the library a zillion times. destiny, who is on the lords side, secret weapon, in the likeness of you ,everything on here is grrrrrrrreat!if your a petra fan look up amazon on your pc and GET IT a must have!amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 comments about Live from Atlanta.
- Well what can i say, Casting crowns first time i heard them was on the soundtrack to Facing the Giants, and then i was hooked. Great band even live they sing really will, great cd go out and buy it
- This release is an absolute absurdity. A "live" album is not something that should be released after only one previous album. The only plus would be the DVD that has the American Dream video, but that is only granted you like that song.
Don't purchase this CD. It is a marketing ploy, and nothing else.
- Although there isn't much new music here, I enjoyed the DVD portion. The DVD has concert footage of five songs which are also on the original Casting Crowns CD. It also has a music video of 'American Dream'. There is one bonus track: "Beautiful Savior".
I enjoyed this, but buyers should be aware that there isn't much new here.
- This DVD/CD is well worth its price. The special features and live versions of their songs are a great addition to your worship music collection. This is more than just a repeat of the debut CD. The DVD reveals the real purpose for the group called Casting Crowns. I won't give away the secret. You will have to find out.
- To celebrate the release of their major label debut, Casting Crowns did a concert in Atlanta. This two disc set preserves that concert for all their fans.
Disc 1 features the soundtrack. It presents 5 songs from their debut CD including "If We are the Body," "Voice of Truth," "Who Am I?" "American Dream," and "Here I Go Again." As a bonus, it includes a cover of the worship chorus "Beautiful Savior."
Disc 2 is a DVD of the concert with the same 5 songs. It also has some bonus features including the "American Dream" music video and interviews with members of the group.
I absolutely love this group. Their debut CD was one of my favorite CD's from last year and still gets played quite regularly almost a year later. So my complaint with this CD has nothing to do with the music. Normally a Live CD is released after several studio projects have been done. This gives is some value as it puts songs together that were not on the same disc before. In reality, there is very little new content here to justify the price, even with it being cheaper then a new CD normally is.
Fans will have to determine for themselves if this disc is worth buying. Those who love and watch concert videos will certainly want to get it. If you're new to the group, get their self-titled CD. It's got these songs and more. Trust me, it will be money well spent.

1 comments about Handel: The Great "Messiah" Choruses.
- If you like Handel's Messiah but get bored with the solo's then this is the CD for you. Handel's Messiah has been around for many years, with different versions. I like this CD because the collection of the most famous and beloved chorus' are found here without having to hear all the solo's which are usually included on the other CD's that I have found. The chorus' are the best known and those that I look forward to hearing at Christmas. The quality of the rrecording is excellent and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir does a great job at what they do best.
