1. My 86 year old Mom is a huge fan of Daniel O'Donnell and she absolutely loves this CD. She listens almost every day and delights in the memories it evokes. I am so happy that I was able to find this for her. It arrived so quickly and I am sure will bring her many many hours of happiness.

1. Absolutely beautiful. I had lost another Rich Mullins CD and purchased this as a replacement. Simply, absolutely beautiful.



2. Rich Mullins was one of those rare birds, the type of Christian who's vision was incorruptible by the makings of man-made religion and the tasty, salted morsels of idealistic micowavable faith. He was resolute, not on the things many pious church mice of our day are, but on the idea that grace has never abandoned us, that it is a very real and passionate force in this world and that God has not quit on humanity or on us as individuals. To the contrary, Mullins' words echo out from the canyons of heaven: that the faith is larger than our modest grasp of it, and that the glory of Christ transcends past the church pews where comfortable ho-hum believers find themselves rationalizing their own bored view of the cross and heaven.
   
   Mullins hits us with the weeping testimony of a man in longing for his final home in heaven, of a free-liver who transcendentally takes in the glory of God through nature in the fields of Kansas, of a wavering Christian on the verge of free-falling from the cliffs of life as he pleads, "Hold me Jesus, because I'm shaking like a leaf. You have been my King of Glory, now be my Prince of Peace."
   
   Mullins was, in a way, our "through the looking glass" tell-it-like-it-is poet who enabled us to think outside the realm of what we've been so boringly taught by a myriad of smug Sunday school teachers and political believers with a self-created agenda to push. Mullins words on this album radiate a calming lesson: life is to live and the faith is more than something to merely talk about. It is something to weep over, test, relish in, and, if it comes to it, bleed yourself dry for.
   
   There will likely be others who help us to think more clearly on the reality of the greatness of the One, but there will never be one who was so poignant in the way he made us meditate on the immense, always-abounding beauty of a Creator who adores us more than any lover could hope to dream. Here, you will find a poet who spares us the cheap clichés and hits our eardrums with the radiant truth of the Everlasting.



3. The songs on this album are wonderful, uplifting praises! This was actually my second purchase because I wore the first one out! Teens enjoy singing several of these songs, too, especially Screen Door!



4. This is a great collection of praise music, Rich Mullins was very good at making music. I'm very happy with my purchase.



5. This CD collection certainly doesn't need my endorsement, there's 76 reviews already, all of which are a 5, and there will be 100's more if our Lord tarries much longer. It's just that Rich Mullins is my all time favorite and it just seems fitting that I throw my review in the pot.
   
   This collection of some of Rich Mullin's best is sure to become one of your favorites if it isn't already. The depth of the lyrics hits everyone at some point in their life, and will minister at a level that is surely God-inspired. The songs will grow on you the more you listen, and the more you listen, the more you will hear the truths of the complexities of simple life. He is the musical Norman Rockwell of the nineties...he captures meaning in what is often passed over as mundane and shows it to us with new eyes. I often wondered why God chose to take him home so soon, but after reading some of the reviews written, I understand how it added even more distinction to what he wrote. And if I really think about all he wrote about, he was really looking forward to meeting his Lord-(so maybe it was God's way of rewarding a job well-done).
   
   If a song doesn't 'catch' you at first, try listening (in the car alone seems to work the best) to it several times in a row. You'll be amazed how it will speak to your life. I still hear things in his lyrics, so you can listen to them over and over and never tire of them.
   
   If you listen to Christian Music at all, this is a classic that will outlive secular greats like Elvis and the Beatles. (Did I say that?) It's worth it's weight in gold.

1. This is a great CD. I highly recommend it. Selah took the great old hymns that we grew up on and beautifully modified them. This is a must have. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

   Great concert DVD! Terrific sound and video that puts the viewer in the front row. Even though the band had never played with Morse before, the energy and musicianship is first-rate.



2. Okay, religiously, I'm not sure what to call myself. I believe in God, but I don't really believe in any one religion. I guess agnostic would be the best way to classify myself.
   
   My Uncle had a Dream Theater CD that changed my life forever, and to this day, they are still my favorite band of all time. Dream Theater are friends with, and have toured, with many other bands, Spock's Beard being one of them. When I listened to them enough, I got to a point where I loved their music so much, I just had to buy all of it. I was distraught to find that Neal left the Beard, and it's quite clear to me that with the music that the Beard is making today, although still good, they are missing a very prominent piece of their music and that piece is a person named Neal Morse.
   I have many people scattered about within my family who are hardcore fanatical Christians, so when I found out that Neal was a born again, I was very iffy about even giving him a chance. I decided to put my biased views aside, and I am SOOOO EFFING HAPPY that I did because I would've missed out on all of the great music that this man has made if I decided to be ignorant, biased, and hard headed like I almost was. Aside from the fantastic musicianship and powerful heartfelt message, he is also insanely diverse, going from metal to epic to soulful to bluegrass to hard rock to jazz all in one man's mind.
   If there is anyone in this world that would make a Christian out of me, it would be Neal Morse. His studio albums are extremely fantastic, the question mark album is probably the one that resonates best with me. So much incredible music, not to mention the lyrics and vocals are incredible as well. But, what Neal has accomplished on this DVD is beyond words. He is one of the very few people who can record a live concert and make you feel like you're there. All of the heart, soul, and passion he puts into his music is completely unleashed when he plays. The band he plays with are also all very good musicians and I feel like I would get a good vibe from all of them if I met them.
   What I'm trying to say overall, is that it's not only about his music, it's about his attitude toward the music. There are so many points within this live show that I feel as though I'm on the verge of tears because I feel the message he's trying to get across. Whether I fully agree with him or not is irrelevant, because his message is a positive one, and that's all that matters. I am not going to be able to put this away and not watch it for at least a couple months. I know I'm gonna be popping this baby in at least 2-3 days a week for a couple months to come. Utterly fantastic DVD and it definitely gives DT's live DVD's (Score, Live at Budokan) a run for their money. I hope he keeps making music for a long time, because he has ever so easily and suddenly become one of my favorite composers of all time.

   This DVD is pretty much perfect. Almost 3 hours of music from Neal that is played nearly flawless with a band of great musicians will not dissapoint. Even though I'm a non-believer, listening to Neal sing these songs gave me chills and made me really feel the music. His love for his music is truly shown here.
   The second disc is loaded with a lot of great extras. The ? tour songs are also of great quality, and the acoustic version of Bridge Across Forever is awesome.
   
   You will not be dissapointed with the purchase of this DVD!

1. This is an excellent "shout all over the place" recording. It's an excellent worship and praise composition and I highly recommend it. However, there are portions that quite lenghty praise clips with only instrumental in the background.



2. Didn't care for the praise disc, but the worship....oh my goodness! This cd was truly a blessing to me! And it's my husband's favorite as well!



3. This album ranks in my top 10 worship music arsenal. When I want to go deeper in worship it is easy when listening to wreckless abandon worship-something that you do not hear much in many services. I love the worship and praise on this cd. It is awesome and I highly recommend it!

4. I used to be a member of Vally Kingdom Ministries International (The church that Shekinah Glory Ministry belongs to). They are clearly one of the best choirs I have ever heard in my life! The worship and praise is real! I have been slain in the spirit by Pastor Wilson and the annointing is on their whole ministry. I moved to Virginia and that is the only reason that I am no longer there. But many Christians that buy gospel cds are looking for a cd that has good music on it all the way through without too much talking & preaching. What I call a true Christian is someone that is willing to face the truth, even if they are hearing it on their gospel cd. If you are just looking for a cd with good sonds on it then you probably need to buy Kirk Franklin, Tye Tribbett, or a holy hip hop cd. Shekinah Glory Ministry is an experience that links you to true worship with God! Both of their cds are like that. Flawless worship that gets you going in the morning and gets you settled in the evening. Those that complain about all the screaming & yelling are being completely biased. Those same people have no problem listening to hip hop & R&B crooners yelling & screaming their sexually explicit lyrics all day long, but when it comes to people totally selling out for God & screaming His praises people seem to have a problem with it. To come on Amazon and give this cd a 1 star is very disrespectful & downright evil. If I don't listen to hip hop I wouldn't go online and give a Lil' Wayne or Jay-Z cd a 1 star, I would just not rate the cd at all. Your goal is to simply stop people from buying this cd, but it will not work! There are way more good reviews than bad ones, so you lose! Buy this cd, you will never regret it! All Glory goes to God!



5. By far this is rated high among one of the best praise and worship projects I've heard. It invites you into a holy place, pure and simple.

1. I was pleased with this cd and it was received in a relativley short amount of time.



2. ...I like to do create compelation albums for my family sort of like the hits from the gospel world and this cd completed my awesome album that I created where "Never Would Have Made It" finished off the cd in dramatic fashion. That song puts tears in your eyes!



3. ...and over and over. You WILL be blessed! Every single song will have your attention. Very professionally put together!



4. Although the CD was wrapped nicely, the CD does not work at all and I tried different CD players. Its just not worth the effort to re-package and send it back. I'm done ordering on line though Amazon.

1. I love the arrangements of these old hymns. I love the harmony of the voices. The sound is rich and full. I have almost worn my cd out listening to it.



2. This is a great album if you like old style hymns. Very uplifting music. Old favorites with a new twist. Avalon's albums never let me down.



3. Just had to comment on how uplifting this cd is.......thank you Avalon for your beautiful versions of these songs. God has blessed you with a sweet, joyful sound. God has blessed me for coming across this music. Anyone who loves Jesus will treasure this cd for a long time........



4. I don't wanna deceive Avalon fans but this rendition to the hymns isn't that great, or should I say "out of common".. Even tough it arrived home broken, I had a listen to it, and it didn't grab me as other Avalon projects did in the past. Am not gonna say that it's awful tough but they sure could've done it much better. Maybe I'm wrong, some may like this album, depends if you only like slow-balladry stuff. I prefer projects with very different genres. I expected stuff like the Oxygen's catchy tunes. Once again, I think no one did better rendition to the old hymns than 4 HIM. I tell you: it's a must have. Sorry Avalon, but this time, I could only give 3 stars.



5. I'm a "boomer" gen and I really enjoyed all but one track on this CD. They were very uplifting, esp. while sittting in traffic. They renewed my focus on God and Christ.If you are looking for the classic hymns with upbeat arrangements/ sound without heavy rock or bass, then you'll enjoy this CD, I did.

1. Good thing this is a fun CD to listen to... my granddaughter listens to it over and over again... and we all enjoy it! A nice selection of familiar easy to sing songs.



2. Bought the tape because it was so cheap. The shepherd and lamb on the tape cover kinda tells you songs might be religious, but I agree, it would be nice to tell customers that in the product description. The words in some of the songs are super-silly (read - stupid). In spite of this, I love the tape! The tunes are very engaging, to the point that I find myself listening to (and singing along with) this tape all the way to work after I drop off my son at his daycare. My toddler son likes these songs too. This tape is one of the only two children's song tapes that I keep in my car for my son's entertainment. For the money, it is a nice tape to add to your collection.



3. Bought it to entertain out 6 month old grandkid. It works, if we sing along with him :-)

5. Love the kids songs on here and how it's kids singing them. My daughter, who is 2, loves it as well. She tries to sing a long and dance with the music. AWESOME CD!

3. This CD is off the chain,... AMAZING vocals, the runs just give me chills. He is a very down-to-earth person with a wonderful gift of music from the Lord. His transparency in sharing of himself in his music is very unique,.. very hip hop friendly and at the same time there are songs for the simple, gospel folks. 73 degrees gives me chills - a gospel jazz accompaniment that is phenomenal. Know Him with the fantastic Karen Clark-Sheard,... whew they just blow at the end. My goodness! Dance with Kirk Franklin,... all the songs to get you moving in body and spirit. This is a MUST HAVE if you are into contemporary gospel that speaks to the real life situations.



4. I seen some previous reviews, and all I can say is all that matters is the message. I really wish that we all could look past the outer and look at the enter. His message about the struggles of life and surrendering of ones self to God is the only thing we should really be thinking about. I have always been a fan and I prefer his more slower tempo songs, which are mainly worship music. He is a person that I can turn on his CD and I dont have to jump to certain songs. When it's time to praise, I praise, and when it's time to worship I'm ready. I thank God for MEN like him who do whatever it takes to let people know that GOD is the only way, and he gives you inspiration to keep going no matter what's going on around you.



5. I absolutely love JMoss but this album isn't what i'm used to hearing. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed. I will continue listening to V1.
