  1. This is just a few notes bcz I received the link @ my email. My first CD purchased 3 years ago is scratched so badly. So I had to purchase a new copy. The songs still ministers to me just as much. J Moss is so great, unbelievable.
    God Bless
    Always Listening for J Moss

  2. In a day and time when some of the hip hop/R&B music lack taste - J Moss' CD gives you that flavor but from an inspirational and spiritual side. My family loves the beat and the message is clear and inspirationa.

  3. I am very pleased with my purchase, I like J. Moss' music.

I am a Christian and enjoy the fulfillment music bring, especially when it it done through the spirit and not just for mere pleasure, it fills the soul

  4. For all the hater that are writing low reviews, just ask them what type of gospel singer they like, only then will you undestand why they are giving low reviews. J-Moss is one of the best in business, he is different and unique. You have to be carefully, because most people like hearing the same style of old traditional gospel music.

  5. WOW! I brought this CD back in the early part of 2004. But it still has so much ministry and effectiveness in my spiritual life. I JUST CANT LET IT GO! I now need another one, I do have some scratch issues on some songs. I listen to the V2 just as much. I dont know how else to express how much this cd means to me. EVERY single song. Its Me Again, Dont Pray and Worry, PSALM 150, I Wana Be. Lord I thank you so much once again, because only you can understand the depths of what I mean. There are reasons for everything, and for the void that has been missing since my husband began going thru some things, J Moss music has help me manage the tough spells along with the Blessings of you God, get thru those tough times. It is only the goodness and greatness of God, that he blessed J Moss to have such Heavenly voice to penetrate the lives of so many people. The lyrics are just saturated into my soul. All is well. Thank again J Moss. You may have to release this CD again, it is going no where.

  1. Fred Hammond is my favorite gospel artist. As a matter of fact the very first Christian CD that I bought was Fred Hammon and RFC's "In the Spirit of David". "In the Spirit of David" helped me to define and solidify my relationship with God. It was a turning point in my life. One that I will never forget.

"The Pages of Life" was the second Christian album that I purchased and I absolutely fell in love with this one as well. This album beautifuly displays how to acknowledge God through praise and worship. The messages of God's goodness are translated brilliantly through a variety of vocals and musical arrangements. It's obvious that God is working through everyone and every sound on this album. God's message of all things are possible through Him, is not only spoken loud and clear, but it is soulfully felt as well. If you've forgotten just how good God is, this album will instantly remind you of His mercy and undying love for all of His children.

  2. If I never buy another gospel cd in my life, it won't matter because this one will keep me praising HIM forever.

The range of songs is full, the message is prolific and the delivery is awesome.

I have purchased this cd three times and once on cassette....wore them all out....just keep replacing.

Fred and RFC are truly annointed.

  3. I was introduced to praise and worship a while ago and wanted to put my hand on any such music I can. Fred provided me plenty to worship my Lord with. This is Praise and Worship at its best.
Dr. Israel King,Ph.D. Author of How To Keep A Man

  4. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS CD TO LISTEN TO "ALL THINGS ARE WORKING FOR ME" AND "YOUR LOVE", IT IS THE CD TO HAVE FOR YOUR COLLECTION.

  5. One the best things about this album is that Fred was selling it at $12.50 when double albums were going for at least eighteen dollars or maybe more (I bought it in a name brand record store on Independence Drive in Charlotte, and I don't remember the name) in those days. Fred not only blessed my soul with this great collection of songs, but he blessed my pockets, too. This album started great ('Let The Praise Begin' was an absolute smash I still hope I can sing somewhere in a church) and, although there are some dead spots and some sketchy production of songs that had the potential to be huge (sometimes the way Fred presents some songs seem to lack the oomph the song needs to truly be great, although the lyrics are normally superlative and, at the least, fitting), the studio album leaves you with the confidence that you have bought a quality album. My personal favorites are the last two on the first disc, 'You Called Me Friend' and 'Lord, You Are My Song.' I started to like both of these after a while, though, because nine of the first eleven songs on this disc tend to monopolize your attention. The best of these songs are the aforementioned 'Let The Praise Begin,' 'Your Steps Are Ordered,' 'All Thing Are Working,' 'Please Don't Pass Me By,' 'Jesus Is All,' 'I Will Bless His Holy Name,' and 'He's God.' I would always listen to 'Jesus Is All' and 'You Were Much Closer,' but they always seemed to be not my cup of tea. That being said, only 'No Way, No Way [You Won't Lose],' 'Your Love,' and 'I Wanna Be Yours' weren't immediately enjoyable.
The second disc, Live, can be summed up in one word: fuggedaboudit! The live portion of the CD is awesome because it not only takes you down memory lane, you really only have to remember until 1995! It is the greatest short attention span theater in the history of man. I'm writing this review in 2006, eight years after this album was released, and the live disc resonates in my spirit even now. GET THIS DISC SET. It is essential for christians. You do not want to miss out.

  1. Awesome, awesome, awesome! The anointing is evident in the worshipping on this project. I loved every song on the CD (especially Work It Out)and felt like I was in the midst of a worship service. Perfect title for a CD of this caliber. True worshippers of God are indeed "Destined to Worship."

5 comments about WOW Worship: Yellow.

  1. I recently purchased the WOW Worship, Yellow. The CD is a great worship CD, with lots of familiar songs. I would definitely recommend this CD to everyone. The reasons for only four stars are that there are a couple of arrangements that I didn't particularly care for and two of those seem to just keep on going. You might like those, though. Great CD.

  2. Bought this for one song - In Christ Alone - but they are all great! Would recommend this CD!

  3. I love these two cds and believe anyone of any age would enjoy them. They are terrific contemporary worship songs that point our minds to God. My favorite songs are "All in all" by nichole nordeman, "In Christ alone" by geoff moore and Adreinne Liesching, and "Your Love, O Lord" by Third day. There were a couple songs I didn't really care for like Out of Eden's version of "Every Move I Make", "Let Everything That Has Breath" performed by Matt Redman (I like the original version done by Cademan's Call on the City on a Hill cd much better.), and "The Happy Song" by by Delirious. They are not horrible songs though. All the songs sounded up to date, no 80's sounding stuff. If you are looking for great pop worship songs that aren't too loud but not too quiet and boring either, then this is the cd for you.

  4. I love every song on this CD. The songs are uplifting and familiar. This is one CD you can play over and over again.

  5. What makes these compilations so great is that the songs ARE NOT always performed by the original artist or songwriter. The reason this is so special is because you get to hear other artists take on a song that makes it almost it's own new song. An example of this would be ZOE Girl's version of "Jesus, Lover Of My Soul" from WOW Red. The song by itself is great, but then ZOE Girl's version adds tons of power and depth. Another great thing about the WOW series is that when the original artist does perform, they may do a modified version of the song that you cannot get anywhere else. An example of this is "Draw Me Close " from the Katinas on WOW Yellow or Chris Tomlin & Steven Curtis Chapman doing " We Fall Down" from WOW Red. I love hearing different artists sing the same praise songs because they bring a different flavor and vibe to the song. The WOW series are worth every penny and THE BEST praise & worship music around!

  1. I bought this product for a Christmas gift.My friend was thrilled over the CD because it had good ole'favorite songs. I would recommend this CD to anyone that enjoys Southern Gospel Music.

  2. This was one of the best buys I done lately. The artists and songs were the perfect match to songs (especially Amazing Grace by the Statlers)

  3. This was a gift for my father and he loved it. We listened to it all morning Christmas Day. The songs are beautifully chosen and wonderfully familiar. A good mix.

  4. How often have you heard someone say how much they hate country, except for Johnny Cash or "O Brother Where Art Thou?"

Here's a compilation that person should enjoy.

Featuring old tracks from Cash, Elvis, Hank Williams, Ricky Skaggs, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and more, this cd breathes of the authenticity of yesterday.

As a compilation, not every track is outstanding, however I enjoyed most of them, skipping only a few. The standout track is "Farther Along" by Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, and Dolly Parton.

  1. This is an awesome cd. The group is amazing and the songs are great. I would recommend this for children and adults.

  2. The CD is 3 out of 5. It has some good songs but overall it lacks the annointing. The songs of worship don't leave time to worship, it transitions to another upbeat song. The soloists struggle vocally on some of the songs as well. I LOVE "Everybody Clap Your Hands", it is the only reason I bought the CD. Overall, it is decent, but don't have high expectations to be transported to a place of worship.

  3. Everybody clap your hands is a wonderful and lively rendition that offers a lot of interaction to give God the praise!!....Haven't heard the whole C.D. yet, but I am sure the entire C.D. is blessed!

5 comments about A Collision.

  1. It's an eccentric mix of tracks, but it's certainly not a random one. With some pop artists, the listener can tell that the songs have little to no relationship to each other, and they're assembled in some marketable order. Not so with this album, or any of David Crowder's work. The album is a flowing whole, and is probably meant to be taken in as such. As is characteristic of some of the band's other albums, there are short tracks in between some of the featured songs; these shorts I think the band hopes will be taken as seriously as some of the larger songs, because they help the piece flow (the shorter tracks are actually addressed in 20 "A Conversation").
An example of the interconnectedness of the songs in their arrangement is the movement from tracks 12-14. The lyric of 12 "(B Quiet Interlude)" is "Be more quiet, now, and wait for a voice to say, 'Be more quiet.'" Then 13 "Do Not Move" acts as a kind of appoggiatura building on the mysterious lyric from the preceding song (and is also a well done track in itself). And then in 14 "Come Awake" the lyric is more or less repeated as an introduction to the chorus: "Be quiet and wait for a voice that will say / Come awake / From sleep, arise / You were dead / You've come alive / Wake up wake up / Open your eyes / Climb from your grave / Into the light / Bring us back to life." The effect here is noticeable to anyone who's listening to the lyrics, but not childishly obvious and cute. The album is filled with thoughtful lyrical moves, and also a kind of repeated musical theme in several of the songs, including the last one.
The album is arranged into parts, and there's a noticeable difference between the songs in them. As I said, they're connected, but there's certainly a "movement" in the groupings of songs. With this, my only big criticism of the album is the ending. The C Part, which contains great songs like "Our Happy Home" and "You Are My Joy," is really well done, but the last part leaves a lot to be desired. The disappointment doesn't bother me enough to take any stars off the rating, though.
If you're new to the David Crowder world, this may not be the best album to start with. I would recommend their Illuminate project for a first taste, unless you're sure that there are some songs on this album that you'll like. If you like Illuminate, be warned that there are only a handful of songs at the beginning of this that have a remotely similar pop sound, and the rest of the songs are generally unclassifiable rock/pop/bluegrass/electronic alternative. I happen to enjoy the change in sound from other albums. The eccentricity of it is just enough to keep me sure that I'm listening to the same ol' band.

  2. Sufjan Stevens is influential. This album follows in his suit, and even takes one of his songs. But hey, nothing wrong with taking a cue from the indie master. However, Crowder changes it to reflect just praise and worship, instead of just random thoughts about a state. The result is a hit or miss.

The song that majorly hits is "We Win!". After all, how can you not like a well-crafted victory song? The song is rockin', and the people are talkin'.

What makes this a concept album is that it's divided into themes. The first theme is the safe, radio friendly theme. If you've listened to radio for the past couple of years, you've heard this whole section. Which isn't bad, but it feels familiar.

But, the weirdest collection of tracks in years is in segment three. This is supposed to be the future worship category. Now, with the theme of future in a music album you know it's going to be different. "Do Not Move" is officially the weirdest song ever. You have to hear to to believe it. What's even weirder is it starts growing on you after a few listens.

Overall, an interesting album. David Crowder dares to be different, taking a cue from the guy that has mainstreamed this type of album. But, like all concept albums, it does have it's hit and misses. Which is expected. Just know what you're buying, before you buy.

  3. I just don't care for the flow of the music on this disk. The songs are just not too catchy. Found myself skipping many. Listen to all the samples before you buy. Probably better off just buying the couple of songs that you really like.

  4. This David Crowder Band delight is stunning with the varied and robust styles. It is an absolute masterpiece. Absolutely amazing.. I get something new out of it each time I listen. True Worship - honoring God not people.

  5. I purchased this CD in an attempt to broaden my musical taste. I like jazz and rock primarily. But when I listened to this CD I encountered God very intensely. Once I surrendered my preferences, I found this CD is incredibly anointed. I've listened to it more times than I want to admit, and I've already purchased another CD by the David Crowder Band. Sample some of the songs, and see if you meet God. It'll be worth it.

5 comments about Songs 4 Worship: Shout to the Lord.

  1. These people singing have so much love for the Lord, it is breath taking and beautiful.

  2. Some old and some new tunes for me.
A nice mid week spiritual pick me up.

  3. SONGS 4 WORSHIP: SHOUT TO THE LORD is an anthology of conventional and well-known songs in the 'Praise and Worship' Genre. The value of this double CD set is its collection of twenty-two old (at least by the conventions of modern worship music) standards in one place.

The set does not break new ground. Rather, it presents many favorite musicians doing their signature pieces: the Maranatha Singers, Paul and Rita Baloche, Darlen Zschech, Twila Paris, Delirious?, Amy Grant, Rick Mullins, Graham Kendrick, Keith Green, Pete Sanchez, Jr, Joseph Garlington, Charlie LeBlanc, Ed Gungor, Don Moen, Kent Henry, J. Daniel Smtih, Marty Nystrom, Ron Kenoly, and David Butterbaugh.

A good mile marker archive for your library.

  4. The best investment for my money. The best praise songs in one CD. We play and sing along to the songs before our prayer meetings.

  5. I am not a regular church goer any longer...and was not raised with this type of Christian music. However, after hearing commercials on TV, I found I really liked this music for a couple of reasons: (1) it's in celebration of our Lord (always a good thing); (2) it's joyful and refreshing; and (3) it allows "closet singers" (such as myself) to sing along (at the top of our lungs) and express our faith musically. Try putting on this CD while doing housework. It makes the task go by fast!!

  1. These cds are enjoyable musically and lyrically. The lyrics are not as poignant as some of his other works. However, each work does it's work in ministering. That is more important than being schohlarly.

  2. Excellent CD would highly recommend it. The selection is great and the songs are beautiful. The record label picked a wide selection of great songs from his massive music collection. His voice is so calming and the music is wonderful. A great CD for the person who is just starting a collection of Christian music.

    Jason or Peter.

  3. As always, John Talbot is outstanding. This was quite a value for all of the songs on the 2-set CD.

  4. John Michael Talbot's beautiful voice shines through each selection making the entire collection a peaceful & uplifting gift to the listener.

  5. I actually bought this cd by chance. I was surfing on Amazon when I accidentally clicked on this album. I decided to listen to a few of the clips and immediately I knew I had to pick up this gem. Praise the Lord for music like this! In these times of cheesy commercialized songs, Talbot's music stands out with strong Biblical lyrics and haunting peaceful melodys. I just recently had surgery and during my recovery this album has brought me much comfort. I definitely recommend these 35 songs for your collection. Thank you.

  1. Praise 103.9 FM in Philly plays this version of Love Remix in their rotation. After much research for the song I purchased this cd for this one song, "Love Remix", but there was only about 40 seconds of the song on the cd. I was totally disappointed, but didn't want to go through the hassel of returning. Does anyone know where I can find this version of the song?

  2. Great CD !!! I bought this CD for the song "Something About the Name of Jesus". It is a very uplifting song. I hadn't heard of this song until recently and was hoping the CD would still be available. A friend of mine ordered it online at another website and then received a notice that it was out of stock. This was about a month ago and she still hasn't received it. I got mine in a few days and am very pleased. Of course I told her she should have ordered from Amazon.com !! I downloaded it onto my IPOD and listen to it often. Like most CD's there are a couple of songs that I don't care for so I didn't put them on my IPOD.

  3. Kirk Franklin was definitely ahead of his time. He is an awesome writer and arranger. The message of Jesus still rings true in each presentation. This project is a classic.

  4. The CD, while being typical Kirk Franklin (great), was a little disappointing. The song called "Stomp" on the CD is not the "Stomp" from the radio that is so popular. The way its titled on the CD is confusing. That was the song I was looking for, and unfortunately the only song I knew on the CD. So now I have a CD that I didn't want and I have to buy the CD with the correct song. Money wasted - Bummer man!

  5. THIS ALBUM BY KIRK FRANKLIN IS THE BEST HE HAS EVER MADE. THIS ABLUM BLESSES ME EVERYTIME THAT I HEARD IT. ALL OF THE SONGS ARE AWESOME. IT WILL MAKE YOU SHOUT BECAUSE THEY ARE ON FIRE FOR THE LORD AND THAT IS A GOOD THING. KIRK FRANKLIN IS THE BEST IN THE WHOLE WORLD AND THIS ALBUM IS THE HIS BEST ONE. SMILE AGAIN IS THE BEST SONG ON THIS WHOLE ALBUM. IT WILL MINISTER TO YOUR SOUL AND TO YOUR HEART AND IT WILL BLESS YOU. IF YOU ARE GOING THROUGH SOMETHINGS THEN YOU NEED TO HEAR THIS SONG. KIRK NEEDS TO MAKE MORE SONGS LIKE THESE. ANYWAYS THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME. YOU ARE GETTING YOUR MONEYS WORTH.
