- This is a great CD! This is the 2nd CD that I bought of the Tabernacle Choir. I purchased this and haven't taken it out of our CD player in 2 months. It is very inspirational and very professionally done. I recommend you buy this immediately!
- Wow, I used to enjoy their music but never owned any cds of them. I bought this cd few weeks ago and it has never been removed from my car radio ever since. The music is so poweful and brings one closer to God. I like the track 'The Lord Thy God' and 'Spirit Fall Down'. 'Worthy is the Lamb' just takes me to another place I have never been before. I enjoyed their version of 'I never lost my praise'. I love this music and thanks Brooklyn T. C for sharing God with me in this way! I can't wait to recieve your DVD I have ordered.
- This CD is beautiful. I have many of the Brooklyn Tabernacle CD's and this one is great. They sing with such inspiration and love.
- As always, the Brooklyn Tabeernacle Choir gave God the honor and the glory. This is truly a praise and worhsip experience. I have brought many of their recordings and I have neve been disappointed. I encourage them to continue to seek God's wisdom on their projects.
- May God bless all of you who are encouraged by the songs on this cd, please continue to enjoy it. Everybody have different tastes and this is only my opinion.
When Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir puts out a new cd I believe I'm like the first person to purchase it. I love this choir.
Unfortunately I listened to "I'll Say Yes" twice, and have already stashed it away.
I'm waiting with eager anticipation for their next project though!

- Chris Tomlin and group have once again provided listeners with another Holy Spirit inspired collection of praise and worship tunes. With "God of this city", Tomlin has challenged believers across the world to go out into there local areas and take back what the enemy has stolen and to claim their cities for the Glory of God Almighty! "I will Rise" is a beautiful work of art that depicts, with awesome clarity, the majesty the Glory and the Power that will be seen at the return of the Messiah---Jesus Christ!!
- This is a great CD. This is one of those rare CD's that you really like just about every song on it. The only song I didn't care for was "Love" because I don't care for the childrens choir, although, the message was good.
- Chris Tomlin's Hello Love is a great piece of music collectivley and a wonderful worship tool. The lyrics are great and wonderfully inspirational - the instrumentals are moving and very uplifting
- I love this CD. It creates an environment for worship and praise. Both music and lyrics are great.
- Another one in a long history of great worship by Chris. This is a must have CD.

5 comments about Offerings II: All I Have to Give.
- This is a great worship album. Third day brings their "A" game for these recordings. If you have never seen them live get this album it gives a good taste, and then get tickets to the first show you can get. This is a great ROCKIN WORSHIP album.
- I suppose the best evidence of how I view this album would be to confess that I've sat here through the morning with tears on my cheeks as I absorb the potency of its tribute, truly a well-rendered offering.
Third Day, a band of gravelly-voiced, southern-fried rockers in alignment with their Maker offer up a slough of worships songs possessed of an edgy sweetness.
Easily the pick of the litter is a stunning live rendition of the late Rich Mullins' 'I Believe'. This rocked-up rendition of the historic Apostle's Creed gets its spiritual credibility from the anti-mood-of-the-moment refrain:
And I believe what I believe in
is what makes me what I am.
And I did not make it,
no it is making me
It is the very truth of God
and not the invention of any man.
When I played this song for a group of colleagues in the Middle East recently, one greatly appreciated friend found it repugnant because the performers were 'up there shouting about sacred things'. I beg to differ. Apostolic clarity is only seldom so poignantly spoken and, in my view, with so little self-absorption.
THIRD DAY's formula is a rock-the-basement bass line with strong acoustic and electric guitars and dependable drumming, all fronted by the inimitable Mac Powell on vocals. Powell has one of those voices that conjures up a full-grown man-baby being born ready and willing to sing from Day One.
It was probably not like this. Perhaps he only began his ragged crooning on the third day.
What this middle-aged reviewer, who perhaps knows enough of both cynicism and hope to offer an opinion, is the wonder of these men turning their talents to praise, to the crafting of an offering.
As they sing, in one of these unforgettable tracks, others have offered more but his is all I have.
Indeed.
It sounds good to hear them place it in just that way.
- Offerings II is an amazing worship album. It is full of powerful praise and worship songs.
There are so many great songs on this album that it is hard to pick out favorites. Certainly 'Show Me Your Glory' and 'God of Wonders' are amazing. Beyond those, there are several other tracks that are outstanding. Mac Powell's distinct voice, the instrumental talent of the band, and the worshipful lyrics are a powerful combination.
This is a must have CD for anyone who likes worship music and/or Christian rock.
- Third Day has outdone themselves with a moving follow-up to their first worship album, Offerings. Offerings II is anything but redundant, pushing the listener even further into the presence of God. Those who are familiar with the band's music will find their expectations exceeded with this project. For those not familiar with Third Day, these two worship projects are an excellent place to start. These guys truly have given all they have to give.
- At first, I was a little disappointed with this album, I'll admit...because I was expecting some great rock songs that I could belt out (way off-key!) in my car. But after giving it another chance without any expectations, I realized that the songs are beautiful, catchy, very well-written, and fill you up with good feelings and inspiration. My favorites are "I want to sing a song" and "Offering". If you like Third Day's "Wire" CD, then purchase this with an open mind. You will still love it, but for different reasons. :-)

- With talent beyond their years, fun faith-filled lyrics, spunk and high "NRG", thirteen year olds Caroline Williams and Carolyne Meyers and fifteen year old Jordan Yates shine as Pure NRG in their sophomore album "Here We Go Again". The title is quite appropriate because of the fact that the trio shows the same talent and dedication as in their self-titled debut album only enhanced with further experience. This isn't just a "teeny-bopper" group, behind their poppy sound and lyrics, their belief of God sure shines through and makes them stand out and become a favorite of parents for their kids to listen to. Good, clean fun, is just what parents want for their kids and what their kids truly need. Personally, I love music that has substance but, is still clean and I'm in my mid-teens. I'm a Christian too naturally making Pure NRG's "Here We Go Again" one of my happiest listening expierences.
- I bought this CD for my girls who love music. Was tired of Hannah Montanna so thought I'd pick this up. It's great positive lyrics and upbeat songs are a hit with our whole family. BFF is one of the girls favorites. We've given it as gifts to tween friends and its a hit!
- This is their secong album and again they bring it!They are not world known yet but they are getting their. This to me was better than the first cause it brought more.Best songs off there was"Here we go again","Like"
"Call on Jesus" and many more. This is perfect for younger kids and older kids because it brings the message to anyone and tells them to serve God and not the world and to get your life on the right track before its too late.My sister love this when I bought it for her birthday and u should buy it,trust me,you will not be disappointed!
- I think these kids do a great job of creating fun, upbeat, easy to listen to music. I highly recommend this CD.
- pureNRG's energy invites you to participate--sing along and move to the beat of each and every song. Most of the songs make you feel alive and happy as well as make you think. Songs like Like and BFF are contemporary topics for tweeners, but other songs are definitely for all ages. It is a great tween and family DVD with great words and music. Memorize the words; they are good for living a good life! So Here We Go, Again is the continuation of something worthwhile, wholesome, and a whole lot of fun.

5 comments about Wherever You Are.
- Third Day is a great cd. It is up lifting christian music. You can't help but to get on fire for God while listening.
- "Wherever You are" is another move upward by 3rd Day, progressively towards perfection. From the very first song, "Light at the end of the Tunnel" provides the opening msg for the entire album. All songs are powerfully written and performed, with "Cry out to Jesus" the most radio-popular, but every song is intense with honesty ('Who do you think you are': warning to religiosity and pious minded super-imposers who attempt to negatively influence people)and doctrine:"Communion". This is Through and Through Third Day's Best effort, and far outshines most Contemporary Christian artists today, with the only comparable challenge being David Crowder.
- I'm not saying there's anything wrong with inspirational songs, it's just that it can be overdone to the point where you're like, I'm not inspired. Eventually if you do it too much, you've lost your purpose. That's what happened here. If "Cry Out To Jesus" was the only inspirational song on here, there wouldn't be a problem. But instead, those type of song had to be the theme of the album, which isn't bad, it just couldve been done better. "Tunnel" and "Mountain of God" regardless of lyrics, are very poorly executed songs, and quickly shoot themselves near the top of the list for worst radio singles of the year.
These songs, and songs like them sink the album to one of the worst of 2006. Sorry Third Day, your last album was a whole lot better. Better luck next time. Inspirational is good, but very boring if overdone.
- As someone who has hit a rough time in their life when my daughter became very ill, this album has a special place in my heart. It was a dark and scary time and this album was one of my son's favorites at that time. It would play bringing him back and forth to school and it always seemed to reach me when I needed encouragement or began to feel lost. I actually found myself in tears at times. I have read a review that it was too "lyrically simple". Maybe you have to have gone through a time like this, but overly complicted would not have reached me to be quite frank. I am going to send this CD to a friend with a child in the pediatric ICU. I think it will encourage her and her husband too. I also found it a good work musically and I have really enjoyed listening to it. Everyone likes differant styles of music, but it is a solid album!
- Love it!!! Awesome CD, a great blessing and you will love it too! All their best songs in one CD. Can't beat that! This is the second CD I have brought of Third day already. Great blessing!

5 comments about The Best of Sixpence None the Richer.
- I'm a bit of a completist, but I don't buy "best ofs" or "greatest hits" collections for the songs I already have. I get them (used, whenever possible) for the bonus material they add to get suckers like me to buy something again I already have 90% of it. This one is different though.
I welcomed this release as an opportunity to make space on my CD rack by removing many compilations which I had only purchased for the exclusive 6pence track. Goodbye "Dick" soundtrack, no more having to explain your presence. But there are still plenty of CDs that I could have parted with as well, had the songs been included here. The "Bounce" soundtrack, the single for "Us" live on the Today Show(!) are two off the top of my head.
This is far from a "best of" collection, but who needs that anyway? There are already enough Sixpence collections that if you only wanted the early years and the Top 40 years, you could do so with only two or three discs. It would have been better to leave off the album tracks altogether and focus on adding more obscure songs. There are already enough covers, but "Bouquet," "Road to Zion," and even "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" would have been great instead of "There She Goes" and "Don't Dream It's Over." "Rainy Day Assembly" from Tess Wiley's first EP had her singing lead with 6pence backing her up. Incredible song, and not really out of place since she had been in the band. A bit more of a stretch may have been Leigh with Jason Martin of Starflyer 59, performing together as Starflyer 2000 for one brilliant song. Other great extracuricular songs with just Leigh include those from "Canticle of the Plains," and the incredible "Need to Be Next to You." Of course, this is just a wish list, the legal issues may have been an obstacle. The many great B-sides have been mentioned (and missed). Alternate recordings and demos would have been more interesting than album tracks. Newer fans may have appreciated songs from the rare and long out of print "the Original Demos" EP.
Collections like this always suffer from fans saying what REALLY should have been on the CD. Had the focus been more specific, like a true "greatest hits / best of" (gauged not just by radio, but concert favourites as well), or a true "rarities" collection, this CD would not be as big a let down. Which is not to say that it is a letdown, just that it could have been much more.
Oh, and for the other completists, there are at least two different versions of the cover art.
- It might be worth just buying their albums one by one as most of the songs are good and you wouldn't want to buy this and then double back later. Matt's guitarwork has the power to make me happy no matter what, it's articulated so well. The vocals are very smooth and pretty and fun. The guitar in "us" can stay in my head for days. There's so much more than kiss me, these people know what their doing, no "one hit wonder".
- I love this CD. Though I am not a regular buyer of pop groups I couldn't help but get this one.
I listen to it when I get a tad grumpy and it brings me back to a happy place. Her voice is so pretty it couldn't do anything else.
Love all the covers.
- Leigh Nash has just an amazing voice. You'll enjoy this Best Of!
- This CD has a "catch": the surprisingly beautiful voice of Leigh Nash.
I am usually reluctant to hits covers, but in this case I would suggest to give a special try to SNTR performance of The La's "There She Goes", Crowded House's superhit "Don't Dream It's Over", and even Abba's "Dancing Queen". Special mention to that wonderful tune titled "Kiss Me". Leigh Nash's voice reinvents these songs and provides a new dimension to the meaning of "Cover version".
Believe me... this CD is a serious improvement for your music collection!

5 comments about Coming Up to Breathe.
- Mercy Me has always had a knack for writing good, catchy material. The underside is that their first couple of albums were pretty hit and miss. On "Spoken For," that problem was finally rectified: the band fully hit their stride with a quality masterpiece. I was incredibly eager for their next release, especially given all the hoopla surrounding it.
Sorry, "Coming Up to Breathe" is a disappointment. There are still a few likable songs, but the arrangements are cluttered and busy, the lead singer too often strays beyond a comfortable range, and the quality and interest-factor dip as the album goes along.
The upshot is that I still listen regularly to "Spoken For." "Coming Up to Breathe" on the other hand? Almost never.
- This is another MM hit! Very real and life changing songs on each of their cd's.
- The Cd I ordered was in good condition, however the time it took for me to receive the item was past the time they gaurenteed it. Also I e-mailed the people as to where the item was and never got a response back. I would have to say that I will not want to do business with this company again.
- Tracks 1 & 11 & 12 are the best tracks on this whole CD. The rest of the tracks are out place & dont fit to well with the tracks that are awesome.
- This is one of those albums that has the gift of longevity. Even good music wears out on you after a few months, but I keep coming back to MercyMe's Coming Up to Breathe time and again.
The lyrics are deep. Take this one from
* I'd die for you *
My life has never been this clear
Now I know the reason why I'm here
You never know why You're alive
Until you know what you would die for
I would die for You
* SOMETHING ABOUT YOU *
If I could speak the tongue of every man I'm still tongue-tied
What can I say about You
When everything I have won't do
Oh, it will not do
* WHERE I BELONG *
Everybody tries
To find the purpose for their life
In hopes that one more day is justified
But once you truly see
The very reason why you breathe
It becomes so much more than getting by
Well, I have arrived
And I can't keep this inside
An album you won't regret buying that will inspire you and uplift you when you're down. It builds the fighting spirit within.

- This album in my oponion is his best solo album.
Very high in energy very fresh!!
Smack the MAC is back!!
I rate this CD a 9 from 1to10!!
- I just got this album along with Portable Sounds because it was recommended by amazon and it had Burn For You on it. Boy, was I wrong! This album had so many happy and diverse (pardon the pun) surprises on it. To be honest, I'm not a Christian rap fan or even a Tobymac fan. Or, at least I wasn't before hearing this album. The Slam was one song I actually recognized from the Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift trailer, I think. Gone, another popular radio hit was a pleasant surprise. I'm not sure if my parents know I got Christian rap albums or if I really am sold on it, but Tobymac really puts his heart for Jesus into his work. You know the phrase... Try it, you'll like it? Well the same thing with tobymacs music. You may like it or downright hate it, but I feel that Toby mac has the cleanest rap music and just about anything else hoppy that you'll ever hear in your life. Considering what other trash there is selling under the Christian name, its good to know there's someone out there that can spread a positive, encouraging message through a genre of music that has been so corrupted by this world.
- I've heard Toby Mac's music on that radio station I listen to daily. The songs they played sounded cool, so I was convinved to buy this CD. After listening to the CD as a whole, it was a let down to me. A few of the tracks are upbeat and gitty, while there are a few tracks that are more a heavier tone, and some with a mellow reggae-like style. This CD seemed almost experimental; I didn't feel like I got a representation of what this artist was bringing to the table. The first few tracks were great, but the rest are majorly disappointing. This CD makes me ponder on not buying anymore CDs from this artist. If there are tracks that I do like from the artist in the future, I'll be buying those tracks individually from Amazon MP3.
- All sixteen tracks on this album are awesome and make it nearly a greatest hits compilation, my personal favorites being Track 2: Whoopsie Daisy/Catch A Fire, Track 3:The Slam, and both Tracks 11 and 14 are excellent also, the former being Burn For You and the latter Phenomenon, although as stated earlier, the whole CD is truly excellent and worth the price. If you are struck between buying this or Momentum, I'd have to say get Welcome To Diverse City, which is three times as excellent as Momentum, although I'm not complaining about latter either. Buy them both!
Other similar Christian Rock bands I recommend include:
DC Talk
&
Skillet
Keep on Rocking/Rapping, Toby!
- I never thought I would enjoy this kind of music until I listened to this album a few times. TobyMac is great. The different sounds of each song keep you hopping. It's a great cd to pop in if you're having a down day. It never fails to cheer me up. Also turn on Ill-M-I for an instant pump-up before playing a ballgame. There is also plenty of depth to be found on tracks like Stories and Burn for You.

- Great music! Love the quality of the recording. I would recommend this CD to anyone!
- All I can say is that this is Norman Hutchins at his best. His ministry continues to bless many the world over. This project has a little bit of everything, from the down home traditional (It's Your Season, He's Been Good) to the praise and worship (Your Love Is Amazing, along with tracks eight through ten). With guest appearances by Pastors Timothy Wright and Daryl Coley, this is a musical treat for the true gospel lovers.

- I had heard the song "Undo" before and that is the reason that I purchased this CD. Now after listening to the rest of the songs, I am a new fan of "Rush of Fools". They represent the new Christian music and I am a big fan of both the old hymns and these new ones too. This is a great CD & I look foward to hearing more from this group.
- This cd is a blessing!! every song from this cd is very touching as if God is trying to tell me something. the music from the cd is true. these guys are blessed and have a wonderful testomony through song. may God bless these young men and may the Lord bless there lives has they touch peoples lives through song.
- THis CD is great through and through. It doesn't have any filler songs. Every song is worthwhile.
- I love this cd, every song is a worship song and would be hard pressed to pick any one favorite. I saw them in concert and was so impressed I had to buy the cd. The songs are amazing for such a young and talented group. One can only write songs like that from experience in knowing their God!!!
- When the Rush of Fools album was given to me by a friend of mine, I fell in love with it right away! As some other reviewers have mentioned, musically there is so much to enjoy and appreciate. I have listened to this cd many times and it remains fresh with each play. I also find that the lyrics strike me in different ways as I listen to it more and more. I keep finding new thoughts to ponder as the words hit my heart and I come away encouraged and refreshed because I can identify with what they are talking about. There is a lot of wisdom here for such a young band. I, too look forward to their next release!
